Clean room , excellent breakfast , and great location in a safe area off the main street noise. Grab taxi to malls about 1.4 km. Walk to many restaurants , and malls within 10 minutes.

The room had everything we needed during our two week stay. The bed was comfortable, and the staff happily provided a cotton sheet for nights when the duvet cover was too warm. The Ibis was immaculate! And we were very pleased to have water provided in glass bottles. The only disappointment was that we contacted the Ibis regarding a merino wool sweater that was accidentally left behind during a 4:00 am checkout and they emailed to inform us that housekeeping did not recover the lost item.

For me a solo traveller, as an over night resting stop, it was perfect, the staff and breakfast, etc, were excellent, and I even chise to eat evening meals there too, the only 1 thing, I would change , would be the tv options in the room, apart from that, I would still stay there again.

They charge guests per call to use inroom telephone for any calls. That is ridiculous and no notice posted in room nor mentioned at check in. Also, one month for hotel to return room deposit to credit card is outrageous and unacceptable. Lastly, guests very loud next door baging doors all hours of night. Mold in room around bath door. Shower not cleaned thoroughly. Overall, a subpar low budget property. Ibis in Brussels is much better for the same cost.

Nice room, ideal for short stays

A nice simple room for short trip. Bed was very comfy and the room and shower clean, room felt airy and light. Staff were helpful and welcoming, but left you to your own devices. About 10 minute walk to MRT. Restaurant at hotel, and 7-11 just opposite.

it isnt the Sukhothai but a 3 star hotel which offers what one needs without fuss and at a decent price. There are cafes and restaurants around, 24 hour 7-11 across the road, and Silom Centre etc not far away. Corridor carpets not the newest.

This is our third visit to this particular ibis property. While it’s not directly on the BTS line in fact, it takes a few rides by the subway to get there, it is a good neighborhood with a 7-Eleven across the street, a very good varied breakfast in the restaurant and very nice staff. The hotel is very reasonable price. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the MRT Lumpini station, which can connect to the BTS. In the afternoons, after walking all day, we would take the motorbike taxi from the corner back to the hotel at 10 bought a ride, which is less than $.30 cents.

It is a pleasure to stay at the Ibis at Sathorn. There are very good and cheap food outlets, plus a 7/11. They were very helpful during this caronavirus and understood when we had to leave quickly before borders closed in countries.

The wifi connection is very bad. The IT staff does not work on week ends. So the F & B manager was dealing with the wifi matter on a Sunday. Although the F & B manager is not an IT expert, she boldly said that the problem lies with my computer although the wifi in the restaurant across the hotel worked well on my laptop. When the IT guy came to work on Monday, he admitted to me that I am not the only one having internet connection problems in the hotel. The so-called senior staff lies shamelessly to exonerate themselves and would deny responsibility for anything. Everyone else is to be blamed but not them for the problems they created or are unable to solve.

The quality of service in the restaurant is also lousy, yet the hotel adds automatically a 10% service charge to all restaurant bills. Adding such a service charge when the service is bad is like adding insult to injury especially as not all restaurants in Bangkok automatically add the service charge to a bill.

Although the senior staff's behaviour is despicable, the front desk clerks are doing their best and are always willing to help but when the hotel is utterly mismanaged, the hands of the junior staff remain tied no matter how ready they are to help.

The cleaning staff does not bother to check whether all the cups in the room are clean or dirty. It is as if the customers have the obligation to wash their cups after use.

First two are my negative feedback. Followed by positive feedback.

Firstly, they charged me a refundable deposit if 2000 baht during check in. Although it was mentioned by expedia, I don't understand why a hotel like Ibis need to charge such a deposit.
Secondly, I was not happy with the toiletries they provided. When I walk into an hotel, least I expect is a toiletry kit, tooth brush, and tooth paste. Upon enquiring,desk, I was asked to pick it up from the nearest seven eleven outlet.


1.Breakfast was very good. A good variety of Asian and continental food.
2. Trust worthy and no fear of theft or cheating.
3. They have a very good sit out space at the entrance for an evening wind up drink after a hard day touring Bangkok.
4. Very close by to MRT station. Hourly drop facility is available.
5. On the last day of my checkout, Ibis kept guard of my baggage, so that I could go out, and then I picked up my bag later in the day and head straight to the airport.
6. Although I dint try dinner, menu was very good , from a variety of Thai and continental food .

Overall, a very good place to stay. I recommend Ibis, sathon because it's cheaper and far away from all the noise, which you will need to unwind from a hectic day.

Basic hotel room with all the requisite in-room facilities. Bed was comfortable, staff were helpful and breakfast was sufficient in its variety for my needs (though don't expect a very wide spread). The room is cozy enough though be warned that they’re not soundproofed so you can hear your neighbours (mine enjoyed the tv and laughing loudly) and other guests walking past your room.

This hotel is in a great location, and is priced very reasonably. The staff is excellent, and are well trained. There are excellent restaurants nearby, and the train is about about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel could use a renovation, but is very clean, and well maintained. I didn’t like being asked for a security deposit at check-in, but got my deposit back at check-out. The street in front of the hotel has no sidewalk, and is quite dangerous, so accessing outside services can be a challenge.

Great budget hotel

It's actually the great budget hotel so far but this stay I found the toilet lid and the floor in front of toilet are dirty. I then call the reception and they send a maid to clean it quickly. The maid cleans the toilet but doesn't clean the floor, she says that the floor is just like that and can't make it clean. After the maid left for few hours, I go using the toilet again and found that many spots of dirt still shown on the toilet lid like it hasn't been cleaned. I try using the wet napkins remove those dirty spots myself and lucky it's cleanable.

Came to renew my visa at a nearby embassy and staying at Ibis Sathorn offered me a good accessibility to the embassy (walking distance). Everything at the hotel was pretty fine, the facilities and all were taken care well, the breakfast buffet was very delicious and their staff were very friendly. I had a very pleasant stay over there. However, I do hope that they can improve on their hotel room's soundproofing. I was assigned with room 717 and during my two nights stay I can hear noise coming from guests next door, room 715 if I'm not mistaken. Overall, it was a great stay with Ibis Sathorn. Highly recommended.

This property is good, convenient location because it's close to my conference venue. But, I am disappointed with the breakfast menu. It's the same everyday...same tasteless scrambled eggs, grilled tomatoes or baked beans, and baked potatoes everyday. There's no options/choices for vegetarians.
