The room was absolutely insane. Dated, like the rest of the hotel. Genuinely looks like it hasn't been renovated in at least 40 years, if not more. It is a very very convenient location, about 5-8 minute walk to the train station, and it has a 7 eleven inside, but that's about it. Would return if I had an early train as I did on this occasion, but by god if I was staying in Suzhou for any length of time for purposes other than getting a 6:30 train, I'd give this hotel a miss. Creepy.

Great locale , not so easy to find. Good stay

Very convenient location. Exit LuoWu immigration building and go to far left to take long escalator up. Follow signs for Fulin hotel (Chinese name). Almost missed it looking for Best Western. Take escalator up and then take escalator ahead down and keep heading in direction of Fulin Hotel. There are some steps. Another few hundred feet when you reach street level. Easy walk.

This is a very old hotel. WiFi doesn’t work. No room service. No taxis. You have to ask hotel desk and they will rob you and call their select driver to drive you for 4 times the price. It was a real bad experience staying here. No WiFi, no room service, no taxis???

Comfortable and clean old thing near the HK boarder crossing. All the public areas have been extensively renovated but the rooms only superficially. A little bit out of the way in terms of options for food and walking, but not too far from the MRT. Room was a little dated but very clean. Breakfast was so-so.

This hotel commits fraud to Expedia and I will tell you how it's done.

I booked 2 rooms for 2 nights (2 people were coming). When we arrived at ~13.00 local time, girl at reception could not find our reservation. At all. But offered to buy directly from hotel. OKay..
After a long talk - English is not so perfectly spread in China even at hotels, we got into rooms. Not mentioning that girl mismatched names and gave wrong wifi passes, I found that was charged 3 times - 1 time for $250 and 2 time for $75 each. I came down to reception to talk to manager and he told me it's a fine for noshow........
Thats fraud, because even boarding starts at 14.00 usually, how co=ould fine be applied? When I argued, they told fine would be cancelled, but they cancelled only one, $75 is still on hold.

Do not even come close to shi hotel, fraud is everywhere!

not the first time i’m staying at this hotel, high value for the overall deal considering the price versus the facilities of the hotel, minor improvement suggested is to install electric sockets near the bed for the sake of convenience.

One deep minus for this booking. I checked in at midnight 1am while being considerably tired and sleepy. However, the reception couldn’t locate my booking with the booking no. I’ve provided. They took quite a while to process my check in and, to my surprise they doubled my deposit from CNY 500 to CNY1000 and that’s more than double of the price I paid for the room. Their staff claimed it as not an issue cause the deposit will be fully refunded at check out but i felt deeply offended with the low efficiency of service and fairness of treatment experienced.

Old smelly room with mould in the bathroom. Should really consider changing carpet and bed, pillows and sheets. We felt insect bites under blankets and red dots on skin the next day. ??? Mites.

It’s an amazing building with good facilities and an amazing view. However, paying 400-500 for a tiny room with a tiny bed that smells a little isn’t worth it. Especially, when their competitors can offer a similar price with a fantastic room like the Novotel I stayed in last time. I’d happily pay 300-370 for this room.

The hotel is old but quite well maintained, the staff is quite friendly and professional. The hotel has a deposit policy as expected however their enforcement is distasteful and it is common to see guests annoyed by the staff's level of tact. If you ordered a meal and that meal went $1 over your deposit they would interrupt your meal and ask you to leave the table and deal with the front desk or even cancel the room card when your wallet may be in the room. I would strongly suggest that you avoid this hotel because it is unique to this location.

Very close to Luohu commercial city and port. Only about 5 walk. But because we didn't know where it is when we arrived at Luohu's port from Hong Kong, we got ripped off by taxi driver, paying RMB 60 dollars.. Hence it will be good if the booking site shows travellers how to walk from Luohu's port.

The hotel is a big hotel . The front desk staff are not that friendly. No one smiles. The chines restuarant is over priced . The SPA is not good. They are always trying to sell you more then what you want. If your a business traveler i dont think its worth the money. Overall , the stay was pleasant. Wifi was decent, able to stream youtube video smoothly.

The amenities are sufficient. Just find the bed abit stiff to my liking. Other than that, the stay is comfortable overall. Didn't managed to try out the hotel buffet, will give it a try next time.

Remember to try out shangri la hotel Dim-Sum buffet near the train station. Better than laurel and atmosphere is great.

Take the Superior Suite- 1 queen bed, as this is the most comfortable type room with plenty of space. It is a quiet room, comfortable, and very clean.
The breakfast buffet is excellent, and the dinner one is very good too.
It is a convenient walk from the Lo Wu Train Station.
Wifi was excellent. Best value for Great Hotels at this location.

It was a nice stay - the hotel offered an upgrade for my 2-night stay. Breakfast was reasonablely good. The location is very close to the Low Wu boarder. Getting a taxi is easy at rush hour (8am).

It is near to the border between Luohu Shenzhen and Hong Kong. However, there is only one way to go from the hotel to the border crossing (or vice versa), unless you make a big detour. That one way involves walking up a long flight of steps. That is a big problem if you have heavier stuff to carry. That applies to taking the local trains and subway too.

Where this hotel thinks they are and where they really are in terms of service deluvery are miles apart. They advertise themselves as a hotel friendly to business teavelerz but nothing coukd be further from the truth. if ylu are headed to Shenzen for work there ate lots of other options. I woukd give this one a pass. The scorn with which this hotel will treat you will leave you feeling robbed.

Do call to get directions before attempting to walk from the Luohu Port or the train/underground station. It's only a few minutes walk from these locations, but one can be easily lost in the maze of tall structures.
