We enjoyed staying at the hotel. Our suite was well furnished and comfortable. The cleaners were really quick and efficient. They did a great job keeping the room clean. Our suite faced the street so it could be a bit noisy on the balcony. The restaurant food was overall better than the average all inclusive.

We were disappointed to find that our kitchen was locked and we would have to pay extra to access the facilities. We expected this to be part of the package. We would also have liked the hotel to have a separate bar, away from where the evening entertainment, so that we could enjoy an evening there without having to watch the shows etc.

This hotel was lovely. The room was clean and spacious. Staff were very friendly and helpful and it was a nice environment to have some time to relax. The only small thing that let it down was that I was overcharged at the pool side bar on one occasion (only by €1.50 so didn't bother to cause any hassle) but it wouldn't stop me from considering staying there again.

The hotel is spotless and staff are friendly and hardworking.

Room furniture is old style, yet perfectly functional, mattress was comfy and linen pristine. Junior suite is massve, we were told we had an upgrade however the suite we got is what we had booked.

We went AI and while the selection wasnt massive, it more than met our needs. As a vegan, there was oat and soya milk and plenty of vegetable dishes, with chickpeas or lentils on most menus. AI drinks wete fine bar closed at 10:30.

Pool area is lovely and theres enough activities to get involved in if you wish.

Evening entertaient was good fun, although poorly attended.

All in all, this was a lovely wee break in the sun. Would go again.

We’ve just returned from a fantastic two-night winter sun break at the Grand Muthu Golf Plaza Hotel, and it absolutely delivered. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and welcoming; exactly what you want when escaping the winter gloom.

The staff were genuinely excellent throughout: friendly, attentive, and always happy to help, which really made the stay feel effortless. Our room was lovely — clean, comfortable, and a perfect base to unwind between pool time and exploring.

A special mention has to go to the other guests too, a great mix of friendly patrons that added to the easy-going, sociable vibe of the place. It felt relaxed without ever feeling dull.

As for the weather… well, it kept us on our toes! A bit of sunshine, a bit of cloud — but honestly, even the changeable conditions couldn’t dampen the experience. There’s something quite enjoyable about sipping a drink in mild winter warmth while back home everyone’s scraping ice off their cars.

All in all, a brilliant short break and exactly what we needed. We’d happily return, preferably with the same staff, same atmosphere, and maybe just a touch more sunshine next time 🌤️😉

We were given the wrong room when we arrived and walked in on other guests staying in that room, which was very embarrassing to us and the guests. We were given another room, however the bathroom was dirty, the door would not close and the mirror was not in good condition. The furniture in the room was old and scratched up. As well as that the elevator wasn't working for two days. People kept getting into the elevator and going nowhere, then they would have to carry luggage up the stairs. On the second day they finally put a sign up that it wasn't working. The ladies bathroom in the lobby was also not up to par. The hand drier did not work, and the toliet roll holder was on the floor broken, and it was like that for the whole day. This is no way a five star hotel. The only nice thing about our stay was the staff. They were very nice. However they could not tell us why the mix-up with the room happened, and why the invoice i received was in another name.

I stayed at this hotel, which is officially rated as 5 stars, but in reality I would give it more of a solid 3 stars. The rooms are very spacious and, most importantly, everything is extremely clean — that’s definitely the hotel’s biggest strength.

However, the rooms are quite outdated. Some of the furniture is chipped, the inside of the fridge was cracked, and overall you can see that the place needs renovation. Still, the cleanliness made up for a lot.

Breakfast was absolutely perfect. There was everything from a full English to continental options, various drinks, and plenty of healthy choices. Definitely one of the highlights of the stay.

I didn’t try the pool because we spent most of our time outside sightseeing. The area around the hotel doesn’t have many restaurants, so it’s not a destination like Los Cristianos. We drove about 10 minutes to the beach, which was great.

The hotel is only about 14 minutes by car from the airport, which is convenient, but keep in mind that planes fly directly over the property. If you spend the whole day at the hotel, the noise might start to bother you.

Overall, a clean hotel with excellent breakfast, but not up to true 5-star standards.
Definitely would come back in future

This hotel is 3* at best as rooms and furniture badly needing upgraded. Wardrobe doors didnt work as off track, marks all over the walls reqs painting. It was clean and staff very friendly and helpful our room was 014 and just outside the support pillar was badly cracked and render falling off which was badly patched. The whole place needs refurbed, pool area was lovely and clean. Food was repetitive and luke warm at best at times, furniture in the dining room chairs and tables badly needing painted. The entrance to the hotel was lovely and welcoming but look to the grand ceiling large flakes of paint was coming off. Dining room staff were great and hard working. A Parker , Glasgow.

Pools were nice but very cold. 1 bar man by the pool during day . 1 bar man in the evening bar area. No decent cocktails. Nothing resembling fruit juice any part of the hotel. Food same for lunch & dinner. 3 nights here too long. Entertainment terrible. Hotel room lovely and large. Took blanket out of plastic bag in wardrobe and it smelt terrible. Lobby & pool area nice & clean. Welcome Cava on arrival nice but after that not included. Needs another bar area - maybe in huge lobby which had lots of lovely empty seating areas.

We spent one night as a family, we didn’t use the pool or other facilities. The rooms on the lower ground floor are dated but huge. Breakfast was wonderful and staff were kind and friendly. Pool looked well maintained and clean.

Check in whilst the staff were curtious on arrival we knew we could not get our room until 15:00. Tried ten minutes before but not ready went again at five past and got our room. When we got there they were still mopping the floor. Very small cups for tea as well as small glasses. I guess there was a kitchen but locked off beds were comfortable and clean. Fell short for apla e of this stature.

Staff were so friendly and welcoming. We don’t speak Spanish but were made to feel so welcome and were listened to if we needed anything. It was a well kept hotel with spacious rooms and a lovely pool area, the kids pool was a hit. The food was a bit hit and miss and we didn’t get to sample the different restaurants as they weren’t open during our stay. Would definitely go there again.

This is not a 5 star hotel, I would say more of a 3 star. We stayed in a junior suite that really needed updating and redecorating. It was very spacious though! WiFi isn’t great in the rooms - very intermittent and slow.
Positives - lots of sunbeds, friendly staff, pool towels, basic toiletries provided, spacious room, clean.
Negatives - restaurant was basic and food was only luke warm, cocktails on all inclusive were minimal and pre-mixed, entertainment was poor, hotel room was tired and old, room cleaning every other day and not daily. Minimal shops in the area.

We had to change rooms due to the wind blowing the curtains everywhere (front of hotel). The manager didn’t want to move us as he no rooms available at our grade! We moved facing the pool & it was a much better room. Pools & food were good the pool bar opened at 11am which was a little disappointing but we coped.
Overall a good base but could have done with a little more entertainment during the day & a slightly better selection in the evening

Room was out of date. Needed an update and deep clean. Loose floor tiles, torn window curtains, windows wouldn't close properly, some windows screwed shut, rips in shower curtain. Bath and sink taps covered in timescale. Disgusting shower head. Bathroom smelt awful.
Woke up with a bed louse on pillow.

Little get away from the cold in Germany.

My goddaughter and I did a 3 day visit and saw that this Hotel was close to the Airport and bus transportation was right outside of the hotel. The bedroom was separated from the lil kitchen and living room. Would definitely recommend and if ever have an opportunity to come back, would definitely stay here again.

Grundsätzlich hat uns der Aufenthalt gut gefallen. Das Hotel hat aus unserer Sicht keine 5 Sterne verdient. Das Haus ist in die Jahre gekommen und müsste hier und da etwas nachbessern. Trotzdem hat uns der Aufenthalt gefallen, weil Preis-Leistung gestimmt hat.
Sehr freundlich war die Rezeption und vor allem der Restaurantleiter der uns meist begrüßt hat.
Ser unzufrieden waren wir mit einer kurz haarigen Mitarbeiterin an der Poolbar. Sie hat uns trotz Meal Voucher und erneuter Rückfrage an der Lobby 2 Bier für 8 € abgerechnet. Das gleiche Spiel ging für Spanisch Sprechende Damen am nächsten Tag nach Diskussion kostenlos über die Bühne. Sehr ärgerlich weil wir All Inclusive gebucht hatten, dieser Begriff ist sowieso nicht Programm, weil erstens nicht alles inklusive war und selbst wenn man zum All Inklusive noch All Inklusive Plus dazu kauft auch nicht alles enthalten ist. Das kennen wir anders.
Das Essen war immer sehr gut, die Cocktails aus dem Automat waren schlecht.
Positiv zu bewerten ist, dass direkt vor dem Hotel die Bushaltestelle liegt....

Restaurant with basic food but you have choices (fish, chicken, beef, pork, lots of vegetable).
I did not reccommend drinks in bar, but beer was fine.

I recently stayed at the Muthu for 3 nights of my time I Tenerife -which is marketed as a 5-star luxury hotel with a full-service spa and two restaurants. Unfortunately, the experience fell short of these claims. While the rooms were spacious with a nice balcony, the hotel overall was very outdated and lacked the promised luxury.

The food was average, and to make matters worse, the advertised 2 restaurants were closed during the off-season—a detail not advertised leaving the basic canteen style all inclusive buffet. The spa was also shut down for the weekend, making it impossible to enjoy any relaxation.
On top of this, the kitchen in the junior suite was locked and unusable, and basic amenities like towels came at an extra cost. Even using the spa itself required an additional fee, which was unexpected given the hotel’s supposed 5-star status.

The location was inconvenient, far from attractions and services, and the noise from passing planes was disruptive. Overall, despite the spacious rooms, the experience was more in line with a basic 2/3-star all-inclusive resort rather than the luxury experience advertised.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone expecting true 5-star service and amenities.

from the outside of reception the hotel is in a great location and also looks very nice. No way is this a 5star hotel. After staying in many 5star hotels worldwide I'd give this a 2star at most. The rooms are incredibly basic and dated. Not the most clean either. However 5eur per night for underground parking is very well priced. I booked this hotel for a 1 night stay around 11am on day of arrival for £61gbp which was a large suite too. Every other hotel on the island was £150+ for an average sized room. The price sounded too good to be true however the location was exactly where I needed to be. Doubt I'll stay here again

Authorities have to revalidate the claim of this hotel being 4 star hotel.
It our opinion it is not even one star.
- has tv but not working
- has fridge but not working
- has Internet but takes 1 hr to download 1mb data
- excellent Christmas Dinner which was recycled for 3 days

Very very unfriendly staff which refused to give glass of water for a child who was desperately need of water, as we were half bearded.
No/limited transportation facilities to main tenerife attractions.
We stayed here for 7 days with more or less same Dinner/breakfast on almost all days.
It has kids play area which was too expensive.
I would sincerely request guests to look for alternatives accommodation rather than this place which does not care for customers service.
When i requested staff for glass of water, response was \"we have rules to follow and we cannot break rules and give water to our halfboard customers during lunchtime\" this is the attitude of staff here.

The room is plain - no frills - pictures, ornaments etc. We had buffet meal in the evening and good choice well presented. Same with breakfast,good selection tasty etc.

Cannot comment on the location as we were there one night.

We had to book last minute due to a flight cancellation by the disgraceful Wizz air.
The hotel is 10 mins from airport, has a local bus for 2.70 single fare or 13 for a taxi.
The area is quiet but nice view close to the sea. Few shops and restaurants / bars around.
The hotel is large, a tad dated but I paid 60 for a one night stay with breakfast for two last minute so can't grumble at all.
The hotel has an amazing shop where you can buy CHEAP alcohol. 3 for bottle of ok wine, food a tad expensive.
Hotel was ean, nice pool, happy hour offers etc.
All in all a good stay under the circumstances. Breakfast was ok in the morning.

We have stayed at the Golf Plaza many times and have never been disappointed! We stayed in a 2 bedroom appt with my elderly parents. The accommodation was clean and spacious and the “welcome pack” of essentials and addition of robes and slippers was much appreciated! We used the restaurant for dinner on 4 of our seven nights and were really impressed with the quality and choice of food. We also felt that the hotel operated very safely in terms of Covid. The staff in the reception, restaurant and poolside bar were all very friendly. We will definitely be going back!

The girl at reception (Veronica) was one of the friendliest people I have ever met at a hotel reception. Friendly, informative and all with a smile. Hotel room very spacious and well furnished. Hotel pool area lots of room and beds. ,

This hotel was described as having sound proof rooms, IS DOES NOT!!!! i need another holiday, i woke at 6am every morning with the bins being brought in and out, i could hear my neighbour's going to the bathroom. I approached reception twice, was offered another room which was out onto a busy main road, was told management would look into it and never heard anymore.
Not a hotel for kids, very little for them to do, food was ok, rooms are old and dated and grubby, but very specious, kept finding cockroaches. Do not stay here, spend your money more wisely.

Property is supposed to be a 5 star hotel. This is a 4 or 3 star hotel in reality. My room was a 3 star for sure. The gym and spa were closed, something I was not informed when I booked the hotel.

They have NO shuttle service to the airport, even though it can seem like they have in the hotel description.

They have free WiFi ONLY in the common areas, speeds that wouldnt impress you in 1995. If you want WiFi in the room you have to pay, about 5 Euro per day. Then you go to the room, and there is no signal.

Lovely hotel. Spacious rooms right next to pool - looked a bit dated though.
Good breakfast buffet. Enjoyed it.
Only thing I didn’t like is tat they want charge separately for using room safe, WiFi and parking

This is the perfect place for a quiet place in Tenerife, lovely peaceful hotel. There is a bus stop just outside the hotel-so handy for under 2 euros you can travel into Los Cristianos Beach in 20 minutes or I can highly recommend taking the bus the other direction to el medano- this is a gorgeous beach with some really great cafes and restaurants lots of windsurfers and a more Spanish feel.
Also on this same bus route you can stop off at los abrigos marina another lovely area. Again this takes 20 minutes and 1.45 euros.
Absolutely do the trip up the teide volcano and national park. This was such a highlight. The views are incredible and it’s a really beautiful place to see.

We also did a surf lesson down on playa de las americas-which was brilliant fun! This hotel was a perfect location-if you want a peaceful quiet stay then a nip either side 20 minutes on the bus to other locations. The hotel also has an onsite supermarket to stock up.
For food the marina has some nice tapas, also 15 minute walk to some lovely tapas restaurants-tapas and chill great for gluten, veggie, etc.

Also don’t be put off as we are the “shopping centre” for food is actually a rather lovely indoor market feel-with a great fish restaurant and lovely vibe-a nice 20 minute walk x

Pigeon / Bird roosting over balcony and on rails with poo mess all over floor. There are measures that can be taken but no one bothered. Impossible to use balcony

Half-term break

Overall, this was a good hotel for the price paid. 99% of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, although we felt a little let down in one interaction with one of the reception staff upon our arrival. The rooms were very clean, but the pool area had quite a lot of litter, partly due to the laziness of some people but also due to the wind blowing rubbish around- bins with lids would be a helpful addition. The apartment and balcony were very spacious and comfortable. The local area is quiet but has some lovely walks to the small nature reserve to the west and villages towards the airport to the east. Siam Park is easily accessible via a local bus service (change at Las Chafiras), as is the airport (service 415). The food at the hotel was excellent; we enjoyed every meal and the variety of food offered was more than enough. I would definitely stay here again during October half-term.

Good value hotel though not 5 star, clean and spacious apartment, comfortable beds. Nice seafront walks both directions. Not enough sunbeds though we went in school half term and so would probably be OK outside of those times.

Distance and facilities

I would only recommend this hotel if you’re a golfer. It is far from all the other activities and shops. I had to take a €25 from los christianos everyday. I would say just stay there. This hotel offers only a pool and small spa. No beach in walking distance. The room was relatively clean apart from a hair in the bath.

During our stay, the room we were given had no air conditioning working. The all inclusive deal wasn't as we thought it be. Getting drinks was confusing cause they switched bars at certain times. Bed was two single beds to create a double bed. The bar was a split function between childrens play area entertainment. Great for families though.
Thought when staying at the hotel you get to go to gym at no extra cost. But no, you have to pay a fare bit to use it.
Just was quite a let down.

Stayed at the Grand Muthu Golf for four nights. Booked a standard studio which wasn't particularly nice because situated on ground floor below street level overlooking the main road. Asked for a different room but told that all standard studios were on the ground floor overlooking the road. We were told we could upgrade to a one bed apartment at additional cost which we did. Apartment was excellent. Very spacious with view over the pool. Well worth paying for an upgrade. We stayed all inclusive and the food was good. All inclusive drinks very disappointing. Only basic wine, beer and spirits. No cava and no cocktails. Even the most basic of all inclusive hotels have cava. Only one place to get a drink in the evening which is the Piano Bar which is a large basement hall where the entertainment takes place. Not permitted to take drinks out of the Piano Bar into reception etc. and no other bars to have a quiet drink. Fine if you want to listen to the Karaoke and Bingo but would expect a 4 star hotel to have more than one area to have a drink. We had a day at the Spa which was nice. Mixed views on our stay but overall it was still pretty good value for the price paid.

Lovely place, we stayed self catering so did not use the hotel for food so unable to comment on that. The hotel itself has everything you could need, the rooms are large and spotless and all facilities are available. There are plenty of places just a few minutes walk away to eat and all we tried were excelllent. If I was returning to this area I would certainly stay again.

Stayed in a junior suite. Bed good and hard. Plenty of space. Huge balcony over looking pool. Cleaning service excellent. New sheets daily. Towel daily and twice daily if towels were out drying. Good choice for breakfast. Dined out for the rest. Area very built up for tourist . Local restaurants were just poor.
