Advertised as 4 Star don’t believe it no wardrobe just 4 hangers attached to a pipe. When booked no mention of the bar and restaurant being closed. Breakfast in a bag the bananas were black think they had become very cold other stuff only just acceptable.Definitely will not stay again. Only redeeming factor was the staff who were pleasant.

We booked to stay in a suite which was a great choice. Beautiful, newly renovated and well appointed.
The bed was comfortable, lovely large shower with toiletries and fluffy towels, a neat kitchenette with fridge coffee machine kettle and microwave also fully stocked with plates and cutlery.
The restaurant was closed due to renovations but breakfast was served to our room.
With booking a suite we had a dining area and lounge which made all the difference.
It would be easy to spend a week here and it not cost too much with having all the facilities.

The super king size bed was incredibly comfortable and the room was really cosy. Went up to Fort William from Edinburgh for a birthday trip and had a hike round Glencoe. The cosiness and heating in the room meant we were able to warm up quickly when returning to the hotel.

We were also left a lovely bottle of bubbly and a birthday card! Thank you so much for this! Small details make such a big difference<3

We asked for a room with twin beds, got a queen and a pull out, lumpy sofa bed with no quilt. Asked the desk for a quilt, they said just get one out of the closet…well there was no closet in the room. It was in the hall stuffed with stained quilts with the apparent clean duvets on the bottom shelf almost level with the floor. Ew!!
Curtains were off track, toilets took 5 button pushes before it would flush. Sign on the shower said to place the mat close to the door so as the water would not enter the main room (like who cares if you fall on the slippery tile, just don’t get the carpet wet). Base if sink not on correctly. No area to place our toiletries in the bathroom.

The apartments are high up a hill with great view of Loch Linnhe. The apt kitchen was well equipped and included a washer dryer. Excellent dining options are a short walk, as are interesting and useful stores. Fort William is central to many of the things the Highlands has to offer.

This hotel was great. It’s located at the end of the main drag, which means when you arrive by train or bus, you get to enjoy a scenic walk through the charming town. The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was delicious, and the room was clean and comfortable.

We enjoyed staying at the Garrison. The staff were outstanding and breakfast was delicious and free! They had free snacks in the room and in the evening at the bar. I highly recommend. The only neg was the housekeeping put the clean towels they were going to put into the rooms onto the floor outside of the rooms! But did I die? Nope! I dried off on one of the towels and kept on traveling! I would definitely stay here again. Walk to dinner , overlooking the waterfront, superb friendly staff and free snacks.

Very disappointed - kettle in room didn’t work and it was a struggle for the staff to find a replacement, was not a double bed but two singles put together. Great location but apartment was highly overpriced at about $500 per night with basic necessities such as a simple toilet paper holder and laundry capsules. No dishwasher either. If you stay in the apartments you have to fend for yourselves. Incredibly expensive for what it’s worth.

The online photos did not accurately reflect the apartments, which were actually in a separate building located about a three-minute drive from the main hotel. While the bedding was clean, the rest of the apartment appeared rougher than the pictures suggested. The overall value did not justify the price. Additionally, at check-out, I was unexpectedly informed of a £55 cleaning fee, which had not been disclosed during booking or check-in. Needless to say, I would not choose to stay at this property again.

Customer Service Seriously Lacking

If you reserve a suite, it doesn’t mention that it’s in a separate building and there is no elevator. You have to walk, drag your bags behind the main building on pavement that has potholes and carry your bags up 1 or 2 flights depending what floor you are on. They will help you if you ask.
My sister-in-laws room in the main building, (which was less money), had breakfast included. My suite did not. Hotels.com says you can get a “to-go” breakfast for £10. They told me they never heard of this and would not honor it. The regular breakfast cost £17.50 per person. I must say it was an excellent breakfast.
Both rooms stated that they had king size beds. The room in the main building had a “super-king” and my suite had a “king”. The “super-king” is a regular king size bed in the US and the “king” is a queen size in the US. When mentioning all of these discrepancies to the employees at reception, not one of them offered an apology or claimed any responsibility. When I asked to speak to the manager, they didn’t offer to alert them and instead said they would mention the problems. They did give us one complimentary breakfast for two.
When checking out, I told them the microwave didn’t work in my room. The very rude employee said “you have to pull it out from the wall and check the back”. Really!! No apology?! How am I supposed to know this?? Put a sign up then!
The hotel had some good amenities including, free drinks and snacks in the room and specialized coffees in the restaurant.

Must Love Dogs

The hotel is a block away from the official end of the Westhighland Way trail and offers clean sheets, hot showers and amazing breakfasts! The staff was great, the facility new and clean, the beds comfortable. The hotel is very dog friendly. I have allergies to dogs and am sometimes super allergic in hotel rooms were pets have been but was fine sleeping one night with the window open.

Great property! Had a great time and stunning surrounding areas. Staff was great and the rooms were comfortable and clean. I enjoyed my morning coffee with a short walk to the Loch. Quiet and great for kids.

Only complaint is that the parking lot is tight and we had to back up a few times to get through the alley…and that is a very small complaint.
Great home base to explore the Highlands.

Very convenient location for outdoor adventures as well as exploring Fort William.

Hotel is fine, but it's not that nice from the outside. Basically a big parking lot with street lights on all the time. It's also not that central. Fort William is not the nicest town, but we were finishing the West Highland Way walk so we had no choice but to spend the night there. The hotel was good enough.

It was a little difficult for us to find, but once we did, we checked in without issue. I knew ahead of time there was no elevator, but there were several flights of exterior stairs. We had an odd back door that opened to a straight drop down and view of a wall. Parking was very easy on site. Definitely walkable with places to eat and shop!

Two miles after you pass through the village of Onich take the turning to your left sign-posted for the Corran Ferry. This car-farry ploughs back and forth across the loch every thirty minutes from 0630 hours to 2130 hours.

After the two minute crossing, you disembark and the Inn is directly in front of you. From the north take the A82 through Fort William and seven miles after you leave the town you will see the right turn for the Corran ferry.
