Great hotel. The room was nice but nothing too special. Big bathroom. Staff is super friendly! Self check in was easy but the staff helped out anyways. Shopping district is directly across the street and only a few minutes walk from the station. Tons of stores and shops and restaurants. The hotel has a restaurant as well but didn’t try it. Looked good though. I would recommend staying here if you want to be as close as possible to the action without it being too busy in front of the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was super clean. It is in a good location, walking distance from stations and bunch of restaurants and shopping area. There is a City loop bus stop near by and it was very convenient for sightseeing. I also loved their separate bathtub/shower room. They even had epsom salt at amenity corner.(good amenity bar at the lobby)

Most impressive is the staff named \"Mariko\" at the Reception. Mariko-san is very efficient, attentive, service-minded, and helpful indeed. I am very impressed with the way Mariko-san assisted me in searching more information about the train schedule (very fast, clear and complete) and this really helped me a lot and made me want to go back to stay at this hotel again and again.

Very new hotel close

This hotel is right at the shopping street. It is also only a short walk to the Harbour, the Kitano foreign settlement area, and the ropeway station up to the Herb garden (all recommended tourist atteactions). The hotel feels very new. Although it only offers room cleaning once every 3 days, you can request for more frequent cleaning or change of linen by placing a sign outside on the door of your room.

Great location!

The hotel was situated on a beautiful, one-way street walkable to the Sannomiya station and the harbour. Check-in was relatively easy with a ticket/qr code from the counter and then the kiosk for the key cards - the same kiosk was used for returning the key cards and check out.

The on-site Italian restaurant was popular among the locals but offered a 10% off discount for those staying at the hotel: service and food was great for the lunch buffet we had.

The room we had for our family of 4 with small children was located on the top floor (16F): it was spacious, housing two large beds, a living area with a big desk and coffee table (for those eat-in meals) and had a mini fridge (with freezer) and microwave oven. The bathroom was equally spacious, with a well-appointed bathtub and two wash basins; toilet was separate at the entrance and also had its own wash basin. Lighting and its control was well designed and the curtain could block out lights fully.

We used the coin-operated laundry located on the 10F - it was a washer and dryer combined; we did need additional drying for our large load of laundry.

The \"lobby\" next to the reception was relaxing as we checked out and explored the city once more until after lunch time. The surrounding of the hotel was relaxing and quiet: this is very different to what we anticipated, understanding the central location of this hotel previously.

Great spot to base yourself if in Kobe. Very comfortable, was only missing a gym and our room, although up 11 storeys, did not escape the pedestrian crossing alarm. Earplugs essential for the light sleepers.

Stayed 7 nights in Kobe and loved it! Hotel is in a very nice and convenient location. Close to Sannomiya station and surrounded by shops, cafes, restaurants etc.

Only criticism would be that whenever you get new towels they give you a whole new set of bathroom amenities which wasn't really necessary and all came in single use plastic. Maybe some type of request form could be used instead of just giving a whole new set everytime

We stayed 4 days in the executive suite. Assuming it’s the best room of their hotel. However There is no service for the first 3 days. I had to ask the reception for new towels everyday. They said I had to put service sign on the door before 10am. We put it out at 11am(because we wake up late) so got no service. On last day I was in the hotel whole day(and had service sign out the night before!) there is no one come to service until 12p.m. I called reception and this time they had no excuse and ask me when do I need service?!
The pillows are extremely uncomfortable, we didnt had any good sleep during the five days. Good things with the hotel is the location. And normal king/twin rooms are very affordable. It is not worth to pay 4 times normal rate to get the executive suite. It will not value the money. And the reception got very poor English compare to Osaka and Kyoto hotels, do not expect they will answer any of your enquiries.

I’ve stayed here several times by now and overall it’s a good choice in Sannomiya.

Convenient location, clean room in a good size with a comfy bed.

The only things I’d like to see the changes are the pillows and breakfasts. The pillows are huge and stone heavy😂 not comfortable at all to sleep on.

The breakfast is mediocre at best. The bread choice is poor, only dinner rolls and French toast. No pastries or croissants.. The restaurant is Italian, and they serve some pasta dishes for breakfast but they were not that good..

Regardless of some shortcomings I would stay here again in the future. Customer service are pretty good😊

2nd time staying here. Love the bathtub so I can soak in it. It’s right across the street from Sannomiya shopping center too. We ate a lot and shop a lot. From here we took a day trip to Himeji, and another day trip to Mt Rokko and Arima onsen.

More of a prison inmate than a hotel customer

The check in process took almost one hour because they could not find the reservation despite showing them our booking confirmation with details. They kept saying they could not find it in their system. After half hour, somehow they found it but had problem with us two staying in the 2-queen bed junior suit without breakfast included. They claimed we only booked the two-bed junior suit for one person and wanted to charge us JPY5000 extra per night. While waiting for all the mess, the other staff impolitely tried to put us in an imaginary straight line by commanding us to move our bags, passports, and our stand to about 3 inches from the original place, (like in military drill). We were thinking we were not hotel customers but some kind of prison inmates. After one hour, they found a smoking room so we asked if we could change. The answer was no to no surprises but the reason given was that all the rooms were fully booked tonight. After we got to our junior suit, the room was reek with stuffy smoke smell so we asked another staff to help us. To our surprise, this staff took us to an available room and asked if we wanted to change. The room was a normal twin and cost 2-3 times cheaper. We asked if we could get a refund, the staff said if you told us before paying we could pay less. Imagining us standing there feeling like being cheated.

Bath and toilet are separated with a glass wall was so perfect ,love the amenities and the most important there was two big pillows for each person.Breakfast was good. During check in staff was polite and helpful. But on checki out you have to do it by yourself just like some other hotels, the thing is there was no one to greet you and thank you for staying.
Staff were all busy that they don’t care about the outgoing guests.I hope there is even one staff to
greet also the checking out guests, then everything will be good. And i wish they can maintain the cleanliness of the hotel.
Definitely will stay again .

The hotel is clean and modern. I like how spacious the room is. However we ordered room service and they gave us the wrong order. It took another 1 hour for them to deliver. Totally we spent 2 hours on waiting for a grilled Steak rice bowl. It seems like the staffs there don't speak English well. And the bathtub is a bit stuck. Water doesn't go away quickly.

Daiwa have got a very good hotel product. Right down to the design of their pyjamas. This hotel is very well placed to access the Port, public transport and the excellent shopping malls.
The room layout is good and the beds very comfortable. We didn’t try their food offering so cannot comment. Overall we enjoyed Kobe and the hotel was excellent

Everything was OK but I felt the layout for the Moderate room was strange. You would walk a \"narrow' hallway along with bathroom to get to the bedroom. Due to the room layout, the bedroom seemed very small considering it had about 20m2/226sf. Breakfast was pretty good. Location is very convenient for shopping and dining.
