The accommodation is tired and needs updating. The rooms are very basic and were not very clean. The bathroom needs to be completely refurbished. The staff were helpful and pleasant but overall not a pleasant stay and would not recommend staying there

So after reading comments from others, good and bad, I believe this hotel has a two tier room system. The front looks good and is ground level. The back is seedy and it seems they haven't made any attempts to do even small things to make up for the dated rooms. The restaurant was good, staff were great. Room was not clean but at least the sheets were, which was appreciated. It looked like the floor had been mopped without vacuuming, small pebbles, what may or may not have been a toenail etc. Something on toilet seat and wall . Garbage can with very rusty pedal, mat inside door was very nasty looking. No windows to open, NO END TABLES. Hand soap close to empty.

I will start with a positive! Staff friendly and accommodating. That is the only positive I have to say about this hotel. Rooms leave a lot to be desired, very run down and would benefit from a good clean. We moved rooms 3 times before we made the decision to stay - wish I had stuck with my gut and left straight away. Restaurant and bar area needs a good clean just as much as rooms. I can safely say I won’t be back and certainly would not recommend this place.

11pm late check in staff left a key in a safe which was great but when we got to the room the door was actually ajar which is worrying when the rooms are accessed from outside and the car park is a car charging area with random people turning up all night. On the face of it clean and modern but very quickly you ca see the neglect. Bathroom very mouldy, broken internal window pane with sharp glass uncovered. The room was a first floor room accessed from a walkway to all the first floor rooms and yet the bathroom window is a velux window at head height without a blind or any coverage, so yes, people can genuinely see you in the shower. TV is turned on by one of 8 unmarked light switches in between the beds with no marking. Holes in the wall where fixtures used to be. Relatively low price point but not low enough that you’d expect this level of neglect. Positive that dogs are allowed but £15 charge despite all the flooring being laminate anyway so no extra cleaning required in my opinion. Also manky cigarette bin directly outside the door.

Basic room. Clean but missing key essentials. No power anywhere in reach of the beds. No curtain to cover a full length window by the door so at night people can see you in bed and in the morning you can’t escape the sunlight. Reception closes at 8pm with no way to contact anyone after this. No phone signal and no WiFi coverage in my room.

Arrived in the room and found the toilet had been bleached but the seat not washed. I am a little OCD to immediately went to local supermarket and purchased anti -bac and cloths, then cleaned the room surfaces to my standard.
I have worked in the hotel industry and know that the cleaners only have a certain amount of time to clean in each room. But maybe they need a bit more time to do their job. Overall the hotel needs a bit of a refresh but we booked in the knowledge that it was a bit cheaper than others in the area, so we accepted the negatives. Staff were great which was the upside. I would stay again so don't be put off by my review folks, just making you aware.

Only comment is that the rooms were tired and could do with a lick of paint and new grouting but did not spoil our stay at all and we’ll use again.

Location and parking were good. Room and bathroom a good size, but unfortunately decor inside was not good which let the stay down - room dated and decor not finished where lights had been moved, bathroom radiator rusty so unusable.

Was quoted £15 for a dog for our two night stay as per their website and email, but charged £25 stating it is £15 per dog, per night. Manager advised he would be updating the website, but did not honour the advertised price for our stay.

- Bathroom had bad mould around the shower, peeling veneer from the shower pane, chipped bath enamel, and general neglect and poor/ no maintenance.
- The Bedroom was a reasonable size but with a very worn mattress on the bed which felt more like a hammock.

As soon as you entered the foyer where the room was located there was a stench. We opened the room door and the smell was much worse. We worked out it was drains but was unbearable. The room was dirty dust and marks every where. The bathroom was covered in black mould on the grout and silicone.
The bedding looked clean but the actual bed frame was loosely together and the headboard was barely attached. My partner and I decided we couldn’t stay there and had to leave and no attend the party we were meant to be going to. Tried to give our key back but reception was all locked up even though the times on the door said it should have been still open.

I had to book at last minute due to a cancellation of another booking, the hotel staff were friendly and the bed was very comfy, but it was a challenge to open the doors with the handle and yale lock and bags!
The signage was difficult to see out front in the dark when driving!

The room was clean, spacious, and surprisingly comfortable — plenty of space to relax without feeling crowded. The beds were cozy, and everything felt well-kept and thoughtfully arranged. The hotel has a warm, welcoming atmosphere with modern touches. Staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, offering great local recommendations and making everything easy from check-in to check-out. The location was ideal with a golf course just behind it

Good but not perfect

A good place to stay and very convenient if you have a Tesla with all the excellent superchargers out the back.

Big spacious room, and the staff were good, in particular the young lady on reception, who was 10/10 for manner, helpfulness and customer service attitude.

Downsides :
1) The room was good but the bathroom had areas if black mould in between the tiles, and there was no bedside cabinet, so phones, glasses, contact lenses had to go on the floor. The floor surface was solid not carpeted, so not exactly warm on the feet.

2) I stayed on a Saturday night. I was well aware there was a function on and that there would be music until midnight, which didnt bother me. What did bother me though was the noise of the party guests, shouting, swearing and smashing bottles or glasses right outside my bedroom door. I'm also glad I had the foresight to park my car round the back, as with what was going on outside I fear cars would have been damaged.. I would say this hotel is better suited to weekday stays or if you are a weekend party guest, and i'd recommend parking round the back!

Other than that, all good, a decent nights sleep, and first class customer service from the young lady at reception.

We went to a function and stayed at the hotel. All staff were fantastic and the function room was excellent with a reasonably priced bar with a good selection of drinks. The room was a bit tired, a bit dusty and there were cobwebs on the lights. Bed was comfy enough and after the function it was very quiet. We didn't stay for breakfast. It was great being able to park right outside our room!

We stayed in the hotel for the weekend as we were visiting Chester zoo and it was great as it was only a 20 min drive. The room was fine for us as we just needed it for sleeping and showering. The bed was very comfy and the free tea & coffee was a nice touch for the early starts. Slightly dated in some places but well suited for a short stay. Be mindful that the amenities in the surrounding area are quite limited we didn’t look into this before booking so venturing outside of the hotel for food/drinks was difficult. We highly recommend the Raj Balti curry house in nearby Flint if you do want to explore outside of the hotel :)

More run down motel than hotel!

The place was relatively clean but it resembled a run down American motel rather than a hotel. In desperate need of renovation. Room was supposed to be for 5 people but would say 4 at the most. Luckily had two skinny kids with us that shared the fold down but there wasn’t enough room for them and the bed didn’t even have bedding we had to ask for it. The other single bed half covered the bathroom door! Sheets were clean but stained and the whole place just looked uncared for. Never saw any staff other than when we first checked in so can’t really rate the customer service anymore than I have. Was a disappointing stay, thankfully it was just a base for a couple of days but even the kids didn’t like it!

Very disappointing. I only needed a place to sleep.
I did not complain to the staff, no point, I needed to sleep.
Floor in bedroom, dirty in two places .
Furniture old, badly pained over with some areas showing the original dark wood finish under. NOT SHABBY CHIC. Just very shabby with even a handle missing.
Bathroom had a cracked hand basin , very visable . No plug in hand basin , had to use tissue to fill basin. Tissue visable in walls where it was used to clean. Tiles not clean, visable marks when rubbed with wet toilet tissue came off.
Dirty towel . I slept on not in the bed, and dressed . I was too tired to complain I had had a long drive. I needed sleep. Even when tired, noise from running water late into night perhaps filling a tank perhaps made sleep difficult .
The room was paid for as non refundable I was not going to go and find other accommodation too tired. Or demand a room change. Its should have been clean and in good order. It may be the worst room in the Hotel, I do not know.

The property is very run down and needs money spent to make it clean and appealing. The music and foul language being shouted from the disco went on until the early hours of the morning making it impossible to sleep. When we checked in the male member of staff said \" you may hear some music\" in truth it was as if the disco was in the bedroom. Ive tried to resolve the issue but the respinse has dried up from Heather , who i assume is the manager. Save yourself a great deal of dissapointment and avoid Flint Mountain Hotel. The review is factual and can be evidenced by video footage.

Area leading to the room was filthy with rubbish like old confetti etc.
Internally I’ve taken about 8 photos of unfinished skirting and walls ,
White paint stains on bathroom floor tiles,damaged wall where the wrong door closer on the ext. door had smashed the plaster .
The floor area hadn’t seen a hoover after previous visitors. The kettle had white paint stains and no PAT Test label.A towel rail in the bathroom was literally hanging off the wall.

First stay at Mountain Park hotel Flint. Great welcome off lovely, friendly staff. Welcome information given.
Our room was lovely and spacious. Very clean and a comfortable bed.
We didnt stay for breakfast so couldnt comment on the food
The only picky but is the Wifi kept dipping in and out which made it difficult at times but not the end of the world.
Also our room was facing the carpark and as we were there on one of the hottest days we had to open the window in the evening. Unfortunately there was a lot of noise for a bit with cars charging at the ev points and keeping the engine running and i was woken at 2am by someone shouting outside the room next to us.
But it would not stop us staying here again.

The location is beautiful. Really nice place to stay but i had a few hiccups while staying. Shower was missing the glass to stop the water entering the bedroom so the floor got flooded. They did apologise and let us use next door (noone was there for the weekend) found the sink had a crack in the middle. No aircon in the room. Couldnt leave the windows open as all through the night, there are tesla cars re-charging in the back of the carpark so didnt feel safe. Staf were friendly and helpful.

The hotel is okay what I would expect for 3 star a little rough around the edges. It was an overnight visit.
Few downsides, the windows were impossible to open (unless you about 7ft tall…) and the room became stuffy very quickly. If you do open them make sure it’s at the right angle in case of rain! Thin walls and if someone happens to be smoking something very pungent nearby expect the scent to join you in the room - easily solved with allowing the vents to be closed or better sealant around the doors (hard to work out where is was coming in). Staff are lovely though and breakfast was very good!

The room was clean, but very basic. Needed some TLC. No bedside tables. Mirrors not attached. Tissue hanging out of an unused socket. Unsightly shelving/hanging area for clothes. No curtain or cover for the window to the door leading outside. The bed was comfortable. It was warm and peaceful.

Great hotel

Our room was in the annex not the main hotel and for us this was perfect. We never heard anything from the events happening that weekend.
The room needed a small amount of TLC including the grouting around the bathroom. However, it was clean, just needs a maintenance person to swoop out lightbulbs and touch up paint.
If you want to spend the night like you’ve slept in a cloud request room 7 the bed was one of the comfiest beds I’ve slept in.

We didn’t use the hotel restaurant due to its opening/closing hours and you can get breakfast there.

There is also plenty of parking and our welcome was great from the staff.

All in all a great little hotel and we would stay again.

Nice hotel in a very peaceful location. Comfortable room, clean, a bit short on consumables, tea, coffee & milk. Sorry but didn’t use the restaurant, we were visiting relatives 10 minutes away. Will stay here again.
