On se fait prendre de haut par la personne à l'accueil lors du check in...
Nous demandons où se trouve le parking car pas évident à trouver pour pouvoir se garer et surtout recharger notre véhicule ( bornes elec dispo sur le site). Bornes en travaux et donc il faut se débrouiller... à 20h00... on nous fait remarquer que l'on a un bon prix, eh bien oui, cest pour toutes les fois où l'on paye plein pot et meme le double quand les hôteliers profitent d'un salon pour gonfler les prix ! Nous demandons l'heure du petit dej car nous avions un timing tres serré et on nous annonce 6h30. A 6h31 on arrive au petit dej pour s'entendre dire que ca ouvre à 7h00... nous sommes partis sans déjeuner. Je passe sur la chaussette sale de nos prédécesseurs laissée dans la chambre. Pour un 4 étoiles... plus que moyen

When I walked in to check in it was really hot. Ask the hotel clerk and she said don’t worry rooms are cold. Well no where near to have cool air. Barely slept that night. Won’t go back and quite surprised this service under the Novotel chain

Disappointing and outdated

Very old and run down hotel. Depressing room, filthy carpet and out dated bathroom.
Sofa in lounge falling apart, smell of cigarette in hallways and elevator. Very basic furniture in room and below average furniture in lobby, hallways & bedroom. Bed, pillows and sheets were very confortable & clean towels. Everything else very disappointing.

The location is quite good since it is very close to the city center and the train station. The staff were very nice. But the room was not properly cleaned from the start and it was never cleaned during our stay. The toilet was always dirty, the sink still had tooth paste marks even after they claimed to clean the room, they didn’t change the towels for all the duration of our stay, they didnt replace the cups of coffee.

Don't go if you have a tall car or roofbox.

Nice hotel, food was good. The receptionist advised us not to park on the street but as we had a roof box, the underground car park wasn't an option. I didn't sleep well as we had been given the feeling our car was likely to get robbed.

A decent hotel for a stopover

One issue was with the parking. When I booked the free onsite parking was mentioned, however when we arrived staff told us that we need to pay for parking.
That service offering can be improved.
Also selection and variety for breakfast should be better, as it was of very limited choice

The only nice thing with this hotel was the people working there. Except from that - Only one towel, even they knew we were two. The dinner, the starter was good, but the dinner was not good at all. I left most of it. The breakfast was also a disappointment. I will not go back.

The room was dirty upon arrival. Food bits and hair on the floor and bedsheets. After reporting the problem the cleaning staff still did not vacuum the room two days in a row. Had to live with the previous occupants filth. The shower has black mold. The dining room was a disaster: long lines, understaffed, cold food and, again, hair in the food! Don't try to order breakfast in the room. Another disaster: late, cold, and not what I ordered. I hate to write this review because I've stayed here many times and it's sad that this Novotel Grenoble Centre has fallen so far so fast.

It was fine, but nothing too great. The staff was friendly, the cleaning people seemed to come and remake the beds and such, but I felt like the floors were not as clean as I would expect if they were vacuuming thoroughly each time between guests. I wish they would post online that their parking fee is 14 euros a night. That is quite pricey. I was thankful because they were accomodating when we discovered I had made a mistake on our check out day. They accomodated us, but at a very expensive price. Overall, it was a nice place, but left me wondering if we should have stayed somewhere else. Not sure I would recommend it to others.

Novotel with 4 stars but for me completely unclear why it has 4 stars. Employees were friendly but empty minibar (only water), limited breakfast, extremely noisy (not possible in the rooms to make phonecalls between 9am and 5pm due to reconstruction work in the whole building, noise was extremely loud), no view and no privacy due to reconstruction workers walking in front of the window at each floor. I understand that maintainence of the building is necesarry now and then but a clear warning in advance would be professional so we could have found another hotel...

Decent hotel if you are travelling with family. Basic rooms but every Novotel we have stayed in while in France has been a similar hotel. Extra bed is great. Train and bus station are right there beside the hotel, which is perfect for travellers. Great location for walking into town for a bite to eat.

Worst Novotel I've ever stayed in!
No effort was made to upgrade our room despite me writing emails informing them it was a special weekend for us!
Nothing special here at all!our room was by the lift!!
Only good thing was the gym.however my husband was even disappointed that there were no weights there!
Location was average!lots of construction going on! Still can't believe this is a Novotel!not good enough&very bad value for money!!!

Very convenient location next to train station, with a 15 minute walking distance into city center. The room on 9th floor was clean with great views on surrounding mountains. Staff is efficient and friendly. Breakfast buffet was good with hot and cold food. Overall a good hotel, a bit worn in places, I would not consider it 4 stars as advertised.

Frosty reception at check in on Thursday was made up for by general friendliness and helpfulness of all other staff. Hotel is in need of freshening up but provides decent accommodation nevertheless. Rooms are very clean, parking safe and convenient. We did not use the restaurant this time but friends told us food was good.

Stopover due to early train from Grenoble. 2 min walk from train station so very convenient. Room a good size with good bed with slightly odd memory-foam (?) style mattress. A well-used modern chain hotel and slightly grubby in parts (stained carpets etc). Room (in back) was quiet. Would use again for this reason and due to convenience and good value.

Stayed one night to catch bus to airport early the next morning. Room good, reception excellent (very helpful). Only minor problem was the bar area where service was rather slow and many tables had empty glasses on them left by previous customers. The bar staff seemed too busy also covering in the restaurant area.

Great hotel in this part of Grenoble

Stayed here for business and selected the hotel mainly based ion its loccation to the meeting venue than for any other reason. The hotel is pretty good and the rooms are ok. The bathrooms were recently rennovated and that was very good. The breakfast was of a high standard and the staff were helpful and friendly. If you need to stay in this part of Grenoble I would recommend considering this hotel.

The location is very convenient, arriving from LYS via the navette, and walking to the hotel. Many small bars and restaurants within walking distance. The bed was very comfortable, but the room was quite warm, even with the air conditioning turned down to 5, and it was too noisy to leave the window open.

Let down by the tea.

We were 5 members of the same family. We are all tea drinkers but both mornings the water for the tea was nearly cold At the really excessive price of €16.50 per head for breakfast it was so disappointing that we could not linger over a pot of tea especially on Christmas morning.
Apart from that we did enjoy our stay in the very pleasant surroundings of the hotel.

The executive room was clean and spacious but the air conditioning hardly works during the night even if it works well during the day. We kept the curtains closed during the day and the room was cool and feels nice. But at night the air conditioning hardly worked even though we did not change the setting at all. It is as if the hotel was trying to save energy costs by turning off or minimizing the air conditioning. It is a shame, because we like the hotel otherwise. It is hard to imagine a return trip when the room must have been over 78 degrees at nights, making it hard to sleep.

Bar staff have mysteriously disappeared!

Stayed at this nice hotel many times in the past but it seems the bar staff had mysteriously disappeared on this latest stay. Having eventually requested the presence of a bar person via reception, they took forever to arrive and he didn't care about serving in the order of who had been waiting longest. The wait was mildly entertaining though watching the barman precariously cutting slices of lime for the newcomers cocktails.
Obviously this wait could have avoided if I could have taken a drink from the mini bar in my room but sadly all that's in there is cold air, which I guess is similar to the main bar!

Very comfortable hotel, but located on the other side of the tracks from downtown, with an underpass access that is closed late at night. Then, you have to take a taxi (no obvious), the tramway or walk through a somewhat dreary area to get back to your room. There is not much to do or see in the area and the restaurants are not the best in Grenoble. On the other hand, the dowtown area is only a few blocks aways during the day and the tramway system is very efficient.

I have stayed in Novotel many times, the level of service is good; The rooms are clean and it is quiet. It is very convenient as it is close to the train station and our office. this time every time I needed something from the bar, I had to have the reception page the guy and that was a bit strange as it was morning /evening time and you would expect someone to be there. Beside that all was good

Quite an outstanding business hotel.

Very friendly reception staff. They respond to guests' requests very promptly and efficiently. I requested a late check-out until 16:00, and was granted to me on the spot (No... let me try! No.... let me ask my manager!).

Its location next to Grenoble Ecole de Management, was very convenient to me. My room was very well designed; reasonably spacious. I particularly like the bathroom design and its brownish color.

This hotel is about a 10 minute uninspiring walk to the downtown core. Lots of parking and check in was smooth. The room was clean and comfortable but somewhat sterile in appearance. Perhaps being attached to a large conference centre the hotel is focused on business people, not tourists. And not sure why this place is like a fortress but you have to buzz to get into the parking lot, buzz at the front door to get back into the hotel and enter a code in the elevator to access the parking lot. Made me wonder if I was staying in a high crime area.

Hotel and Staff are great.Only issue seems to be external noise from what must of been \"Students 1st week at Uni\". Good location, near the trams, Near to the the railway station and near to the bus/coach station.Have stayed in this hotel before and will stay there again but ask for a room above the third floor to minimise the noise from outside.
