The hotel location was very convenient to Pedestrian street. Rooms are a good size though you will notice some wear. But rooms were clean. Staff was very friendly. The only thing i would complain about were people sitting by the elevator smoking. The smoke travels through the hallway and into the rooms. You should have a Non- smoking floor and must enforce. Overall, it was a good stay and i would stay again

Our stay includes 8 adults and 2 children. We started for 4 nights and the stay was excellent mainly due to the helpful staffs from front desk to concierge. Team from front desk was extremely helpful and customer oriented. Amy is always there to help with everything even outside her office hours. Thank u team for your kind assistance. The trip was perfect because of u and team.

This hotel was in the center of many shopping malls/outlets and restaurants nearby. Convenient location with the subway (LaoJie station) being only a 1 minute walk away from Exit D elevator. Very lively in the evening with lots of people shopping and eating. I lived on 6th floor and it was surprisingly quiet at night. Room was clean and spacious.

Convenient Location

Overall satisfactory. Special credit to Ms Sunny at Reception who has been exceptionally helpful.
The only setback was my request in person to the reception staff on duty the night before check-out the next morning for a \"6.30 am morning wake-up call' was not executed. Fortunately, the alarm on my mobile phone did not fail me.

The location of the hotel is good as there are a lot of restaurants and shopping Malls around the hotel.

Unfortunately, there is strong cigarette smell along the corridors of the rooms and the smell will permeate into the room.

Hotel Room need major renovation

Except giving full marks to the location of the hotel. The room allocated to me was very old which need major renovation, in particular the attached bath room, the water flow out all the way to the room carpet outside the bath room.
The wooden furniture were also very old need to be replaced.
Room has very poor lighting too.
The house keeper just remove and replace the towers every day, the room was not vacuumed.
I book the room fro 3 nights including breakfast but upon checking in the staff at the counter informed me that breakfast was not included, I have to challenged him to double check if my booking including breakfast, it took 2 hours to confirm. Not so efficient.

Exceeded my expectations!

I am so glad I picked this hotel during my recent trip as this is not the usual type of hotel that I usually choose, however I picked this as it is smack bang in the centre of the Dongmon shopping district. You literally just walk out of the hotel and shop away! The hotel itself is a bit old, comfortable but not luxurious, but the service and staff is amazing! I had the best service ever from a hotel in China, even better than the 5 star hotels that costs 3 times the price.. I shall be going back to this hotel for sure during my future trips to Shenzhen!

Very disappointing hotel

This is the 4th time I am staying in ZTL hotel but it will be my last stay here . Other than the location of the hotel , the rooms condition are very bad . For non-smoking , it’s a torture as the heavy smoke smell just killing most of us ! We are a group of 10 friends and 7 choose to forfeit their deposit and change Hotel the next day ! Except for the bed which the bedsheet was change , rest of the items in the room I try to avoid touching !! Go look at other hotels if you don’t want to spoit your holiday mood !

The receptionist Ms Sunny Choi was very kind and helpful. I had a few heavy luggages and she helped to carry it onto the taxi. Being a petite and young lady, I am truly appreciate her gesture, as the hotel do not have concierge at night.

Great hotel and very near to subway

Stayed at ZTL for 2 nights. It's not easy to identify the hotel as there is some road works on going in front of the road. Was greeted with smiles upon entering the lobby. Friendly receptionist and answered all my queries with ease. The room are quite big in size and the bed is on the hard side but it is comfortable. There is a restaurant at level 2, which served nice Canto and Chinese food, affordable price. The location is superb with 'LaoJie' metro just 2 mins away. Across the street, there are many shopping malls and wholesale centre, great for people who are here to shop till you drop. Overall, its a great experience in ZTL, the staff are really great! And they provide transportation from hotel to HK airport , cost 800RMB one way.

Stayed at this hotel for one night in transit. Reception staff was not very friendly – I guess it is typical of any hotel in China. I made a mistake of booking a room with 2 twin beds and they told me that I can’t change it to a queen bed. Breakfast is middling without much selection. I should have booked the room without breakfast.

Okay hotel for short stay located in perfect area

This hotel is good for short stay. The hotel may needed to be renovated as its decorations and furniture is a bit old and the cleanliness is needed to be improved. The area is just perfect. This hotel is good for only a short stay. Its decoration and furniture is a bit old. Service was not that bad. The receptionist could speak English. We did not get any other services from this hotel so,.. our rate is just fair. The best thing of this hotel is its location - just a few minutes to walk to metro station, surrounded by many food stalls, and close to Dongmen Market. Its cleaniless needed to be improved as we found a cockroach in our room! The hotel's bedsheet and pillows could be better.

Smack in the middle of Dongmen Pedestrian Street area. Ideal for shopping. We had difficulty finding the hotel due to a lack of available paper maps and the fact that Google maps showed the hotel to be somewhere else. Also a lack of street names in English. If you find KFC and McDonalds, it's just 200m away, near to H&M and close to one of the Metro exits (2 stops from Luoho). Rooms larger than expected. Cheap breakfast, but don't expect it to be a western breakfast meal. The room smelled of cigarettes even though it was non-smoking, but later figured that it was either from the A/C or the street below (window was open on arrival). Would use it again.

The hotel was run down, and the room in general (curtains, toilet, common area) was dirty. The corridor light leading from the lift to the room was so dark, making it a challenge to see where I was going. Even the receptionist was rude - barely any service at all! Hotel really needs an upgrade.

Wallpapers needs replacement

I stayed in superior room this time ( previously stayed Deluxe room). In comparison, superior room is slightly smaller without a sofa area, though overall the room size is still reasonable. Superior room looks less maintained, with the wallpapers falling apart and older furniture. Breakfast was simple. Staff at breakfast considered of 2 lazy male staff and a female staff who was more hardworking in contrast. The male staff would simply be playing with their phones or pretending to act busy with some light tasks such as laying the table with a piece of paper and 1 spoon. Don't expect them to clear your plates until you have left. Refilling of basic food such as milk, coffee, tea etc are not in their radar unless you alert them to do so. In short, non-existent service during breakfast.

The hotel has seen better days long long ago .The rooms are filthy and worn out ,forget trying to get on the Internet .
Only solution is for them to tear it down and I suspect that is the plan and why it has not been updated
For the money can do much better elesware in Shenzen

Things have gone downhill.

I've stayed at Ztl many times over the years. Ever since it was a Days Inn. This time I was placed in an odd room with a half kitchen that wreaked of stale smoke. There was also a strange chemical/paint smell near the door. The window and drapes were covered in black mold. I told the front desk and was basically laughed away as if it was normal, though I think it was a language thing, when I approached them a second time, I brought back one of the front desk ladies with me and she was surprised and agreed that the room was not what I had booked and not to the standards of the hotel. That the room was previously used by a long term stay customer and he must have smoked in it before. Unfortunately there were no other rooms available to switch into, even though it seemed like I could book other rooms through hotels.com. I was offered to have the main come sanitize the room with a spray disinfectant, I declined. As it was late, I had no other options. No apologies or refund from the hotel the next morning. Honestly, this place used to be a good combo of cleanliness at a budget. The last few stays have progressively gotten worse. There are a few other options in the Louhu area that I'll be staying at next time I'm in Shenzhen.

I like it very much, but my girlfriend likes the other hotel we stayed before. The price is reasonable, but my girlfriend said she would expected better than what they offer for the price. There is no hotel service in my opinion, or I did not have much request. It is convenience to shop around. The wifi speed is faster than the other hotel I stayed in Manila. The place is fair.

We had a pleasant stay. The cleanliness and room size was better than we expected for it's price. It's definitely value for money to stay at ZTL Shenzhen. The bellboy was always full of smiles which made our day. The only difficulty we had was because we borrowed an extra towel, and placed it in another room, the housekeeper either was not honest or careless and claimed that we kept the towel away.

Great Hotel, Many Nearby Conveniences

Andrew from Canada, native english speaker with limited knowledge of mandarin. You could get by with strictly english.

The hotel is nearby Luohu border. Also nearby is MTR stop on green line(less than 2 minutes walking). It is located in a very busy district with many places to eat and shop.

Hotel was easy to find. Inside was clean and comfortable. WiFi worked great.

The hotel was undergoing some improvements in the hallway when I stayed here, but nothing offsetting nor noisy.

The rate was very good for the quality of the hotel. Would stay here again.

Located conveniently in Luohu shopping area and right next to the MRT exit. Easy to find.
Hotel service is bad, requested for high floor but was given the lowest floor. Aircon was too cold despite trying to adjust the temperature and had to off the aircon.
Fridge was not working and stink badly. No free bottled water was given and was chargeable.
Check in was bad as staff did not block a room for my reservation and mistook CONFIRMATION as CANCELLATION.
Would not recommend for long stay, but if it's one night stay, still bearable.

This hotel has a great location, walking distance to MRT station, shopping, eating places, from cafe, restaurants to street snack, and famous night mkt is just around the back, its safe yet near to busy areas, it has nice rooms and helpful front desk service, it dun have a big, nice hotel building fronter, but it has a 3-4 star hotel room standard. I will for sure to stay there again.

I'll stay in hotel when I go to Mainland next time. The room is new and clean, feels cozy. However, the air-conditioning was not cool enough. the lowest was 23 degrees and it feels hot at night. ZTL hotel is a good location in Lao Jie, which is easily accessible by metro train station exit E.

Do request for non-smoking room if you dislike cigarettes smell.

we just gave up to the hotel and found a new one. The premises are just very very old and bad mantained and the pics on the web are not real at all.
Backpackers can be satisfied at a reasonablle rate (which wasn't this time) and rooms need a very deep renovation and much higher standrds of cleaning

Rather unhappy but made for the location

The hotel on the whole is a bit dated. The room that was allocated to us was next to a construction area and it was noisy from 12am onwards which I needed sleep. As I was on business, I got up early after the first night, I got out the first night and didn't quite bother about it. It happened again on the second night and I requested for a change of room which happened for the last night. As usual, counter staffs aren't really enthusiastic in helping but still made the change. Hotel location is amazing but the hotel really is rather dated.

Decent location, facilities should be improved.

This is the second time I visit this hotel. I stay here only for a night. The location is very good that everything is around. You can find huge shopping centers and local shopping streets, numerous restaurants as well as a small theme park which allows family to have a wonderful time. The facilities in the hotel is ordinary. The quality of television is not very good. The pressure of water is not enough. The toilet shape is not comfortable with weird allocation of tissues. However, in terms of the low price, I find the hotel is quite decent to live in. It is really good to go back to the hotel for a short rest once you feel tired from shopping and playing out there. I recommend you to go to the top floor of 1234 Space mall to visit a shop which sells instruments and movie related products.

Good location , bad wifi

Location is great as its near restaurants , dong men shopping , and trains.
A little bit funny is the reception at level 5.
The bad point is the wifi connection and speed is very lousy .

Poor Hotel and poor service hotel's and Hotel. Com

When we arrived at hotel and shown our two rooms that we had booked in the uk with Hotel. Com we tolded the hotel that the rooms we booked were not these ones we were tolded that we had to pay more for rooms that we originally paid for we phone Hotel. com but had no joy so we booked another hotel and moved the next day and have decided to sort it out when we get back to UK

Great stopover trip

fast check-in and check-out, great location, just on top of the Lao Jie MTR station, with lots of restaurants and food courts nearby.

Short stay at Dongmen

Good value hotel with excellent location! Entrance to Laojie metro is only 100m away from lobby. Room was more spacious than expected. Satisfied except that Wifi is a bit slow.

family getaway

We had booked a superior room and were given a room with very dim light. After much feedback to the reception, the kind receptionist agreed to change a better well lit room. Location is fantastic.
