The staff was very courteous and helpful.
We were pleased with our room, but there were a couple of issues. First there was no adequate lighting for the two twin beds. The light that was there, was dim, and the lampshade was broken. Second, the sofa was in poor condition. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was very clean.

Great central location, but I’d love to give it a better rating. I was on the first floor (European 2nd) on the alley side of the building away from the main square. It was quite noisy until 1-2AM and also again at 6 AM in the morning. Earplugs worked for me.

The shower isn’t for tall people. I’m 6’2” and unfortunately, there is a bar that goes across the top of the shower to hold a glass panel in place. It’s about 6 feet. This could be just my room, I don’t know.
Other than that, though, the staff was extraordinarily nice and accommodating.

We spent two nights here in the deluxe double room with balconies overlooking the plaza. The room was large with a comfy bed and well appointed bathroom. The plaza is noisy in the evenings but we were mid week so it quieted down around midnight. Nice little continental breakfast for a reasonable price. Easy walking to the beautiful cathedral and up to the Alhambra. Lots of shops and restaurants around. We would stay here again!

Little gem, ideal stay for Granada.

Very central position. Room not big but very comfortable bed. Warm room.
Nice toiletries and the possibility to make a drink. Bus stop from the square, C31 or C34, takes you up the hill to Albaicin, where you get amazing views of the Generalife gardens and the Alhambra. Pay on bus €1.40 per adult.

Property is well located. Seems to be short staffed, only one person manning the main office. Breakfast is offered at an additional cost but is not appealing. We did not eat there.
Rooms are outdated and one of the 2 elevators were out of service the two days we were there.
Would not select this property next time in town.

I stayed for one night and was very pleased. The hotel is in walking distance to the Alhambra and the town centre, many restaurants are nearby for dinner or lunch so it was very convenient. The room was good and clean, the shower warm and the bed comfy. I’d like to especially emphasise how lovely and kind all the staff members were! Thank you for your help with my bus ticket! ;)

Right where you want to be, a little noisy as you might expect in a city but as a solo female traveller it was great. I have to say the gentleman who checked me in after my flight was delayed saved me when I’d lost my phone and went above and beyond to help even after I’d finished my shift. I wish I’d taken his name he was a life saver!

This property was great in every category however on check in, I wasn’t really provided and information on the amenities, so staff could improve there. The room is in a very busy area and windows are not soundproofed so expect some noise from outside activities. Bed was very comfortable, which can be a big hit or miss.

Close to everything but quiet! An amazing property, clean and fully equipped. But very difficult to find with no prior instructions even after i sent an email 5 days earlier telling them when I was a arriving. After a 18 hiur journey, we spent over an hour trying to find the place. The contact person did not speak English and he finally sent me instructions to the location and a flower pot to find the keys!

Good, but please fix leaks in the bathrooms!

Absolutely perfect location, overall a good little hotel, quite comfortable. Our bathroom was in quite poor condition (room 22), seemed there was an ongoing leak from upstairs and there was actually black mould growing on the ceiling. I imagine ours was also leaking to the floor below because the silicone around the shower was completely broken. Clearly the hotel needs to step up is maintenance procedures, but it was a good value stay. A selection of English language TV stations (even if just CNN or BBC news) would have been a nice addition. Overall though we had a great time 👍

This hotel is lovely! I booked one night and then extended my stay. My room was not street facing so I didn't have a view but because of that the room was quiet. The location is quite nice with a main plaza as soon as you exit and bus /taxi stops literally in front.
Clean rooms, with shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and shower gel available in the bathroom. The towels were clean and plenty.
There is a breakfast every day for 5 euros and it has the usual cereal, bread tea and coffee so nothing special but doable for the price. Since the area is so close to AlHambra all other places are a bit $$$ and most aren't open early in the morning.
The reception was amazing, super accommodating with my changes and able to converse in English because my Spanish is quite basic.
AC was also pretty decent with controls available inside the room.

This is a GREAT Hotel! Rooms are clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The location, just off Plaza Nueva, is very convenient, with ready access to cafes, tour busses, taxis, and within walking distance to the Alhambra. We enjoyed our breakfast in the attached breakfast room (4.99) with good food and friendly waitress.

Nice hotel, perfectly placed to explore Granada

The check-in was confusing and slow. We couldn't get access at the stated time of 2pm, but that wasn't really a problem. The reception area was frequently closed during what were supposed open times. There was, however, a mobile number left to call to get attention. Was a little frustrating.

The rooms were a good size, as were the bathrooms, although the towels were very thin. Nice mattresses, but only one pillow and the reception was closed when we needed to ask for more. It was only 9pm, but we were tired and didn't want to wait for the receptionist to come back.

The slightly more mature receptionist in the afternoon was very nice and extremely helpful when I needed something printing.

Overall though, we were happy with the hotel as an overnight stay.

We loved our stay at OYO Hotel Plaza Nueva.
The location is fantastic as you can turn one way out the door and within a block you are on a busy modern street. Turn the other way out the door and you are in the old neighbourhood of narrow cobbled streets.
Our host was very helpful with directions and ideas.

Where do I start?

First of all, don’t even think about staying here if you are driving in. The hotel is is a weird spot that has no car access and so you will need to pay €20 to park. Might not sound TOO bad, right? Well if you can find the place to park amidst the MC Escher-esque maze of one way streets then I applaud you. Our GPS was no help, and neither was the front desk of this hotel when we called them to ask for more specific directions. They insisted that we could drive to it at first, then gave us an “i don’t know what to tell you” kind of answer before ending the conversation. After another hour of us driving around and hitting dead ends, we called them again and got hung up on twice before they finally answered.

In this second conversation they offered a piece of info they neglected to tell us before...go to Pan street. Ok, we tried that and STILL couldn’t find where to park.

We ended up parking 10 minutes away and paying more because at that point we felt we just needed to park somewhere and the hotel was no help.

So after this frustrating experience, we checked into our double room which was two single beds pushed together.

We were only there for one night (thankfully) and our room faced the busy alleyway where people were banging around and making noise until easily after midnight.

In the morning, it took 10 minutes to get the shower hot. There were also no towels to speak of except a hand towel. We were close to check out time by the time we noticed t

Wonderful double height vintage styled room in the heart of the Plaza, it felt like we were back in time but had enough modernity and cleanliness for us. Very convenient to everything in the City and the Alhambra. Our daughter loved the upper loft area with her own bathroom. We were on the top floor (3) so it was light and airy and all of our windows had balconies, including one on the front with a beautiful view of the Alhambra. The only negatives were the AC was kind of weak but we gave them a pass since it was 105 degrees (F) out that week. Opening the windows gave a nice cross breeze at night. Also, no coffee maker in the room, I can't remember the last time I encountered that situation. I love to have my morning coffee in the room. There was a small fridge though, which we always look for to keep food costs down. Over all a nice experience in a convenient location. We would gladly stay there again.

Good Value, great location

The location of this hotel was the huge draw; the hotel is set on the bustling Plaza Nueva. I had a room that did not face so the plaza, so the noise was not an issue; as others have noted and I enjoyed being situated in the center of town. The room was basic, no frills, but was clean and comfortable (though the pillows were too hard for me!) . The front desk was helpful, and had even helped me secure tickets to the Alhambra prior to my arrival which was great.

I did not sign up for the breakfast buffet, as there was a great little coffee shop down the street where I had my breakfast and morning coffee.

Overall I enjoyed my stay at the hotel and would recommend if you are looking for an inexpensive, no frills room to stay in while visiting Granada.

A nice stay in lively Granada

This small boutique hotel is conveniently located to the best sites in Granada within walking distance of the Albycin and Alhambra along the river. It suits the traveler not seeking deluxe accommodation but rather a clean and comfortable place to rest between adventures. You definitely hear the lively bustling of people going about their day so either bring earplugs or just let the vivacity lull you to sleep. Everyone at the reception area was super nice and our room was ready even when we arrived an hour early.

The hotel is located in the super convenient Plaza Nueva. If you're willing, it's about a 30 minute walk to the Alhambra main entrance and close to all the other tourist sites. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The only thing missing is maybe a kettle in the room, but otherwise it was a great stay.

My wife and I had a two night stay here and it was perfect for our needs.

Before I go on, please be aware that if you have a car you do need to book the car park as there is no parking close by. The hotel can be reached by car, it looks a little ominous but believe me you can get there, drop your bags and then a staff member will take you to the car park. Its 20 euros per night but well worth the hassle.

Our room was really nice, clean and very comfortable and every staff member we met was very helpful and friendly.

The breakfast was a real treat, all of the food and drinks were of very good quality and they were just the ticket to start your day.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, there are bars and cafes all around and you will be fed to death with tapas with every drink you order, so beware.

This is a hotel I would very happily return to and we hope to do so in the future!

Perfect location! Right in the main plaza which is the centre of the city! Walkable to all the main sites and different areas of town. Also, all the free walking tours start in the plaza so it is perfect. The staff here are excellent and recommended all their favourite local places to eat and go, in addition to which tourist traps to avoid, which we took advantage of!
Rooms are quite spacious for Europe, and everything was clean and tidy! Would highly recommend to anyone staying in Granada!

The location was excellent, however the hotel itself was a bit disappointing. If you're ok with \" old vintage\" type then you will like it. I didn't . Staff were friendly even though they weren't fluent in English. Breakfast layout was small Andy us and hadn't of ask whether he could have eggs. The person them said he will go to the kitchen to make, but we didn't wait. Room was small but ok for one night I suppose.

Wonderful. Location...location.....location.
Can't beat that. You're in the middle of every attractions. Being able to walk everywhere not only saves time but also money on transportation. No matter your age you will find yourself needing some \"siestas\" or dropping some shopping or whatever. Very handy.
Got an inside room which loved it since my main goal was using it for sleeping and achieved it since it was quiet.
Saved for last but not least thr personnel. The best in every regard.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here as we had a room that overlooked Plaza Nueva (great people watching). The hotel and its rooms are of average quality, but of good size. The location was the biggest draw for us because most of the tourist sites are within wallking distance and there are restaurants and bars in the neighborhood. This hotel is a good value and I would stay there again if I return to Granada.

We enjoyed our stay. Great location, close to all the main sights. Very easy to find (we took a bus from the bus station). Comfortable room. Only downsides: a lamp in our room was not working properly (kept blinking - very annoying if you’re trying to read) and the breakfast offered (surcharge) was very poor.

Great location but a very run-down hotel

We booked this hotel mainly for its location, and we didn't regret. However, the room had very limited amenities or they were broken, such as the safety deposit box, the fridge, and one of the bathroom light was brinking and finally shut down by itself. The main issue we had with the room was it was too dark for us to read. There was no English TV channel thus staying in the room at night was dark and boring. Wifi was good fortunately. The management shoukd fix up the broken things and maintain the hotel property.

Wonderful location for sightseeing. Faces onto main square in city, so can be very busy. Best go for side room if you don't want to be disturbed by the hubub. All staff at hotel incredibly helpful. Rooms well decorated, and (important in early January) good air-conditioning with heating.
