We stayed here for 5 nights and boy, we were not disappointed!
This is great hotel, well located with some excellent amneties nearby. We had a premier suite and it was fabulous. Located on the 33rd floor, it boasts excellent skyline views of Bangkok. The rooms were clean and spacious.

I stayed in Urbana Sathorn Hotel - Bangkok - from 03 to 05 Dec 2025 the hotel is good, the staff at this hotel, they are welcoming, sincere and helpful. The service is good. The breakfast was average not a lot of food and variety. Room was normal. The bed was good and the pillows were soft and not comfortable for me. The bathroom was ok but the shower area too small and the hot water takes long time to get hot, recommend to install rain fall shower instead of normal shower. The BTS SkyTrain is 10 min waking to Chong Nonsi station and 7/ 11 store is 10 walking. This is my second time I stayed in this hotel the first time was July 2025.

The carpet had stains on it and the apartment was very worn and needs upgrading. The shower in the main bathroom had a screw sticking out holding the handle on.
The hot water took 5 minutes to come through, lights not working and could turn some off in the kitchen. No cleaning utensils to clean up in the kitchen.

If you want a quiet plus not going out of the hotel stay, it might be good. Hotel breakfast is average for me.

The hotel staffs were excellent be it at the door, receptionist, room service and F&B. Thumb up!

It is 1.5km away from Terminal 21 Asoke via cab. There is 2 walkable restaurant on the left side of the hotel, quite pricey and wasnt that fantastic despite 5* reviews. Hotel room doesnt provide dish washing liquid, dishes cloth and scissors

My girst impression of the property was formed at check-in where it was pretty clear that the staff are over worked and under pressure. While courteous they were quite short. Its odd thst they walk away from the desk with the passport when there is ample technology available to enable scanning at their work station.

Rooms are spacious though the breakages list with associated replacement costs s typical of a low end facility. It left a bad taste in my mouth. There was mo television in the bedroom and the washing machine leaked when used.

My key card did not work at least half the time which required me to return from a high floor back down to the reception. Might be time to upgrade this equipment as it seemed to be causing difgiculties gor a number of guests.

The price for this hotel attracted me to stay but in the end was not sufficient to counter balance the experience. It wouldnt take alot to turn Urbana into a truly great experience. It would take alot of convincing for me to stay again in the future. And thats a pity as it has serious potential.

Very poor communication from the reception desk, none of the phone lines worked in the rooms, could not even contact the reception desk, upon complaining nothing was done to fix it, didn’t feel the warm welcome you normally get upon checking in to the hotel, they weren’t as friendly at the reception desk. The porters at the door were very nice, very helpful and polite. The property is quite old and run down, in the pictures it looks so different compared to what it actually is. Don’t be fooled by the pictures

Its a 3 star and pool area is bad

Urbana is not a 5 or a 4 star hotel! Beware as its listed as such on many hotel pages! The rooms are ok however many items are damaged ( for us there was a cigarette burn on one of the armchairs/phone not working/ aircon making horrible noise at night and ultimately nit working) and as a traveller you waste your time to report those to management. If you are a person that likes to relax by the pool - their pool is not very well maintained - for about 1000 guest capacity this hotel has 5sun beds - 2 out of which are damaged beyond point of use but left for all of the guests to see. The around the pool area is a dangerous area for the kids as the below grass panels are broken and you are at high risk or breaking your leg or falling and hitting your head agaist the pool. I do not recommend and ask hotels.com to take them off as 5 star listing.

Overall, the suite is OK. The property is very old, must have been built in the early 90s. Maintenance is good as they tried to keep it as clean as possible. Air condition works great, very cold. The washing maching is not dual washer/dryer as advertised, so you have to hang up your clothings to dry. TV is horrible, only 3 or 4 stations on \"standard\" definition, but this is not critical as we did not visit Bangkok to watch TV. On our checkout, we we told we have to pay for two bottles of water, which I thought was a rip-off, considering the fact that we checked out at 7.30 am and room service has not replaced the 4 bottles of water that we are entitled to everyday. Although it is only 50 baht per bottle, it is the principle that counts. We didn't argue and just paid up. The walk to Si Lom and Lumphini MRTs is quite far and not the best for tourists. We ended up using Grab from Urbana Sathorn to the MRT stations all the time.

The accommodation is getting a bit tired now, but very clean. Housekeeping did a good job everyday.
My only criticism is that there were only 5 sunloungers at the pool and they needed replacing.

I must express my profound disappointment with the level of friendliness by the staff here. Despite my multiple reminders, they did not follow up on my request to fix the telephone. Furthermore, I specifically asked them to come and teach us how to use the washing machine on the first day of check-in, but they never showed up. Even when I requested them to come the next day, they failed to fulfill their promise. Additionally, I had to ask for a bathrobe, and it took them a whole hour to respond, only to question whether I still wanted it. It is quite obvious that I needed it; otherwise, why would I have requested it in the first place? Needless to say, the service provided does not live up to the standards one would expect from a 4-star hotel. Given my unpleasant experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend this place to other people. =(

The boards are rotten and you nearly get you’re feet stuck in holes .the pool surrounding area was dirty and the sun deck table rotten/broken and sun deck sofa broken really poor no one cares to repair/replace WHY !??

Urbana Sathorn is not a 4 star hotel. It is a serviced appartment hotel. Id give it 3 starts in its current state and condition. It has a pool, that has broken spa and broken sauna and the floorbaords around the pool are covered in fake green grass that move and bounce when you walk on them. Majority of chairs borken and open use of cabls trying things together. It has simply seen better days. The pool bar is ridiculously overpriced- $7 AUD for a warm diet coke and took 20 mins to find ice for the drink. Wanbted Ice for the room but couldnt have it because the bar closes at 5.45pm. Breakfast options were ok, at least omlette to order was available. Entrance staff in the lobby nice enough and the place was clean down there but the area outside stank of canabis whic his now legal in Thailand. The room was a 1 bedroom delux. Clearly fallinh apaprt, no cupboard doors and the hot water took between 5-6 mins to come through. It was very clean but clearly dated. Booked a room with a washing machine and it wouldnt work so came home with a suitcase of dirty clothes. One staff told me it is earmarked for a huge renovation in 2024. It absolutley needs it. It was convenient in termos of locaiton bu be warned, South Sathorn Road turns into a carpark from 4pm for at least 4 hours so youll need to chose where youre going and what yoiure doing. I wouldnt stay here agina because I know I can do better for the money until it is renvoated.

The hotel was fine for our 6 night stay in Bangkok. The rooms on the front (and side) of the building are very noisy from street traffic but we upgraded and were able to change to one on the back - overlooking the pool and it was very very quiet. The rooms were so reasonably priced that the extra charge to upgrade was negligible. One of the 2 air conditioners only worked as a heater - after the 3 attempts by the hotel to fix it we gave up. Having a washing machine was also helpful. The breakfast was great every morning with lots of options. Location was also perfect for us. Easy taxi rides to sites and walkable to many. We would stay again but only if we could have a room on the back side.

We stayed as a family of 4 in the premium suite. The room was amazing, with an excellent view of the city skyline. Overall we loved our stay... so much so we stayed for an extra night.

The kids loved the large pool, however it had rained the day we got there, which meant the green artificial turf around the pool gave off a foul odour for a couple days. Also, the pool at night was rather forgettable... not well lit and not very inviting.

Otherwise the hotel, room, staff and area were excellent. Would highly recommend it.

Hotel is nice but I wouldn't not say it is 5 star. Location is good since easy go everywhere. There is few restaurants near by but need to walk couple minutes. Hotel restaurant is not open night and that was a little bit disappointing. In the pool area you have nice views but there should be more sunbeds. We tried to message some wishes to hotel before but they didn't read our messages. We wanted to have let check out and needed to tell thia reception 4 different person that it was confirmed. Piccolo man was friendly, and all good for him!

Run down but still a good value

The FuramaXclusive is a good value for a 3-star hotel in a great location near shopping and public transport. But it's tatty furniture and dilapidated fixtures give away that this hotel left behind its supposed 4-star rating long ago. Its WiFi is impossibly unreliable—you'll need a good cellular data connection to survive. Its kitchenettes come with no utensils or dinnerware, only a couple of coffee mugs. And the graciousness typical of Bangkok hotels was apparently also cut to trim costs. But if you set your expectations properly, it's still worth it.
