The staff were all amazing and very helpful - lovely to see so many genuine smiles. The hotel was spotless and modern. Breakfast was varied and well stocked regardless of the time you sat down. The restaurants were lovely with good quality food - although not stunning and a little expensive (coming from Britain). We had a standard double room with two extra beds and there was still room to move around. The pool was surprisingly small, but when we visited in February it wasn't crowded, the kids had a great time, and it was easy to find sunbeds.

Best place to stay on Yas Island! Close to Etihad Arena and Yas Mall. The area has easy access to the Yas Express buses which is a free shuttle bus service for tourist staying on Yas Island. The buses will take you to all the popular attractions such as Warner Brothers, Yas Mall, Sea World and the Louvre Museum. The staff is welcoming and helpful. The breakfast buffet is top notch too! Cuisine from around the world and plenty options for vegetarian and meat eaters! I highly recommend for families or solo travelers (like myself).

Voucher for using YAS BEACH was a great assistance
Nearby hotels have great restaurants and there are many around.

Staff is amazing from guest services to concierge to breakfast assistance and even the house keeping! Never said no for anything!

Went to Crowne Plaza for the weekend; enjoyed it throughout, staff is super helpful, especially Nadine and Elise at reception, amnd Stephen and her Indian colleague (forgot her name) at the spa area.
Things I would recommend to make the stay even more enjoyable: include breakfast as part of the stay, provide assistance for tourists to obtain their visas.

I had the worst experience in this hotel. Worse bed setup. The floor was dirty and the bathroom was broken. The bed stands were missing a light lamp and the light switches don’t work. The curtain on the bathroom window was broken and I couldn’t close it to have some privacy. I had the worst night sleep ever in this hotel. And I was a platinum elite member in IHG. Such a disappointment stay.

It was terrible experience for me. I stayed here for 7 nights and my room thermostat wasn’t working so it was always too cold, so I had to turn off the AC. Despite of complaints, it was not attended and never got solved. The staff was rude and hopeless. To make the situation worse, there was renovation going on in the hotel and half of the hotel area was inaccessible.
The staff didn’t have courtesy to accommodate any of your reasonable requests like asking for drinking water glasses in the room.

A lovely hotel. The room was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The only issue, was that the shower would leak water on the floor, which couldn’t be avoided, so we had to line the floor with towels whenever we showered.
The lobby and pool areas were wonderful. Excellent staff service. The buffet breakfast was delicious, great service and lots of variety in food.
Also loved the access to the free Yas Island shuttle bus. A great stay - thank you!

We checked in with Nadine, who was so nice and insured we got connected rooms as per our request for us and our kids. Unfortunately, though the entrance to the hotel is very messy and confusing from the streets so when you are reaching close to it to keep a close eye where to go
pool was OK although the smaller size, but the lifeguards were very aggressive and rude with the kids most of the time.
Breakfast is massive as usual Hotels you can find anything you would like to.

Check in ok, room sink was plugged shut and I waited 4-5 hours to fix that. Wall electrics didn't work. Kettle was broken. Buffet meal was a poor choice and without taste. We ate a starter then left. Excessive noise in the corridors then I had to argue with neighbours to stop shouting.

Rooms are business like and a bit out dated- toliet seat broken in bathroom. Pool is nice, however sun loungers require an update. Cyan beach is a 10 min walk away or a golf cart- no bar or restaurant at Cyan beach.

Staff very friendly, breakfast nice and stills restaurant offers good fare. Yas waterfront is a ten min walk away and lots ofgpod restaurants.

He was very dismissive when I asked about the facilities amenities, and refused to acknowledge my IHG status when I gave him my membership number for the points rewards. He did not even attempt to check in the computer I was told it will be applied later

My room was very tired and in need of renovation. The sliding patio doors were stiff and extremely difficult to open and close. The veneer was starting to come off the furniture. And every time I used the shower the bathroom floor ended up saturated. All fundamental things that should not happen at a top hotel.

General level of service in this hotel was disappointing from the welcome at reception to the service at breakfast. Bar service on our first night was terrible. This feels more like a three star hotel. A lot of avoidable customer service issues. Won’t be back. Try the Radisson next door!

My favourite Yas Hotel

I have stayed at this hotel of and on for approximately 10yrs as I always enjoy the comfortable bed and spacious room with the balcony and the pool area never seems over-crowded. Breakfast has often been its least attractive feature in the past, but I am pleased to say it is much improved now with more staff and hence more attention and better service given to customers. The range of food is still very good but it seems to be better prepared and the hot food remains hot (rather than sometimes cold/warm in the past). This is my favourite Yas Island hotel and I have stayed in them all. Very nice customer service at the front desk and the cleaning staff were always courteous and good at their jobs. Good food and drink options and you can always pop into adjacent hotel bars and restaurants for a change also.

If you book a suite, as we did, don’t make the mistake of thinking that the sofa will convert into a bed. It doesn’t, and so we had to organise a roller bed - not particularly suitable for our 15 year old son.
Also, be aware that the hotel is in the airport flight path.
Apart from that everything went well with our stay. The hotel is very convenient for all major attractions on Yas Island.

Sigle use plastic glasses are provided in rooms.

Only one thing bothered us: The rooms were provided with Single use plastic glasses for water.

When I requested for Glass glasses, I was charged for the same, which was surprising & disturbing.

Prior to arriving I contacted the property several times via email to get clarification on the size of the beds as we had 3 adults. The listing said sleeps 4. When I arrived I asked again and was told we had 2 queen beds. Well NOT QUEEN beds more like XL TWIN beds that we needed to push together. Made sleeping very uncomfortable. I would have upgraded my room if someone responded to my email.

This was a really good hotel and very close to all the theme parks in Yas Island and Yas Mall. The staff were really great, and couldn't be more helpful. It was very clean and the food was great in the restaurants. Breakfast had lots on offer, but it was pretty much the same day after day, but all pretty good quality.

I only found one issue, which was its quite far from the main city/hub. Going into town would cost on average 180 there and back. I guess if you are not looking to explore Abu dhabi, and you want to stay near the theme parks this is a perfect hotel. But for me it turned out to be quite expensive in taxis. This isn't anything to do with the hotel, it more my own fault. Next time I think i might just find a hotel nearer the city.

Additionally, I found out when I arrived at the hotel that my stays wouldn't be counted by my IHG membership, because I booked through Expedia and not directly through the hotel. I didn't know this and was a little disappointed. I am sure its in the fine print somewhere, but I didn't see it.

We had reserved a double room with 2 twin beds confirmed, but got a room with just one bed for 2 adults and 2 children! Upon request we did get a cot which was very uncomfortable. The phone was broken and the AC needed fixing as well. It appeared as though they had not received our reservations (that was confirmed months in advance) nor been prepared for our arrival, and that we got the last possible room (not in the best condition) available. During check-in we were also told that we weren't allowed to use the facilities (dining etc.) unless we had a PCR test, even with CDC cards confirming vaccination for all guests, including those under 16. PCR tests in addition to being vaccinated was not a requirement that was clear to us while making reservations. Only being vaccinated seemed to be a requirement, so if PCR tests are a required, please make that clear while guests book their rooms and not after the fact. These issues were especially inconvenient after having just arrived in transit, and needing a break during a long journey.

We stayed for 5 nights on HB basis.
This is a great hotel. High standard. The management does lots of things correctly.
Like what?
1. We checked in late on the first day when dinner was already over. So they sent us dinner to the room from a room service dinner menu instead.
2. Dinner at the restaurant is served daily until 23:00 hours. This is very convenient for tourists who go out and come back late. I have never been to a hotel who offers dinner so late.
3. Dinner includes drinks and juices which is nice.

We think the dinner spread at the Jing Asia (main) restaurant could be improved as we didn't always find something to our taste.

All the staff are service oriented. They understand English and serve you with a smile.

Restaurant (Jing Asia) manager Mr. Lalith was serving and professional.

Although somewhat repetitive the breakfast buffet spread is nice and good. We always found what to eat.
I liked to start with fresh cut fruit (Pineapple, melon, watermelon).

Western coffee (latte, Americano,...) is available and served on request.

Air-conditioning worked strongly. Wifi worked good. Water pressure in bathroom was strong.

Free underground covered parking is available for guests.

Across the street from the hotel is a bus stop for the free shuttle bus Yas Express Y1 which takes you around Yas Island including Yas Mall

This was our first time staying at the Crowne Plaza having stayed at the Viceroy / W hotel on previous trips. We arrived at 7am (not expecting to check in), but were immediately told it would cost us to check in early. We left our luggage and went for an explore around the island and to grab some food. Arriving back at 4pm to check in we were then sent to a double room when we had asked for a twin room as there were three of us. We were then told there were no rooms ready, so asked if they had a twin room with a balcony ready, which they did not. Anyway to cut a long story short the room was not ready until around 6pm. The reception staff didn't seem to be on the ball and we did have to go back a number of times. When we were finally in the room we were impressed and the view over the pool was lovely. The breakfast staff / pool staff seemed very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again and maybe it was just a busy time for the hotel, but I tried to contact the hotel before our stay to make sure everything was ok with the booking / book a car from the airport, but had heard nothing back. I would definitely pick up the phone to the hotel next time.

The room was not maintained. The curtains were damaged as well as the bathtub and bathroom sink was clogged. Service was also very slow. No one answers the phone for service. You need to keep trying to get through. Very disaapointing. There are better options in Yas.
