Nice hotel in a good location.

Hotel was great, we took room only as wanted to explore the area and eat at lical restaurants, however, the dining facilities at the hotel did look good. The room was a little basic, no tea or coffee making facilities but clean and comfortable, great air con too as the weather was very hot during our stay.
Drinks were well priced although only one draught beer on tap, and there was nightly entertainment aimed for the children. Very close to the beach too. Overall a good stay and worth the cost.

Big hotel

The hotel for what we paid was good. Plenty of choice at breakfasts and dinner. No bars or restaurants nearby having to walk down hill to them. Also there was no beach.

Nice clean and well presented. Staff are super attentive nothing is too much. Beach is really close and there is shops and restaurants within walking distance. It was my lads birthday and they left a lovely present in the room when we got back in the evening. The staff all speak English. I would stay here again.

It’s a decent well priced hotel for a mid February stay. Breakfast had plenty of choice and was included, room was spotlessly clean with daily housekeeping, English speaking staff and entertainment on an evening even out of season. Bar prices reasonable. Plenty of free parking around hotel and car was safe. Lovely view even from lower floors. Overall a very good stay. Have booked my mum in there for a week in April for a bit of spring sunshine.

Hotel typical for half board/all inclusive. Hotel room fab sea view. Own lounge with bedroom. Staff on reception and luis Vanessa very friendly in the bar. The restaurant manager (man) very good and witnesses v friendly except two who told me off for taking my coffee to the terrace. Restaurant a lot nicer when they were not working. Ran more efficiently, less chaos. Area is pretty but disappointing as in the middle of nowhere. La Mata is pretty but very little there. Torrevijeca is as usual busy but good. The bus service saved this holiday for me as travelled around a lot. Good walking too about 45 mins to Torrevijeca

Hotel was not up to standard. Not only did we not get a double bed, the room itself didn’t work, as it is not open plan. There is a limited sea view, our view was mainly of the buildings roof services, we could barely see the pool area, completely pointless balcony. The aircon was on the far side of the room, the bedding was dirty, there were mosquitos in the room (I was bitten several times during my sleep). You can hear people outside the room at all times of the evening/night time. The quality of breakfast is sub-standard, cheap produce used. There’s also no room in the shower to hang your own shower gel/shampoo.

But we can hear all the noise from outside.
Please provide toilet brush at least.

The food was not of a good standard and was mostly only warm. Wsa either over cooked or under the bacon was always undercooked and fried eggs either runny or overcooked. We had to complain to the manager on one day as the bread was stale and mouldy. Dinner was not great repetative and sub standard.

On arrival everything looked good.
Our room was right by the lift and above the bar and entertainment.
When we entered our room the
air freshener was masking a stale, unpleasant smell.
The furniture was old and dated.
As I had requested a room with a soft mattress I immediately tried the bed, it was as hard as the floor! So I tried the sofa bed and that was nearly as bad.
We went straight back to reception and explained the bed situation. Straightaway the receptionist said they were fully booked. I did not want an extra room just swap the room but even the manager would not try to help, they even became offhand with us.
I tried to make the most of a bad deal and was awake most of the night.
We also had to endure loud music until midnight and the sound of the lift constantly.
We will never return to this hotel and would warn others to be careful when considering booking this hotel.

Winter weekend away

Great wee winter weekend away.
Pros: Good value for half board. Local bus stop outside the hotel. Room and hotel was clean. Our balcony was facing the sea so got sun until 12noon. Entertainment throughout the day but was understandably quiet as it was February. Most staff were very nice. Good bar choice with sandwiches all day and reasonably priced. Free gym. Laundry with one washer and dryer but dont know the cost. Late checkout available until 6pm but dont know the cost.
Cons: Food choice was not great but plenty food available; no kettle in room; no cafes or bars in the area just an upmarket restaurant and one shop open from 9 to 3 and closed Sunday; unless walking along the beach - walks around the area are uphill.

It is an hour's walk from Torrevieja. We knew this and love a walk but check you're happy with that before booking. There's a bus though, which is regular even if Google maps says it doesn't exist. Lots of nice coastal walks too. We did a good ten miles (according to Fitbit) one day, which was awesome. If you go into Torrevieja, I recommend the road train trip to the salt mines, it's only an hour but interesting to see. Overall for price paid it was fantastic. Typical solid, dated Spanish three star. Very clean.

Nice Hotel With Good Sea Views.

A nice hotel, the room big with a separate room with a sofa bed very good for a standard room, it had a very good sea view and the bed was very comfortable. It had a fridge and a big TV with 5 UK channels, but there was no tea or coffee making facilities and was was told the tap water was not safe, your option to get water from the vending machines by reception, the large bottle machine was not working so the only option was to buy a 500ml bottle for an exorbitant 1.50 Euros. Breakfast was very good and if you wished to have an evening meal you could buy a ticket at reception for 16 Euros, it was a very good option, but you had to pay for drinks separately even the water at 1.50 Euros for 500ml. This is hotel I would go to again, no major issues, just the water issue is an irritating as most hotels give you a complimentary water in your room and getting to the 6th floor after a long journey at one o'clock in the morning to find that there is no water there is a big issue!

We had a lovely stay .
We’d read some awful reviews before we arrived and were a little concerned but we had no problems whatsoever . The staff at the hotel were lovely , limited English but hey we were in Spain !
Food was ok sometimes not very warm .
Rooms clean and comfortable
We were on the 9th floor which was a little scary and would not want to be that high with children .
But overall we had a lovely stay x

This was our third stay; our first since the pandemic. Everything we had loved from the other times was still in place. Friendly, helpful, efficient staff in all areas of activity. Convenient location in walking distance of l La Mata beach, some cracking restaurants and supermarkets. Great facilities. Varied menu of good quality food (we were half board). We had a lovely family room with acres of space. Everything was spotlessly clean. Last but not least, the free parking lot is still in place adjacent to the hotel.

Ok, breakfast is great. Wifi was a nightmare, for 4 days i spent in the hotel, i couldn't connect my laptop to the hotel wifi.
Complicated method of connecting to wifi requiring passport number.

Had to submit a work i did late due to wifi issued, please avoid if you require internet for your hotel stay.

Absolutely wonderful

Everything is just perfect here: huge rooms with balconies, park and sea views, plentiful delicious food, large free car park right next to the hotel. I was especially amazed about my room, as I had booked the cheapest single - and what I got was a suite with 2 rooms and a bathroom between them, 2 TVs, a fridge and a large balcony with additional table and chairs. All new, freshly renovated, sparkling clean and beautiful. Highly recommended!

Positives - very clean, some great staff, all inclusive was excellent value for money.
Negatives - remote from other bars or restaurants, nightly entertainment was all in Spanish (eg quiz night) despite international clientele, no toilet near bar area, food was tasty but didn’t seem to be kept warm and one very grumpy bar man who switched the World Cup final off before the trophy was given despite people watching it! No need. The other bar staff were excellent however.

Stayed for 4 nights bed and breakfast in November was still busy for time of year. Rooms basic but very clean and great view over the pool and sea. Breakfast was good with plenty of variety. Entertainment in bar at night. Bus stop right outside the hotel goes 2 routes Torrevieja centre and La Mata ask driver where they are going because they both say La Mata only 1.55€ well worth it but can get busy and only takes cash. You must also wear a face covering!! The Torrevieja centre bus stops close to the bus station where you can go to multiple places. I would recommend this hotel for value for money.

Checking in was a problem because they refused to let us have the type of room booked and paid fpr. They claimed the room we booked (Double bed and single and sofa) was a family room and not available for a couple. We were shown the room and because there was nothing else available accepted it. Not happy at all.

Only negative side was the food, same each night but it was ok.

We were very impressed with the comfortable large room and balcony, great view of the sea. We opted for bed and breakfast food was good and we also have dinner there a couple of evenings. Pool a good size with plenty of sun beds, tables and chairs. One small criticism I would prefer a portable hairdryer to the unit fixed to the bathroom wall.

Comfy lounge and beds, good shower, lovely view from balcony, all rooms have view out to sea and pool, large pool.
Breakfast very good and good selection, staff were very helpful and kind.
Would have loved a tea making facility in room, kettle and cups even, would be much appreciated, but enjoyed our stay, very pleased that the bust stop was right outside, as this time we didn't hire a car, many thanks.

The hotel was excellent value for money. Bed was comfortable, hotel room very clean staff friendly and very helpful especially with the, (then new) Covid restrictions. Food in the restaurant was adequate not brilliant but good for the price.
Bad points were the location, not too much around and the bad internet connection, it kept going up and down then would not connect at all.

Very good value for money! The room was spacious with a good size balcony. Amazing sea view and the room was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was good with a range of hot and cold food. Only downside was that some noise could be heard from adjacent rooms but this is perhaps to be expected from a building of this age. Would definitely stay there again.

Unfriendly cleaning personal and a young Unfriendly restaurant staff, very rude ,hard and selfish...very mean form of communicating with a guest. You can still get the message through in a nicer way...very angry staff...no sympathy with a guest if u had a hard time..some staff were nice yes..
Also Clean toilett. Nothing thrown in, shiny but overflooded with water when u flush..need to go downstairs n use the toilett...twice on the second n last day of stay. Not even maintenance could fix it.

Hotel itself is very good for 3 star. Furniture in bedrooms very dated. Food in resturant was ok but luke warm most of the time. Staff 10/10.
Overall pretty good standard for 3 star. Watch out for the beach, it is not infront of the hotel as the photos might suggest. It is a 5 to 10 minute walk.

We have stayed at this hotel before and wanted a long weekend break away from our home (10km away!).
On both occasions we found the staff to be fantastic and very accomodating. Rooms are clean and tidy, and quality of restaurant food is good albeit slightly repetitive from day to day.
There is also some evening entertainment (animation) laid on, but most of this caters for the many Spanish guests that seem to frequent the hotel.
Our only minor gripe is that some rooms and other areas of the hotel are a little tired and could do with a refurb before long. It is also quite a way from civilisation (restaurants and shops etc), and whilst it is 1 minute from the coast the closest decent beach at Torre La Mata is a good 15 minute walk away.

As I’m disabled wheelchair user and I book there for its superb view only
When I got there the room was extremely small and is not wheelchair friendly at all but thanks to kind and friendly staff in the reception they changed it to family room but in my opinion the bathroom was the same small.

Nice hotel shame it caters for large parties

Group of children from Madrid arrived 3 days into my stay and after that you had to come down to meals when the restaurant opened or the food was all gone. Very noisy in the afternoons round the pools as the children monopolized the area so most people complained but nothing was done.

Amazing time at the hotel

I had a wicked experience staying at Hotel Playas de Torrevieja. The hotel is located near the beach, which is in a good walking distance along the promenade. The hotel was excellent. The room I had was amazing as it was clean and tidy. Swimming pool located at the back was terrific as it was good for sun bathing as well. The staff were really nice and helpful. Recommended place to stay.

Got lied to, dirty and discusting room.

When we checked in we were told we got the last room in the hotel (which the receptionist the morning after said we didn't). Someone had smoked heavily in our non smoking room. It was dirty, my feet got black walking from the shower to the bedroom. Stains everywhere. Noise all night long from people screaming passing by outside, we were next to the elevator on 1st floor. Barefoot people in swim trunks at the breakfast buffe, no one said a thing. worst hotel experience ever!

I was a solo traveller and it was my first time to travel alone
I found the hotel clean and the staff friendly
However at the pool they had games everyday and i was never once asked to take part as i was alone i felt it would have helped me to fitnin better
When the people came around to ask people they spoke in spanish
The rooms were lovrly but i could here full conversations in the rooms next door

Great choice for our needs

Great hotel place is quiet but visited area before lots of surrounding places to visit and torrievja only 10/12 euros in a taxi. Hotel staff friendly .. group of 6 and really enjoyed our stay.

Great stay

Lovely clean , friendly hotel.
Room over looking sea. Lovely big bathroom and great shower . Beds very comfortable . Could have done with kettle though.
Breakfast excellent, very reasonably priced . Would go back.
Thank you great staff, made u feel very welcome.

Excellent place to stay bus service by hotel to downtown Be aware you must use your room key to turn on electrics in your room.
Internet connection not great but free

Hotel near the beach

Hotel is OK
BUT:
Show programme in the hotel are on till 0.30 am every night. and it is very loud. All rooms are viewing the pool and the stage so you hear all the activities taking place outside, even if you are tied and want to sleep.
Air conditioner is very loud and even if you swich it off you can hear it from the room next to yours
Meals are very poor
