We enjoyed the area with all the variety for food and local culture. We liked that they had a shuttle to the nearest bts but if you have a larger family, it would be quicker at almost the same cost to use Grab or taxi. We picked up a lot of little things from the many 7-elevens in the area. The staff, especially the doormen, were very friendly and helpful.
Only issue was that we booked for a family of 5 (with teens) and this property popped up but it really only had beds for 4 people (unless you slept 3 to a king?). It would cost an extra $900 baht/night for a rollaway bed! We just had a person on the couch (which we mistakenly thought during booking may have been a pull out). It may have changed our pick for hotels if we had known the bed situation as there were lots of choice in that price range.

We stayed here as a family of four, and out of the six times we've visited Bangkok, this hotel is honestly one of our favourites. The apartment was spacious, the beds were comfortable, and having a washing machine was an added bonus. The location was ideal, with plenty of street food vendors within walking distance offering a variety of delicious Thai dishes. The pool was a great size, and even though it was incredibly hot outside, we still enjoyed playing tennis. The reception staff went above and beyond, always helpful and friendly. This hotel ticked all the boxes for us, and we will definitely return.

We have stayed at this property for the past 15 years, each year at least once.
The older staff know us and there is a human touch which makes it wonderful for us.
Excellent spa, clean pool, beautiful garden and a fabulous view from the balcony. Nearby restaurants, a 7/11 next door makes it an ideal place. Quiet and peaceful!

Have stayed it so many times. While its one of the more expensive hotels in the area it is well worth the money. The staff are helpful and courteous. The rooms are beautifully appointed and have some stunning views of the area. The lounge room and bedroom are enormous. The washing machine and drying rack come in handy. Somerset is located in Sathorn with lot of local cafes and bars. It is within walking distance of Chong Nonsi BTS, patpong and Silom. There is a major shopping complex in Silom. A short BTS, bus or taxi will have you in Siam Square in minutes.

We have been here now 3 or 4 times since 2014, it is the only place we will stay in Bangkok. This area is around where my wife used to live and work and when you walk outside there is all kinds of interesting stuff to see, including gold shops.

I always love staying here. Excellent service and lovely rooms. This is the first time I have tried the buffet breakfast and it was excellent. My only criticism for this visit is, considering the overall increase in price, it might be time to upgrade the TV in the lounge area to a more suitable size tv and possibly add some additional channels to give guests more options.

The is a great hotel to stay. It is just off Sathorn road and is in walking distance to restaurants, cafes and bars. It is also within walking distance to Silom where there are many retail outlets and a Centralworld shopping mall. The rooms are well appointed, modern and clean. The are friendly and helpful. Checking in and out is easy. There is also an accessible gym and pool in the hotel.

We loved being here for a month. Although the apartment had a few minor issues like a laundry machine that was bad the staff was prompt to attend matters. The 2 bedroom was clean, neat, comfortable and efficient. We were very happy to have lived there for a month and without a doubt would return.

What a lovely place to stay in the middle of Sathorn. This well appointed serviced apartment is tastefully appointed with all amenities. Full sized kitchen with everything you would need including a washing machine and drying rack. A huge bathroom with all toiletries provided. Seperate dining and lounge. There is also a swimming pool and fitness centre on the 5th floor. The staff are friendly and helpful. They were even able to organise my PCR test or me.

A wonderful place. We stayed here with family in 2 bed apartment and found it excellent. We had stayed here in December 2018 also. And we chose it again for our latest stay in June 2019. We will definitely come back here and would recommend it to others.

Swimming pool is also big and very clean, with kids pool which is 0.6m deep. There is kids playing area also on 5th floor, same floor with pool and gym. 7/11 and many other shops/ restaurants are on walking distance. Taxi can be hired very easily, just ask the reception and it is there in few minutes. MBK mall is hardly 10 minutes taxi drive from Somerset. They have room service also with limited number of dishes.

Very old and lack of maintain property, with a bad smelly bathroom, I suspect the smell is from the drain, we can smell it in living room. Communicate with front Day during the first day check in and they didn’t do anything at all.

If you are looking for Somerset experience, this is not a Somerset you should click.

Location wise, no problem, but very far from BTS.

Our family rented one of the 3 bedroom apartments for several nights. The space of these apartments is enormous--truly amazingly large for being in the center of the city and at a reasonable price. Nice features included full size washer and dryer (with provided daily laundry soap), full kitchen with oven and range, generous number of free water bottles daily, jacuzzi tub in one bedroom, etc. Located on the 26th floors, the views of the city were also quite beautiful.
The only downside of the room was that the air conditioning in one of the bedrooms was inconsistent and would cut out at times. The hotel was very responsive in coming to fix it, but even after adding Freon there still was a problem with the a/c.
As some previous reviewers had noted, the room does feel a bit old in terms of the decor and fixtures. Considering the price that we paid, this was not an issue, and the plentiful space and 4! bathrooms more than made up for that.
The service at the front desk was excellent.
Just as an FYI, it is possible to add an extra bed to a room for about $30 USD.

Reading some negative reviews lately tired of reading from those who people who just like to be negative and not realisic which is essential to a good review, for the value in my home country Australia a hotel of this quality would cost 3X and not have the silver service, greeted at the door with a welcoming smile, quality teas in the foyer every day ie iced lotus juice, jasmine tea etc, beautiful gardens and Koi ponds and the rooms so big, for the lowest catagory 2 tV's 2 Air cons and fantastic sweeping city views, bigger than my apartment at home! This was my first stay in bangkok with my kids i loved it somerset park suanplu bangkok was lovely the staff helped you with what ever you needed always on hand to help you.the rooms are wonderful always cleaned ,i needed help with the washing machine as mine was a different one to home the staff were at my door just after i put the phone down so quick and helpful .I am going back the staff just makes you feel so welcome .There is so much to do in bangkok like the zoo's ,water park we went here for my daughters birthday great fun .

Location at Suanplu was very central and within walking distance to the BTS. The amenities and staff were friendly and very helpful with any issues that arose. Stayed in a 3 bedroom suite for a night. Overall pleasant. Kitchenwares and utensils were clean and new. New table rag, sponge and dish detergent were provided. Flooring for the whole suite was old though. Shower water pressure could be better. No sundry shop within the building. Was given extra bottled water when requested. Swimming pool was pleasant. A playground with slides and swing would be good to have. Breakfast buffet at 300 baht per pax was ok. Was given a box of tissue for such a big suite. Ahem. Need to bring your own travel adapter plug. Air con controls were manual. Really old fashioned way. Bed was the springy type. Not my preference. Air con compressor at the bedroom balcony could be loud for some. Nice view from the balcony.

The room was big. We were at high floor and had very good view. There were cooking utensils, washing machine and dryer in the room which made the stay very convenient. There was a 7-11 convenient store nearby the hotel and a local market by about 5-10 minutes walk. Staff were nice and friendly.
However, the location was quite far away from BTS and MRT station, which required about 15-20 minutes walk. Hotel only provided one-way shuttle to BTS station every 30 minutes, and it was quite inconvenient when back to the hotel after eating/shopping around BTS station.

Excellent first time visit but a bit far from bts. Actually this is perfect if you have your own car. Traffic jam is always a problem. Staff are very nice and helpful. They helped my daughter to find her goggle and cap back. Bathroom shower is super good unlike many other hotels in bangkok. Gym room and indoor swimming pool are great too for the price I paid.

Our one-bedroom at Somerset Park Suan Plu is perfect for a long stay - we have been there for 2-weeks, for 3-weeks, and for a month on different occasions. The area is quite convenient and they have a shuttle to the Sala Daeng Metro is needed. The neighborhood in very residential - all types of places to stay and stores and a market nearby for veggies and fruits and homemade foods. The facility has a great fitness center and pool as well as a library area. We don't usually use the available breakfast but when we have in the past, it was excellent. Hight recommended.
