I can’t believe this place is rated a four star. It was no more than a two. It needs to be updated tremendously. I couldn’t wait to leave, the room felt so gross. The staff was not accommodating at all. Sadly This is where I spent New Year’s Eve.

Customer service was good. Rochelle and other staffers were very helpful in giving us directions.
We ate breakfast at a close by cafe, but the breakfast offered at the hotel was way too expensive. It should have been included as part of the price, as it is at most other hotels, or be more reasonably priced..;
It was clean and quiet. No other issues.

Had a fantastic stay. Staff were very friendly and always happy to help. Our room was cleaned and beds made every morninh whilst we were at breakfast, which was wonderful. The hotel is on the doorstep of some amazing authentic restaurants and night life, but the room is still quiet for a good night's sleep.

This was our 4th time at this hotel and the service has declined dramatically. Rachelle on the front desk was rude and unhelpful. She advised us the rooftop pool was closed on a sunny 30 degree because it rained earlier. Rather than mop or squigy the floor, she made the decision to close the pool all tighter at 4pm. After some escalation and pressure from other hotel guests, she reluctantly unlocked the door and allowed us to use the pool but proclaimed ‘the bar is closed, no staff, no drinks’. I’ve never had such shocking service at a hotel in Spain. Our room smelled very damp and had a strong musty odor that never subsided. The air conditioning was ok, but it certainly wasn’t cold enough for us. Our room was big and well appointed and the hotel location was awesome! Alex who was the concierge was super nice and very helpful; shame Rochelle’s bad attitude ruined everything. We won’t go back, there are better options in the same area with nicer staff.

My friend and I checked into 2 different places— at hers they welcomed her, brought her bags, and took time to share the great things about Barcelona, and invited her for wine at 7. Here I got my key, and although the lady helped to remove my bags, that was all there was. The food at the restaurant was good, but it was hard to find someone to help.

Pros- the shower, and bathroom in general. Wow. The room size was perfect. I liked the view from my room. It’s easy to get around. The people were kind. It was clean. Lots of amenities.

Cons- as I write this I can hear everything in the halls (neighbours knocking, doors opening, talking), I feel a good rest may be difficult. I felt the lobby staff could have done more (sharing about the city). A peep hole in the door would be nice, as would the added security of a chain lock. Trying to use the phone to connect with the front desk seems to be impossible. Tried to call, nothing happened. There is nothing in the room to help navigate that. Tried to find the room service menu, could only access online. Would be nice to have all of that in the room.

It’s a nice place, but I feel it’s missing the above to make my stay easier and more comfortable.

Super location, great transport links nearby. Rooftop space included several seating areas, small pool and bar. Lovely comfortable bar area.The room (number 214) and bathroom were clean, well equipped and big enough for both of us. Did not eat at the hotel as plenty of other options nearby.

There were no hooks to hang up towels in the bathroom, despite the card saying to hang them to conserve water and the layout of the room was awkward, hard to get around doors to the bedroom, bathroom and shower. For the price we paid for this hotel, I would expect a bit more in terms of the room itself.

Humidity levels were so bad that the sheets fell wet and our clothes also. The walls looked like they were melting. It smelled in the room assuming mold or dampness. They put a machine that was suppose to be a dehumidifier buy that didn’t work. AC was terrible. Pool was nice. Staff was friendly.

Definitely stay there again! Great location for exploring. Best part is the rooftop pool…plenty of space, umbrellas, and food/drink service during the day. Also, breakfast is also quite good. Lots of choices. But €20 pp. So if you’re a light morning eater…probably not worth it.

They were very accommodating by letting us hang out all day at the pool prior to check in (our flight arrived early AM but room wasn’t avail until 3) and after checkout (boarded a cruise at 4pm but checked out at 11).

Def some odd details, but nothing that’s a dealbreaker:
- No towel hooks in bathroom…or shelf in shower for shampoo, bodywash, razor, etc.
- Our room had no plugs near the bed. We had to unplug the phone to use the outlet.
- No towels at pool. Had to get them at the front desk, which was a bit of a hassle.
- Pool lounge chairs are not very comfy unless fully reclining. Ther

The hallways and room smelled of mold. We informed the hotel after our first night and they offered us a replacement room but it would only be available our third day. Over our second night the smell in the room improved significantly so we decided to stay in the room. We had to keep the bathroom door closed since we figured the smell comes from there ( either the sewage or moisture) since there isn’t proper ventilation. The hall way of our floor smelled very mildly throughout, you could clearly see they have water issues when looking at the corners of the floors. Other than that we liked the location although it was loud since it’s on the street.

DO NOT STAY HERE. They advertised on Expedia as having air conditioning, laundry facilities and also had laundry service listed seperately, and WiFi. It was so hot in the room and when asked where the a/c was to turn on, they stated, they only have heat and offered a fan. When I asked where the laundry facilities were, they argued they did have laundry facilities, but that you pay for the laundry service ($10 for pants/$5 for underwear, etc). I showed them Expedia website and they said it was a \"language barrier\". WiFi did not work in my room and neither did the option to watch Netflix. There was mold on the tile and ceiling across the entire bathroom and ants in the bathroom as well. I spoke w/the manager who stated they could not give me a credit right then and there and that Expedia would have to since I booked through them. Of course, when I complained to Expedia and they called the hotel after I was home, they refused to give me a credit as they stated they would when I brought all these things up. I also asked for hypoallergenic sheets and they stated they cannot accommodate that request as they follow the laws in Spain for the type of sheets they provide. Very disappointed. I called Expedia to ge them to change the \"amenities\" that are listed, however, It appears they first need to reach out to the hotel and they have to agree. I could have stayed in so many other hotels for > $700 cheaper, I will not stay here again. They should be ashamed of their actions.

I’ve stayed here many, many times before and it feels like home each time I return. The sun terrace with the medium sized swimming pool attracted me in the first instance it’s a nice convenient area to relax in the sun after a day strolling around the city. A word of warning, in Barcelona the rubbish/recycling bins are emptied daily, but very early in the morning so I’d definitely advise not to stay in one of the front rooms in the hotel…..the back rooms aren’t much better but not quite so noisy…..also stay away from the lift shafts as the lifts make a dinging sound every time that land at the floor. Otherwise it’s difficult to want for more….and the breakfasts are fabulous….a great way to start the day 😊

We enjoyed the hotel and it was a great location. The room itself was a little tired - just some little bits of wear and tear, but still a nice place.

The swimming pool wasn’t very clean. That could be down to the fact it was freezing and they thought nobody would use it.

We were woken up on 2 occasions by the bin lorry’s and like 3am on a Saturday morning. That seems like a wild time? Maybe that can’t be helped but it ruined my sleep those 2 nights.

“Central Location, but in need of modernisation

The hotel is very centrally located, within walking distance of La Rambla, Plaça de Catalunya, and other key attractions, making it an excellent base for exploring Barcelona. However, the property is in need of a facelift and some modernisation. The rooms are quite basic and tired and lack essential amenities such as charging plugs near the bed and functional lighting.

Unfortunately, on the first night of my stay, the room lock broke, and the door could not be opened—neither with new key cards nor by the reception staff. I had to wait over an hour, past midnight, for maintenance to arrive, as there is no on-site maintenance available in the evening.

On a positive note, the staff were helpful and offered free breakfast as compensation for the inconvenience, which was appreciated.

We stayed there for 4 nights, room was clean and good size. Bed was comfortable but sofa bed was of average comfort.
Location is very good just 2 min walk to la rambla and metro station is less than 5 minutes walk, lots of food options with in a fee minutes walk. Staff were very friendly, professional and helpful.

This hotel was first class.Our room had a super kingsize bed whichvwas so comfortable. The room had an adjoining living area and bathroom which were really well equipped. The bathroom had rituals shower gel and shampoo which was really nice.The hotel location was superb as only 2min walk to las ramblas.There was a pool on the top floor which opened from 10am which had a few sun loungers which was lovely.The hotel staff were really friendly .I cant comment on the food as we ate out as there are such a variety of places to eat.The hotel lobby had a really nice comfortable bar area.On arrival i was upgraded to a junior suite as I am a member of expedia and hotels.com and given a bottle of wine which was a really nice gesture.

Hotel is in an excellent location very close to the Ramblas. The common areas are clean and modern. The room, however, was rather cramped and dated. The gym was awful. Small with two bits of kit. Hardly any point in having it. It’s also only open part of the day.

Very good location, right on La Ramblas, this meant we were out late night and could have stops at the room multiple times. Breakfast was amazing, I loved fried eggs. Kids loved the pool on the roof and gym was nice too.

Rooms were nice and clean. They had smart TV so we had good options to watch. We had king bed sofa bed for kids. King bed was very comfy and large, sofa bed was not too comfortable so kids in the last 2 days shifted to our beds with us.

Location was perfect! Close to the square to catch bus and metro. Would stay here again
