Just across the road from the old medieval town centre. 10 minute walk to marina waterfront. Very clean and friendly staff. Good breakfast. Parking for a fee €15. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby

Very handy for the old town, which is beautiful, has lots of good restaurants, bijoux shops, and a great market.
Rooms are clean. Decent sized shower with good water pressure. Sensible checkout time (noon).
But...
Standard room is very small, has no tea/coffee making, small thin towels, not enough hooks or electricity sockets.
Underground parking is charged, but the pedestrian door is often left unlocked so the car's contents are at risk. Free underground parking a short walk away.

Friendly staff. Good English skillls. Very clean room though a bit stark in its decor. Quiet. Very good selection of TV channels including BBC 1 and 2. More than one chair would have been nice as this was a double room. The room was big enough for it. No bathroom, but I didn't mind. Some might. An easy walk from the railway station. Town centre very close.

We asked for specific rooms to cater for our family, who travelled with us. We also asked for reserved car parking. All our requests were met, which made our holiday stress-free. We’ve been here five times before, and would certainly return in the future.

Visit to Vanne on French Roadtrip.

Brilliantly located hotel within minutes of the old town and an easy ramble down to the quaiside. Friendly staff and warm welcome. Understandably, restirctions in place due to Covid resulted in limited services being available (housekeeping etc.) but reassuring.
Stayed 2 nights, onsite parking. Would book again.

Very good location, a short walk from the wonderful Old Town. Parking available, 10 Euros/day, but you can park free in the Palais des Arts covered park 2 mins walk away.
Room clean and modern. It was the cheapest, so no coffee-making, but our incredibly helpful receptionist loaned us a kettle.
One of the best hotel showers - roomy and strong.
Just one criticism: when we took our suitcase off the top of the shelf unit we were showered with dust and fluff (it still clings to my woollen overcoat), so cleaning the unseen areas could have been better.

Just what I wanted.

The receptionist was very welcoming when I arrived and suggested and arranged a taxi to the railway station when I left at the end of my stay. The accommodation is really well designed with separate toilet and bathroom and the best shower unit of any hotel I have visited. The room was kept spotlessly clean throughout my four-day stay. The room had air conditioning so it was possible to shut the windows at night so there was no noise, either from outside the building or inside the hotel. The bed was very comfortable so I slept well. Breakfast was good, and available early.

air conditioning had broken down - so solution was to give bottles of water. As was hot, rooms were hot. On saturday party in/next to hotel with music tom 1pm. as windows had to be open hard to sleep. Advertise car parking at additional cost but not available.

Rooms otherwise were quite small but clean and comfortable. Even without the aircon problem would probably try somewhere else.

Lovely hotel. Very close to all attractions.

This is a quality hotel, but it lacks air conditioning. They only got room circulation fans built in. The outside tempature was in the 34 deg mark, and at bed time we had to open windows to try and cool the place down. Which wouldn't of been a problem, but the outside traffic was noise was unbelievabley load. With motor bikes, lorry and car noises, plus any emergency services adding to it. Out of four nights stay, we only got one decent night sleep.
It's a shame as this hotel is excellent in all the other areas.

Awful hotel, unfriendly staff, no AC and noisy

This hotel is the worst we have stayed in for a long time. The rooms are minuscule and the AC was not working on any of the three days we were there. Each day we were told it would be repaired - but it wasn't. We stayed the first night in the front facing room with the window open but the traffic noise was awful so that and the heat kept me awake all night. They grudgingly moved us to a room at the back after this, but this faces onto a college with tannoy and social area, and the small courtyard where bikes were revving up all day and night. There are no refreshments and no fridge in the room so it was unbearable. The staff were unsympathetic and unhelpful. Parking is only available for about ten cars - ridiculous for a hotel of this size, and we were told we had to park on the street (meter two hours maximum) or quite some way away. We stayed for three nights in two rooms so would have expected better for the amount of money we paid. Overall, I was very glad to leave and will definitely not be staying in this hotel chain again as the lack of in-room facilities and bad staff attitude in both Escale Oceania hotels we stayed in on our trip have put us off completely. They are little better than Formule 1 but a LOT more expensive - and at leat Formule 1 has parking! The beds in both hotels we stayed in are rock hard and so uncomfortable to sleep in - if the heat and noise would let you that is.

The hotel is situated literally in the center of the city. When you arrive by car you have two choices for parking : the hotel parking and the public parking which is free starting 7 P.M. through the night. The breakfast was very good including pancakes and other pastries. The staff is pleasant and very helpful in all the aspects.

Very good stay and so nice to have coffee/tea making facility in the room with fresh milk available from the kitchen. The hotel restaurant is adequate should you not fancy the short walk down to the many restaurants in the town.
Breakfast was excellent but do not leave it too late as the buffet did not appear to be refreshed after 0900.

We had stayed here before some years ago and chose the hotel for its location and based on our previous experience. The hotel is maintained to a high standard and the staff are attentive and friendly. Breakfast is the normal buffet style with fresh items being brought out continually rather than having food sit on display for several hours. It can get a bit hectic in the breakfast room after 9.00 a.m. which when the majority of guests seem to come down, but you don't have to wait more than a few minutes for a table to be made available. The rooms are a bit small but are comparable with similar type hotels such as the Ibis chain. Beds were very comfortable and the rooms were spotlessly clean with regular changes of linen during our ten day stay. We stayed ten days and rarely used the car other than for a day trip to Nantes and to do some wine shopping at the Leclerc hypermarket on the last day. We spent most days walking along the Gulf and also taking a boat trip out into the Gulf with a brief stop on one of the islands.

Modern, clean hotel, near centre of Vannes. Parking at hotel. With roof-box, parking on other side of road, free between 19:00 and 09:00. Helpful staff. Good breakfast. Kettle, cups in room. No tea-bags for those who must have their tea. Take your own! Definitely, would stay there , again.

Not for those wanting a hotel with character. Very modern, everything worked well. Tight and expensive on-site parking, and an excellent but again expensive breakfast. Bathroom had really good large walk-in shower and a separate toilet. Well placed to be able to walk into town to eat and drink.

Located only a 5 minute walk from the old city and about a 25 minute walk from the train station. Really helpful and friendly staff. The room was nice although did smell of cigarettes. It would have been nice to have a kettle in the room as drinks in the hotel were very expensive.

Having recently had ankle surgery, I did not appreciate having to hang on to anything to stop myself from slipping on the unsafe shower flooring! I survived to thoroughly enjoy my stay in the improved version of 'Hotel Mascotte'!

One of better hotels on our Brittany trip

The hotel had both an elevator and air-conditioning - not available at most of the other hotels we stayed at during our 2 week Brittany trip. It was also a very easy walk to the charming Old Town. Although the web site mentions paying 10 euro for parking, it is not necessary since there is a free lot not far away and parking on the street is safe and free from 7 PM to 9 AM. The staff was helpful. Breakfast was not included but there is free wifi and a PC you can use at any time. They also give out free newspapers.

The room was comfortable and clean, and the hotel has been refurbished in a modern style. It's 5-10 minutes from the old part of Vannes with all the restaurants, shops and quayside bars. There is onsite secure parking for a reasonable fee, and there is also a large public underground parking facility adjacent to the hotel. It is on a main road, but is quiet overnight, with good double-glazing. The usual French style buffet breakfast was provided. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and spoke good English.

disappointment for this renovated hotel

the room was much too small for a twin ( 1 normal bed and 1 bed for a child....) . we could not walk around the beds, nor could we us the desk. the shower had not been maintained. no parking area to park when arriving at the hotel on a very busy road. Hotel is not recommanded for families or leisure. does not deserve 3 star rating.

部屋は広くて、小綺麗だった。防音もしっかりしていて基本静かだった。
ただ冷蔵庫も湯沸器もないし、二人用の部屋なのに椅子が1つしかないから部屋で寛ぐには色々足りない。ペットボトルのお水が毎日補充されていたのはありがたい。

*Die Klimaanlage ist an beiden Tagen total ausgefallen und anscheinend besteht das Problem schon seit mehreren Tagen….wir haben eine Entschädigung erhalten (Dankeschön!), aber es war natürlich bei diesen hohen Temperaturen trotz Ventilator nicht sehr angenehm!
Dieser Aspekt ist nicht in die Bewertung eingeflossen, da das Personal das best Mögliche unternahm, um es den Gesten angenehm zu machen! …. Und die Verantwortung liegt beim Hauptsitz der Hotelkette in Brest und nicht vor Ort…. Zufällig (oder auch nicht), war am nächsten Tag in einer anderen Stadt bei derselben Hotelkette die Klimaanlage komplett ausgefallen….!!

Hotel de 3 * correcto, teniamos habitación premium con cafetera Nespresso y capsulas nespresso pero no hay caja fuerte. El sofa cama suerte que no ltuvimos que utilizar pues sentarse en el ya era muy incomodo. La información dice que esta a dos pasos del centro pero con una subida pronunciada para el que tiene alguna dificultad, para ir al centro has de cruzar una avenida donde los coches pasan muy rápido. Al marchar del hotel hemos pedido un taxi para ir a la estación que esta muy cerca a 2km a pie pero en subida , el recepcionista nos ha llamado a un taxi privado que nos ha cobrado 20 euros, segun el taxista es la tarifa convenida con el hotel. Me parace iintolerable y poco etico .
