A great hotel located in Sannomiya. The staff were amazing - for example I had a minor issue with my shower, but within 10 minutes of reporting it someone arrived at my room and fixed it. In the UK (where I live) I’d have expected it would take until the next day to fix, so 10 minutes certainly exceeded my expectations ! In addition to Japanese, many staff spoke very good English. The staff also helped me send my luggage to my next hotel. Perfect service !
The hotel is located in the busy area of Sannomiya with easy walking distance access to restaurants, shops and train stations, as well as a nearby Family Mart and 7/11. There is a Don Quijote opposite the hotel and Ikuta Shrine is just a couple of minutes walk away. 10-20 minutes walk south takes you to China Town, Meriken Park or the Port area.
Relatively standard buffet breakfast, which outside of breakfast times offers free coffee. 3 combination washer/dryers on 2nd floor which accept cash, IC card and other payment methods. I didn’t use it but there is also a small gym on the 2nd floor. Like many hotels, the elevators require room keys to select a floor.
The rooms were pleasant, clean, relatively spacious, with mini-fridge and customizable air conditioning. My room had a very nice walk-in shower (no bath if that’s a concern, however that certainly wasn’t an issue for me as I prefer showers anyway.)
I’d most definitely recommend this hotel to anyone planning to stay in Sannomiya.

We love this hotel. My daughter and I stayed here last year and were delighted to return with my husband. The rooms are well-equipped, clean, and designed to be comfortable and functional. The view from rooms 1213 and 1214 was of the street below and looked out onto Mount Rokko.

The staff was excellent! Some of them spoke English. They were very helpful in getting us taxis, storing our luggage, shipping our luggage, and anything else we needed.

We used the laundry facilities, and the washer/dryers were great! The cost was 500 yen, which covered both washing and drying, as well as the detergent. I did have to use an extra drying cycle. The machines lock, and a timer displays the remaining time. That was helpful to know when to come back because someone else was using them, and also when to return to pick up your clothes.

We attended the evening's dessert around 8 PM. Last year, the desert was ice cream with toppings. This year, it was an ice cream float with flavors I had never seen in the United States.

My favorite part of the room was the long bathtub! The bathroom facilities were beautiful and of high quality. The beds were comfortable and had one feather pillow and one polyfiber filling in the other. There was enough room to walk around the two beds, which were pushed together. The refrigerator was a little small, but it worked for us. My husband loved the kettle so much that he bought one to take back home.

The price was very reasonable!

I wish I had stayed more than one night—I really loved this place. The bed was slightly softer than the typical Japanese hotel, which was a welcome break for my back. The shower was excellent, and there were loads of fantastic restaurants nearby to suit all budgets. The room offered more space than most budget hotels, but still came at a budget-friendly price. Highly recommended.

We booked this hotel for our last few days of a long trip to Japan annd we wanted to relax before our journey home….. and we were not disappointed . The location is a short walk from the train station was perfect. It is also located in the heart of the city with lots of bars and restaurants in the vicinity. In truth from a sightseeing perspective we were so centrally located that we walked everywhere… to the Harbour,Meriden Park both the Maritime & Military museums , to Kitano and to the variety of markets and shopping areas.
In the hotel the staff were super friendly and helpful. Coffe & drip tea free was available in the lounge area as was a bowl of ice cream and fruit in the evenings… in my opinion a very nice touch!!!
The rooms were spacious enough , towels toiletries and PJ’s are provided and more available if needed. As is common in most hotels in Japan other personal hygiene products , razors, hair brush, washcloth, toothbrush & paste etc available in the foyer
All in all we had a very very pleasant relaxed stay here

Value for money in Kobe.

I would highly recommend this hotel. Only a short walk to the JR station with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby as well as cultural areas to visit. The room was very large by Japanese standards with two very large beds a small sitting bench and a great bathroom with bath and shower in a wet room and a separate toilet and large vanity area. The room was modern and clean with a huge TV. Breakfast although limited was included and you could help yourself to free tea and coffee 24/7 and free ice cream was available every night. The price was great so I consider it great value for money.

L’albergo molto decente , c’è una backery se hai voglia di un caffè con dolcino . Difronte siamo andati a mangiare la carne di Kobe al ristorantino Plasir nell’albergo B2 la sera . Per me ottimo lo chef bravo e gentile . Dall’albergo prendi 2 treni per andare a vedere il castello bianco , la prima stazione a 6-7 minuti dall’albergo poi fai un transfer per il secondo treno . La stanza abbastanza grande con una doccia meravigliosa !! Il personale super disponibili a darti informazioni . Un ottimo hotel 3 stelle lo consiglio .

You check in and out with machines. You don’t even need to speak or have contact with the staff which is good and bad. Staff is courteous but only address you if you talk first
The area is super convenient to everything. Restaurants, shopping. Train and bus stations walkable as well. Shower/tib combo is super big. Would stay again.

Self check in and self check out was easy. You need to read signs and ask for water , etc. or grab your own amenities which is fine. Many eateries and shopping all around. Convenient and room good dize for Japan. Bathroom, Bathtub/shower very large compared to many hotels. I would go back.

I had arranged to meet an ex student in Japan who I hosted in Australia 25 years ago. I asked her to meet me at the hotel and to ask reception to call my room when she arrived. 30 minutes after the agreed time I went down to reception to find that she had been waiting half an hour because reception refused on security grounds to ring me in my room because they were not allowed to disclose I was staying at the hotel. I am a 76 year old Australian and I have never experienced anything like this before. UNBELIEVABLE

Clean hotel at a great price. It was located near convenient stores and close by to the Sannomiya station. Good base for day trips around Kobe. Staff is friendly and speak English so it wasn’t too hard to communicate. They serve free ice cream for guest that stay there as well as coffee. Will definitely stay here again when we come back to visit Kobe.

I will say my biggest complaint is the staff and their attempt at self check in. While I can understand it’s for efficiency, 1 of the machine was broken, meaning there was a VERY long lineup to checkin with the staff behind the desk not really carinf or trying to help the people struggling. Self check in should be for those familar with the machines/hotels for maximum efficiency. Enforcing it to everyone created more issues if anything

The hotel design is sleek, minimalist and works superbly with great amenities. Wonderful central location too!

The ice cream at night was a nice touch but something savoury would have been healthier. But it is “free” so some of us just skipped it. No complaints.

While the breakfast was pretty basic, it is probably ok for 2-3 days. However, we stayed 8 nights so it got a bit monotonous.

Service was patchy. Most of the staff were very kind and typical of the wonderful hospitality that we have come to know and expect from the Japanese from many years of visits. However, I had my hand smacked away by a staff member who thought I was using the Nespresso the wrong way. She then walked away after saying I shouldn’t do that. Amazingly rude.

Also, we were not impressed when we were reminded very firmly to return an adapter we borrowed. Of course we would return it??

However, most of the staff were kind and welcoming although a few made us feel otherwise.

Lastly, kudos to the housekeepers who cleaned our rooms. Great job and with lots of smiles, which seems lacking in other staff at times.

Highly recommend this hotel if you're visiting Kobe. Location is terrific, less than 10mins walk to Sannomiya Station, tons of restaurant nearby, shopping is just 10mins away.
Facility is clean and new, staff are super friendly and we'll versed in English, communication was great. Checkout thru their kiosk was a breeze.
