The expedia should include in your Ad that this place has no elevator . Omg, its soo hard to carry our luggage where no one is helping. The location is perfect but the property is not friendly to customers who has a lot of stuff to bring. If you carry a heavy luggages or stuff this is not the right place to stay

We booked a double bed based on pictures on Hotel.com website. They looked like a submarines quarters, grey narrow, dark and single beds. There were no other rooms hut they were all the same anyway. People partyed all night til 5.30 keeping us awake. Hotel.com have reimbursed based on our pictures submitted. So don't go

Very close to dining, cafes, bars, and attractions. Room was dirty. Bathroom had black mold and smelled like mold. Very tiny rooms. Zero amenities, no tv, no hair dryer, no air conditioning, no comfy beds, etc. They also charged my credit card almost $200 more than the price Expedia said I would be charged.

J'ai aimé : l'emplacement très central, très proche de la place de la Catalonya pour des accès au train - métro ;
et bien sûr le prix très concurrentiel.
C'est un peu bruyant : ce sont surtout les pensionnaires de passage.

A friendly, well located budget hotel

Budget rooms in very convenient location with an abundance of nearby bars and cafes and very near to the Ramblas on foot. Very friendly and helpful staff with the charm of old Barcelona right on the doorstep. The walls are a bit thin but my neighbours were thankfully quiet. I would stay there again.

A basic hotel in a brilliant location. Staff were ok and when they learnt it was my birthday they offered us a choice of 2 rooms. They also became more friendly the more we saw them. The shared shower and toilets were clean and a good supply

We knew it was a hostel like hotel but didn’t realize it also serves as an apartment building for regular, long term They live above the hotel guests’ floor and I suppose it was kids running around which we could hear in our room at night. We selected a room with a private There is no a/c. The room was very small and parse which we didn’t mind but the condition was somewhat dilapidated and the bathroom smelled of urine at all times. One of the nights it rained and we could hear a leak in the ceiling above the bed. Our room was next to the public/floor bathroom and all night, every night we heard the slamming of the bathroom door and flushing of PLUS: location was amazing.

The location was amazing, it was just off one of the main high streets. The room was basic, but it was what you would expect for the price. The staff were amazing, much better than I think you would find at a chain hotel. They were very good at understanding my terrible attempts at Spanish, and their English was very good. It's not far from the cathedral in the Gothic quarter, and the beds was only a 30 minute walk, with a few detours made on the way. There was plenty of bars, shops and restaurants only a couple of minutes away

Pension 45 is your low end typical hostal in a major city. The shower was WAY TO SMALL and the hot water facet burned you if you are not careful. The noise from the city street would sleep through the walls. There is no elevator for the 3 flights of stairs. Not a bad location, right near The Rambla and walking access to transportation. I’d recommend for young people only.

It was clean but he bed was very uncomfortable. It was a platform with a thin piece of foam as a mattress. Felt like I was sleeping on the floor. It was noisy at all times of the day, and there was no air conditioner. The wifi was unstable. The service was a little rude at times. Great location and clean but if you're looking for comfort it is not the right place

Rude front-desk

The front-desk guy named Mario is really annoying. He has no respect for customers and he even tried to teach me how to pronounce my name. Just ridiculous. In addition, i reserved a room with Queens bed and he gave me a room with 2 double beds..... avoid this hotel if you can.

I arrived at 3 AM and only stayed until mid-morning so did not spend long at the hotel. I had to wake up the receptionist to be allowed access to the hotel and found it difficult to sleep as locals were congregated outside the hotel.

The hotel is located in good walking area. One of the front desk was drunk, rule, and impolite. The hotel is very noises all day, all night. People on street are partying, drinking, yelling, and fighting. The rooms don't have conditioner. If you try to party all day and night in loud area, you choose the right hotel. Otherwise, totally not recommended.

Central to everything.

It was close by to the Catalunya Station and easy to find. No A/C but a fan was provided. Room was big enough for two and was very clean. Warning though...the Catalunya Station and the Familia Sangrada station are swarming with pick-pockets so be careful. They work in teams and one of them got my Spouse's wallet. Luckily he had all his important cards and money in his money belt. Other that that... Barcelona is a beautiful city and so are the beaches, and drinking Sangria's on the Platja Nova Beach is a must!

Good price for a centrally located hotel

Just off las ramblas so very centrally located. Service was friendly at times, but also not so great at other times. We were fortunate to have a balcony room which was great as the street was constantly busy so people watching was a must for us. Rooms aren't the nicest but for the location, the price is great.

Great stay at Pensión 45. FANTASTIC location - right in the center of Barcelona. Rooms are not air-conditioned, but with the fan and open window we were still quite comfortable. Staff was kind and helpful.

Cheap Sleeps, GREAT location.

I gave this a 3 because it could be more than that. Still, a 3 out of 3. Great location just off La Rambla near Plaza Catalunya. If all you need is a bed for a night or two and don't need all the bells and whistles, go for it.

Great central location

The location is the best thing about it, very close to La Rambla on a nice little side street. An older hotel not in the best condition, and we had to hand our keys back every time we left (24hr reception so fine), but we got locked out one day as the manager had left so we had to go out and find him on the street! Fine if you're just looking for somewhere central to sleep.

This was an excellent spot, especially for the deal we got on hotels.com and it wasn't a weekend. But it was crazy loud and the beds sagged and mattresses felt a little broken. There was construction going on somewhere in the same building and it started early. The room was clean and the shared bathroom was too. Also, we got in at almost 1700 and our room still was not available for check in, which was frustrating for traveling all day.

This hotel was great. Mario at the front desk was very friendly and informative. The room and bathroom were very clean - relative to a budget hotel. This hotel would have been perfect if there was an air-conditioning unit in the room - we had to leave the window open due to the heat and let lots of mosquitoes in.

Big disapointment about additional payment for towels. We stayed 7 days, room was serviced on the 4th day. An extra towel will cost you 2 euros.

Reception staff absolutely fantastic. I would recomend this hotel to everybody as the location is worth for that money.

Get what you pay for

Like others have said, the hostel was very clean and very centrally located. It was also, as others have said, really loud at night, but in summertime in Spain, you can't close the window. The room was already unbelievably hot, so we just had to wake up whenever there was a loud group or a fight.
One employee, Mario, was a true delight - he was very chipper and helpful and always made me smile! However, I found one employee who works nights really rude and grumpy.
There was a fan in our room, which helped with keeping it cool, but it was still summertime in Spain with no air conditioning. Also, a \"double bed\" is just two beds pushed together, and they tend to slide apart throughout the night, which makes it less comfy.
It was nice to have a sink in the room.
All in all, it was a nice, cheap place to stay, but I don't think I'd stay there again.

Perfect Location/No Air Conditioning

This place was in a perfect location! Just walk down the shopping-filled alley and you're in Las Ramblas! The guys at the front desk were really friendly and the three shared bathrooms were kept very clean. The place is small so we never had to wait to use one of the bathrooms even though it was peak season and the place was full. The only reason I give it a 4 instead of a 5 is because it was late June and burning hot but the place did not have air conditioning. They did kindly provide a fan!

Poor condition, but good location

Don't expect too much; the pictures etc. here paint too good a picture of the general outlook. The rooms were shaddy, looked like a cellar especially along the hallways, despite the room (2-person, inc. a private bathroom) being on the 2nd floor. The doors looked like from a sauna or something, and the rooms were quite cold. Also, one morning, there was no water at all for about 2 hours. No hair-dryer and no soap in the bathroom, which otherwise was better than the room/hotel in general. Narrow hallways, slightly difficult to maneuver baggage. Despite all this, the location was great and price not too bad. If you're looking just for a place to stay, it's ok. For the next trip, we'll look elsewhere.

Really friendly staff at the 24 hr reception. The rooms and hotel were well maintained. basic amenities for a hostel. With all the walking and travelling all day, when we got back, we were just so tired. Gets a little noisy on weekends and early mornings. otherwise, Great location as it is 5 minutes from placa cataluyna and las ramblas.

Recently stayed here for a weekend with my wife. The place is pretty basic, no mod cons or anything like that. Not that this was a problem for us as we only really were at the hotel to sleep. It is also very central, which is great. The downside is that it is very central and quite noisy outside, not unbearably so, but not great if you are a light sleeper.

If you want a quiet family place this is not for you. However, if you want to take part in Barcelona's thriving night life and are not too concerned with luxury, then this is an ideal place to stay.

冷蔵庫や電子レンジも有り、コーヒーも自由に作れました。
とても便利な場所に有り、観光もショッピングもしやすかった。

Super malgré le pseudo réceptionniste

Pension très bien placée à 5 minutes de la place de catalogne. Chambre donnant sur l’arrière donc très calme. Dommage que tout ait été gaché par la personne qui était à l’accueil. Un homme particulièrement désagréable qui a mis un 1/4 d’heure à nous enregistrer alors qu’il avait une imprimante pour scanner nos cartes d’identité. Ni bonjour ni rien ni sourire, et a voulu nous faire payer la taxe de séjour pour 4 alors que nous avions un enfant. J’ai failli appeler la
Police tellement il était désagréable. Il nuit clairement à limage de marque de l’établissement. Jamais vu un type pareil. Séjour vraiment bien mais la pension n’a pas besoin d’une personne comme ça mais je devais le dire pour faire remonter au patron de la pension.

La struttura è in una posizione estremamente ideale se si vuole girare per Barcellona, la struttura è abbastanza pulita, il personale tutto sommato disponibile nelle spiegazioni dei posti da visitare e non solo, al nostro arrivo non ci hanno richiesto la caparra di 100€ che era invece descritta nel sito.
Possiamo consigliare questa struttura qualora ci si trovi a Barcellona per viaggio e per visitarla.

Ostello vicinissimo alla Rambla, posizone ottima. Leggendo le recensioni precedenti, che parlavano di insetti e sporcizia a livelli altissimi, ci aspettavamo un disastro. Ma non abbiamo trovato niente di così catastrofico, la struttura è vecchia ma tenuta in buone condizioni e tutti i giorni passa il personale delle pulizie a sistemare la stanza. Anche per quanto riguarda gli insetti non abbiamo visto assolutamente niente, forse perché abbiamo pernottato a maggio e quindi le temperature non erano ancora altissime! Blatte o cose simili si avvistano con grandi caldi, forse è più probabile a luglio/agosto. Quindi tutto sommato, considerando il rapporto qualità prezzo, è stato un buonissimo affare. Lo consiglio per chi passa a Barcellona fuori stagione per qualche giorno e vuole trovarsi vicino alle attrazioni principali, senza aspettarsi un hotel a cinque stelle.

Under all kritik!

Värsta hotellet jag bott på. Skulle aldrig rekommendera det till någon. Jag brukar inte skriva recensioner men detta var under all kritik så känns som man borde tala om det. Personalen var absurt otrevlig, smutsigt, högljutt, väggar av papper. Personalen bad gäster hålla tyst när de inte sagt ett ord. Satt uppe å rökte i receptionen hela natten med sina vänner. Nulla di negativo da dire. Check in 24h su 24. Donna delle pulizie tutte le mattine cambia asciugamani e lenzuola. Pulizia non è il massimo ma possiamo anche arrivarci visto che è una pensione e costa pochissimo il soggiorno. Nessun animale questo ve lo posso assicurare , non prendete in considerazioni le recensioni negative . Forse l unica pecca è il fatto che le porte e i miei sono fini quindi si sente tutto.

Établissement tres sale
Personnel juste sympa
Prix chère
On plus le reception nous demandde a payer un supplément soit disons taxe.
Moi et mon amie on recommande pas cetre hotel.
