This place was just OK. I know I'm in Europe, and I know I'm in an old part of France, but the room was so tiny. I could hardly move around. I mean, you know the place is small when you can't even move your legs to the front of the toilet because you're so close to the wall. The shower was super small, too. Another thing was that I was so tired because of jet lag that I hung the \"Do Not Disturb\" sign to take a nap, and the cleaning lady knocked on the door so loudly I almost jumped out of my bed - that's the whole reason I hung the sign up. My biggest problem was that I needed to leave one day early, and the hotel wouldn't allow me to change my day of departure. I still had to pay for a day I wasn't going to be there. I get it - I made the reservation - but come on. There are many other hotels that would be willing to work out a deal with you.

No electricity and no concern
We are used to get to this hotel each year going to our family ski trip but for the first time we are disapoint. Electricity was cut several times in the evening and the entire morning. The only thing we have as apologies was the technician will come in the afternoon. We took our showers in the dark. And the reception called us to free the room without any concern about electricity cut. A scandal

This is a lovely hotel - friendly, helpful and welcoming staff, great breakfast and comfortable rooms.
Unusually, and one of the reasons I chose it, was the bunk beds for the children which, according to my 17 year old son, were much more comfortable than the usual trolley or sofa bed he gets when we stay anywhere as a family.

Lovely hotel , don’t hesitate to book. Staff are most helpful. Beds are comfy. The only criticism would be that the rooms are very very small, only to fit a bed. However if you only intend to sleep there - they are fine. Beds are big and comfortable. Plenty of restaurants nearby. City centre 10 min walk. Train station 2 min walk. Tram stop right there. Grocery shop across the road. Very convenient! Highly recommend this hotel.

Rooms are really small, bathroom only have shower, no bathtub (maybe in their deluxe room, worth double checking). Generally clean and nicely decorated. To get yourself a cup of tea, you have to go all the way down to the reception/breakfast area then carry your hot beverage all the way back through the stairs (or lift). Rather hazardous actually !
Very average breakfast, limited choices, stale toast bread and not even fresh bread from a local bakery (in France !!), instead a tasteless freshly defrost sorry excuse of a baguette, worse than at your local Tesco !

I asked them for a complimentary breakfast, but they completely ignored me. I was subsequently charged EUR 14 (!!!) for a very questionable breakfast, while the cafe-brasserie next door (Bistrot Marcellus) can serve you a full one for EUR11 and the bakery next door (Boulangerie JM Coste) can offer fresh produce.
Although not fundamentally flawed, this hotel needs to up its game.

Great stay! Stayed 3 nights in hot weather but air conditioning worked well. Room was very comfortable, clean and modern. Had daily cleaning service. The hotel is walking distance to many sites and to the train/bus station. Front desk staff very friendly and professional. Was talking a later train in the afternoon but was able to store luggage at the hotel for a while.

Very nice hotel, close to train station and tram stops but a bit of a walk to the center of the old town. That was no problem for me, but others might prefer a different location. I split my stay between a standard room (booked by the company I came to Grenoble to interact with) and a superior room (which I booked for the night after my business concluded). The superior room was dramatically more comfortable: larger, better bathroom, better furnishings. Well worth the extra cost.

I loved everything about this place. It is very quiet, comfortable and walking distance to the train/bus station as well as downtown, all of which were real advantages. There is always tea and coffee available, and the breakfasts were great as well. The staff are helpful and kind. My room was a single, not particularly spacious though extremely well laid out and comfortable. The bed was nice and firm, there was a well-lit desk for my work, and the place was perfectly air conditioned. Everything was terrific. I plan to go back on my trip in November!

Small hotel no more than 5 minutes walk from the Grenoble train station, and thus also the tram system. Friendly helpful staff, who generally spoke good English if needed. Nice renovated front room. Enjoyable stay but parking is a mess
First, good things. Room was not huge but smartly laid out, so it felt spacious. Decor is charming and unique. Breakfast was basic but delicious. Staff was generally very helpful and nice. The biggest stress was checking in and parking. They do have about 10-12 small spots on site for €8 but this was not offered to me the first night, nor explained. The street in front is always packed so it was impossible for me to even drop off my bags. I was just told emphatically not to park on the street because multiple cars get broken into every day. I didn't believe it until another guest had her windows broken right across the street in broad daylight. Just odd, I otherwise never felt unsafe in Grenoble. There is a ramp nearby for €14/day and I eventually got a spot at the hotel. Can't really blame them, just know what to expect and perhaps contact them in advance to arrange.

Beautifully designed but not perfectly maintained
This is a stylishly designed hotel which gives an impression of high quality. However, this was let down by maintenance and cleaning issues in our room. The shower head (a disappointingly cheap plastic type) was broken, which caused water to spray over a large part of the bathroom. It surprised us that this could not simply be changed by taking one from another, unoccupied, room. To be fair, the staff did offer a change of room but, having settled in and with only one night to go, we did not wish to have the hassle that would have involved. Additionally there were several small patches of black mould between the tiles above the bath. Everything else about this hotel was excellent.

Linge de toilette abimé, lit ne correspondant pas à la demande, une seule clefs pour la chambre, impossible de rentrer le soir sans devoir sonner et donc se retrouver enfermé dehors si personne n'est disponible (ce n'est arrivé qu'une fois et la personne dormais, ça arrive je ne lui en veux pas) mais le cumul de tout ça rend le séjour bien inférieur à l'attendu.
Je tiens quand même à signaler l'excellence et le professionnalisme de la personne présente le matin.

J'ai réservé une chambre avec baignoire mais j'ai eu une chambre adapté aux personnes en situation de handicap/personnes âgées. C'est très bien pour ces personnes mais pour moi non. Miroir salle de bains très bas, donc je dois m'abaisser pour me regarder, pas de baignoire et porte de salle de bain qui se ferme automatiquement ce qui ne doit pas être pratique pour ces personnes d'ailleurs. Le papier toilette est loin derrière (180°), c'est un coup à ce coincé le dos.
On entend tout ce qu'il se passe dans le couloir et chambres voisines.
Mis à part ça, bien situé, moderne et propre.

Zimmer sehr klein und vollgestellt. Hatten Superior Doppelzimmer gebucht, aber 3 Bettzimmer bekommen.
Das 3te Bett steht so knapp, dass man zum Doppelbett nur noch an 1er Seite ran konnte. Für die Größe viel zu voll gestellt. Und mit der Tapete an der Wand kam ich mir eher wie in einem Kinderzimmer vor denn in einem Superior Doppelzimmer.
Bad auch sehr klein, mehr wie 90 kg sollte man nicht haben, sonst kommt man weder in die Dusche rein noch kann man auf der Toilette Platz nehmen, zumindest in diesem Zimmer.
Aber Lage ist klasse, sehr zentral und alles fußläufig zu erreichen. Ruhig war es auch nach hinten raus. Parkmöglichkeiten vorhanden.
