I was pleasantly surprise by the condition of the accommodations. It is an old building but it appears well maintained. The reception staff were very helpful and accommodating. The area has many homeless people but they were not a nuisance.

This is a good place, Barcelona is expensive and I went for a budget option, it was a good decision. It's near the top of La Rambla, so it has easy access to everything. For me as I am young it is easy to walk to the beach, maybe 30 mins, if you have a health condition it would not be an easy walk though, but for most people it is fine. The hotel is quiet, it is in a nice interesting urban cultural area, with a variety of graffiti styles present in the streets by artists from all over Europe, from tagging to full colour pieces. The staff speak fluent English and are very helpful. My room was cleaned every day. I would stay there again.

Our room in Hostel radio was great. The staff and service was really wonderful. The room is very clean and the property is well maintained. Our only concern was the noise level at night outside the hotel from the restaurant and club that are on the adjoining streets. We had easy access to the university area and La Ramblas and we felt safe staying there.

A very good budget hotel/hostel, good location!
The location is really good. There is a small supermarket right next door and cafés and restaurants nearby, so it is easy to find food. We stayed for two nights in mid-March (temperature about 15 degrees), so the room was a bit cold; take warm pyjamas with you unless you stay in summer. Hotel staff was really friendly, helpful (they gave a map and directions) and most of them spoke fairly good English. The wifi worked pretty well (in the lobby only), there was no curfew, there were two subway stations nearby and the hostel was easy to find (if you have a map with a large enough magnification). The lift is very small, but we were able to put two big suitcases in it. We had a private double room with a private bathroom; the bed was comfortable enough. As a Northern European, the bidet in the bathroom was a new thing for me (don't put toilet paper in the toilet basin). The room and the bathroom were really clean, they changed our towels and cleaned the room after the first night. Placa de Catalunya and the Ramblas are close; you can walk, and the subway takes you there in 5-10 min maximum. The aerobus brings you to Placa Universitat which is only a few blocks away, and you can take it to the airport from Sepulveda-Urgell (maybe 10 min walk) or from Placa Catalunya.

A very \"budget\" hotel close to Plaza Catalunya
The first room that we were sent to was like a monk's cell with nothing but a bed and tiny window. After requesting something better we were offered a room that was very slightly larger but had a glass door to a Juliette balcony.The bathroom had a persistent unpleasant smell and the fixtures were old and very worn. The wall bracket for the handheld shower was broken. The staff were pleasant and good with local directions but the room was barely tolerable. If we hadn't been offered the balcony room we would have paid the first nigt's rent and gone elsewhere.

The Aerobus drops you at Placa Universitat just a few steps away. The rooms are simple but clean and with small juliette balconies; very close to San Juaquim Costa street which is particularly lively on weekends and also very close to the MACBA art museum. I would certainly stay again.

Positives: 1. Bedroom always clean; 2. Good location, close to bakeries, some touristic points and also to the metro station (Universitet); 3. Workers, from people on reception to the cleaner, are very kind and helpful; 4. Good bed; 5. In our room we had quiet nights. Negatives: 1. Towels, despite clean, don't dry well at all; 2. Internet just in the reception area (sometimes also in the 1st and 2nd flor); 3. No breakfest included - this is just a point for improvement because when booking the room we knew that it was not included. 4. Small lift (maximum 2 or 3 persons) so if you are in a group part of them must wait or go by stairs (we were at second floor so no need to use lift); 5. TV in the bedroom - no control of channels. I'd definitely stay there again if necessary.

The staff here were awesome. Unfortunately this doesn't compensate for the hard beds, of air con and noisy location. It was quite hot in the room so you could either have airflow or noise control but not both at the same time. Also be aware the lift is for one person only so you often have to walk up many flights of stairs.

The room was everything we wanted. The service was very helpful and friendly. The location was great. The room was a bit warm, but I think that's par for the course in Barcelona. The wifi is only in the foyer, which was slightly inconvenient.

Great location for a short break
This is a simple and friendly place where location is key and you have a great base to explore the city from. An easy walk from a trendy area with quirky base and lots of atmosphere and an easy walk to La Rambla and the Gothic Quarter. The rooms are fairly basic but clean and we got an amazing nights sleep as it is so peaceful inside. Great budget place, no issues, 24 hour access.

Great location, simple and no frills hotel that just what we asked for. Good rate, walking distance to most tourist attractions in Barcelona. Earned my 5 stars because of the location and price. I would recommend this hotel for families travelling on a budget. It's very simple to find the hotel. Walking distance of around 12-15 minutes from Placa de Catalunuya ( the final stop of all buses coming from the airports). Very nice, helpful and polite staff. Rooms are small but clean. The only inconvenience: there are no tables in the rooms/ and wifi only at the reception, but the speed is good.

Great staff, good room and bed. Never ran out Of hot water and had good pressure. Daily clean of room and fresh towels. The only problem we had with the hostal is the walls were paper thin. We could hear foot steps, talking, beds moving, the people outside. EVERYTHING!

Porém, em frente há um bar que a depender do dia funciona até tarde e os clientes falam na rua e pode atrapalhar um pouco seu sono. Além disso, não precisei e acho realmente um mero detalhe, mas acho estranho que precise deixar um valor de caução para pegar o controle remoto da tv. O Radio é um local muito bem localizado em Barcelona, a 4 minutos de duas linhas de metrô e walking distance dos bairros históricos. A limpeza é feita diariamente, então tudo é muito limpo. A equipe da recepção é muito atenciosa e está disponível 24 horas. No entanto é preciso alinhar as expectativas: não é um lugar luxuoso. É simples mas bastante honesto. O único problema real é a acústica entre os quartos. É possível ouvir os outros hóspedes, sobretudo os que chegam falando alto tarde da noite... nesses casos temos tanto o problema da estrutura quanto da educação. Gente mal educada tem em todo o canto e de todas as nacionalidades. Tirando isso, foi uma estadia muito boa.

Todos do hotéis foram muito simpáticos, as fotos correspondiam com a realidade e a localização era muito boa. Único ponto é que a rua é bem movimentada e pode ter um pouco mais de barulho, mas isso não nos atrapalhou.

La zona non è delle migliori, bisogna fare attenzione sotto l'albergo c'è gente poco raccomandabile. La struttura è strana, ascensore piccolo che a stento ci passi, corridoio strettissimo. Le camere hanno un materasso a molle scomodo. Il bagno in camera poteva essere ottimo se non ogni volta che fai la doccia risale puzza di fogna per tutta la camera. Riscaldamenti accesi pochi minuti al giorno e non regolabili. Le camere rifanno il letto nemmeno bene, cambiano solo gli asciugamani. Probabilmente non ci tornerei più anche se zona molto centrale vicino la rambla.

Je suis arrivé pour 1 nuit avec mon petit frère, première impression et que le monsieur de la réception est très insistant en fonction du profil qu’il a devant soit même si au fil du temps il s’est détendu, il na cesser de me répéter « policia, policia » si je ne respecter pas les règles et je parle pas du fait qu’il m’a répéter 40 fois de ne pas fumer, or je ne fume pas.
On m’a vendu une chambre avec fenêtre + baie vitré + balcon pour au final me retrouver avec une chambre avec une pauvre fenêtre de 20 cm de large.

L'hotel è in una zona centrale che permette di raggiungere anche a piedi le principali attrazioni, il punto a sfavore è l'ingresso della struttura che si trova in una strada secondaria e abbastanza disagiata. Gli spazi interni sono tutti molto stretti e l'arredamento è limitato all'indispensabile. Hall e corridoi vecchi e trascurati, la stanza e il piccolo bagnetto leggermente più curati. Da dire che almeno stanza e bagno erano puliti quotidianamente. Pareti e porte sottili, zero isolamento dal rumore sia esterno che delle stanze contigue.

La struttura si trova in una posizione strategica,vicina sia alla Rambla che al Quartiere Gotico. Vicino si trovano due linee delle metro che permettono ulteriori collegamenti a tutte le altre parti della città. Il personale alla reception sempre gentile e disponibile a soddisfare tutte le richieste (nel nostro caso ad esempio abbiamo chiesto l'aggiunta di due cuscini e ciò è stato svolto senza alcun ulteriore pagamento). Grande altro pregio del personale è stata la consocenza di diverse lingue che permetteva sicuramente una migliore comunicazione. Ottima la possibilità di poter lasciare le valigie in un apposito spazio nel caso il check-in e il check out avvengano prima o dopo l'orario di partenza e di arrivo. Ciò che ci ha stupito è stato anche il servizio di pulizia giornaliera che prevedeva il cambio di asciugamani quotidiano. Dunque, la struttura offre realmente ciò che descrive con un ottima qualità-prezzo. Nel caso di un nostro ritorno a Barcellona sapremo già dove alloggiare!

First of all i didnt get the room i have booked. I was told its \"busy\". I was promised check on it next day but nothing. Second, the room and the shower wasnt clean at all. I could see hair (not mine) in the shower. On the other side i was allowed for early check in when i have arrived at 10 am after my flight . location is ok
