Let’s itself down!

Stay here often for work due to proximity to the Airbus facility.
Service is random, food can be random, price can be random and I’d rate the facilities poor due the broken air conditioning (+2 years), tvs are very small and linen / towels are average!
Opening windows only lets in the mosquitoes which frequent the riverside location.
Positives are the location for Airbus and the ferry port outside.

It is right on the Elbe River with easy cheap service to the Hamburg harbor and downtown area. The cruise and container ships pass your window and if you like to stay in your room you have a beautiful view of their comings and goings. The Rilano Hotel is my favorite of all Hamburg Hotels. The breakfast is sumptuous and the staff very friendly. We had a wonderful stay! Thank you!

Terrible choice overall

Avoid this hotel if possible. Service is terrible, rooms are noisey with poor sound insulation between rooms. Cigarette smoke infiltrates non-smoking rooms. Breakfast is over-priced and unappetizing. It's hard to get to, out of the way and has almost no shops of other places near to purchase basics. During the Covid crisis - everything (spa, bike rental, outside bar, room service) was unavailable \"due to Corona\". Only plus - it's near to te Airbus factory. But not near to the spotting mound unless you have a car.

Plenty of empty rooms but want to charge extra 30 Euros for riverside room. In the middle of nowhere and hard to get to. Free Shuttle service at meaningless hours from 9pm to 11 pm Fri and Sat. So stingy and only allow one internet device at a time so I had to switch between phone and laptop. Expensive and subpar restaurant. Walking distance to nothing and no other decent restaurants around. 20 Euros for a Holiday Inn style breakfast buffet. Small and dusty rooms. Gym with no equipment. A few friendly staffs. One Euro in room drinks and beer. Free beer for passing up room cleaning but only one voucher per stay. Really? Then I just passed up one of my 2 days. Sorry I am no Greta Thunberg.

There are no places to eat or drink other than the hotel. You need to plan your trips into Hamburg accordingly so you don't miss the last ferry to the hotel. Otherwise it's an expensive cab ride. Good breakfast with lots of variety of things to eat. Good bar, but service was slow due to lack of staff.

really fun location

This was a family stay in a corner suite and everyone had a blast. Two bathrooms was convenient, the hotel is in great condition, friendly staff, good food. The ferry stops right outside and takes you to downtown Hamburg, super fun and convenient way to travel. We would definitely stay again, either for a family trip or a solo business trip.

Relaxing by the Elbe

I always try to stay there as I enjoy the tranquility of being by the river. Good food in the bar area and restaurant, both of which overlook the river, after a busy day.
Despite the distance into the centre of Hamburg, the various transport options are good and so is the availability of taxis. Reasonably priced weekend breaks are also on offer.

Handy to the ferrys, a great bar, no shops nearby

As this is an industrial area, there are no shops nearby, which was a small nuisance.
there are great parklands and trails that I made use of for my morning run.

the Ferry is extremely efficient, as is the bus service. A great bakery was found just a short walk away.

Lovely hotel

The Rilano is a lovely hotel, and we very much enjoyed our stay. It's a bit inconvenient that the ferry that stops at the hotel only runs until 8:40 pm or so; makes it hard to have dinner anywhere in Hamburg and get back to the hotel. But the hotel restaurant was excellent, too.

Great hotel for those travelling with dogs!!

This hotel is adjacent to AirBus so ideal for plane enthusiasts. It's near to main routes but quiet, at least at weekends. The location by the river is attractive and interesting.

The breakfast is brilliant but dinner could be better. It's ok but betrays the use of the freezer and the chef embellishes dishes with fruit without any understanding of the impact on the flavours. I think it could have been a weekend chef. With very little investment dinner could be much better.

Convenient Business Hotel for Aerospace

Out of the tourist centre, but smart, comfortable hotel, conveniently located for 'certain' companies. Free soft drinks were welcome. Only problem was that my colleagues bookings had been lost (independent bookings from different countries, so I am inclined to suspect the hotel systems) - but there was plenty of space, so no problem other than a a few minutes delay.

Overall, a great place for a reasonable price. Two things to mention: you should take the ferry in order to get into town (if you are not driving) and, if you are a heavy internet user, you should get ready to pay extra for that. Other than that, i really enjoyed everything from their service to food (i had breakfasts and a room service). I will definitely use the hotel if ever I need a room in Hamburg again.

Comfortable hotel with excellent Elbe views

The hotel stay was excellent, in a spacious room with comfortable bed, clean modern bathroom and amazing views of River Elbe and river traffic. Check in at reception was efficient. We enjoyed drinks and snacks at the bar, and relaxing drinks in the sunny gardens in 'beach huts for two', overlooking the Elbe, and all was served by friendly bar staff. Breakfasts had an amazing selection of hot and cold foods and beverages, everything you could want. The dinner menu was excellent, with a choice of buffet or a special 4-course preset menu or extensive a la carte. The food was delicious, beautifully cooked and presented, served by friendly efficient bilingual staff. A very enjoyable stay in a hotel with friendly professional staff.

This was a nice, new hotel, which is located a bit out of town. If you are planning to spend time in town, you have two options – take the boat (we did not do this, and regret it) or drive – and they both take about 20 minutes. The dock is next to the hotel, and with one hop to another boat, it lets you off right downtown which is very convenient.
The breakfast was great, and so was dinner – though the later was a little expensive. The room was very clean, plenty of room, and very relaxing. We had a room with a view of the river, and it was relaxing to watch the boats go by.
The only downside is there is nothing near the hotel – so be prepared for this.

The hotel is tucked away in an industrial estate and on approaching it does not look that appealing. However, once you enter the hotel, there is a comfortable atmosphere with friendly and welcoming staff who speak excellent English. The room was a good size and comfortable. Good breakfast and the food in the restaurant was of reasonable standard. The bar with views of the River Elbe is excellent.

Would recommend for business, particularly when working with Airbus, bit would also offer a good hotel for tourists to Hamburg. The ferry stop literally outside the hotel has good links to Hamburg. Getting to the hotel from the North, particularly if coming by taxi from the airport, go to Teufelsbrucker Platz ferry terminal. The ferry takes you to the front of the hotel in a few minutes and reduces the cost of the taxi.

I spend about a quarter of my life in hotel rooms and very happy to recommend.

Lovely location and a ferry ride to town

The Rilano is situated on the banks of the Elbe river right in front of a ferry stop. The ferry is very convenient and scenic and an inexpensive way of getting into town. The hotel is modern and in summer one ca sit outside and watch the boats go by. Service was good and the food quite good.

Excellent hotal in Hamburg. Downtown is about 30 minutes so, better if you have a car. It is close to Airbus plant and with the river at its back, quite nice. Restaurants are accessible on foot but, not very close. The hotel has its restaurant but, we didn't use it as we had a car and went to a nice sea food restaurant for dinner, an excellent tip from one of the hotel receptionists.
Good brakfast but, paid separately (19 euros).

Nice Hotel, but no wifi or room service

Although the Rilano is a bit removed from the center of Hamburg, the location on the South side of the city off the waterway was actually quite pleasant. The hotel is very clean and nicely decorated and the rooms (including the bathrooms) were clean and well maintained. My only complaints would be the lack of wifi (there are cables provided, but ours did not work). The hotel does provide internet as part of their tv system. The tv has a keyboard that allows guests to access the internet. However, I found the keyboard very finicky and difficult to use and would preferred wifi and the ability to utilize my own computer much better. Also, the restaurant and bar stop serving food at 10:00 p.m. and no room service is available. When I asked for a glass of Fanta, which was listed on the bar menu as 2 euros, I was told I would have to purchase the whole bottle for 15 euros and was encouraged to hit the gas station down the block or back into town, a 20 minute trip at minimum. A very frustrating experience.

Sited on the river elbe, this is a perfect setting for boating enthusiasts and relaxation. The boat station is right outside with a short trip into the main city. One stop across the river and there are buses frequently into to city. One ticket does boats buses and trains and is a real bargain!

The hotel was fantastic and the room on the river had a sensational view. The rooms are very comfortable but very basic and you need to ask for extra pillows. The location was great as it was very easy to catch the ferry into town. The only let down was the service of the staff at the front desk. They could not speak very good English and could not even recommend a good fish restaurant for us to eat at although we were in a seaside town. The breakfast was very good. Hamburg is not at all friendly to people with prams or wheelchairs so beware of that.

Great modern hotel situated very close to Airbus Hamburg. Staff were very friendly & efficient. A little out from the centre of town but this can be reached by bus or taxi. Tip for those coming from the airport. You can take bus 39 from there to Teufelsbrück which takes approx 1.15 hrs & then the ferry across to the hotel. The ferry will take no more than 3 minutes. Ferry stop is Rüschpark.

Free internet via cable in the room.

Wir hatten 2 Erwachsene und 1 Kind 12 Jahre einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt im Elaya Hotel. Ein tolles Zimmer mit Blick auf die Elbe und auf die Fähre, die dort alle 30 Minuten abfährt. Das Frühstück war richtig gut! Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Personal war freundlich und sehr zuvorkommend. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

Naja, Ausblick auf Fluss war leider durch Bäume/Hecken versperrt. Sollte man vielleicht dann auch erwähnen, wenn man mit Flussblick bucht. Badezimmer, vor allem Toilette war nicht sauber, Haare im Bett.
War leider nicht ganz so zufrieden wie 10 Tage zuvor. Hab das Hotel zur Zwischenübernachtung gebucht und bei meinem ersten Aufenthalt super zufrieden, daher erneute Buchung, leider etwas enttäuschend, vor allem was den Flussblick betraf.

Meine Frau und ich sind schon sehr viel in der Welt herumgereist, aber 4,5 Sterne haben wir hier an keiner Ecke gesehen. Ich weiß, das 4,5 Sterne hier 3 Sternen in Asien gleich kommen, aber dennoch hat es uns nicht überzeugt noch einmal buchen zu wollen. Wir hatten eine Suit gebucht. Aussicht war begrenzt, denn nur höher gelegene Suit haben über den seitlichen Balkon und aus den Zimmern den richtigen Elbblick. Die 101 mehr unverbaubaren Blick auf den Parkbereich und Bäume denn auf die Elbe. Bei 4,5 Sternen gehe ich auch von einer Klimaanlage aus. Zimmer sind NICHT klimatisiert, man bekommt bei Nachfrage unterschiedliche Aussagen. Vor allem das dieser Hinweis auf der Webseite stehen soll war nicht nachvollziehbar und tut er auch nicht. Letztlich bekamen wir einen billigen, nicht leisen Standventilator den man sich in Schlafzimmer stellen kann. Bei offnem Fenster war es leider durch überlaute Partyboote und Fährverkehr (Ist ja auch alles ok) schlecht möglich Ruhe zu finden. Der Boden, die Möbel im Zimmer und auch der Teppich sind schon ziemlich alt und fleckig. Das an das Schlafzimmer angrenzende Bad, es gibt noch eine zusätzliche Toilette am Eingang, macht es fast unmöglich den Partner in der Nacht durch die von außen zu bedienende Stadionbeleuchtung im Inneren dann zu stören oder aufzuwecken. Abstand Tür Bett ungefähr 50 cm. Für 280€ pro Nacht sollte man wirklich mehr erwarten dürfen. Da ist definitiv Nachbesserung angesagt. Frühstück war ok aber keine 4,5 Sterne. Schade.

Schon sehr oft da gewesen und immer genossen. Nach dem letzten Betreiberwechsel könnte auch gut hier und da noch ein Euro investiert werden.
Z.B. kein Safe mehr vorhanden, Fernseher nicht mehr zeitgemäß, Mini Bar leer, Abluft wohl defekt, es riecht stark nach Essen im Gebäude.
Wir werden dennoch gerne wieder kommen.

Ich habe einen tollen Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel verbracht und kann es absolut weiterempfehlen – besonders für Reisende mit Hund! Von der Buchung bis zur Abreise hat alles perfekt funktioniert. Mein Hund war herzlich willkommen, es gab genug Platz für Spaziergänge in der Umgebung, und das Hotelpersonal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Zimmer war sauber und komfortabel, und auch die allgemeine Atmosphäre im Hotel war sehr angenehm. Ein rundum gelungener Aufenthalt – wir kommen gerne wieder!

Das Zimmer war in keinem guten Zustand. Waschbecken Stöpsel hing fest, Duschkopfhalterung hing an der Stang oben fest-ließ sich nicht verschieben, viele Macken an den Wänden, Schimmel in der Dusche, Löcher in den Handtüchern, Gardinenhalterung halb abgerissen, Teppich voller Flecken.
Frühstück: keine gute Qualität beim Aufschnitt, Käse und Wurst biegt sich nach oben vor Trockenheit, Schimmeliger Frischkäse
Personal: nicht unfreundlich aber auch nicht besonders bemüht. Hätte man beim Checkout nach unserer Meinung gefragt, hätten wir das alles auch angesprochen. Leider hat man uns nicht mal gefragt, ob wir ein Parkticket hatten. An der Schranke erst gemerkt, mussten wir wieder zurück. Beim vorherigen Rilano konnte man ohne Schranke parken.
Fazit: wir kommen nur wegen dem guten Blick auf die Elbe und die Schiffe.

Im Großen und Ganzen ist das Hotel gut!
Fernseher funktionieren nicht und wenn man ein Zimmer mit bis zu einem 7 jährigen Kind bucht hat man NUR ein Doppelbett. Zustellbett ist nicht vorgesehen.

Gutes Frühstück mit frischen Bäckerbrötchen auch an den Weihnachtstagen. Frische und qualitativ gute Produkte. Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal.
Zum Frühstück könnte es eine Marmelade geben!

Leider sehr in die Jahre gekommen

Ich übernachtete in diesem Hotel bereits vor über 15 Jahren und war immer sehr begeistert von diesem Hotel (damals noch Golden Tulip bzw., The Rilano)
Leider ist mein letzter Aufenthalt wohl auch der letzte gewesen.
Die Lage des Hotels ist einer der größten Pluspunkte aber das reicht leider nicht mehr aus. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und absolut ausreichend im Angebot.
Nun zu den negativen Sachen:
Von 2 Fahrstühlen funktionierte leider nur einer, somit hatte man unglaublich lange Wartezeiten gehabt rund um die Uhrzeit wo man auschecken musste.
Der TV ging nicht (kein Empfang)
Auf Nachfrage teilte man mir mit das es wohl eine Störung gäbe bei allen TV‘s im Hause, diese wird man aber am Wochenende nicht mehr beheben können.
2 Tage ohne TV !!!
Der Flur zu den Zimmern roch unangenehm muffig und der Teppich hat seine besten Zeiten definitiv hinter sich. Auch in den Zimmern hatte der Teppich einige unschöne Flecken. Die Dusche war auch sehr abgenutzt im Zustand und die Zimmer Bar (im Preis inbegriffen), war der größte Witz.
Zwei stille Wasser im Tetra Pak auf dem TV Board stehend. Der Kühlschrank roch moderig und eine Temperatur konnte man im Zimmer auch nicht einstellen. Im Dezember eher unpassend. Man hat uns dann einen Radiator angeboten und auf‘s Zimmer gebracht, da es uns zu kalt war.

Alles in allem ist das Hotel leider nicht mehr Konkurrenzfähig für ein 4 Sterne Hotel im Umkreis von Hamburg. Schade, denn ich Übernachtete in Vergangenheit immer sehr gerne dort

Das Hotel liegt in einem Industrie-Gebiet,direkt an der Elbe und es ist sehr ruhig,direkt hinter dem Hotel hält die Fähre( Verbindung super)das Frühstück ist gut,das Abendessen ebenfalls,die Zimmer sind okay,der Ausblick auf die Elbe ist sehr schön,das Personal beim Frühstücken,denke es sind Ausbildungskräfte müsste etwas mehr beigebracht werden,

Skønt hotel. Ligger et stykke fra centrum, men med havnebussen lige ned foran hotellet er det ikke noget problem. Rengøring på værelser var super, og alle ansatte var søde og rare
