This hotel was great value for money at this time of year (February). The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated very conveniently for visiting the main Granada attractions with the Cathedral and Alhambra within easy walking distance (though note that the walk to the Alhambra is mostly uphill). We really enjoyed the rooftop bar/restaurant at the end of the day. One side faces the Alhambra, the other side faces the Cathedral and sunset. The ground floor bar was also a nice quiet spot to grab a drink in the evening.

Two items they could improve on are the breakfast buffet and the fitness center.

The warm/hot items of the breakfast buffet were too cold and not well cooked. We thought it was significantly overpriced for the quality of the offerings at 15€ per person.

Not the best breakfast (after the first morning we went out for breakfast as so many cafes nearby) but may have been because the hotel was very quiet as out of season. Would recommend.

Very friendly staff. Hotel is great central location close to all the popular sites. My second stay at the hotel and a lovely experience. The only slight constructive criticism is the water in the bathroom sink tap was not very warm. The shower was hot which was great. Room was cleaned really well daily. Great location and amazing staff. My husband had a medical issue and they arranged a doctor to come to the hotel. He was there in less than an hour. They were so incredibly kind and helpful. The rooftop area is fabulous and there are lots of other little spaces to hang out. Highly recommend!

Great location for Alhambra, bars, shops etc. Breakfast was good, had to ask a couple of times for items to be refreshed. Room was lovely and quiet, the only thing we didn't like was that the shower was in the middle of the room, so no privacy!

Only dowside is that the top floor is currently being used as a restarant until 12:00, so there ism too much noise to sleep if you want to start early the following morning. Location is good though, close to the alhambra and all the night life.

1. Two adjacent rooms - great for a family with children. Privacy for parents and 2 separate bathrooms
2. Very close to the center of Granada and to restaurants. And walking distance to Alhamra and other major attractions
3. Very friendly and helpful staff
4. Very clean rooms and the cleaning staff did a great job
5. Tea and Piononos (local speciality dessert) were offered - free of charge - in the reception area lounge
6. Two safes: one in each room
7. Wood floors (much better than carpets)

Did not like:
1. The toilet door of the main bath (made of privacy glass), cannot be locked and stayed open all the time.
2. There was a water leak under the wash tub in the main room (and all the towels became wet). The leak was fixed right away after we reported it. And we got new towels.
3. The toilet flush (in second bathroom) got stuck several times. We did not report it.
4. The folding sofa bed was not comfortable for adults. And two separate single beds would have been better - especially for older children who cannot sleep next to each other.
5. The drapes in the main room smelled of dust
6. We were not told that we must dial 500 to reach the reception. So, we had to walk down to report the water leak.

I really enjoyed the location of and facilities in this hotel. It was walking distance from all areas of interest. The bed was very comfortable, and the Bidet was a lovely surprise.

I had breakfast in the hotel one morning, and it was lovely. In addition it isa short walk from Los Diamontes (a restaurant), and it was great to eat there on days where I wanted to get going quickly. I sometimes would start my day there with bottled water and complimentary tapas as a result. It is also very close to Los Manueles (restaurant) which had very good food.

The rooftop was a lovely private place to go very early in the morning to see the Alhambra by moonlight.

I would recommend highly recommend this hotel to anyone who plays to stay in Granada!

We recently stayed at Puerta de las Granadas after much research and it did not disappoint!

The location is absolutely ideal. Situated only about a short walk from one of the gates to the Alhambra, it’s also just steps away from Plaza Nueva—what we felt was the heart of everything. The area is filled with plenty of bars, restaurants, shops and the hop-on-hop-off bus. It’s also not far from the Albaicín and Sacromonte neighbourhoods, so you're perfectly positioned to explore the best of the city.

The hotel is incredibly clean, and while the rooms aren't massive, they are very comfortable with a great shower. Our room featured a Juliet balcony and lovely views of Cuesta de Gomérez, the pedestrian route to the Alhambra. The room had great soundproofing, so street noise was never a problem, the perfect place to relax after a busy day of sightseeing.

The hotel has an on-site restaurant which we tried on our last night. While the menu isn’t extensive, the food was good and the service and staff very pleasant. We also enjoyed the rooftop bar on a couple of occasions—this is an absolute must. The views of the Alhambra and surrounding area are spectacular.

We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return!

This was an excellent location (I didn’t realize how good it was until we got there). To get to Alhambra, you walk a minute until you reach Puerta de las Granadas, and then you walk through a beautiful park to get to the top. There are many shops and monuments around the hotel as well.
Room was a nice size, modern, and clean!
Could not recommend enough.

The staff that checked me was very understanding and professional. My room and the bathroom were very small. I was offered a larger room just for one day. I did not accept the offer because it did not solve the problem. In essence everything about the room cried for help. The bathroom was so small that you don’t even have space to turn around after you have entered. It took more than thirty minutes to get the cold water to be heated up. I came to see the Alhambra tour for two days. The Alhambra tour caused shortage of hotel accommodations. Everything was sold out making a mediocrity hotel renting at a high rate. If the complaint was just about the room, I would not have focused on it as much. I also included breakfast with the accommodations. Everything about the breakfast was awful except for the poached eggs. I have not seen pineapple being cubed with the skin on. It looked dirty and on washed.
By the way, I observed that there is no wheelchair access but to get through one has to go through the Resturant. I felt for this man on wheelchair and wife struggling to help him get through. The hotel receptionist watched but did not help them. I noticed that when the restaurant is closed and you are wheelchair bound, you are stocked. Before entering the hotel you had to go down the stairs. However, the next day they mounted wheelchair rail. My friend had their own issues. The area is very busy and lively. The city itself has great history and I enjoyed the purpose of my visit.

Such a nice hotel, 10 mins by foot away from the alhambra entrance but still a quiet area. The room we had (mauror superior romantic?) was very clean, modern, nice lotions and soaps, a modern Japanese style toilet with a view into the back terrace, was very quiet too. The rooftop has amazing views and decent food too. Great value!

This small boutique hotel was the perfect location for our three night stay in Granada. Located on a very quiet side street 100 m from the Plaza Nueva with a taxi stand at the bottom of the street, a city tour bus stop at the junction, dozens of nearby restaurants and shops several blocks away, and a direct route ( upwards!) to the Alhambra. In short, everything within an easy walk from the hotel.
The hotel itself is not fancy but functional and new. There are lots of areas for outside sitting but with the cool weather, we looked but did not sit. We liked the small bar / restaurant associated with the hotel. I had my morning coffee there and it was handy for a glass of wine after the nearby Flamenco show( Casa Ana was excellent!).
We did not try the breakfast buffet . We found the staff helpful and had no trouble getting by with our limited Spanish.
We didn’t have a car so no comments there except that it’s definitely not needed or desirable in the city centre. The area felt safe both day and night too.
We would recommend this hotel for anyone looking to stay in the City Central.

This hotel is almost impossible to get to by car. The centre of Granada is all one way streets, and lanes only for Taxi and Buses. The hotel has no parking (nothing remotely close by) and to get to the hotel to drop off your bags is a nightmare - you have to go through hydrilic barriers and many signs that warn you not to enter, and for official vehicles only. I would not stay at this hotel if you are driving to Granada

This hotel is perfectly situated to arrive at the Alhambra walking uphill for approximately 15 minutes. There is a taxi and bus area on the main street where you can take bus 31 to the San Nicolas lookout and tour the moorish quarter. It is also not far to the main cathedral and Royal Chapel. Breakfast was fine except for the coffee. Do not ask for a packed lunch as it is not worth it. We had a comfortable room with a sizeable bathroom. All in all we enjoyed our stay!

My experience at the Puerta de Granada hotel, Spain was satisfactory. The hotel is clean, the rooms are comfortable, it has all the amenities and is very well located. What a great hotel! The staff is so friendly and helpful. It’s in a great location for exploring the Alhambra area and center of the city. Cafes and restaurants are everywhere, but the hotel also has its own lovely dining options. I highly recommend getting the breakfast plan and trying out the rooftop restaurant. Our room on the first floor was clean, comfortable, spacious, and quiet. We didn’t want to leave!

I recently stayed at these lovely hotel , and overall, my experience was quite positive. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-located. The one issue I encountered was that my room was a bit dark. When I opened the window, I found that it faced a large wall, which blocked a lot of natural light.

However, the highlight of my stay was the excellent service provided by Andrea, the receptionist. She was fantastic! Always welcoming, helpful, and smiling, even when I needed assistance multiple times. Andrea went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed, and her friendliness truly made my stay even more enjoyable. Thank you, Andrea!

We booked the Double or Twin Room, Patio, Ground Floor (Chic Room). Dad and daughter trip.

❌ Cleanliness: shower had someone else's sample hair products in the shower. two sachets. and there was hair in the shower as well. the patio we had was not clean, leftover trash on the table.
❌ Negligence: we discussed the broken bidet and they didn't rush to fix it. both nights it didn't work. they should've asked about our stay and offer something to assist this inconvenience.
❌ space: small room, despite the patio. very small but so is every room in that hotel.
❌ staff: didn't seem to care at all about any concerns. one was smoking outside and eventually noticed us, smelled like cigs.

What a great hotel. My suite was spacious, had a comfy bed, and the very modern shower provided plenty of hot water. The buffet breakfast was good too, in that while there were a few offerings of eggs, sausages, breads, and fruits, they were fresh and tasty. This hotel is also a short walk from the entrance of the Alhambra and to many restaurants and eateries. I will stay here again.

The hotel staff are entirely professional & most are at least bilingual in english & spanish - my strong recommendation for english speakers is to acquire a bit of spanish before arriving, it'll go a long way towards everyone's comfort level. This hotel is in an area near several popular plazas & the Alhambra complex, but amazingly it's VERY quiet after 10 PM. Their 4th floor terrace restaurant is excellent & you can take out items from there to your room.
This hotel is a definite 4.5 star find, the only thing keeping it from a 5th star is lack of a pool, which wouldn't be feasible d/t neighborhood space tight, obviously from prior eras in the wonderful city of Granada !

The neighborhood and hotel were great. We had an excellent dinner at the rooftop restaurant. The staff was nice, but we got confusing information about the associated parking.
