This hotel is just fantastic. I in particular was impressed and appreciated the professionalism and standard of service provided by the stellar hotel staff. The room was gorgeous and comfortable, I felt the value and condition of the room and amenities were the best of my two week trip. I sat on the roof terrace by the pool, used the sauna, and got a massage. It was so good I extended my stay an extra day. The hotel sits on top of a steep hill, but using the public bus that stops right outside the hotel, getting into the city center and back was quick and not too strenuous.

Everything was perfect!! From check-in to check-out and parking valet service. Entrance to the Alhambra palace is about 1-2 minutes. Walking distance to the city center, beautiful, beautiful. I would like to come back here again. Nice restaurant and excellent staff. No wonder this is 5 star hotel.

The staff were very nice, especially the woman on the front desk on our last evening, 10 January and on our check out day, 11 January (the same lady). She was absolutely lovely, and kind. We liked everything actually, except that it was really difficult for us that the heated towel rail did not work. A maintenance man put a lot of effort into trying to fix it. We were trying to use it to dry our laundry. These things should be checked and tested before guests arrive. Thanks though to the lovely staff, and the lovely design of the hotel, we enjoyed our stay overall.

We had a good stay at the Aurea Washington Irving Hotel. Location was perfect and only a few steps to the famous Alhambra. Bed was comfortable with options to choose for your pillows for a restful sleep. Breakfast has variety of healthy choices and Granata Restaurant has good food, too. Staff were attentive and helpful. The hotel is clean, although the carpets on the hallways may need updating. Overall, we are happy with our stay.

This property is located next to the Alhambra. Also, it's a 10-minute walk down the hill to the shopping and dining areas. The hotel is in great condition, well decorated, and clean. Their staff is exceptional! I would like to mention the front desk employee, Karina, who was extremely helpful in getting us a taxi to the airport. I am an avid traveler and I mostly stay in Marriott and Hilton brands. I must say this property superseded my expectations, and I didn't regret that I didn't stay at a Hilton or Marriott. I highly recommend this property if you are visiting Granada.

Our stay at the Áurea Washington Irving was more than excellent. The friendly and knowledgeable staff checked in my wife and I and provided suggestions for walking to local sites. The hotel property and rooms are immaculate, spacious and comfortable. The hotel location is perfect for visiting the Alhambra which is steps away. I was surprised to hear from the staff that you can leave the Alhambra from a side gate for a break and return to see the remainder of the Alhambra. The hotel staff treated us more than guests, they treated us like family. I had food poisoning on my last night at the hotel (a restaurant in town) everyone at the hotel helped me recover with special drinks and allowing more time to recuperate.

This was a perfect end to our Spain trip. The hotel is so serene after visiting the busy cities! Granada is bustling down in the city, but coming up here at the end of the day was just amazing! The shower did not drain properly and when I informed the hotel, they brought me extra towels to soak up the floor and it appeared to be fixed the next day. The amenity soaps at the bathtub were empty and again, the front desk immediately brought us replacements. I found the front desk staff very efficient and courteous.
The sauna is located on a short walk outside in the cold weather, so we could not use it.
The hotel is an 8 minute walk to the front of the Alhambra. Walking down to the old city center was easy too (15-20 min) and a red shuttle was an inexpensive ride back up to the top.

We loved this property. Beautiful walkways however be prepared to walk up hill on the way back from town. Food was great. Staff was accommodating. Clean and they use a diffuser in the hallways which in my opinion had a pleasant scent. My daughter used the gym and enjoyed the available equipment. I signed up for an upper body/ face massage. Well worth it.
