Unfortunately, due to Christmas parties, at the hotel, on both nights of our stay, we were unable to eat in the restaurant. We found a loved pub in the village.

It’s still a nice hotel but I feel their standards have dropped a bit. The breakfast is now buffet style unless you order something out of the ordinary. The room was not as nice as I remember previously. For instance some black around the bath. I think they need to spend a bit of money but like a lot of places they might be having to watch the pennies.

Even though I had a email from the hotel to say they could offer me a top floor room we didn’t get one when we checked in. Room 13 needs a good clean top to bottom as high dusting certainly dosent get done due to thick cobwebs!! Around the bottom of towel bowl on the outside was also dirty and sticky off old urine. Still smells of urine in the bathroom but could be due to floor tiles and it’s in the grouting on the floor!!

The hotel does have quite a 1990s feel to it in the rooms so isn’t particularly modern. The room unfortunately doesn’t have air conditioning so we did struggle to sleep. There was a small fan but it wasn’t particularly powerful and once you get past the torn window netting the window has limited opening so unable to really get any air in.
The shower head needs to be replaced, it clearly has some damage / leakage at the connection as water comes down from the pipe as well as the actual shower head.
I tried the room service ordering system which is WhatsApp, it’s been nearly a week now and I’m still waiting for the reply so this clearly is something that just doesn’t work, good idea though but not very useful if no one answers. Instead I walked five minutes down the road to the Co-op for some quick food and water. I’m aware I could also have ordered at reception, but why should I have to work my way through their varying ways of ordering before I find one that is working.
Breakfast was ok, small selection of food and standard items. I did have to hover around the ‘wait here to be seated’ sign for a few minutes though before I was noticed.

Stayed overnight following a wedding reception. We received a warm welcome and found the staff very friendly with a focus on providing great customer service. There was one male that helped us switch rooms due to being on the ground floor with a little one whilst a wedding was taking place- he was great and very accommodating. Overall lovely looking hotel. Unfortunately service lacked… breakfast in the morning they ran out of butter at 9am for toast and the chef had to cut some. Evening meal… staff again very friendly but unfortunately did not have any knowledge regarding menus or drinks available (not their fault) reception staff - again can’t complain about their service but not a great look when everytime you go to reception there’s a glass patio door and they were outside having a vape or cigarette and only came in when required. This is directly next to the reception area and very visible infront of guests; we felt we were being an inconvenience.

The hotel from the outside was lovely. The corridors were also neat and clean. The room was, however, in need of refurbishment. The mattress needed changing as we could feel every spring and it creaked like anything. There were cracked tiles in the bathroom and stains around the floor. Breakfast was not good as there was no control due to reception not booking slots for the guests so the poor restaurant team were inundated with people just turning up and they were finding it nigh on impossible to cope. The breakfast (what was there) was over cooked and we couldn't even cut into the black pudding and there was no pastries for most of our time in the restaurant.
Bit of advice from someone that has been in hospitality for 30yrs, take time bookings for breakfast. At least then it won't be carnage.

Nice hotel, clearly geared towards weddings. We are in the restaurant on a Saturday night whilst the wedding party was in full flow at the other side of the hotel. The food was really good and they accommodated our dietary requirements without a problem. All told it was a great stop over in our trip around the Chester area, recommended.

Clean but slightly tired room with comfortable beds. Largely very young staff who were in need of hospitality training. The meal service in particular could have been hugely improved with just a little direction of the inexperienced. Dont order eggs benedict for breakfast unless you are very keen on hollandaise sauce. Our main gripe was lack of signage and observed many other guests having the same issues. We stayed for 2 nights to attend a funeral and the wake was held here so very convenient. Overall not a bad experience but would struggle to find anything particularly good to say.

We loved our stay at the Rossett Hall Hotel. The staff was absolutely wonderful (special shout out to Helen!) and very helpful with our daily sightseeing questions. The food in the hotel is great and the rooms are spacious and clean with ample hot water and comfortable baths. Rossett is a small town that on its own doesn’t have too much to do, however the location of this hotel is fantastic. We flew into Manchester and rented a car and this hotel gave us a great base and easy access to all of North and Mid Wales as well as Manchester area. We had a wonderful stay and look forward to coming back. Highly recommended!

We had to attend a funeral in Wrexham and usually when we are there, we stay at the Ramada but I suppose that given it was Valentines night all the rooms there were fully booked. So trawling the web, we came across the Rossett Hall Hotel and were glad we did. A real find and thoroughly recommended.
