Very nice hotel with modern rooms, clean place with helpful staff. I had breakfast every day and found the restaurant to service tasty breakfast buffet with options for all tastes

Two notes for consideration by any future visitor: the hotel is quite far from Abu Dhabi. It took approximately 35 minutes Taxi drive to get to most of the attractions. The only public transportation available is a Taxi

When I made the reservations on Travelocity I was under the impression that my reservation was all inclusive. When I got to the hotel I found that the meals are not included

I was only here for one night. Was expensive for what you get and every time I turned around there was another charge for something. I dont mimd paying for nice things. I jist think.on this trip i stayed at much nicer hotels for less and they had a lot more to offer. Just tell me up front what your gonna charge me when i get there is all i ask for. Im still gonna eat tomorrow but its aggravating. Parking was a breeze which was why i really selected this hotel. Thank.you for that

An older property that on the exterior and main lobby is clean and maintained. The staff was friendly and courteous. The on-site restaurant had a nice lunch buffet. From a distance, it appeared the pool area was well maintained. Air conditioning was very powerful.

The rooms were a different story. The room was adequately surface-cleaned; the bedding comfortable, and the balcony overlooking the pool well kept.

However, the furniture was worn and the shower stall grout was in need of a deep clean. Overall impression is that the room is overdue for a refresh.

Visited Mafraq hotel 20 years ago and again this Eid weekend, great family venue, facilities geared for kids, with a lovely pool area and very alert life guards. The meals on offer were varied and plentiful. Loved this mini break

The hotel was very well presented and clean with very polite staff, the room was nice too although not as described in the picture, not much to do in the area but there was a free transfer to and from Yas Island for the formula 1 Grand Prix which was very helpful and saved us over a 100 dirhams each return trip, would stay again.

We liked the place as it's close to the airport. Fantastic pool, esp for children. Also loved the fact that we had the opportunity to get in touch with a few locals who come swimming with their children after school.

We chose this hotel as it was close to the airport and as we were traveling to Dubai the following morning didn't need to go into the city the hotel was fine and we had no problems breakfast was ok and all in all a pleasant stay ideal for what we wanted would use again if needed to but wouldn't use it as a base for a holiday as surroundings not that great

Warm reception, we had an early check in and late check out ! The only hotel provides free mouth wash which is awesome! Ali who is the food and beverage manager did a magic / trick for the kids, very impressive ! Will definitely recommend to friends and relatives! Excellent experience!

I travel for a living. This was the worst hotel I've stayed at in a long time. The staff (night shift desk) were completely rude and unprofessional. The night manager was condescending and it takes a lot to rile me up. The room was smoking even though we requested non smoking. We paid extra for breakfast to be included and when we arrived at the buffet they said it wasn't on our reservation. I had to argue for 15 minutes to prove it was in fasct paid for. Overall terrible experience.

Nice Weekend Stay

A family of 3 we stayed for weekend in a Deluxe room. We booked a Garden view but turned up to view to the car park. The hotel location is not close to the city nor main attractions, but it was convenient for us since we had our own transportation, and free parking.
The rooms were comfortable & clean, providing coffee/ tea, & bottle water. The window slide to a small balcony view not clear to the hotel entrance. Free hi-speed wifi in rooms & lobby which is very convenient. It has beautiful garden and swimming pool with relaxing cafe area and kids playground at the back. There was renovation at the fitness room development to add private ladies section of gym & sauna section. The buffet breakfast was good with variety & the service was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. Recommended hotel to stay in.

Ideal location for Mafraq hospital which is why I booked it. Good amenities & facilities, lovely room but bit too noisy. We were put in connecting room & noise seemed to travel really easily. Other than that can't really fault the Mafraq.

The hotel is reasonably priced.However, although the staff has good intentions, they are not making you feel positive for some reason. You actually -unfortunately- do not feel comfortable as you are walking around the hotel. The waitresses at the restaurant by the pool does not speak English very well. I ordered a mushroom soup and they ended up bringing a vegetable soup. The hotel is in a remote area where you can actually not enjoy Abu Dhabi life. For this reason,this hotel will always be my last choice. The staff mighttry to do thei best but the hotel is not a first choice.

A lot of little things equal a big problem. They didn't have the room ready at check in. Little things like not dusting, stains on the walls, no cover for the tv remote, the tv stopped working, and missing towels all equal a really annoying stay. Don't waste your money on breakfast it's not good either.

At times irritating...

Nice hotel but some things were irritating over a long stay. 1) Constant note reminders left in the room reminding me \"no food or drink\" were allowed to be brought in off site (because I'd left small yogurts or drinks \"evidence\" in the room). 2) In ability for staff to provide one consolidated invoice. I stayed 18 days straight and had to pay 3x's, 3 different amounts, at 3 different times. 3) The only time working guests have to enjoy the facilities (the weekend) the hotel would offer the same facilities to the general public for use. Basically on the weekend expect what you'd get a public community recreation center.

Can't Blame the Hotel for the Other Guests

The hotel facilities and staff were very good but some of the other guests were the rudest, noisiest, most inconsiderate group of people I have ever experienced. The hotel seems to have an arrangement with local military and oil companies. There were lots of young men wearing such clothing and they held conversations and shouted down the corridor until 2 or 3 am both nights I stayed. When I asked two of them to be quiet because I was trying to sleep they were abusive. Really bad experience.

A hotel that is nearly a resort

We are a family from Saudi Arabia. We stayed one night in this hotel (me, my wife and my 22-year old son). This experience was the second for my wife and son. They loved the first experience and decided to come back. We enjoyed our stay and will come back to this hotel every time we are in the neighborhood. Hotel facilities are excellent and you do not miss anyting you need in a hotel. Its fitness center is superp.

Good: emailed with staff about very late arrival and airport pick up. Responses fast and everything as agreed (quality staff and service 3 and not 4 because of airport drop off didn't go as planned).

Good: room size (a lot larger than similarly priced hotels on Yas Island)

Not so good: shower kept on falling down (reason why comfort of room is 3 and not 4).

Annoying: booked the same car (as airport pick up; since not all Abu Dhabi drivers drive that well) for airport drop off. Agreed on earlier time to get driven to airport than we would have liked but agreed because we didn't want to take just any driver. When ready in the morning on agreed time no car showed up. Then instead a bus showed up to take us 15mins later. After discussion with reception: initially car agreed upon previous night not available anymore then after longer discussion, requested car was mysteriously available again.

I am a guy that when I give reviews I put the truth, you know when you do a review you take time out for it. So here we go... First I am going to say the bad. Its 15-19 minutes drive from the airport. Your looking at 40 dhs for metered Taxt. Please Ladies and Gents use the Metered one. The other kind are 70 dhs. Ok that's it, yep thats the bad. This is a great Hotel. Very clean,very everything. I got a Standard and it was a big room with King size bed. The Staff are helpful and nice. I would go here again.
