Bathroom fan sounded like an asthmatic jet plane. Beds old and very firm. Room clean and plenty of towels but the kicker was next to no sleep thanks to a loud, intermittent clicking noise about every 4 to 6 seconds that started in the middle of the night. Paid over £200 for 2 nights of non sleep!

No safe. too much noise from cleaning staff. Location of room (116) was next to the supply room. The supply room door was continually being open and closed and then allowed to to swing shut with a bang. Tough location to get out of if travelling to Chester. Front desk staff very helpful as well as restaurant and bar staff. No fridge in room but bar was very helpful in supplying buckets of ice. Stayed 4 nights

I had a lovely experience here.
Starting from reception I was welcomed by Veronika a professional friendly receptionist oriented to the customer needs.
The entire staff which I meted here was lovely, helpful and nice with everyone.
The rooms was clean, free from odor or anything bad. The accommodation was fantastic, loads of parking spaces, restaurants close and in the hotel with very delicious meals. At restaurant I was greeted by Mrs Maria, a multi language speaker lady who was carefully helping everyone in the restaurant to have a wonderful experience. Thank you everyone. Located literally on the busy A55 (I did not hear traffic overnight), but has the benefit of a McDonalds, OK Diner, Starbucks for a decent coffee and a Shell garage (in addition to the bar/restaurant in the hotel itself). Ample parking, lovely staff, really clean although needs a bit of a refurb in my opinion. Shower not great in terms of power, small TV, no plugs by bed, in my room anyway. Mattress had seen better days, there was a dip on one side. Pillows weren't great but these could be changed if requested. Some oat milk sachets would be a good offering these days for the hospitality tray. Air con unit in the room was a pleasant surprise on a very warm weekend. Apprecatied that. Overall, a good enough stay, No complaints, just feedback.

We had a room by the lifts. It was really noisy, people shouting and knocking on the doors at 1am. People outside the windows at the front being very noisy. We mentioned this in the morning was told we should have told reception, as they would have advised people to keep the noise down. But this should have been standard practice. Air con/heating didn't work in the room. There was a stand alone plug in heater, which really is unacceptable, as there should be fitted heating. Couldnt leave it on all night or control the temp, so the room was extremely cold in the morning.

The hotel itself was agreeable. As a tourist in town overnight, the staff helped me settle in and were incredibly helpful. The only inconvenience is that it is not walkable to town because it is near a motorway. Therefore, one had to rely on taxis. They did however assist in booking one for me. Again, the staff was very helpful.

First of all i want to say the staff are exceptional at this site so this poor review in not reflective of them at all.

As we walked into the site it was obvious it could do with a renovation as the decor was dated. We got our room key and headed to our room where we was greeted with a room that was stifling heat wise. So i went to turnnon the air con to find it was not working. So i went to reception to be told that none on the air con units were working as they wernt plumbed in but we'd been given 2 fans... these barley caused any air to circulate which came to our next problem where we couldnt open our windows all the time as our room was directly above the smoking area... why youd put this so close to the rooms is beyond me. I spoke to reception again regarding this but as there was a wedding party arriving the following day we couldnt be moved. Which also caused issues at night as people who were smoking were also talking thus waking our children up. Also with our bath ot was more like a tiny paddling pool only suitable for small children and not full sized adults. Barely long enough fo my legs to be straight and not even deep enough for my toes to be submerged when my heels were on the bottom... overall the staff are great but the hotel is substandard to say the least

Very understaffed. Took 20 minutes for anyone to be at reception to check in. Room had pubic hair in the bed sheet, bath and shower was mouldy. Very very poor, tried to call reception to complain no answer 4 times. No one at desk at check out just left the key on the side with a note as I was sick of being there

Tired Holiday Inn but lovely staff

Hotel allowed us to check in early which was lovely. Room was clean and staff were friendly and helpful. All was ok for the price. The hotel is tired and dated and in real need of a refurb in parts. The fridge was filthy had we needed it. We didn’t so wasn’t an issue for us.

The locks on the bathroom door did not work, nor did the air conditioning unit. There is a lack of plugs/ sockets and there are none near the bed, not ideal if you’re using a laptop in bed that then needs to be charged. The decor was rather out dated in the bedrooms are hallways, with the hallways having a funny odour to them. However the dining, bar and reception appeared reasonably modern. The car parking was good and easy to find. If you’re looking for food McDonald’s next door is your best bet, or OK Diner due to a lack of deliveroo services. The staff appeared friendly and helpful and were polite. This placed is okay to stay for one night if you’re looking for somewhere to rest your eyes after a long journey however would not recommend for a longer stay due to lack of facilities and unreasonable pricing.
