Chambres agréables, rénovée récemment, literie confortable, petit déjeuner varié.
Par contre il fait très chaud et lorsque l’on ouvre la fenêtre on a le droit aux bruits des bars et discothèques situés à proximité (hurlements, klaxon, etc jusqu’à 5h du matin). C’est dommage.

Good safe place to stay in Vannes

Excellent on site restaurant Edgars Brasserie. Hotel Breakfast was good. During Covid crisis you had to ask for your room to be made up rather than it being done every day automatically. This was not pointed out at check in. Parking good, not too far from town.

A good middle of the road hotel.
Communication with reception staff was tough, my fault for not speaking French in France so can't really hold that against them.
Rooms are basic, cheap furnishings.
Staff don't tend to clean up very often, so at breakfast most tables are covered in dirty plates, and the tables around the small reception bar covered in glasses.
Its a nice 20 minute walk into town, and the same in the other direction to a small beach.
Loads of parking was a plus.
NOT a gym. Unairconditioned room with a treadmill.

Unhappy stay!

Bed far to low and bathroom and separate toilet were a joke as I have utilised bigger shower cubicles than these two rooms combined!
Additionally, we requested a member of reception staff to book us a table at a particular restaurant for 8 pm our last night at the hotel and on checking all wad ok on our return from a days golf at 6.15 pm we were assured it was booked and fine, imagine my frame of mind when we get a phone call from hotel reception at 7.20 pm to tell us that it actually is not as we have not been booked in to the restaurant and it is now full, thus leaving us 20 minutes to find another suitable restaurant in Vannes, this on a Saturday night!
To say I was totally and completely unimpressed is a vast understatement, to the point I will never stay in this hotel again and will warn all our friends off it as well!

Fairly new hotel near the inlet to the marina. Good base for visiting the town. Plenty of free parking space. Nice walks along the water side. Rooms ok. Breakfast was expensive.

Modern, comfy hotel in Vannes

Just stayed the one night. Really comfy, modern room. Good breakfast - big spread of stuff. Plenty of parking space. Bit out of town and restaurant wasn't open so getting dinner was a bit tricky. Nice view of port and sea though.

Great hotel, rooms and staff. Easy bus transport into the town from right outside the hotel so you can forget the car. Just a little noisy if you like sleeping with the windows open due to the night club about 100 yards away! If you like sleeping with the windows closed, no problem! Thanks for the stay.

I would have appreciated an outlet to plug in my computer on my side of the king bed, there was only one on the telephone side and plenty on the desk…
The toilet is separated from the bathroom, that I appreciate, but it was very narrow and not the easiest of access,…
Personel was very kind and professional & the area was very secure.
I would not hesitate to return to this hotel.

Golfe de Morbihan Gateway

I chose this hotel because it is only 100 meters from the ferry dock for the islands in the Gulf of Morbihan where I was spending a week. Besides the convenient location, it turned out to be an excellent hotel from all points of view and with a nice restaurant attached to it as well. It was also a pretty easy walk into downtown Vannes - maybe 25 minutes. The only down side is that it is a long way from the Vannes train station if you have luggage to carry and there isn't a direct bus from the train station to the ferry dock so it is either a taxi or rent a car.

Nice hotel - shame about the restaurant bill!

We ordered and enjoyed a well-cooked set menu for two in the hotel restaurant, but were most disappointed on receipt of the bill and payment by card, to find we had been overcharged (by several euros). This had resulted from the inclusion of items which should have been part of the set menu. Unfortunately, although the staff immediately returned the outstanding amount in cash, no explanation or apology was offered. All that was said was \"oh, it was a mistake, here is the money you are due.\" But one should not have to add up the restaurant bill and such an incident colours one's overall impression.

A base to explore

Staff were very helpful & informative, both at Reception & in the restaurant; housekeeping were thorough & friendly also. Food was great & we enjoyed the recommendations of the staff.
The gift on arrival - a Mercure bag with bottles of water - we weren't expecting these & it was a lovely touch! We drove from Rennes to see the countryside & find Chateau du Hac at Le Quiou before arriving in Vannes. The following day was a day trip to Quiberon & Belle Isle, & on the day we left, we looked around Campeneac on the way back to Rennes; so much to see - fantastic!

We chose the Mecure Vannes Le Port because it offered free parkiing and a good price for a twin room. It was a good decision because parking and driving in Vannes itself looked very difficult and although a couple of kilometers from town it was a pleasant walk along the river. The hotel staff were very helpful and most spoke good English or could find someone who could. The hotel restuarant was good and there is a wide selection of restaurants in Vannes, we had an excellent meal at Brasserie de Halles in the rue des Halles which was recommened in the AA Guide.

Stayed in Vannes Mercure for one night April 2010, very disappointed with over all standard of room, very grubby. Paint peeling off window surrounds in corridor, stained carpets, generally a poor standard. Hotel expensive for the standard of room. Internet access in rooms expensive. Website photographs of rooms misleading. Wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Hôtel situé dans un endroit calme tout en étant pas très loin du centre ville (5 mn à pied). Le personnel est accueillant , souriant et disponible. Ma famille et moi avons aussi beaucoup apprécier le brasserie Edgar de l'hôtel qui bien en sous effectif nous a parfaitement reçu avec gentillesse et professionnalisme. Je vous remercie tous pour ce merveilleux séjour en Bretagne.

Le personnel est tres gentil et compétent.

2 points negatifs néanmoins :
Fenêtres anciennes qui laissent passer le bruit et le vendredi et samedi soir il y a une boite de nuit juste a cote. La sortie de boite au mileiu est bruyante
Quelques finitions a revoir dans la rénovation (interrupteur et plaintes mal fixées)

Hôtel pas tout neuf : wc minuscule, il faut se contorsionner pour pouvoir fermer la porte !
Lit avec 2 matelas : j'aime MAIS, un coté était bon et l'autre bien fatigué !! A ce prix là : inacceptable !
De ce même coté du lit : une énorme tache sur la moquette !! Cette chambre devrait être refaite ou archi soldée.
Je ne conseille pas cet hôtel.
Le pdj était bien mais que de passage de vaisselle ! et même d'un ouvrier avec un souffleur de feuilles !

Hôtel un peu loin du centre-ville mais parfaitement situé pour les croisières.

Chambre spacieuse et propre, bonne literie.

On aurait pu être prévenu que la clim était en panne à notre arrivée, manque d'attentions pour le client. Après une nuit passée fenêtre ouverte avec le pub dont l'activité termine à 2h du matin, on s'entend dire le matin : \"ah oui elle est en panne depuis plus d'une semaine on attend une pièce... \". On réclame plusieurs fois des bouteilles d'eau dans la chambre, le fauteuil est elimé, dans la douche une bouteille de gel pour les mains en tant que gel douche et shampooing,. Ça ne mérite pas 4 étoiles...

Chambre defraichie, vitres sales, moquette tachée, bref tres decevant pour un 4 étoiles... une remise à niveau s'impose ou alors il faut le redescendre en catégorie Ibis (et encore, niveau chambre, nombre d'Ibis sont mieux). Sinon, bien placé, proche du port et des croisières, grand parking, à 5 minutes a peine du Centre Ville en voiture. Petit dejeuner ok, Accueil tres correct. Dommage que la chambre ne soit pas en rapport...

Sous prétexte de mesures sanitaires, les chambres ne sont pas nettoyées. Des serviettes de bains changées auraient été les bienvenues au minimum. Manque de personnel, réduit au strict minimum... Restaurant fermé, bien qu'il aurait été possible de consommer son repas en chambre. Déçu, d'autant plus au regard du prix des chambres. La crise sanitaire ne peut pas tout expliquer et cette enseigne devrait s'adapter au voyageurs d'affaires qui font tourner leurs établissements en temps normal.

J’ai l’habitude de réserver dans des hôtels Mercure pour le confort et le calme.
J’avais spécifié que je demandais une chambre particulièrement silencieuse.
En arrivant j’ai à nouveau mentionné ce point, inquiète de la présence sonore de la fête foraine. Malgré les assurances de votre hôtesse notre chambre se trouvait pile face à la fête. J’ai demandé à changer. La nouvelle chambre bien que plus éloignée restait très bruyante .J’ai dû demander des boules Kies...
Cela aura été une vraie nuisance pour ce week-end en couple qui se voulait très reposant...

Mercure hôtel à Vannes très moyen

Chambre sombre, certes grande et propre mais vue glauque sur le parking. Personnel du petit déjeuner épouvantable. Nous avons eu de la chance de ne pas nous faire gifler le matin quand nous demandions du lait ou des œufs parce que le réassort ne suivait pas. Tarif de 15 euros pour le petit dej / personne parfaitement prohibitif.
Cadre général très sombre, ascenseur vétuste, limite sale.
Nous ne retournerons pas dans cet hôtel et ne le conseillons pas.

Personnel accueillant et chaleureux. Excellente insonorisation des chambres à la décoration un peu froide. Literie très confortable, chambre spacieuse, douche parfaite, mais pas de produit de bain alors qu'il y a une baignoire et pas de cosmétiques après douche/bain.
Petit déjeuner buffet complet, produits gouteux et salle de restauration agréable avec un personnel souriant et professionnel.
Anecdote : première nuit prise sur Expédia et seconde à l'hôtel. 20 euros d'écart. Dommage que rien n'ait été proposé. Cela conduit à ne pas simplement prolonger, mais à retourner sur des sites de réservation.
La situation de l'hôtel par rapport au vieux port de Vannes implique de marcher ou d'utiliser sa voiture rien de rédhibitoire mais dont il faut tenir compte selon les nécessités qui vous y conduisent et le stationnement en ville qui reste délicat.
En résumé une expérience à renouveler.

Correct mais pas exceptionnel

L’établissement date et cela se ressent même si quelques rénovations ont été faites. Loin de tout, vous êtes condamné à dîners sur place si vous nous souhaitez pas prendre la voiture. Cher, le plateau de fruit de mer n’était pas des meilleurs.

Séjour d'une seule nuitée pour raison professionnelle. Stationnement facile. Gros complexe hôtelier. Accueil agréable et enregistrement très rapide. Chambre standard classique mais propre. Calme et sdb avec douche. Lavabo et douche non bouchés. Wi-Fi opérationnel et de qualité. Restauration à la brasserie Edgar installée au pied de l'hôtel. Buffet du petit-déjeuner de qualité et varié. Bref, un très agréable séjour.

Tout etait parfait sauf qu’à l’issue de la premiere nuit, le personnel a tout simplement oublié de faire la chambre! Etonnant pour un hôtel de cette catégorie.
Pour le reste, à signaler un petit déjeuner excellent
