We were there when it was rather cold outside. The temperature in the room was perfect. The location of this boutique hotel was absolutely perfect since we were attending an opera. What we found most extraordinary was the absolute quiet of our room. I don’t think we’ve ever stayed in a quieter place and we slept amazingly well.

A quaint, comfortable place to stay right in the cultural centre of Vienna. The room was clean and tidy, with great bathroom facilities and warm.The staff were very friendly and helpful.
My only ''complaint' was the noise from other residents which was loud and woke us up a few times. The floorboards above our room creaked and we could hear everything going on in the room next door.

The only reason I'm giving ok review is because the room had a strong smell of cigarettes and sweat which. Also.the people statujg above us kept making noise after 11pm they were running around . Other than everything is great.

Once one "north american" person gets over the first impression of an "european apartment" the place is very convenient and has many advantages. The location is right downtown, has a kitchenet where you can basically cook your own food if that's what you want. The place is clean, and the staff is vacuum and cleaning every day. Sometimes there is some noise from the internal court but nothing major.

While very unassuming from the outside, this hotel is a little gem right in the centre of all the activities. Very close to the opera, the metro and shopping and restaurants. Staff are very friendly and they keep the rooms very clean. There are some stairs to navigate and the elevator is a bit slow and small, but loved the hotel.

One of the nicest boutique hotels we have ever stayed at. Beautiful old Austrian decor. You could not ever find closer location to everything. Hop on hop off bus right out the door, abundant food mètres away and shopping steps away.

Pension Suzanne is an older hotel conveniently located near the Opera House, making it an ideal choice for first-time visitors to Vienna like us. The decor offers a charming glimpse of Vienna’s past, which I really appreciated. The air conditioning was a welcome relief during the particularly warm days of our stay. Our room was cleaned daily, and while guest services aren’t available around the clock, I truly valued the warm, personal greetings we received each time we passed the reception. Considering the price, I found it excellent value and would gladly stay here again on a future visit to Vienna.

This was a cute little property right by the Opera. It is somewhat of an odd setup and a little outdated, but it was cozy and served all of our needs. It was a great location. Would stay here again.

Quiet traditional and cosy pension, fabulously placed 2 minutes from the opera house. Helpful staff. Room very comfortable, clean and warm. Good shower/wifi and there’s a lift for upper floors. Its not a modern hotel with loads of extra facilities but I don’t want /need that. They look after cases after check out and provide tea/coffee in the room.

At first, I thought the hotel was a little sketchy. It has a very small elevator, which you have to take up one floor to reach the reception desk. The "Reception" is just a small office that seems pretty outdated. But the place really grew on me after a couple days. The room was very nice, the beds very comfortable, and it was very quiet despite being in a busy part of the city. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Best of all, the location is outstanding, a block from a tram and subway stop and easy walking distance to the museums, St. Stephens Cathedral, and other sights in the old town.

I had a double room with kitchenette and balcony. It was spacious, quiet, clean and right by the opera house. I was visiting for music so perfectly placed in the centre of town. It’s an old fashioned pension which I love - not for those who want a modern hotel room which could be anywhere. There was maid service daily - the staff were charming, coffee and tea stocked up daily and the small kitchen was well equipped. Shower was hot and worked well. Central heating was toasty (I was visiting in winter). A small lift also so no need to haul luggage up stairs. This is not a hotel with lots of facilities but I didn’t need that type of accommodation.

The bathrooms have high-walled tubs, not showers. It was treacherous getting in and out as they did not provide bath mats. There was also a small ledge from the doorway area to the sink that was unmarked and difficult to see which tripped me up a couple of times.

The radiator could not be adjusted and was way too hot, leaving me to open a window in December.

The mattress was as hard as a futon and the pillow was flat.

The staff were friendly, the place was clean, and the location central.

This is an older hotel and building, and the entryway and corridors to the rooms have a municipal feel to them (until you walk through the interior doors to the small hallways leading to the actual rooms). However, the room was large and clean, well-furnished, and the beds very comfortable. The staff could not have been more friendly. The location simply cannot be beaten. Directly within Vienna's Old City, exactly where tourists like we were would want to be. Nice, locking room for luggage storage if needed also. I would absolutely stay at Pension Suzanne again (and hope to: loved Vienna).

The location of the hotel is perfect if you are looking for quick and easy access to all the sights in the historic part of city. The room was spacious and had a separate kitchen which was helpful. Overall the hotel was very nice and comfortable. I would recommend it and would stay there again should I come back.

This is a small, residential-feeling place in the absolute heart of historic Vienna. Service with a smile and working AC! The building is "historic" so outlets are limited, and the rooms are NOT large, but the place is elevated by small thoughtful touches and a very helpful front desk that made it feel almost like a homestay. Great value overall!

We had a wonderful stay at the Pension Suzanne! The staff was very helpful and friendly, and the rooms were cleaned to perfection everyday. The location was right in the middle of Inner Stadt and a few minutes away from major sites like the Opera, Stephansplatz, and Hopsburg Palace. Our room was a tad on the small side and could use a little updating but that's to be expected in a major city like Vienna. We had a wonderful stay and can't wait to be back again!

This location was perfect!! It’s not a fancy hotel but very clean and located between a boba shop and a Korean snack shop. There’s also a very good Japanese restaurant two doors down. Our day trips’ meeting place was at the Opera House, conviently located within a 3 minute walk. A very good value especially when traveling with 2 adult kids and one teenager. We booked 2 separate rooms. I would stay here again.

Location was excellent. The apartment was clean and served it’s purpose. It didn’t feel like a hotel at all as we were in a different building to the hotel/pension. We were given a key to enter through a dingy dark entrance to get to our apartment. On the plus side there is an amazing cake shop next door and lots of restaurants within walking distance, so 10/10 for location.

The property is located in the middle of Vienna about 2 or 3 minutes walk to Karlplatz ring road and the trams. And about 2 minutes walk to Kartner street which is the shopping mall which runs through to St Stephens Cathedral. Needless to say it’s beautiful. The property is quiet after midnight ( this is when it is needed) until 10am in the morning. Phew. After which the buzz of diners and cars down the street is heard. The city is alive. Everything is walkable from Suzanne, museums, operas, art galleries. It’s worth taking tge subway to Copa Beach, for a quiet morning ice latte and sitting near the river. The red line on the subway. Buying a 3 day pass is relatively cheap way to travel. We did the two day pass and it worked a charm. Don’t forget to validate it as soon as you want to travel, because it starts to countdown after you validate it. And it works on trams & the subway. We had a very enjoyable 3 nights at Suzanne. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. No fridge for you water or breakfast food. Our room had a portable air conditioner. Nice. Need it on hot days.

Location is great! Very clean, spacious and the staff at the desk were all friendly, helpful answering our questions and addressing things we need (in relation to our stay). The stay is very comfortable for me but for the young ones- like my 17 and 21 y/o kids…maybe a little update to cater to them. Overall, I will go back to stay again at Pension Suzanne in the future.

The location and the extremely helpful staff make this property. It's close to the opera house and the City Bike rental stand there, and walking distance to everything in the Inner City. Our bedroom was comfortable and quaint. Everything was clean. Some reviews mentioned the small shower; I'm a larger guy and ours was more than adequate. The only downside was there was no air conditioning (that I could find) in the room even though it was listed. I can imagine it getting warm in the latter summer. For the price, we couldn't beat the location and staff.

The location of this property is amazing! Very reasonable rates. Property is older, but well maintained. The furniture is charming, the bed was pretty comfortable. There is no a/c, so room could become very warm in summer! We didn’t have a car while staying here, just used metro and Uber. Not fancy, but cute place!

Pension Suzanne provides lovely accommodation just one block from the famed Opera House in Vienna. It was the perfect location to begin our trip to Austria. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. I would love to stay here again.

Location, location, location. This hotel is a convenient walk to several major sites in the city. The Hop On bus is right out the door and the taxi stand is right around the corner. Numerous restaurants, a small grocery store and general shopping is just a short walk. The guest rooms are small but clean. The breakfast options are not as numerous as other hotels but adequate. Overall, I recommend this hotel to other travelers.

Incredible location around the corner from the Opera! Old fashioned decor but clean, comfortable and quiet. Bonus of nice walk in shower and kitchenette. Three proper beds for a triple - no uncomfortable sofa bed! Good breakfast with lovely fruit variety. WiFi adequate. Excellent value.

A week in Vienna

Great location. Helpful staff, excellent renovations of bathrooms, beautiful breakfast room and choices of foods.
Family run - all helpful and answer any questions. Near opera, one block from central Underground for tickets for buses, trams and trollies. Walking distance of most tourist sites. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Old world charm in amazing location

It is a small, no frills hotel in a perfect location, which was exactly what I wanted for one night travelling solo.
I loved the old fashioned decor! My room had a bath and the bed was very comfortable. The check in staff were friendly.
I’d really recommend this hotel!

We booked Pension Suzanne because of it’s location. If you’re in Vienna for classical music, it can’t be beat! Barely a Bloch from the Staatsoper, it’s also a convenient short walk from the Musikverein.

Great location for sightseeing hofburg, opera. Great hotel for early start for morning mass at hofburgkapelle with Vienna choir boys. Would come back for location but rooms are a little tired but clean. Bath with very high side so be careful if knee/hip problems . Good options at breakfast.
