A beautifully presented hotel.
The room was immaculate, as was everywhere else in the hotel. Oodles of hot water in the well-appointed bathroom. Comfortable bed with good pillows.
The staff cannot be faulted and I'd like to pay a particular compliment to Arthur, on reception when we checked in, for his service which went above and beyond.

Overall the stay was fine. Needed to change rooms initially because of a noisy generator. Very small fitness area and the sauna/hammam is only accessible for an extra fee. The bed was comfortable, although the water pressure for the shower wasn't great. Staff were nice. Check-out at 12 was convenient.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights in what was supposedly the largest room and it had an incredibly strange layout. The toilet and closet were by the front door and then you walked down a hallway to get to the bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom was large but again the layout was strange. Also, the room was on the 5th floor but the elevator only goes to the 4th floor, so we had to walk up a spiral staircase (with all our luggage) to get to our room.

We were pleasantly surprised to see the bathroom had a large jacuzzi tub and walk in shower. The double sink vanity was also a nice touch.

Overall the hotel was good. It's on the perimeter of the historical center (~3-5 minute walk to get there). There wasn't much charm in the hotel or the room but it was pretty clean and they provided bath robes and slippers. The AC worked and the windows blocked out the sound. And we got a nice view of the historic center. The bed was comfortable and large.

There was no shampoo or conditioner (it was a body wash/shampoo mix) and there was no body lotion - just something to keep in mind.

The staff were very nice and helpful (a little too helpful). I asked for a second keycard the following day since we only received one at checkin. I offered to show them my license, but they didn't want to see it. They asked for no info and just handed me over a key. A different woman who checked us in, in the evening was a hoot and helped us park the car (the garage is very narrow but it is France).

Be aware that parking on site has to be pre-booked.
To use the steam room and Sauna is not included in the room price. The reception staff were very helpful and the room was clean. The centre of the town is only a few minutes away.

I loved my stay here for three nights. Street parking was convenient, and it's an easy walk to the walled city. They serve a very good breakfast and have a bar for a nightcap. I loved the lay out of the room. The people at reception were kind and helpful.

This hotel isn't located on an especially lovely block, but it is within a block of the walled old town and harbor. We stayed during the pandemic of 2020 and they did a very good job of protecting their guests while still delivering in person front desk and breakfast services. The room was clean and comfortable.

Charming and thoroughly helpful staff. Easy....I mean really easy check in...good value breakfast. The room was a little jaded around the edges, but we felt the value for money was outstanding...we’d stay again. If you want honest, real and friendly charm, and don’t need tiny bottles of fancy shampoos in your room, this is the place to stay in Vannes.

Nice little hotel, a 5-minute walk away from the Vannes old town area, in a good commercial neighborhood. The room was small, on par with French size standards, and the bathroom was large. It was comfortable and clean. We did not have breakfast on site as there is a bakery across the street. Parking is on the street. Staff was helpful and friendly. Would stay there again.

There is limited hotel parking, but we got spots on the street without an issue. The reception sent us to the bakery across the street for change for the meter -a bit ridiculous. The elevator is so small that only one of us could fit with a big suitcase, and we are not big people!
The room was clean and nicely appointed, but very small. In addition, the noise transmission between rooms was annoying; fortunately our fellow guests did not blare TVs and the like, yet we could hear lots of movement around us.

Difficult due to a heat wave

I don't want to write a negative review because what we experienced in terms of weather conditions was truly exceptional and unlikely to be repeated more than once or twice a year. The thermometer on the pharmacy across the road went up to 40 degrees on one day! However, if you visit during the summer months you may have to take into account that the rooms have no air conditioning and there are no fans in the rooms.

I stayed for three nights and rarely slept for more than a couple of hours without having to take a shower even in the middle of the night. However, it is in a good location, there's secure parking as long as you don't have a tall vehicle (we just got our Ford Galaxy in but it needed one to drive and the other to get out and guide the driver for overhead obstacles). There is a Eu 6.50 per night charge for this though. Parking is free on the street up until 0900 hrs.

Probably the only other word of warning is to take the breakfast cost into consideration when assessing the overall cost of the stay. I think Eu 9.50 is a bit steep for that class of hotel and this needs to be factored into your budget.

However, the staff are great and location is pretty central for everything and easy walking distance of the railway station and old town. I would recommend it even taking into account the above considerations.

We have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions, and find the hotel location, excellent for exploring Vannes. The secure parking is an additional benefit.

The staff are very helpful, and friendly, and able to assist with any language (French/English) issues.

The rooms are very comfortable, and spotlessly clean. Top marks throughout.

We found our way on foot from the train station. It was downhill going there, so no problem for the luggage (but we got dropped off on the way back, so I did not experience trying to drag the luggage uphill). Room was quite small, but it had everything it needed, including an en-suite bathroom. Free wireless worked fine. Front desk staff quite friendly. The hotel is also located just 5 minutes walk from the old town, so if you have a little bit of free time to look around, everything is right there.

Très bien situé: près de la gare et près de la vieille ville et du port. Suggestion (chambre 503): mettre des crochets dans les chambres pour accrocher le manteau ou autres vetements. Ex. grand pan de mur quand on entre où on pourrait avoir ces crochets. Sous la télé il y aurait eu de la place pour une tablette qui aurait servi de bureau et permis de poser le portable. des cintres sont présents mais tellement bas sous un module d'appoint qu'on veut rien y mettre. Il y a place à optimiser le rangement dans les chambres pour pas cher. Tout le reste était vraiment très bien !

Hôtel pas à la hauteur des ses prétentions!
Nous avons été accueillis par un jeune homme chauve à la barbe fournie pas très aimable (pour ne dire avec un comportement discriminatoire).
A notre grande surprise, alors que nous avions pré-payé l’intégralité du séjour, il nous a été demandé une caution de 150 euros , et cela sans faire aucun état des lieux avec signature des 2 parties, est-ce vraiment une pratique commerciale légale ? La raison était que nous étions suspecté d’être délinquants et pouvions dégrader la chambre. C’est la première fois que l’on est traité de la sorte dans un hôtel. Cette histoire de caution n’est mentionnée ni sur hôtels.com, ni sur le site internet de l’hôtel!
De plus le site internet nous vante « Literie haut de gamme et ultra-confort, », j’ai très mal dormi pendant 2 nuits. Même si le matelas est confortable, on ne pas en dire du reste: oreillers pas du tout confortable, couette trop épaisse ( trop chaud dessous, trop froid sans) et draps même pas 100% coton!
Et pour terminer quand nous sommes rentrés à l’hôtel le second jour, nous avons trouvé des détritus sur la moquette de la chambre ( cotons tiges utilisés le matin et mis dans la poubelle de SDB). Donc le ménage est apparemment fait à la va-vite.
En conclusion, seul le petit déjeuner est à la hauteur de ce qui est vanté
Si vous allez à Vannes, choisissez plutôt un autre hôtel!

quand je suis arrivé à l'hotel, on m'a avisé que ma réservation avait été annulé par WebBeds (???). J'ai du refaire une réservation dans une chambre plus chère et payer a nouveau. Je comprend pas qui est WebBeds, et comment ils ont pu annuler ma reservation. Qui va me rembourser le payment, car j'a payé deux fois, une fois en faisant la réservation, et une autre à l'hotel.

Nous avons été globalement déçus de cet hôtel.
J'ai mis une note moyenne et non pas médiocre car le tarif est assez bas.
Nous avions une chambre au 4eme sous les toits où nous avons souffert atrocement de la chaleur, surtout pendant la nuit. Même avec fenêtre ouverte, où le bruit de la rue est insoutenable. Evitez donc le 4eme étage, il fera peut être moins chaud dans la chambre. Par contre, le problème étant récurrent, il aurait été judicieux de la part de l'Hotelier de mettre à disposition des ventilateurs , faute de climatisation. Par ailleurs, la propreté était médiocre, avec des tâches collantes sur la moquette devant le minibar ( vide d'ailleurs ). Pas de bouilloire. Impossible de ne pas participer aux allers-venues des voisins aux toilettes puisque les canalisations faisaient un bruit épouvantable. Le petit déjeuner à éviter, un Colombus café à 200 mètres sera bien plus apprécié.En effet, on vous propose un bout de pain et un croissant, ni plus, ni moins. Les fruits limite , complètements fripés . Bref, pas glorieux. Quand au personnel, les jeunes sympathiques, les moins jeunes......pas top. On nous a pas demandé comment le séjour s'était passé, je pense qu'ils connaissaient la réponse. Le seul point positif était l'emplacement à proximité de tout et la possibilité de se garer pour 7.5 euros par jour.

Très bien situé dans le centre de Vannes. Silencieux, bien insonorisé (alors que ma chambre donnait sur la rue! ) personnel agréable.

Etablissement très bien situé..Décoration et équipements qui mériteraient un sérieux rafraîchissement pour être au gout du jour Douche au lieu de baignoire Peintures et tapisseries ..
