Old newspaper building so has character. The hosts have been doing it up over the years. Parts of the B&B could do with a bit of updating (eg paintwork on doors), but most importantly it's clean and spacious. Bathroom was new. Very nice breakfast area. Had a lovely short stay.

The location was great with a good location next to the Mersey Ferry. This is a great option if you don't want to pay city centre prices. The room was spacious, spotless, the beds were comfortable with nice linen. The shower was great and it was nice and quiet and dark, we slept really well. You were also able to control the temperature in the room very easily.

Brilliant say across the Mersey from Liverpool
The Liver View Hotel is an excellent place to stay, just a short ferry ride across the Mersey from Liverpool. The view of Liverpool from my room was stunning. Dave is a friendly and hard working host. The room was excellent, the bed super comfortable, the bathroom clean and efficient. I loved the morning breakfast, which is substantial and tasty. (I would suggest adding yogurt and fresh fruit to the options :>) I had a great stay and recommend this hotel to everyone.

The hotel staff are so friendly making us feel welcome. It is convienent for getting around, has parking and the breakfast is amazing. Would definately stay here again on next trip to Liverpool, may not be luxurious but the welcome makes it my choice.

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst attending a concert in Liverpool. The hotel was warm, clean and the rooms cosy. The owner was friendly and helpful and provided us with advice on the transport links into Liverpool. The hotel is within minutes of the ferry terminal so it was no problem getting into Liverpool. The breakfast was freshly cooked and the lady serving breakfast was also very friendly…When visiting Liverpool again I would not hesitate to stay here .

Loved our stay with David and his family, from the moment we checked in we were looked after. David was very welcoming. We had an amazing view over the river to the city from our room which was very comfy and had everything we needed. We absolutely loved the breakfast, the full english was really nice. We will definitely be coming back when we visit the area again.

It was brillant from start to finish the parking was ample for about 10 cars. It was 5 minutes away from the Seacombe Ferry Terminal also if you walk up St Paul road then turn right to Poulton road the bus stop is just there and takes you to Liverpool Centre. At a cost of £2 each way and takes about 15 minutes to city centre.
The Hotels is a two storey building but you can pick what floor you want solong as they have the rooms are available, breakfast was brillant you could have any you want within reason, WIFI in all rooms with tea and coffee. The bathroom had a walk in shower.
They have a pool table downstairs if you fancy it
The hospitality was brillant and that nothing was too much trouble.
We have been in over 30 hotel's all over Europe this year including Paris and this hotel was easily the best we have been in and as for the Price so cheap. All i can say is that we will definitely be going back here again, highly recommend. David was the manager a realy nice person.

Its a family run hotel the lounge aera is needing attention but the rooms are spotless beds are comfy Dave and his mother cant do enough for there guest's they are really nice and go out there way to help you with anything they also have Metro cards that you can use for the public transport all you have to do is active them by putting £6.50 in them for the day which you do at the loco shop and thats your public transport sorted for the day

We had the best time staying at The liver view the bedroom was lovely with a great view, clean and comfortable beds! The hospitality was incredible such lovely people and extremely helpful with anything we asked and the breakfast was the tastiest that we have had in a long time. The place its self is situated in a convenient location with the ferry to Liverpool being a 2-3 min walk. There is a news agents over the road and home bargains, again, 2-3 min walk away. I have not a single bad word to say and I’m already looking for an excuse to go and stay again! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Thank you to the very friendly & helpful owner, Dave. Spotlessly clean room and bathroom. Good shower. Lovely breakfast. Even provided a tower fan due to the heatwave. Very close to the ferry terminal. Dave also advised a Metrolink pass for my visit to the Antony Gormley art installation at Crosby beach (a thought-inspiring and brilliant place to visit).

Best base to visit Liverpool
From arrival this hotel and Dave and Co superseded our expectations. On arrival we were allocated our free parking in site and offered help with luggage. We were given advice on local area and travel tips that made things super cheaper for us! Dave was super nice and friendly, probably the best host we have ever encountered. We were taken to our room, which again superseded our expectations, it was spacious, modern, clean and had everything we needed. Bed was super comfy as were the pillows and duvets. Breakfast the next morning, included with our stay was the best breakfast we have ever had in a hotel. It was in a freshly decorated light airy room, with tablecloths and quality dinnerware. There was a cereal choice, toast and jams, and then cooked breakfast choice with your eggs anyway you like them. This arrived promptly and freshly made along with a pot of tea, coffee was available next to the cereal. All the breakfast was of a very high quality and the toast was such lovely bread. Our bed was made daily and fresh towels if needed. We didn’t use the hotel much apart from as a base but there is a lounge area, which includes TV and pool table. There is also a bar area but not sure if this is in use. There is a ‘singhsburys’ over the road were you can buy snacks or alcohol and top up travel cards and a ferry pick up very close by. We were very impressed by this hotel and would definitely use again.

If I could give this place 100 stars I would! The friendliest and kindest staff, thank you for your generosity and hospitality during our short stay! Made me a vegan breakfast every morning and gave us great tourist and travel advice which made our trip even smoother. Beautiful clean rooms and lovely bedding and shower facilities. We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Liverpool. Thank you to your lovely family for taking such good care of us!

Amazing experience from the moment I got there to the day I left. Dave and Cheryl are such amazing kind caring compassionate people. I came up for the Liverpool fc title parade and Dave and his friends took me into the city was so glad to have someone there who knew where they were going. Would highly recommend to anyone. The property is in the perfect position for the ferry to Liverpool. Dave couldn’t have been more helpful, he supplied us with travel cards to top up for cheap ferry & bus trips and his local knowledge was a great help.

The only problem for us was the lack of evening food nearby. “ The Ferry Pub” was nearest, a good 15 minute walk each way, the food was good & good value.

Absolutely fantastic stay my wife had booked tickets for Blood Brothers at the Liverpool Empire. The room was spotless and bed , although softer than our own it was very comfortable and of excellent quality. It was very warm, high quality leather seats and the breakfast cooked perfectly. The only negative issue was no lift to the bedroom but Dave did offer to carry our overnight luggage and nothing was to much trouble. WiFi access was available. A very enjoyable stay which we both would highly recommend we plan to stay again as there is a ferry crossing available at a small cost of £2-70 access and egress isn’t easy but it drops you in front of the Liver Building. 11 out of 10 for the hotel, staff and breakfast.

Dave and his mom were excellent hosts! They propped my kid's stuffed shark up on the pillow which when they made the beds which was amusing. Their breakfast was excellent. Easy transit access by ferry or bus/subway to downtown Liverpool which is full of museums, restaurants and shops. Dave even provided transit cards that we just had to load with a day pass from a local shop. Our room had a good view of Liverpool across the Mersey.
