It is also easy to walk to the train and bus station. The only thing to keep in mind is that if your room is located on the upper floors, it is a walk up no lift.

Very nice property. Room was good, however due to being on main road, traffic noise was a problem with windows open. However when windows were closed the noise was not an issue, but the room became quite warm. Great location to town centre and bus and train stations. Overall a very good stay.

Close to train station and downtown area. The room was clean and comfortable but very tiny. During our three night stay two nights we were awakened at 2am to guitar playing, singing, yelling. The third night was quiet so we were able to sleep.

A shame the spa bath wasn’t working as this was one of the reasons I booked the room (having just climbed Ben Nevis) and there was lots of noise in the foyer early morning- the walls / ceiling are thin so noise travels. To be fair I used some of the free ear plugs provided and these helped! Lots of positives though - plenty of parking, thoughtful touches including fresh coffee and comfy seating area in the suite. Spotlessly clean and easy check in and out.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Maclean Guest House. We were able to easily walk there from the train station and to then walk to the downtown area where all the shops, cafes, etc were located. The room was quite large and exceptionally clean. It had everything we needed and then some! We highly recommend this place and would stay here again without hesitation.

Kind hosts but cannot recommend
The owners of the guest house were very kind and tried hard to make things right for us, but this stay just wasn’t for us. The building itself is very loud with creaks, water dripping, and once people move about, you can hear every footstep. It’s also on a main road through town where people drive faster than I expected and there’s near constant traffic. There’s no A/C so if you open the windows, there’s the constant road noise and the risk of midges as there are no screens. They provide earplugs which is kind but wasn’t enough for this light sleeper.
After a cold, rainy day, we came back to find the hot water wasn’t working in our room. They did their best to help and make it right but it was rough to not be able to take a hot shower.
I recommend staying near High Street, off Belford Road. Or stay elsewhere as there isn’t much going on in Fort William - even the locals said most folks stay in Oban.
I will say that the room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable!

People were queuing to get in at 3pm. Eventually we were given a key and told to find our room on top floor. There was no instruction book in the room, and we had no further contact with anyone during our 3 nights stay.

No breakfast provided, but there is plenty of coffee and tea, plus a small fridge—we got breakfast stuff at Tesco the night before (5 minute walk) and it was grand. Highly recommended.

This was an amazing place to stay. Mark was so very kind and understanding when we were stuck in traffic and were a bit late. The room had a ceiling fan and the window opened which was amazing for some air. The room and bathroom were updated and very neat and clean. Wonderful place to stay!

Parking was very convenient. The location was very central to everything. If we ever end up in fort william again that’s the only place we will stay.

Walking distance of other area shopping and restaurants. Very clean room. A little noisy from the street with car traffic, so if sensitive to that they do provide ear plugs. This was a newish building and the sound traveled a lot. The people that stayed in building during our visit were not loud but noise traveled too much and disrupted us and our sleep. Beds were not comfortable either. Location was a easy walk to town and staff was helpful upon our arrival. Would not recommend.

Everything was wonderful. The only thing that would have made it better is a mirror over the desk in order to blow dry and style your hair. There are no electrical outlets in any bathroom in Scotland! So a mirror in the room is a must. But other than this, the room was fabulous.

Two miles after you pass through the village of Onich take the turning to your left sign-posted for the Corran Ferry. This car-farry ploughs back and forth across the loch every thirty minutes from 0630 hours to 2130 hours.
After the two minute crossing, you disembark and the Inn is directly in front of you. From the north take the A82 through Fort William and seven miles after you leave the town you will see the right turn for the Corran ferry.
