Beautiful apartment built incorporating the ancient city wall. Wonderful rooftop terrace with views of Alhambra...stunning sunsets. Small kitchen, comfortable bed and small balconies with view of Alhambra. Great location (not in walking distance of train station id you are rolling luggage!)...bordering Albaicin district, close to Alhambra and restaurants. Juan was attentive and we would absolutely recommend. Would love to add photos but that option on Hotels.com never works!

Loved our stay here at the Apartamentos Turísticos Alhambra. We took the #3 bus that was very close by and were able to get anywhere we wanted in the city. The host was a lovely lady, super friendly and responsive. Two issues to be aware of - there are no screens (which looks to be the norm in Malaga) so you do need to deal with the occasional mosquito. We had fantastic weather (80 deg near zero humidity & cool at night) so we loved sleeping with the windows open but when we tried to use the A/C to cool the room at the end of the day, it wouldn't work unless it was set at 22 deg C and even when set at that temp. it turned on for a minute then stopped working entirely. We didn't raise the issue because again, we prefer open air but I would imagine when the weather gets really hot, that would be a major problem that needs addressing. The apartment is in the east end of Malaga so you really feel like a local and you get immersed in the culture. Very much a non-tourist feel which was great.

Quite literally the best place to stay in Granada. Stunning views of the Alhambra from the terrace, walking distance from the Alhambra, Sacramonte, and all major sightseeing spots. One of the walls of this apartment building literally dates back to the 11th century - it is part of the original city’s main watch tower and wall. The terrace with the stunning views is basically the top of this watch tower, with a glass floor so that you can gaze down from the 21st century into the 11th, while having your breakfast. Juan and Nacho provide excellent personalized service including very reasonably priced breakfast that you can have served on the terrace.

Just one word of caution (if you rent a car or have a taxi to pick you up from the doorstep): Right after this apartment is an extremely narrow section of the lane with less than 0.5 inches of clearance on each side even for small vehicles like the Toyota Prius (that too with side mirrors folded). Hence, best to ensure you have an experienced driver or park/get a taxi at the edge of Albaicin.

One of nicest places I’ve ever stayed. Great couple apartment. Very cool building. Very clean, well equipped, interesting. The staff was very helpful, very friendly, and efficient. But the view from the great roof patio is amazing. You will want to sit there any chance you get. Really spectacular.

We had negative experiences.

1. There was no hot water during our entire stay (2 nights). We had to take cold shower instead. Hotel was aware of the issue as other guests complained, but they didn't fix it.

2. We couldn't sleep because our neighbours were noisy during whole night. It is due to unbelievably poor insulation of bed room wall. Big painting is attached to the wall, but that will not block noises from your neighbours. Be aware.

3. We bought two Granada cards from them, and we were charged 8 euros in cash as commission, which is not allowed. Go check the official Granada tourist information website.

We emailed them a couple of times to address the issues & our frustration, but they didn't reply to our messages. Unfortunately, you shouldn't expect any sincere customer services from them. We are extremely disappointed.

The apartments are well-situated to sights of the city. The apartment is self-contained. The king size bed was very comfortable with lovely sheets and bedding. The staff person was very helpful (although limited onsite hours) It is best for people who are able to climb stairs and walk up hills (well worthwhile). They have laundry facilities next door. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the facility.

Ana is so friendly told us lots of useful tips , that we could access to Alhambra in an easy route .
Btw during your stay ,strongly recommend to visit owner’s private garden , very tiny & beautiful .
If the shower water could be improved ( the water is a little bit cold in the night , and water temperature is not stable...) , I would give full 10 scores !

Amazing Alhambra experience

From the start, Ana made our stay in Granada special. She gave us orientation to the narrow streets, and recommendations for restaurants and places to visit. She also went above and beyond to help us with some issues that came up. The apartment was down by the river with an amazing view of the Alhambra. Next time we might stay in the main building. It had an amazing view on it's rooftop deck and looked to be in a quieter area. The rooms were very comfortable with a kitchen, patio and balcony.

We really enjoyed staying here! It is closer to the main areas of Granada than it seems, but note that you will need to walk up/down a slight incline and some stairs to reach the apartments. Ana was so knowledgeable about Granada and directed us to all the sights. It was a short stay for us but we made use of the pool one day which was quiet and lovely. The view of the Alhambra is truly incredible. This is a great place if you are looking for a quiet place to stay that is still close by to the city center. Lots of the same amenities as a large hotel!

It was a great apartment for the three of us with an absolutely beautiful view of the Alhambra. The location was perfect, within easy walking distance of all the major sites. Our hostess was very sweet and helpful. Due to train difficulties we were not able to check in until almost 11pm, but she worked with us. I would definitely stay here again.

Room was cold, heat only radiated to the front of the apartment with no heat in the bathroom area and minimal heat by the bed. Wife and I slept with sweatshirts. Hotel is under construction so we couldn’t open the window shades as work was done outside our room in addition to waking us up. There were noises emanating from the bathroom fan and pipes which were loud at times. Bathroom sink is extremely small and no bathroom vanity or counter space.

We had an apartment on the river with 2 large terraces. One terrace had a street view, and the other had a gorgeous view of the Alhambra. I stayed with my family of 4 (2 teenagers). The apartment was a short walk away from Reception where we could enjoy the pool next door which also had an amazing view of the Alhambra. Our apartment had a well appointed kitchenette and there was a clothes washer on the terrace. We could walk down the street to catch the bus or take a taxi to the Alhambra. It was an easy walk down from the Alhambra to the apartment. We went in the morning for a 3 hour visit. Then returned at 7 for our assigned time for the Nasrid Palace. I highly recommend staying at this apartment.

unit 101 is for handicap accessible that has tiny sink and rusty bath/shower room. The room can't count for 3 persons since it is no more space after the couch converted into the sofa bed. It is uncomfortable. Only the terrace has spectacular view of Alhambra.

The location is perfect - less than 10 min walk to Plaza de Santa Ana where you can find tons of restaurants, coffee shops, and taxi; 25 min walk to Pavillon of the Alhambra. Very quiet neighborhood. The front desk is very friendly and helpful.

The location is excellent- quiet and the view can’t be beat. The service is top notch- very helpful and friendly. We stayed in room 105. A one bedroom apartment in the annex building. I would stay in the main building next time. There are several terraces which are easier to access from that building. There is coffee, tea and milk in the rooms. There are some excellent bottles of wine that can be purchased. I would suggest being more generous with the towels and replacing the couch in that room.

Fabulous studio on the carrera del darro that was spacious with a fantastic balcony (sun trap) view of the alhambra. Everything you need is either on your doorstep or a short walk away. Excellent facilities for self catering. Had a really lovely stay, as a home away from home.

Room with an incredible view! Great hotel staff!

We booked a family apartment with an incredible view of the Alhambra right out of our living room window. The hotel also has an amazing terrace where all guests can enjoy the view from the foot of the Alhambra. This place is worth it for the view alone, which is priceless. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and accommodating from the moment we booked the room (with helpful email tips and an open line of direct communication) and throughout our stay. They offered great suggestions for our stay (great restaurants/tapas bars, places to visit, etc.) and reserved a cab for us to the airport (and note that only certain cabs are able to navigate the narrow street on which the apartment is located). I did a lot of shopping around for the perfect room in Granada to cap off our European vacation, and definitely feel like we made the right choice with Apartamentos Turisticos Alhambra. The only reservation I would add to my review is that guests with difficulty navigating stairs or that are unable to walk a bit uphill from the town center to get to the hotel may want to consider a different location.

A bit difficult to get to (in the Abaicin)--15 minute walk (some up stairs) from Plaza Neuva. Very thorough and helpful check in with plenty of information. Great view of the Alhambra from roof terrace. Provide limited breakfast amenities daily (coffee, milk, jam, butter and oil) to your room.
7 apartments organized around inner courtyard so there can be noise from other guests, but quiet neighborhood.
The location is half way up the Albaicin and access to rooms is via a staircase in the inner courtyard (no elevator) so people who have limited mobility should look to a more central location.

The scenery from roof top terrace was something that you can enjoy for hours. Staff was very accomodating and gave us early check in. Its a little walk up on hill but that's how you get to see the historic side of granada. The only issue I had that there was no paper towel or any kind of tissue or kleenex but its something very minor and can be easily fixed.

The Apartamentos Turisticos Alhambra is one of the best we have stayed at. Modern, clean and well appointed but above all else an amazing location. Recently renovated with a roof top deck with spectacular views of the Alhambra - it does not get any better. It is close to all the main attractions in Granada. A nice touch is the use of a washer/dryer. The only other comment is that the rooms are compact. We thought it excellent value for money.

Wonderful one night stay in Granada

The location was excellent in the Albaicin neighborhood and very convenient to the Plaza Nueva. It was only a short 5 minute walk up to the Mirador San Nicholas plaza with its fantastic views of the Alhambra. Our apartment was well equipped with a small kitchen and seating area. Small bathroom but sufficient and very clean. Check in was very easy as we were a little early but the owner got the room ready and helped get us situated. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone visiting Granada and looking for a more intimate and immersed experience.

This comfortable lodging beautifully incorporates the defensive walls and ruins of old Granada. It has a clear view of Alhambra, in part of town with significant charm, but is accessed by a healthy climb up narrow streets (or miniature taxis). Rooftop terrace was a joy. Late night street noise was significant, but not so bad to deter a return visit.

If you want to experience the real charm of Granada, then this is the place to stay. Lovely appartments. Very clean and well kept. Located in the little narrow streets of the old city, this place has the most spectacular views of the Alhambra.

Ana, the manager, is wonderful, attentive and extremely helpful. We felt as though we were staying at her house...

The best view of the Alhambra

THe views from the apartments and rooftop terrace have to be seen to be believed. AFter a day visitng the Alhambra it was a joy to return and take a drink to the terrace and continue to take in the stunning Alhambra. Each night of our stay we spent several hours drinking in every last ray of late afternoon sunshine and stayed spellbound into the early evening.
THe apartments are charming, the staff and management are warm, welcoming and very helpful amd the location excellent. IF returning to Granada I would definately stay again at Turisticos Alhambra.

Beautiful, Rustic Apartment in Natural Setting

Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teenagers) loved this rustic hotel. Probably our favorite stay of our entire trip. The apartment had two separated rooms (2 beds each), a living area, bathroom, kitchenette and an amazing terrace overlooking the pool and the gorgeous mountains. We were grateful for the AC that worked very well (as it was incredibly hot). We did several hikes and also went to a lake area and spent the day swimming. Relaxing at the pool was also a nice way to spend the time as the views were absolutely gorgeous. The hotel had a fabulous restaurant with very unique and delicious food. The staff was very helpful and we could have stayed longer in this beautiful, quiet area. There was a tiny market nearby where we got breakfast items and ate in our room. Everything was very reasonably priced (compared to larger, more touristy areas where we stayed) and they even did large loads of laundry for 8Euros per load. Charming place with amazing views

Loved the hotel setting. But first, Ana is amazingly helpful. She arranged a taxi for pick up at the airport. One that would get us to their place without walking up hills that everyone mentioned. It's charming and historical. Amazing views of the Alhambra from the room and from the beautiful roof top terrace. The pool area with garden is a wonderful place to relax. Which we did as a break in the middle of the day. The room we had has what you need. Bed comfort was ok as I am finding out at all the places we have stayed In Spain. No problems with wifi. They have small muffins and orange juice as a continental breakfast. Our place was around the corner from the hotel and we didn't Have problems with this. I can't wait to come back.

Best deal ever!

The apartment is a good size, there is free drinks and pastries and beer and wine for a good price. The staff is friendly and made the stay enjoyable. There is a spectacular view of the Alhambra from room balcony and hotel roof. Hands down would stay here again and again!

Beautiful apartment, great location, amazing view

We stayed in one of the apartments down the hill separate to the hotel. It was a very nice place to stay, comfortable, well provided for, wonderful terrace view of the Alhambra and right on the doorstep of great places to eat. Parking is an issue, as in all these old parts of town and there was no wifi but we just walked up the hill to the hotel for that. There is also a stunning roof terrace view there and Ana was great providing information and is very friendly. Highly recommended.

The terrace overlooks the Alhambra Palace and it was beautiful sat out during the day in the sunshine.
The arrangements were easy. Rooms were immaculate and good wifi access even on the terrace. It was peaceful although you are near to action in the old quarter if you want it.
I will hopefully be staying here again

Charming yet excellent hotel

An excellent small hotel very convenient to old town. Very clean with all facilities including coffee machine. A little tricky for taxi access some won't drive the narrow lanes. The bed was a bit hard but everything else excellent.

Historic Apartments Alhambra

These apartments are in a fantastic location. The pool and terrace areas provided a secluded haven to relax with views of the Alhambra. The staff was beyond accommodating provided recommendations for restaurants and even the secrets of Morracan Tea.

A world class view

First of all, the staff was great. Ana provided great email suggestions on getting Alhambra tickets before we arrived, and excellent directions and guidance. The view from our room was breathtaking, and the location great. I will admit that after three days of walking, the Calle Zafra got steep and became a difficult climb. It was worth it.

We loved Granada, and the Apartments Turisticos were a great introduction.

Great apartment in wonderful neighbourhood

The location is amazing in the Albaicin, everything is at walking distance. You have to leave your car at a parking outside the neighbourhood and take a taxi (10 min) but Ana, the owner, provides suggestions and all the information you need. The apartments are in an historical setting and are modern, clean, spacious and well equipped. There is a nice roof top terrace with an amazing vue of the Alhambra.

Ana is very helpful giving all the info you need to buy the Alhambra tickets (must do so in advance) and recommends visits and restaurants. Don't hesitate to book this apartment, you won't regret it.

Quiet apartment with a view

On top of a hill thus requires steep walk but not that far from main square. Clean, quiet and nice view of Alhambra from rooftop terrace. Host Ana is very helpful & speak English.

Best olace ever!!

We stayed 2 nights here. This was the best! Ana greeted us with a great smile, and of suggestions for our stay. Just be prepared for lots of walking up steep roads and stairs. You are not able to bring a car to the hotel. My parents had a difficult time going back and forth to the Apartments. That was my fault and no one else. I was so excited to be able to stay in this wonderful place, that I didn't think of the walk for the older folks. I will go back one day! Oh BTW...Laundry!

Great hotel, great location, quiet.

Ana was great and the entire experience in Granada was wonderful. The check-in was easy and Ana was great, spoke perfect English, and had a great sense of humor. She explained the map and gave some great suggestions. The hotel was in a quiet area and easy to walk to the restaurants and bars in the main area.

We had booked this hotel not knowing that it was on a hill and lots of steps to climb. My husband and I both had gone through back surgeries and it was a difficult climb to the hotel with the luggage.The owner of the hotel was very considerate and not only did she refund our money for that night, but also booked us in a hotel close to the square and personally carried our luggage and took us there. She went beyond her duty because she did not want to see unhappy clients.For the kind service this hotel gets an A plus from us

amazing view

Hotel was great, views over the Al Hamra were stunning, especially from the roof terrace. The pool was a godsend. Breakfast was a little light, we supplemented is from the bakery. Although a 3 bed apartment was tight with just 2. Location in the Albacin was great but you paid for this with a heart attack hill climb. Not good for kids or heavy luggage. Taxi didn't like the narrow street access.

Great having access to the pool and garden...

Intimate hotel with great staff. Very clean and well maintained. Perfect having access to pool and garden after a morning of exploring. Perfect location. Would recommend getting a taxi (arranged by hotel) to and from airport if have heavy bags.

Apartment on Rio Darro and Alhambra was across the river. Sat on the balcony, drank wine and were amazed at the beauty of it all. Short walk to Le Chien for flamenco and Noray for seafood tapas. All exceeded any expectations

Great hotel

The hotel comprises small apartments. Our had a bedroom divided off from a small loung/diner/kitchenette and a separate bedroom. They're not massive but given the location near the alhambra, I wouldn't have expected it to be over spacious. The hotel reception staff were extremely helpful. The terrace on top of the hotel with views of the alhambra was fantastic.

Great Hotel Near Everything

This is a great 7 room hotel close to The Cathedral, shops restaurants and of course Alhambra. It is clean, very attractive, and Anna is a great Hotelier. You will love your stay here. Great value for little money.

Needs real continental breakfast.

The place is very beautiful central location, however the qualification as a place with continental breakfast is not justified, a stove top is provided, so you can make your own breakfast, but if you paid for and were expecting continental breakfast the packaged toast does not qualify for the extra money in my opinion.

Awesome location and great little places to stay

We loved our time here! There are only 7 little apts (their very little) but perfect for a couple ! Cute and very clean ! Super helpful front desk people and a location that can't be beat in the heart of the historic district ! We loved it here and plan on coming back! There is a top deck space where we sat out on everyday and had some wine with a fab view of the sights. The only downside is bc the rooms are so small if someone is outside your window (say walking by) it could be by your head of the bed. With that said we rarely heard anyone.

Stunning Alhambra views

Fantastic apartment facilities in a great location for all tourist sights and the room top terrace affords stunning views of the Alhambra just 500m across the valley. Very atmospheric accommodation.
