The staff was courteous. Check in and check out were quick and easy. I left bags for a few hours and that was not a problem.
The room was very clean. The only thing to know about the hotel is that the building itself is 5 or 7 sided, so the rooms have strange angles. For example, the bathroom seems small for the size of the room, but that is only because of the odd shape of the entire room.
The location is excellent. Steps from the main train station and a quick walk to the downtown core.
20 minute walk to the outskirts of Radboud University.

Enjoyed the ready welcome process since it was a late arrival. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room pretty clean and did find it a bit could, and took awhile to discover the heating system so I had a cozier room, but all in all very pleasant stay.

The hotel is amazing! The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The location is perfect if you want outside of the tourist areas but close enough to walk to everything. Bonus is the train station is on the next block! The staff was incredible and I highly recommend the breakfast!

Remarkable STAFF

An outstanding hotel! Top notch staff - EVERY person made you feel they really worked to make your stay was the best. The checkin, breakfast staff, and front desk at checkout (Ozen was very helpful!!). If you are visiting here - this is the best place for business or family stay.

Very nice bed. Exceptional blackout curtains if you wish to sleep in. above average front desk and kitchen staff.
The most amazing breakfast I have ever seen / eaten.
Main negatives are (1) non-secure wifi (2) really bad desk position screwed to floor, that blocks mobility around room and prevents desk use (laptop) while watching TV. Desk needs to be turned 90 deg. (3) super slippery bathtub - needs a bath mat or better, permanent friction strips on tab

Efficient and friendly check in. Room and bathroom a bit cramped (where to open suitcase?). Great but pricey breakfast available. Nice bar. Amenities good. Good value. Very clean and up to date chain hotel. Although near train station, no noise when windows closed. Finding the driveway access was a bit tricky because of bicycle paths so dominant in Netherlands.

Which is always clean and tidy just like the Mercure.Breakfast is very Good with hot bacon and eggs fruits and very good pastry,s it's in a very good location for the centre which can be walked in 5<>10 min
The main bus stop is next to the train station making for easy access to the surrounding towns like Beek and Berg en Dal and Buinigen which are all worth a visit.Nice Hotel Friendly Staff .. Great Stuff

The location of Mercure City hotel is perfect, with easy access to train station (very short walk), buses and walking distance to Nijmegen center. I stayed at this hotel for 8 nights as I had training at Radboudumc. The hotel is clean, safe and has good food options for breakfast and dinner (during weekdays). I would definitely stay again at Mercure City Nijmegen Centre Hotel.

Very close to the station. A bit dated and room not very large. Was clean, shower was good and room quiet. It was a good, average hotel, suitable for our overnight but not exceptional.
Check in guy was very nice, competent and friendly. Breakfast included had a good selection, my vegan friend would have liked some more options though.

I normally stay at Marriott properties but chose the Mercure due to proximity of the Nijmegen train station. The room was a good value but the staff was incredibly warm and very service oriented from all aspects including check in, restaurant and guest services. I would highly recommend this property for anyone staying in the area.

Right next to train station, very close to center, the location is perfect. The hotel is very clean, staffs are very kind and friendly. I especially like the idea that you can get 5 euro coupon to use in lounge back if you don't need them to clean your room. I didn't use those coupons, but I think it's a very good idea for both the environment and clients.

Convenient and feels brand new

The location right next to the station is excellent. It's pretty near the access roads to the A73 as well, and the car park is right outside is secure. You can walk into town in 5 minutes, and be right down at the river in 10.

If you're a British driver you might find the car park entrance a little tough to find - the sign is quite small, and it appears to involve turning left in the middle of the road and driving over pavements!

Sauna is amazing, and you effectively book it for private use for an hour. Would be great to have roof access in good weather as well. Fitness room is in the same area, an exercise bike and a Nordic tracker with a TV.

Breakfast was good, but like others have said, I'm not sure it's worth 17 euros when the hot food is quite limited (scrambled eggs, bacon, little chicken sausages, no à la carte options) and the coffee is all out of machines rather than fresh. But there is a good variety of meats and cheeses, pastries and fresh fruit, cereals and a fresh orange juice machine.

All staff I met were exceptional. Warm welcomes, very efficient and helpful, excellent English although hugely appreciative of my terrible efforts in Dutch - one guy even walked me out into the street to show me how to find the nearest gas station because the streets are a bit of a maze of tram tracks and bridges right outside.

Rooms feel brand new, and I like the 5 EUR bonus idea if you opt not to have your room serviced one day. Fridge v handy as well.

Everything was very good especially the soundproofing for the rooms. The breakfast was a good selection of hot and cold food with a machine that gave fresh squeezed orange juice. Next to train station and bus line. Only negative was the pillows....they need more support.

On booking I had an option of a twin or double. So I selected a double. When I got there they had allocated me a single, because the electrics in the bathroom didn’t work in the room I was allocated. On pointing out I had booked a double, they gave me the key for this room too, so I could sleep there, but shower in the single room - not exactly convenient. Turned out this was a twin room. Apparently they claimed the can select to give you a twin or double, regardless of what you have booked, I did get a double. But I won’t be going back

Comfortable and relaxing

This hotel was perfect for my stay of 3 nights. The room was functional with table space to work on. Bed very comfortable. The heating was high as weather cold outside but easily adjustable. I stayed in double room alone and space was ok but may have been a little cramped for two.TV has full range of UK channels which was relaxing on last night when the weather was too cold and miserable to go out. Ended up eating in the restaurant twice in separate evenings and found the service good. The prices for drinks were above average nearly skipped for that reason, however the quality was excellent both times. As they advertise wine cellar, those wines had a quite mark up but house wine more affordable though not cheap compared outside restaurants. Beer ditto would walk to town for better value if wanted one. Breakfast had something for everyone and as buffet you was not left wanting. Overall the hotel had relaxed friendly and professional atmosphere. As for location very handy being next to Central station so easy access to other areas of town if needed to use public transport. However not completely central for shops and restaurants. The hotel had overpriced little shop for snacks and drinks. Some snacks at the station. The first shops were not far in reality maybe 5-10 mins but the weather as it was bitterly cold a bit of deterrent after busy day of meetings. A nice touch there was an empty fridge to use in the room if you got drinks or food. Overall good stay would return.

Stayed here for 12 days while using local medical facilities. Fantastic large and attentive staff. Room was big enough for us, with storage, table, small frig, great lighting. Allowed us to eat some meals in the room comfortably. Bathroom only had shower, but very clean. Nice sauna and some workout equip. Location perfect and convenient next to train and buses. Worried about noise and commotion, but very quiet. We were extremely happy with our stay.

Lovely hotel next to railway station.

Nijmegen - What a city, It's got everything, beautiful buildings, forests and even beaches.
We hired some bikes out for the weekend from the bike shop at the side of railway station.
This enabled us to cycle out of the city for a few miles to some stunning places. The hotel is excellent, staff are all really friendly and helpful and the rooms are lovely and clean with comfy beds. Will definitely be going back there in the future.

Very nice hotel close to transportation.

Our trip goal was to see family. The hotel was centrally located for this. Trains and buses were close and convenient. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. The staff were excellent; pleasant, helpful and accommodating. It was very convenient to have a restaurant in the hotel. The buffet breakfast was excellent. The few other meals we ate there were also excellent with very good service. The check in and check out was very efficient. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Arrived fairly late at night in the pouring rain. The front desk staff were very friendly. The rooms are modern and very comfortable . Coffee is provided to guests in the lobby in the morning. The bar area is very nice also with friendly and courteous staff. Very good business hotel.

Lovely Welcome

As I walked in one of the receptionists had just eaten a tangerine so could not serve me until she wiped her hands! LOL.
I immediately liked the reception staff because of my fun introduction to them!
Even though I was a bit early the receptionist then found me a vacant room after I told her I'd been travelling for many hours, she was SO helpful.
After that I was never going to write a bad review :)
