Most of the hotel was closed due to the time of year.

No bar open, no restaurants etc. This was not made clear when booking and we specifically looked for a place with options for dining.

The kids were excited to use the Jacuzzi after a long day on the ski slopes but they were charging €100 per hour for the four of us (again, no surcharge mentioned on the booking platform).

We had to ask for water to be replenished in the room which seemed strange for a five star hotel.

The room was a good size for a family of four.

Out of season, I would say this is more a three star hotel with hidden costs which need to be clearer.

Other than that, the view from some of the rooms can be good. But depending on the room.

It is a bit far from the center of the city.

This is a very strange hotel in that it puts itself out as being grand, and decorated the lobby in a grand fashion, but the rooms themselves are incredibly sterile and basic. It's like they had great aspirations when they built the hotel but ran out of money when the time came to decorate the rooms.

The staff are very friendly and accommodating. There are very limited options for dining in the area (basically one Italian restaurant).

We were some of the only people there, it was off season for this location so parking and the pool were no problem but you have to drive in order to get to any of the sites or attractions. Staff was friendly and room was big with plenty of space for a large family. A/C worked well.

30 euros for and u ugly parking, the hotel is super far away from Granada, should be call different, the rooms are super big, the buffet is so so but the service is the worst, they charge us twice for the buffet and the receptionist star makings excuses for not returning them to us at the end she did it. Not a four star hotel

Only stayed one night but this place had fabulous sized rooms and a great bathroom with jetted tub. We checked in Christmas Eve and their restaurant and pool area was not open but I guess that's to be expected. 10 minutes drive from Nevada shopping mall and 15 minutes from the city centre

Lovely hotel but not quite as good as it could be.

Hotel is very nice, looks very plush but just not quite as good as it could be unfortunately. Nice large rooms, we had a junior suite with 2 double beds, and the pool was lovely. However, the air conditioning was not powerful enough and took hours to cool the room. We couldn’t leave it on when we went out as they only give you one key and it’s one of those hotels where the key works all the electrics. Also the WiFi was certainly not good enough for such a grand hotel. Most times it was so low it was unusable and had to use my own mobile so couldn’t watch anything like Netflix. Neither things are major but definitely took the edge off the stay.

New Year’s Eve

Trip up to Sierra Nevada for New Year’s Eve, a pleasant stay, ate in the hotel Italian restaurant, which worked well. Hotel sent up a bottle of cava and grapes, to see the new year in, which was a nice touch. Made the best of the current restrictions due to Covid.

Swish hotel for a good price outside of ski season

A bit far from the action in Granada. Lovely hotel very spacious, saw only a handful of other guests. Huge rooms. Breakfast was ok. Not a massive variety. Despite reviews there was a kettle in the room. Only downside was there was no availability of an iron. You had to use the laundry service.

Good hotel located just outside Grenada

Good value in the off-season, the large Granada palace is well located for Granada, Sierra Nevada mountains and environs if you have a car. Large rooms, good wifi, breakfast geared to Chinese tourists. Spa good.

Spacious hotel but not really close to anything

Hotel was clean, one reception staff quite rude, others pleasant. We got a suite as part of a deal but later on our trip stayed in a standard room which we found far better in terms of the balcony was much better and the position of the room was better placed(nit at the end of the building looking over a main road). The breakfast was more than adequate as there was plenty of choice.

It is a great hotel, big rooms, friendly staff, and very good buffete for the breakfast. It is located few minutes from the historical sites including Al Hambra palace. We would recommend this hotel for friends, and would chose is as our hotel in our next visit. Samir and family members from Palestine.

Stayed at the Granada Palace on Fri and Sat 15 and 16 April 2016. The hotel is beautiful with one of the nicest rooms I have ever stayed in. The only downside is the area it is situated in. We knew it was outside Granada but there are very few bars and restaurants nearby and those that are are not good so it may be an idea to take the half board option in the hotel. Very handy for a day trip up to the Sierra Nevada Ski Resort

Rooms large, also had fridge table & chairs. Staff very helpful, are car broke down just in Granada so we had to get a taxi to hotel. Girls on reception extremely helpful booking taxis to garage & helping us, because our Spanish is limited. Breakfast was good plenty of choice.

Appear to have run out of money

The hotel is a beautiful building, very impressive with lots of marble and grand reception area. Lots of sofas in public areas and the bar. Rooms are extremely large, we were given a suite with lounge area with two sofas and chair plus tables and a large bathroom with walk in shower plus Jacuzzi bath. BUT - the room had no finishing touches - no rugs pictures etc. The TV had no English channels. The toiletries were minimal and the cheapest money could buy.

The bar was very good but mostly underutilised. Good selection of drinks eg. 12 different gins and very efficient bar staff.

The breakfast was adequate although croissants appear to be presented day after day until eaten - pretty stale!

The dinners were awful!! They do not appear to have a proper chef. Meals did not match the menu description. The worst was a pizza straight out of a packet. The staff could only apologise. Definitely not four star plus.

The hotel is good, but not so easy to find!

We stayed for 8 nights at a very quiet time. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very good. Our room was large with adequate heating for December but we were not too keen on the open plan shower, as it is colder than those with doors! The hotel is large, but the location makes the front invisible from the main road, and at the rear there is no identification so we had to ask for advice. There is large wording along a wall by the road, but it is easy to miss. We would however go there again, now that we can find it easily.

With one day in Granada, we wanted to visit the Alhambra. However, we didn't manage to see it as tickets were fully booked. So for anyone visiting, will recommend to book early. Hotel situated far from the city center hence we didn't manage to go out for one day. Will recommend to rent a car if you are staying in this hotel. Nonetheless, the view of hotel was excellent.

close to all must see sights

On first arrival very impressed. The rooms are very spacious, modern, clean and comfortable. The spa bath did not work, but other that that is was very nice. The food in the restaurant was very disappointing, poor quality and somethings tasted stale. There was not a great deal of choice and the hot food was cold. Disappointed that there was no complementary drinks in the room not even water was provided. To get a drink you would either have to wait for the cafeteria to open or go to reception area and buy a drink out of a \"price inflated\" dispensing machine. Would have been nice to have a kettle in the room. On a positive note the room was cleaned every day to a high standard with replacement of luxury toiletries.

My experience

We arrived at the hotel and were very impressed by what appeared to be a high standard hotel.
When we went to our suites again we were impressed by the quality of the rooms and the facilities but
as we started to use the facilities we found some problems - the bathroom was a wet room but when we used the shower due to the floor levels the bathroom and toilet next door were flooded with water!!
In the other room we booked for our friends when they used the Jacuzzi bath all dirty water came from the nozzles.
In the evening the lighting was hardly on and there seemed to be only a minimum staff.

Hotel was not near Alhambra as indicated; five miles is a long way in a congested city like Granada. Also no wifi in room as indicated, only wired in room available. Nice hotel, out of the way with a lack of maintenance on some areas (the very dramatic looking panoramic elevator doors barely open and close). The bathroom, though very nice looking lacked a shower door or curtain, so water went everywhere. Also lacked most toiletries typically provided in a 4 star hotel. I.e. shampoo, lotion, etc. only multi purpose shower gel and a bar of soap.

Good value but lacking in attention to details

Rooms are huge and it's a good value for the price. I spent two nights in Jan 2013 and it was freezing inside and out. I cranked the thermostat up to 30 just to get it maybe around 16 or 17 degrees. The tile floors and walls just radiate the cold throughout the entire hotel. The spa bathtub was great though, however the bathroom lighting was very bad, especially over the vanity. Not what I would expect in a spa hotel. And when I checked in there was still trash in both waste baskets which made me wonder how well the room was cleaned. There was also no coffee / tea makers in the rooms and the cafeteria was only open odd hours. The vending machine in the lobby took my €2.50 and didn't dispense anything. The front desk said they didn't own it and couldn't reimburse me. The staff was very friendly at least. Breakfast was included in my rate, if it wasn't I would have skipped it because its not worth the €8 or €10 they charge. And they are very strict on not removing any food from the breakfast area. Next time I return to Granada I think I'll spend the extra €'s and stay in town as there is not much close by.

Stayed here in off season. room was gigantic and more than enough for me and my travel partner. only downside is the distance to town which was about a 10euro taxi ride. could be costly if we didnt have a hire car. room was clean and breakfast was ok. Wired internet was fast too.

Luxury hotel that needs some maintenance.

Important. This Hotel is not in Granada, it is in Monachil in the Granada street. There is also a Monachil street in Granada, so it was a little tricky to find. Make sure you search for the right address. Very luxury hotel, but needs some maintenance. Pool was closed and it was 95+ degrees outside. I was told they have not opened it yet for the summer. Our sheets have a couple of small stains of blood (before we slept in) and next morning we found a bed bug that had dinner. We complained and they said they were going to take care of it. The rest was great. The breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were good. Plenty of parking in the street and had option for the underground parking. Staff very helpful and friendly, great Internet connection (wifi only in the loby, Internet in rooms with a cable), safe neighborhood and close enough to Granada, but you need a car to get there since it is not that close. Rooms are big and very nice.

Modern not altogether practical

Very helpful staff. Only complaints are with wireless - only available in lobby area. And the lights in the common areas in floor 1, which equates to 2nd floor in US, automatically turn off unless someone is walking around and that triggers them to turn on again. This is a pain if your trying to use a computer or read anything from a sofa or chair in this area. Sit there for a couple of minutes and you're in the dark.

We had two rooms. One was four to five times larger than a regular room. The bathroom was huge and large with a jacuzzi tub.
The service downstairs was not so good.
The breakfast was just so-so.
Finding property was hard as it seems to be in a residential area.

We stayed at this hotel for 1 week in August and enjoyed our visit although there is some room for improvement in the hotel facilities.
On the plus side the Junior suite that we stayed in was very spacious and sound proofed which was great. The hotel is modern and looks good and the swimming pool is attractive.
It is only 10 minutes by taxi to Granada and very convenient for all the main sights.
The room rates were very competitive for peak Summer
The negatives are as follows-
The hotel was short staffed in the main restaurant and bar at all times which meant a long wait to be served. Also in the main restaurant at breakfast everyone was made to squeeze into small tables at the side of the large room. No one was allowed to occupy the large tables in the centre which remained empty. This made for a cramped and unpleasant eating experience.
The Spa and Wellness area was not open for business during our stay and several areas at the front of the hotel appear to be closed and unused.
When the hotel is fully functional it will be very nice but at present it does not deliver the 4* experience that it boasts on it's website

We travelled to Granada as a couple. We stayed at this hotel as it was out of the centre and a little closer to the sierra nevada. It was a great choice. It was handy having a hire car to get in and out of town as Monachil didn't seem to hold much of interest. Unfortunately, the pool was closed as we were there in mid-may. But, the weather was nice enough to swim. The only down side was that I was under the impression that there was a spa facility and gym, but there isn't. They do seem to be building on the place though, so maybe that's what they're doing.
The food was great. For the price we paid, I was very, very happy to be there.

Meget lukket, uden de faciliteter beskrevet.

Alt var stort set lukket. Ingen poolbar, eller oprydning ved pool. Stedet var slidt og skidt vedligeholdt. Værelset var fint i størrelse og fine senge.
Kedeligt sted på denne tid da det hele virkede lukket ned.
Den ene dag var der 10-12 unge mænd ved poolen som røg joints og da de gik efter nogle timer tilhørte de ikke hotellets gæster.

Um den 60. Geburtstag meines Mannes zu genießen, buchte ich dieses \"modern\" wirkelnde Hotel und leider wurden wir eines besseren belehrt. Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen, karg, trist und man fühlt sich fast etwas verloren. Der im dunklen Keller befindende Spa Bereich ist ein Witz. Obwohl ich eine Juniorsuite gebucht hatte und auch telefonisch den für mich wichtigen Anlass mitteilte, bekamen wir das gefühlt kleinste und dunkelste Zimmer an der Strasse, ohne eine Sitzecke, mit einem Bett und zwei Stühlen. Das war leider alles andere als ein Geburtstagspräsent. Hat ja auch im Hotel keinen Mitarbeiter interessiert. Klar, wir sind ja als Tourist sowieso nach einem Tag weg. Unter einem 5* Service und einem 5* Hotel stelle ich mir etwas anderes vor.

Un 4 étoiles mais pas un palace

Belle hôtel. Le nom de palace et les 5* ne sont pas justifiées en comparaison aux paradoxes qui sont de vrais palaces. Mais très bien et très calme.

Espectativas no cumplidas

Fuimos a pasar un fin de semana de relax y descansar cuando cual fue la sorpresa de que montaron un festival de música en la piscina que entraba gente externa del hotel por lo cual no pudimos disfrutar de la piscina ni de sus instalaciones cómodamente debido a que la piscina estaba llena de dicha gente ruidosa y bebiendo en el lugar. Un responsable del Hotel llamado Gregorio nos atendió nefastamente y de malas maneras

Para ser un 4*, en algunas cosas deja mucho que desear. La habitación es muy amplia y la cama confortable. La nevera no enfría y algunos muebles están desconchados. El desayuno, espectacular, tanto el buffet como el personal, amable y atento. El SPA un desastre, la mayoría de cosas no funcionaban y el agua fría. A destacar el buen hacer de Marta, una de las chicas del SPA, que me dejó nueva con su masaje.

Peço desculpas mas esperava mais em questão de conforto e serviços. Acho inaceitável um hotel 4 estrelas não oferecer roupão e chinelos ao seus hóspedes, até porque, pelo valor cobrado pela estadia era o mínimo. Sobre a limpeza e organização do quarto, não tenho o que dizer, estava boa. O aquecimento também bom. Sobre o café da manhã, atendimento impecável, já a comida não posso dizer o mesmo...
