Great Hotel, Sky bar, Spa, Restaurant and pool. We were a little disappointed with our hotel room. No bidet in an otherwise good bathroom (a must in hot climate). Our room was on the first floor corner with restricted sea view that left us slightly disappointed. Would we recommend this Hotel- Yes, just request a higher floor!

Things I Didn’t Like
1.Refrigerator Issues – The in-room refrigerator didn’t keep drinks cold. We solved this by bringing our own cooler and filling it with ice each day. Unfortunately, the hotel doesn’t provide ice, have an ice machine, or even sell ice.
2.Weak Air Conditioning – The A/C blows air, but very lightly. Even with the thermostat set to the lowest setting, the room never got truly cold.
3.Low-Quality Towels – For a four-star hotel, the towels were disappointing. They felt cheap, as if they came from a bargain store.
4.Bed Design – The beds aren’t attached to the wall. If you’re traveling as a couple, expect the bed to slide around the room.
5.Restaurant Experience Unknown – I didn’t eat at the hotel restaurant, only the free breakfast that came with my upgraded room.

Things I Liked
1.Breakfast Variety – The breakfast offered a good variety of items.
2.Spacious Shower – The shower was large and very comfortable.
3.Daily Housekeeping – Our room was cleaned every day and stocked with fresh (though still cheap) towels.
4.Balcony View – We had a balcony with a beautiful beach view.
5.Prime Location – Just a two-minute walk to the beach and about ten minutes to shops and restaurants.
6.Nice Pool – A good alternative if you don’t feel like going to the beach.

Other Notes
•Parking – Shaded parking is a big plus, but you need to reserve a spot. Otherwise, you’ll be parking in the hot sun.
•Staff – Friendly and polite. No complaints

Rude staff

The staff needs to be sent on service minded training. Grumpier staff I haven’t seen in a long time.
Further, they will not open a bottle for you and tell you it’s not allowed in a very bad way. They will not lend you glasses and again they will tell you that in a very rude way.
If it wasn’t for the excellent food in the restaurant I would have rated this place even lower.

Good Reception with friendly staff, but we were given a broken key for the room and then got blamed for breaking it which was rather annoying. We were booked for a 3 night stay, but left after 1 night which incurred a full nights penalty payment. Pool is not adequate, the picture they use is for the Spa which was not open while we were there, and it is separate from the hotel over the road behind a corrugated metal fence and a locked gate which we were given another key for, rooms are basic to say the least, and the Hotel is in the middle of nowhere, nothing around about. The Restaurant on the other hand is pretentious, with nothing really on offer for lunch, even a salad is a 'salt fish ensalada' for around 22 Euros, and the staff seemed a bit aloof. In contrast, the breakfast was very poor. The hotels saving =grace was a very well kept beach nearby, but 25 Euros for 2 beds and a brolly.

Nice hotel but could be better.

The hotel is very nice. The room had a balcony with an amazing sea view and the was spacious. There was a drying rack on the balcony to hang my bathing suit after a swim at the beach. The restaurant had great food and service. However, I asked for a double bed and not two single beds put together. The front desk staff said they saved me a room with a double bed. However, it was two single beds made up together. They should be clear if they don’t have double beds. The room was also right under the sky bar and spa, which could be noisy. I asked for another room and moved to the 2nd floor with two single beds. I didn’t want the buffet breakfast, but asked if I could get a small breakfast at the hotel. I was told by the front desk staff that I could, but all you can get is coffee and croissant and they didn’t have any croissants the first day. I ate breakfast out every morning for around 5 euros ( including a waffle with fruit one day, omlette another day, and a fried egg with toast another day) which is better than paying 15 euros at the hotel for the buffet. They should offer alternatives for breakfast. I did have coffee and a croissant on my last morning. It was 5 euros, which is more expensive than nearby restaurants charge for just that. Also, I asked for ice and I could buy a drink with ice or get ice from store. The ice I bought melted after two days in mini fridge. Also, the hotel is beachfront at a great beach but doesn’t provide any chairs or umbrellas for guests.

Nice small Hotel

Our second stay at the Hotel Meridional. Friendly welcome. The hotel is small but sits in a perfect location only a few metres from the beach and very short walk to several restaurants/bars. It is about a 10/15 minute walk into the centre of Guardamar. The rooms are fairly small but adequate. We were in 303 on third floor. My Daughter was in 112 which looked like it had been recently refurbished and was more comfortable but didnt have a sea view. There is a small pool with some jets. Breakfast was very nice. Nice roof bar with great views. Parking available but is 16 euros per night. All in all a nice hotel in a great location but perhaps reaching a point where the rooms need full modernisation.

Stayed one night off season. Room was small for two people but comfortable beds and bathroom. Great location right in front of the beach. Parking was easy and free since i stayed off season, however hotel offers onsite parking for an affordable price at 8€. A short walk on the beach takes you to the boardwalk where there are restaurants and bars.
Friendly front desk staff, the room I was given had a strong cigarette smell and I was immediately moved to another room with better view. Unsure that would be possible during the busy summer season. Make sure you check if you want a non-smoking room.

Adequate for a 1 night stay.

Receptionist was rude on arrival. I had emailed before I arrived to say I did NOT want to have a room nea the lifts or entertainment noise which they answered. I was allocated room 103 which was right next to the lift. I was then allocated room 112 above the noisy party on the second night. No sound proofing so you could hear everyone flush their toilets, have a shower, walk around, opening cupboards etc. Very noisy. Hair in the bath that wasn't mine. Partial sea view which was good. Food in the restaurant limited choice at 30 euros before drinks that was for the main course I believe. All the other receptionists were absolutely fine. Original receptionist didn't give me the wifi code so had to go down. It didn;t work and she kept telling me it was the right code and it wasn't. Just hassle you don't need on holiday.

We booked 3 x double rooms with sea views. One of the rooms wasn’t ready for us we changed to another room and stayed there. Another room had a leak from the air conditioning into the bathroom again we changed rooms. The last room had no electricity in the morning as the kettle blew the electricity it took an hour before it was sorted. The location is perfect and the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

All was good. Clean and air-conditioned rooms. Great rich breakfast.
Reception 24/7, all good English speaking.
Nice comfortable dining zone at the first floor.
A bit expensive menu, but justified by “gourmet touch”: dishes are not simple in their recipes and decorations. Some of them - too much complicated with ingredients which in fact add nothing to taste, so as for my preference, better simplier but cheaper (I am not gourmand).
Sea beach (thin sand), clean, located next to hotel. Sea was very wavy, very shallow bottom.

This is a nice hotel, right on the beach in Guardamar. The rooms are small-ish, but very well designed and pleasantly furnished. We had a great view of the beach.
The front desk staff was excellent: professional, friendly, helpful.
The breakfast buffet is definitely worth the money.

Very nice hotel

Lovely hotel right on the beach, with pool and jacuzzi spa (costs extra but nobody told me that!). The staff were very friendly apart from the woman who checked me in as she was very abrupt in telling me my friend could not come to my room, help me with my bags etc I was clear my friend had her own place to stay but we were made to feel like we were trying to cheat in some way! The other desk staff were really accommodating and helpful, which made up for the rocky start.

Although Covid19 practices were in place they didn’t get too much in the way of us enjoying our stay. All the staff were very friendly and we would strongly recommend the hotel.

Great location Directly opposite the beach with a short pleasant stroll to the restaurants and bars. There are two restaurants at this hotel. We ate in both which are of good quality. The reputed Skybar was closed as were the local cafes and bars. On the outskirts of town so a 20 minute walk to any signs of life. The hotel itself had a modern clean feel to it but lacked atmosphere. Reception staff very friendly. Rooms need soundproofing.

Firstly, I would like to say that I had read reviews of this hotel and seen a number of poor comments about hotel staff. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised to find that the staff were in fact friendly and helpful throughout our stay and enjoyed chatting to guests. That was until we came to check out, when we met the (male) manager for the first time. Unbelievably, this man has a position where he deals with the public! For no reason at all (other than to impress his female colleagues?) he was rude to the point of being utterly unbearable and kept us waiting for around 15 minutes for a simple check out procedure with no queries or outstanding items. Never known such treatment in our frequent and regular travels around the world.

We went to this hotel as a family wedding was being held there. It was beautiful. The setting, the atmosphere and views just made the whole experience wonderful. The wedding meal at the hotel was fabulous. The hotel has a Michelin starred restaurant and the food and service was amazing. My one area for improvement would be the breakfast coffee machine. It looks dated and totally needs replaced. Other than that one minor detail, we loved our stay at this hotel.

Nice hotel but town pretty dead in October!

We visited this hotel for a couple of nights in mid October. It is actually a block back from a nice long sandy beach with some grass in front of it. It could perhaps be described as more of a “boutique” hotel, relatively small but nicely decorated. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful and we were able to park on the road rather than pay the extra charge for the car park. We were lured to the hotel by the lovely pictures of a hot tub and pool but were very disappointed with both of these. The pool looked a great deal smaller in reality but guess that is pretty normal and there was a 10 euro charge each for the hot tub so didn’t bother to go in that either. Incidentally, there was also a 12 euro charge for two loungers on the beach!

Our room was a little smaller than the norm but plenty big enough for the two of us. It did have a nice big bed, a fridge, balcony, large walk in shower and the usual assortment of toiletries. Towels were newish and fluffy and bed linen very crisp and clean. There was no tea and coffee provided in the room which we are always disappointed by but guess this is more of a British thing.

We had breakfast included (10 euros if not) and there was a good choice including a few hot dishes. As I am a Coeliac I asked whether the scramble egg was gluten free (sometimes they put flour in it!) and the waiter came out with a plate of freshly cooked for me which was nice of them. Great location overlooking the beach but too far from shops and free parking is an issue during July and August. The Sky Bar was overpriced and had a small selection of drinks. Pool area is small so slim chance of a sun bed when you want one. Still a lovely hotel and would go again out of high season

A very welcoming hotel with attentive staff. Very comfortable beds. We even got a free upgrade to a full sea view. Lovely breakfast although people were allowed to smoke which was slightly off putting. Could do with free parking and more comfy chairs on the balcony. We would highly recommend it and will be back. If you want a great sea view ask for room 407.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel was spotless and the swimming pool and area were perfect. The only downfall was it was a bit noisy as we were on the first floor, we could hear the voices fron yhr bar/reception. The walls were very thin which meant you could hear everything from the neighbouring rooms. But it did not spoil our enjoyment of our holiday. Well done and we will be back next year.

Nice hotel, near to beach

We chose this hotel as we needed an overnight stop, having flown into Alicante/Elche airport late in the evening. Lovely position opposite the beach, although because it was December we were unable to use the outdoor pool. The hotel was a very good choice.

El hotel está bien situado y está reformado. Las habitaciones son cómodas y se agradece tener un balconcito. Nos gustó mucho el sky bar y los cocktails y el servicio era muy bueno. El personal de recepción muy agradable y atento pero el de cafetería muy borde. Fuimos a preguntar para poder desayunar sin ir al buffet y nos mandaron a un sitio a sentarnos que era como una sala de estar (en la que no estaba preparada para atender para comer porque eran mesas bajas) y estuvieron sin traernos la carta ni hacernos caso hasta que decidimos irnos. Era como o tomas buffet o no me interesa que estés aquí. Muy mala sensación. Encontramos opciones de desayuno cerca muy buenas.

Bra mindre hotell med trevlig personal. Rent och snyggt överallt. Takbar som är väl värd att besöka flera gånger. Hotellet ligger mycket nära bra bad, solstolar och en Chirinqito. Vi valde balkong med havsutsikt den här gången och var mycket nöjda. Rummen är något små och lyhörda men fräscha och bra sängar och badrum. Många bra restauranger i närheten.

Flott hotell meg utmerket service, rett ved strand

Flott hotell rett på stranden.
Hotellet hadde gode tilbud med spa og god mat, og rett ved stranden.
Her kan du gå kilometervis på stranden begge veier.
Hyggelig og service innstilt personale.
Rommene er litt små ellers er dette en meget god opplevelse.

No sorprendió que el spa era de pago , cuando nadie y en la web nos avisaron , y encima nos digo que eran 7€ y la realidad fue que nos cobró 17 por 2= 34€, algo que nos disgustó bastante

Het hotel is erg gehorig op de gangen, geluid weerkaatst enorm de kamer in.
Op kamer 303 kwam de toilet lucht van een andere kamer in, misschien via de airco?

Very friendly sfaff on the front desk.

Fantastisk beliggenhet, kun noen få meter fra stranden. Veldig hyggelig betjening. Det eneste som var virkelig dårlig, var frokosten. Kun en av 5 dager var de varme rettene varme. Lite utvalg i tillegg. Det er nok en god idé å spise frokost et annet sted.
Sky Baren er veldig bra med topp utsikt over havet. Bra betjening der også.

El hotel está bien, no como para 4 estrellas ( las fotos están muy bien tomadas) tiene un solo ascensor que es muy pequeño y generalmente está lleno, hay que esperar hasta 15 minutos para poder utilizar. El aire acondicionado le falta enfriar más. En nuestro cuarto teníamos un pared de un baño de otra habitación y se oía cada vez que lo usaban. Nosotros pagamos el parking y menos mal porque es muy difícil encontrar donde aparcar cerca. El restaurante la comida no estaba mal, pero muy costosa en comparación con otros lugares. No pagamos pensión en el hotel y menos mal porque con lo que cuesta el desayuno de una persona puedes comer bien en otro sitio. La piscina muy pequeña y tienes que llegar temprano porque luego no consigues lugar. Los empleados muy amables. La ubicación muy cerca de la playa. Se encuentra lejos del área comercial.
