This hotel is underrated in many ways. The rooms are completely renovated, and I actually love how they preserve the \"classic\" style of a hotel in many ways when it comes to cleaning (not like those that pretend to be ecological just to save a buck).

The pictures on this listing should be updated as it's much better than depicted here. Also, as the reviews so say, the staff in the hotel is great.

Lovely hotel clean tidy shower nice . Breakfast 20 euros too expensive for my pocket . You can lot of noise from outside cars and motorcycles exhaust to loud . Nice garage to park motorcycle at a cost of 20 euros a night but worth that for piece of mind staff friendly. The rendering outside on level 4 needs to be addressed as it’s not safe !

Hotel was convenient to walk from the bus station in
Torrevieja if you were flying into Alicante Airport with a destination of Torrevieja. Beach was close by.
Room has no kettle. Pillow could be upgraded.

Shower was excellent, staff were great, pity the bar was not open but there was a bar in the pool area open til 8. Short walk to beach and restaurants etc. Bit noisy in the front of the hotel at night as the dustbin men seem to come to empty bins several times in the middle of the night. Otherwise great location, nice clean hotel with lovely staff.

Enjoyed our stay, but potential to be better.

Hotel is ideally located for the beach with a great local bar just a few yards away and a great little pastry cafe round the corner. The staff were very friendly and the room was cleaned to a good standard daily. As we stayed in May, the hotel bar and pool were never open. There was also noise from traffic or services (e.g bins being emptied) in the early morning, so get a room on a higher floor if possible.

Gym was abit dated, duck tape around some of the cushioned support areas, wobbly.

Bed very large and comfortable, rooms ok and did what they did, bar not open and pool drained I suppose the hotel getting ready for summer season, but overall a good looking and clean hotel. I definitely would stay again and reasonably priced. Staff very helpful and courteous.

Very Good location. Staff friendly and helpful. On entering room I found cotton wool pads and hair clip from previous occupant. Floor brushed but not mopped at any time so feet prints evident. WiFi only worked on 2 days. Air Conditioning was weak. Not cool or strong enough. Hard to sleep. Bed comfy and cleaning staff friendly. Rooms could do with some freshening up regarding paint but shower was good and powerful.

Hotel is perfectly located in Torrevieja, just a few minutes walk to the beach, shops and numerous restaurants and ice cream parlours. The Hotel itself is pretty basic “no frills” but extremely clean and staff are all very welcoming. Breakfast was pretty basic.

Hotel is located very close to the beach but also close to shops, restaurants. The location was very good. Staff was not welcoming at all. The safe, phone and sink plug was not working, when we reported it I was asked to crawl underneath the sink and pull a cable tie, we was told we could use there safe rather than fix our own and they didn’t d not attempt to fix the phone. I informed him we was unhappy and then we was allocated another room. It made it hard work due to having to move again.The staff never made any effort to speak to us. I will not stay there again.

The toilet seat was stained yellow and the lid was broken. Grout in the bathroom was all full of mold. The room was dirty and behind the nightstands there were rolls of hair and dust. I’ve asked the receptionist for an extra pillow, she went for the pillow cases, and even after asking many time she bever brought it to us. The vending machines worked only on coins and they had none for change. They had no water we could buy and being to the room. We were stuck in the garage as nobody would pick up the intercom to open the gate. It was a total disaster. I would never go back or recommend this hotel.

The central location is perfect for a visit to Torrevieja, and it is easy walking distance to restaurants, shops, and the beach areas. The room was clean and comfortable with excellent air conditioning. The WiFi signal was good too. The parking on site is also very convenient. I would definitely recommend this hotel in Torrevieja.

We originally booked and paid for two nights but only stayed the one night - the balcony was covered in thick builders dust and that had gone into the rooms - so not cleaned beforehand - we realize that the pool area was closed (although we were not told this previously ) but there were builders ropes overhanging our balcony so we left . We did relay this to the hotel receptionist

booked in for a 3 night new year break and was absolutely disgusted to find out AFTER we had booked and paid that the restaurant was SHUT new years eve and new years day after breakfast ( was not told this before we booked)
was told there was to be a party new years eve in the bar with music, food etc only to find that there was one guy behind the bar playing a continuous cd. NO FOOD NOTHING.

Few frills but great value for money

I stayed here at very short notice and had very low expectation for the price. It exceeded all expectations. Sure, the place is a very few frills place, but great value for money. The room was spacious, the bed big and comfortable, and was well decorated. The only thing I’d say is that it needed the walls breaking up with some sort of hanging (photo or art). At €7.50 for breakfast, it’s a steal. Recommended

I would not stay here again, on checking in the staff at reception were not that friendly, all she said was this is your room key take the lift to the 7th floor,
that was as much as she said, in the pool bar i asked for a coffee with milk and a glass of beer, the girl sitting on a chair behind the counter said we have no milk,,,,She wasn't that far from the kitchen but would not go and get it so i didnt buy anything, loss of a sale there,
room was very basic, bed was uncomfortable and my wife had a pain on her shoulder after the three nights there and had to get physiotherapy when we got back home, very basis shampoo in the bathroom in was was like a mayonnaise packet, door would not close in the bathroom. When i looked at the room information sheet it said on it that the TV had BBC world news and CNN and one other english channel but could not get it on the TV so i rang reception to ask how to get the english channels working she said we have no english channels ..The room was not cleaned on the sunday ,,, overall not a hotel i would not rate,, at 82.00 a night room only its not cheap but the hotel was like a cheap Inn..

The hotel was what id expected. It was clean and sheets and towels were changed daily. There was a perfectly good pool which we used although not much. There were a number of facilities we chose not to use. We used the hotel as a base. The weather was hot so obviously we were outside alot.

The hotel is standard.
Good bed and location.
Shower was nice, but like the sink, it takes ages to drain, so you're standing in a wet puddle when you get out.
Dust in places you wouldn't normally expect (behind tv - was trying to use the plugs)
Safe in room, worked fine
TV had no English stations (even though it explains how to make it English the settings are different)
AirCon in room was ok (we left it on using the second room card all day when we left so room was cool when we returned) (settings for AirCon were always outdated like TV instructions)
Cleaners come to clean the room anytime between 9am & 12pm (unless you have the don't disturb sign on door) otherwise they just barge in.
Receptionists weren't very friendly.
Pool was basic, got cleaned every so often, just enough sunbeds for everyone.

The hotel is in a great location! Restaurants, the beach, market, and stores all within a short 5 min walk.
Water park and shopping center is 25min walk or 7€ in a taxi.

Clean, comfortable, but very basic rooms. Breakfast was unpalatable & their basic ‘English’ breakfast was very oily streaky bacon & tasteless scrambled egg. No baked beans and mushrooms 😱!! Paid for breakfast but ate elsewhere! Ok if you are looking for cheap & cheerful but not ok if you are looking for more upmarket hotel accommodation during longer stays. I was there for only 4 nights so acceptable. However I will not stay there again

Only stayed for one night while passing through Torrevieja. receptionist was nice and helpful after i discovered a misake on my booking. Paid for parking at the hotel which was 12 euros for the night. The streets are very narrow and crowded around the hotel so didnt want to take a chance. I think the star rating is corrct for the hotel but we were surprised at the standard in the double room we had. It was basic but clean and tidy and the bathroom was fairly new and of a good standard. Double bed was massive. We had a room on the first floor which looked out onto the pool. Near to the gym, which was of a good standard with plenty of equipment. Didnt use the hotel restaurant as we ate out for each meal. I think it was a decent enough hotel for what we wanted, and would probably stay again if we came back to the area.

Solid medium budget range hotel. Good helpful staff .light on frills but fully functional. Clean and tidy all essentials available. But some things you do need to ask for as they are not provided as standard.
Surrounding area iss noisey late at night with fun goers in the town. This was tolerable but I would be annoyed if I stayed more than a few days. Overall I would use again.

We choose this hotel because it was pet friendly and we had our small dog with us. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good and the pool area was great. Right in the centre and we could walk everywhere. Be aware parking is limited though at peak times. Otherwise a nice weekend

Hotel is very accessible for all but the wheelchair going to struggle like me
Tip:
Come to Torrevieja by bus rather than taxi
bus every two hour leaves and coast 7 euro but taxi 50 to 70 euro
Buy and shop from supermarket rather than shops
Banks only open Mondays-Fridays 08.30-14.30 (first thing in the morning much better)

Stayed here before, really nice and very clean, got room 123 which was perfect, only let down was the main road outside, even with balcony door shut could still hear the traffic especially first thing in the morning, will stay again but ask for room away from traffic if possible, staff very polite and always helpful.

Not good. The porch of the hotel fell down, causing noise and inconvenience when clearing up. One of the neighbouring rooms, the residents did not seem to go out, and were constantly arguing in raised voices. The hotel tried to charge for breakfasts I didn't have.

Be aware and check what you are being charged for. I was charged for extra brekfast, cheking in alone and travelling alone! I noticed this a day before my departure. When fixing it, they first tried to explain it with taxes.
Finally, by being persistant, they suddenly noticed their misstake and 30€:s was refunded to my creditcard.
Vegetables were totally missing at brekfast and it is Spain!!! Brekfast in nearby cafés is probably cheaper and better. Othervise nothing to complain about, nice and tidy hotel, very well and centrally situated.

Easy walking distance to old and new marina. Handy for restaurants and shops.
Room was large and very comfortable with terrace (swimming pool being refurbished when we stayed but a very good size)

Room 308a - Couple of things to consider - take your own kettle for hot drinks and the bathrooms are open plan with toilet behind frosted glass doors.

Worth taking an eye mask as fire alarm constantly flashes every 30 seconds and fire escape light above door does pollute the room at night.

We had a great stay and would return in the future.

The Hotel Fontana Plaza is 'almost' there.
A few finishing touches and we would increase my rating to 5/5.
The Hotel is just lacking the in-room facilities and finishing touches you would expect to see in similar hotels
eg, limited complimentary toiletries, no tea/coffee making facilities, bare walls in the rooms, ironing board/iron etc. The only place to get a drink was from a vending machine in the corridor.
We didn't have much interaction with the staff, so can't really comment, but check-in/out was efficient and the reception desk was always staffed.
We went 'off-season' and the pool was being repaired at the time, but they did warn us in advance.
Overall, we would recommend the Hotel Fontana Plaza.

The pool, in summer, closes at 7pm. The shower in the room is useless, there is no rubber mat or holding bar to avoid the ice ring that becomes with water and soap. The cafeteria only opens during weekend. The room has a mini bar with a price list, but the mini bar is completely empty.

Big disappointment was that the bar and pool didn't open until June. This was not made clear when booking.
The hotel has recently been renovated and is clean and comfortable, but not the same as it used to be with entertainment downstairs. Car parking secure but expensive at 12 Euros per day. Ideally located with friendly and efficient staff.
