We overall enjoyed our stay at this location. It’s conveniently located to the Alhambra and not too far to walk to the city center. It is a great location. We did drive here and getting through the neighborhood was a little rough initially as the streets were tight, but we made it. We drove through the small alley in the middle of the night to drop off our luggage, but had to reverse all the way out, which was a little nerve wrecking, and decided to carry the luggage to the car upon check out to not do it again. The room was cute. It was just a little dirty under the furniture and the bathroom had a little odor, but was tolerable. Honestly the wifi from the room wasn’t great though. There were two options. The one k was able to connect to in the room was a bit slow and the other fast one, only was able to connect downstairs. I was able to check in and out with ease before and after the normal hours. They checked in with me via WhatsApp and through email as well. We overall had a pleasant stay.

Pros: it's a one bedroom with a kitchenette.

Cons: we didn't have hot water, were told they could call maintenance, which is the last thing you want to hear after a long day at 8pm and you're only staying for a night. We also never met anyone to check us in or out, everything was handled by some watsapp number. The street is on a quiet street but also on a deadend street and taxis don't want to go in, so you end up carrying your luggage through cobblestone streets.

Studio Gem Soaring Over Granada!

This place is a gem! We stayed in the top apartment and the views over Granada were amazing! You truly are on top of the world! The space is made to feel much bigger than it is with a loft overhead, keeping the living area and kitchenette open enough to feel nice while having a separate area to sleep. It's a trek up the stairs with your luggage, but the views pay for it instantly. Well equiped, nicely furnished, what can I say other than that this was a true gem!

The apartment was easy to check in with self check- in. It was clean and had the basics but felt a bit crowded for 3 people. Close to what we wanted to see (5minutes walk to flamenco show and we also walked 25minutes to the Alahambra). The host provided much information about restaurants and excursions in the area and provided info regarding parking and general transportation which was helpful. Not easily accessible if one has mobility issues due to the hills and bumping roads (but most parts of Granada are challenging I would imagine). This apartment was generally good value for the price if you are just looking for a place to sleep.

Access codes and parking options would be nice to have ahead via direct email or text rather than through Hotels.com site. We did find them on hotel.com but only after arriving. The apartment was nice, comfortable, but thin walls made it a bit noisy. Bare necessities in the bathroom. Laundry facilities were a plus and part of the reason we selected this property.

Don't be deceived by the positive reviews

Don't be deceived by the positive reviews. Our experience at the property was far from pleasant. Upon arrival, there was no receptionist available, and we had to search for codes in the email just to enter the property. The moment we stepped into the room, an unpleasant smell of smoke or mold hit us, triggering my sensitivity and causing constant coughing. Furthermore, everything in the room appeared old and worn-out, and to add to the discomfort, there was no curtain on the window, leaving us with no privacy.

Attempts to contact the owner for resolution proved fruitless as we received no response. In desperation, I reached out to hotels.com to explore the possibility of changing the room or canceling the reservation. Sadly, we were informed that the booking was non-refundable. Left with no choice, we had to book another hotel, resulting in the loss of our two-night accommodation costs. It was a disappointing and regrettable experience overall.

The property was conveniently located near the Alhambra and some restaurants in the area. The staff were lovely. the challenge if you have car is that you have to park a few blocks away and access in the car to the property is difficult as you have to drive up a very narrow one way street, unload your luggage, then back out of the street to go park the car. The facility was spotless and very pretty.

Room was small but had EVERYTHING -- kitchen sink, fridge and clothes washer, along with the standard bed and private bathroom. Much thought obviously went into design and décor -- it was delightful. You can base here quite comfortably while seeing Granada.

Owners were very helpful with pre-stay emails, welcomes, and orientation to the area.

Great location -- walking distance to not only the Alhambra, but a block from a great town plaza with a park and many restaurants. Parking is extra, an couple of blocks away.

Be aware it's located on a 1-lane no-outlet street, with no way to turn around. You'll drive up to the door, then reverse about 100 yards to get back to the main street -- at least, that's what we did. Not a problem, just something to be aware of.

Utilitarian but cute and in a great location

Golondrinas is a cute and serviceable apartment-hotel hybrid. They offer contained bed-couch-kitchenette rooms, with a thoughtful set of cooking utensils and materials - even salt, petter, oil, and sugar. The beds are not the most comfortable (our room had a metal frame murphy bed) but they work, and for the price Golondrinas is a good deal. It's also on a really cute little street just north of a lovely square with delightful restaurants, and while it's quick walk to most of the tourist destinations, it feels like you are experiencing life like a local. The one issue we had was while checking in - check in is supposed to start at 5pm, but no one was there. There was a sign that said to call a number, but because we were visiting internationally, we had no cell service and had to take a bit of a walk to find wifi and then call the number. Once we got in touch the host was not too accommodating and refused to show up for about an hour, though they did give us the key code to get in. Once we finally met someone in person they were nice and helpful.

Overall, we'd recommend Golondrinas for a thrifty traveler.

Stay away if you are driving

Its a very difficult hotel to find, going down very narrow one way streets.
Check in boy was very unhelpful. He did not speak even one word of English & couldn't direct us to a parking location. There are NO parking facilities in the immediate area & the traffic is hectic down very narrow roads.
We didn't even get to check in as we were too stressed out driving around trying to find a safe parking spot. We had to find alternative accommodation for the night.
It was a disaster for us.

Not comfortable at Golondrinas at Alhambra

stay on the top floor. The roof is inclined not flat. Hot is not working from 20:00 to 08:00. After 08:00 it works.
No elevator, need to carrier baggage and walk up 4 stories.
Hotel inside a small alley. Hotel people tell to drive on stair case in order to give way to car behind. AFter one wheel down one step I refused to carrier on. Luckily, I can manage to get my car back on the road from stair case.

Great Location But Not The Room That We Booked

The listing on hotels.com is misleading or falsely advertised. We booked the studio with a city view (top floor) but ended up with the bottom floor studio just like another reviewer in May experienced. The hotel manager said it was an issue with hotels.com and that they would fix it. But seeing as the similar review is from May, I'm skeptical.

Other than that, the apartment is conveniently located and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We recommend that the staff update the towels as they are quite old and also look into making sure the shower drains are unclogged.

Very isolated location. Pebbled street not very good for suitcases with rollers. Golondrinas de la Alhambra is located in a cup de sac somehow difficult for taxis to get to. There is no good reception and we had to pay cash because the handheld terminal would not accept any card. We received emails apparently not related to this place concerning our booking, which made us think of phishing. The towels smelt very bad. There was lot of humidity in the room, which by the way had no view as shown on the website. We fell ill. Next time we'll stay in a real hotel.

After two weeks in Morocco we knew we would need a little rest and In house food to settle the inevitable Moroccan tummy. We booked the top floor suite with cooking facilities, balcony and city views. This is clear in our booking confirmation. On arrival we were given a small ground floor room with a barred window onto the alley or opening the blind onto the entrance lobby and being like monkeys in a zoo. We explained and showed the forms to the manager but short of moving us to slightly larger room with alley view no joy. When we suggested we could go elsewhere she pointed out that this was a non refundable booking even if we didn't get the accommodation promised. All I can say is be warned. I have not rated the room or experience on anything else than this as it completely ruined our three days in Granada and as we had to eat out made it a lot more expensive and not so restful. They blamed hotels.com and I will be pursuing this on our return as I don't want any more holiday spoilt.

Good value near Alhambra

Bea was a very accommodating host and helped make the stay pleasurable. We arrived much later than expected, but check in was easy. We had a rental vehicle and that is very problematic in Granada - fortunately, Bea hooked us up with a private garage that we used the our two days there. The room was fine and had a mini-kitchen that was very functional. You can walk to Alhambra and historic sites and shopping and food is nearby.

Quiet stay in Granada

These apartments are in a great location on a quiet side street near the Alhambra and a number of excellent restaurants and cafes. There are also a couple of grocery stores nearby, which makes the kitchen in these apartments quite handy.

The staff are kind and helpful. Overall, the apartments are clean, if a bit spare. Though there are so many wonderful things to see and experience in Granada no need to spend much time in the hotel room.

Word to the wise: If you are planning to visit Granada be sure to get your Alhambra tickets at least a few months in advance!!

nice apartment close to Alhambra

Many thanks to landlady Eva! She was so kind as to let us check out several hours later than noon since our flight was in late evening and on the day morning we had a walk but got lost in the other side of the city! The apartment has code entrance which is quite convenient. Eva sent welcoming text messages before check-in day and on the day sent us the code early enough to let us get ourselves in. All in all we were glad to have chosen this apartment and thanks again to dear Eva.

The room was large and Ikea fabulous! The bed was situated above an ancient Moorish well, which the hotel was proud to show off. It was neat sleeping above history. The kitchen had everything we needed for a short stay. The location was very close to Alhambra, although it is a seriously steep hike up the hill, but totally walk able if you are in shape. It was very close to the river, old town, town center, and several cool little plazas. The only issue we had was the front desk is not accessible 24 hours. We arrived at 1pm and could not reach anyone to access the room for a few hours. They had actually tried to call my phone the day before to set up a check in time but my phone was not working in Spain, so make sure you give good contact numbers! While this caused a delay getting into the room, the management apologized profusely and was very kind from there out. The people of Granada are amazing and some of the nicest people we met in Spain. Our biggest disappointment was trying to contact hotels.com when we were not able to reach the front desk. We called the 800# 3 times on our other phone, were put on hold for 30 minutes +, and no one ever answered. When we called back, the rep refused to help us and insisted on transferring us back to the dept that was not answering. They did not care that holding was costing us a fortune in international long distance. Finally we got a hold of the front desk and gave up on hotels.com for any help. Hotels.com = useless out of the US!

Lovely place, Value for money

We loved our experience here, but this was a value place (you get what you pay for). It was centrally located between the Alhambra and restaurants. The women who works there was so friendly and welcoming. This being said, the shower head stand was broken so we had to hang it on the window and the bed was rather small (it was a fold down bed). But the place was clean and the wifi was fabulous. It was nice having the amenities of an apartment (e.g. A washer in the room). It was perfect for backpackers looking for a more homey feel than a hostel.

We really enjoyed our stay! I don't know about the other rooms, but our studio was on the top floor and had beautiful views of Granada. It really depends what you like ... my daughter and I loved it! It's not in top condition, but we were ok with that. The location was great and the proprietor was friendly and helpful.

This apartment is literally located just below the Alhambra. We just walked up to get to the fortress. Within short walking distance below the apartments is a plaza where there are several bars/restaurants where you can sample Granada's famous free tapas - as long as you order a drink of course. Only spent one night but would definitely stay again. Entrance to the complex and room are by 4 digit codes, each are different from the front door and your apartment. This is given by e-mail before your arrival.

Location is good close to Alhambra Palace and the old town.
The town is hilly so be prepared to walk up and down from the apartment- if you are in decent shape the walks are actually quite enjoyable.
The facilities are adequate though not the best. Staff are helpful.
Since there is no air conditioning , I would think that take the upper floors in winter (lower floor apartments can be damp) and lower floors in summer (upper floor apartments can be hot and stuffy)
There is an small kitchen if some cooking needs to be done
There is a parking garage withing 5-10 min of walking distance if you want to bring a vehicle in ( initially we were a little apprehensive due to narrow streets in Grenada, but once you get to know the layout of the city, the entrance ramp of expressway is actually only 5 min driving distance)

We had the top floor apartment, which has beautiful views over Granada. The staff were very friendly and helpful - thank you! For the price we paid (which I gather is a large discount from the normal price) this was brilliant - if we'd paid more I would have expected air conditioning though.

The Alhambra's doorstep

Small but perfectly formed! The owner could not have been more helpful sending detailed directions and local information. The location is excellent and the property oozes character, style and charm. One thing travelers need to know is the streets are so narrow you can barely get a car up them and may have to reverse a long way back. That's typical of the old neighborhood its n and part of the charm.

On the up side....it was a 10 minute walk to the Alhambra and the manager was friendly and helpful, but on the down side, the floors and my balcony were filthy, and my tower room (#10) was extremely hot. I think the lower rooms were much better that way. If you stay, make sure you ask for a lower floor.

nice hotel in a nice neighborhood

This is an old house in Realejo neighborhood of Granada converted into the small apartments. The one we (a couple with a 10 y.o. son) stayed in was on the first floor with one room facing the street and another facing the inner yard. It was clean and comfortable, and also has a kitchen with a stove. I definitely recommend this place.
The entrance to the Alhambra is within a walking distance - another plus.

Reconozco la atención por whatsapp, todas las indicaciones para llegar fueron muy claras y respondían con rapidez.

La ubicación del lugar es buena y nos quedamos solo una noche pero la experiencia no fue la mejor.

Había muy mal olor en el apartamento proveniente de las cañerías del baño. Apenas hicimos uso del lavamanos el olor empeoró considerablemente. Hacía frío pero tuvimos que abrir las ventanas porque el olor era insoportable.

Éramos 3 personas en un apartamento de una habitación, por lo que alguien durmió en el sofacama del salón. Era demasiado incómodo, se sentía toda la estructura metálica del mueble.

Por último, el termo de la ducha no funcionaba muy bien. Hicimos baños cortos de 2-3 minutos cada uno, pero aún así el agua en la ducha apenas salía tibia. En cambio en el lavamanos sí salía caliente.

Una cosa a tener en cuenta es que toca subir varias escaleras para llegar al sitio, aunque esto no fue un problema para nosotros.

Purtroppo, anche se il bi-locale sarebbe accettabile, non si possono accogliere i clienti in un sotto tetto dove nella camera da letto quando piove filtra acqua, ed in più l'infiltrazione era conosciuta in quanto era posizionato un secchio in corrispondenza del gocciolamento. l'appartamento è il numero 9, inoltre il numero non è indicato sulla porta di ingresso, ci siamo arrivati per esclusione.

Nous sommes très satisfaits du séjour ours que nous avons passé. Facile d'accès avec le GPS et les conseils donnés par le propriétaire. A dix minutes de l'Alhambra à pied ! Le quartier est très calme et très agréable et nous avons pu garer notre voiture dans un parking privé surveillé dans une rue en contrebas.

Dans le cadre d'un road trip en famille (2 adultes, 3 enfants et une chienne), nous nous sommes arrêtés 2 nuits à Granada. Et cette hotel nous a agréablement surpris. Dans un premier temps, nous étions un peu effrayés du fait de la surface dans l'appartement. Mais au final, l'agencement est fonctionnel et nous a permis de passer un très bon séjour. En même temps, à Granada, il n'y a pas de raison de rester dans l'appartement, tout se passe à l'extérieur. Aussi, Rénato à l'accueil a été super aimable en nous montrant les places de stationnement gratuit et pour nous donner les infos pratiques dans Grenade. Enfin, nous n'avons pas touché à la voiture tout au long du séjour. Tout est à distance de marche. L'Alhambra, le centre, le quartier El Bayzin. Je retournerai probablement dans cet hôtel.

Habría que corregir la información en la web del parking crea confusión.
La bomba de calor de la sala no funcionaba,el aplique chiporroteaba hasta que se apagó y el termo goteaba encima del váter.

Accueil chaleureux et bon rapport qualité-prix

L’accueil est excellent : des mails très riches en informations précèdent l’arrivée et l’enregistrement est rapide et chaleureux; la jeune fille qui m’a accueilli était très à l’écoute pour me conseiller où garer ma voiture, le quartier dans lequel se trouve l’hôtel n’étant pas du tout propice à circuler en voiture et c’est tant mieux.
La chambre No 1 accessible dès l’entrée est parfaite pour une ou deux personnes et la cuisine équipée était spécialement bienvenue en cette période où le couvre-feu conduit les restaurants à fermer à 18:00.
Cependant, une réserves : je n’ai pas vu les autres appartements, mais l’espace du No 1 aurait sûrement pu être optimisé (peut-être en faisant appel à un architecte d’intérieur ?) et la/le climatisation/chauffage réversible est mal placé(e). La mezzanine est surchauffée, alors que la chaleur parvient mal au niveau du sol qui reste un peu froid, de plus parce qu’il est minéral.

El apartamento muy bonito. Lo necesario para pasar unos dias en Granada a gusto con tu pareja. Te puedes cocinar y tiene todo lo necesario para disfrutar de una estancia irrepetible en la ciudad.

체크인 시간이 5시 부터 되는것이 너무 불편했다
골목 안에 숙소가 있어 조용하였지만 한편으로는 무섭기도 했다. 화장실 이용후 비데 변기가 없어서 불편했다.

Appart hôtel très bien tenu.
Très bons conseils pour visiter et manger à Grenade.
Bien situé pour visiter Grenade (au pied de l'Alhambra).
Appartement (assez) petit mais très bien agencé et situé dans un quartier typique et calme.
