Room was clean and tidy, very basic accomadations. Could not provide second key, so limited ability to leave room individually as power would shut down. Breakfast was a buffet style with most dishes cold, although they should have been hot (chicken fried rice, etc.). Eggs were provided and cooked to order.

Very welcoming and attentive staff. Both rooms we stayed in were clean and well stocked with amenities. Room size was good, however really enjoyed the superior room size! Pool was excellent great size and plenty of lounge chairs for guest! Wonderful location on a beautiful beach! Over all fabulous!

Cottage on Klung Dao

Lovely setting, very nice pool. Helpful staff breakfast could be improved but sufficed. Our cottage was near the beach but also near the restaurant which played music we didn’t like too loud even when there was no-one around. Very irritating.

This place was probably the best hotel for the money we paid on this staff tech of beach. The breakfast was more than enough and the place was clean. The pool looked knew and the beach is beautiful!! We think that the pool chairs could have new mats on them or at least be cleaned each day. All in all we were happy with this stay!!!

Nice resort

We had a lovely room right on the Ocean. The room.was huge...too big for two people but it was nice to have the space.

Resort was clean but the beach was not. I would not recommend Koh Lanta during low season, it was too quiet.

Our air conditioning broke which staff attempted to fix but room was too got to sleep in. If you aren't worried about mosquitos sleep with the doors open for a nice breeze.

Unfortunately had bad weather so spent lots of time in room. Some English language TV channels, nice bed and clean. Good size room with big bathroom. Pool was clean but chlorine was so strong. Had room No. 13. Noisy during the night from staffroom nearby. Overall happy with room and facilities. Beach was filthy.

Very very great experience

Service is good, location is good(on the beach and the ocean is really nice to swim in), room is clean with all utilities, breakfast is tasty, and the rate is great.
Everything is perfect, except it is a little bit far from the Walking Street where there were lots of seafood restaurants, it took us around 30 mins of walk, a tuktuk cost 50B per person for one way. Overall it was a very very great experience! Highly recommended!

A true paradise location

You can hardly live closer to a beautiful beach than in Golden Bay Cottages. Beautiful and convenient location, just near a 2, maybe even 3 km beach where you can walk, run, swim, drink, eat and whatever else you want to do in your time for beach relaxation. About 400 m from the hotel is the main road of the island, where you'll find lots of shops, restaurants, massage studios, exchange shops, etc.

The cottages are quite convenient, new, well maintained and a pleasure to live in. My only concern was the rather hard bed - but that's a matter of taste after all.

Breakfast is not something to remember forever, but it's quite decent - especially as a free add-on to a nice low season price. Wifi is OK, even though sometimes it's quite slow - but I guess this is a matter of the island infrastructure. It's always a good idea to have a Thai SIM with lots of internet in it - at least for backup, or when you need faster speeds.

And my only complaint for the whole stay, was from the first 5 minutes, then they tried to give me a deluxe bungalow instead of the twice more expensive sea view villa that I had booked. Fortunately, while still searching in my phone for the proof that this is not what I ordered, they knocked on my window and told me my villa would be ready in 10 minutes. Which doesn't mean that if I didn't argue, I wouldn't be left in the cheaper room, just paying double for that.

Golden bay more line bronze bay

I've been traveling around Thailand for about 3 weeks and staying in similar and slightly cheaper places around 600 baht to my surprise they had a free breakfast buffet which sounded nice to me it was nice but was a set breakfast. This wasn't a big deal and totally fine ( wish they would of let me use my breakfast voucher at 11 after the 7-10 times but I also understood. The first room I got had no wifi and I got another room no big deal. The second room had no hot water and by far the annoying construction work like two feet from my bed going on all day (I went out on an scooter all day so it was not a big deal) and then waking me up 9. I would love to say they did a great job resolving this issue to my happy delight a couple of the nice younger workers were try to help and they recommend since the rooms they had tried to move us to were either a construction zone or didn't have wifi and already irritated with the noise of the jack hammers waking us up thought they should up grade us to a area that would met the relaxing atmosphere and the amenities they said they would provide. As they then ask led I could assume was there supervisor the only older lady working their who said no.which was fine I didn't expect that but would of been a nice treat after the ride awaking on the end of my vacation. The lady refused to give any discount for the unconvince and sent us on our way to another new room. I owner would teach better consumer service to the older lady. It's been annoying

Friendly check in, stayed in two different rooms (one superior room and one a bungalow) both were excellent - and very clean. Quiet family friendly surrounding, Well kept garden with sunbeds and pool. Generous breakfast. Close to SalaDan town - a tuk tuk cost 100 baht, but definitely possible to walk to town as well.

Nice, clean, safe on a perfect location. Adequate breakfast with fresh fruits, cereals, freshly made eggs. The location is really amazing. In the middle of the best beach in ko lanta. Lots of families around but we were not really bothered, was very peaceful and relax.

The only negative thing is that the room was very spartan , just an open closet for your clothes, but no drawers or cabinet . Bathroom, one shelf for all your toiletries.... obviously not enough. And another thing - the bed is sooo uncomfortable! It is just a rock. The mattress is so hard that you actually feel like you're sleeping on the floor. We were complaining about it and they added an extra mattress to soften a bit the hard original mattress.

We were staying in a superior room (room13) which was literally 5 steps from the beach. Well worth the money and I would recommend booking a superior or deluxe bungalows because of their location and the way these rooms are furnished which is practically new.

Hotel close to the beach

This place is suitable to who is travel with kids. All is good to us and beach is at in front of the hotel. The room is quite clean but the only things to make us disappointed on this travel is we booked the Superior bang low which is infront of the pool but the hotel staff said is full already so give us free upgrade to a deluxe room . But we are purposely booked the room infront pool and booked early about a month before but they didn't keep us the room. This is the only disappointed things for us! Hope the hotel management can improve this problem.

Stayed in the low season and got some rain which was expected. The room was very clean and was cleaned every day. It's right on the best beach and there is a good pool even if it's a limited number of sunbeds. The restaurant food was good although we mostly ate out. Breakfast is included and had a fair but limited range which was the same every day but most of us eat the same thing for breakfast anyway!
It is about 500 metres up a single track road to the main road in Lanta. You would need transport or taxi to get into Saladan or anywhere else really.

The staff were really friendly and I would recommend this hotel very much.

The living was ok but most staff were not as nice and helpful as normal Thai people. Too many Swedes with children. Just few sunbeds by the beach and no shadow if you didn't want to stay by the pool with all children and screaming parents. Very dark after 10pm needed a torch to find your bungalow. Cleaninglady did a good work and was nice.

We stayed here for 3 nights. Location is handy - a few minutes from the pier by taxi and right on the beach. Room was good although bathroom could do with renovating - it's a wet room set up so once the shower is used the whole place is soaking. Breakfast was fine. Staff very helpful.

Stayed here for 21 nights feb/march in a standard room only just adequate for 2 cleaned everyday ok.only one socket for charging pc/electricals.so you end up unplugging the tv and fridge for anything more to charge.no hooks or anything to hang your clothes in the bathroom went out and bought some ourselves.restaurant very good.nice pool.around 12 chairs and sunbeds by the beach with no parasols so very little shade no one on them between 12-3 to hot would not cost the hotel much to provide parasols for their guests.nice beach,with most of the time clear warm waters.lovely staff.overall ok but could be much better with a few improvements.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Golden Bay Resort. The staff was amazing and very helpful. Room was clean and everything worked fine. Only one day the internet was out, I think cause of the rain storm they had the previous night. Breakfast was fantastic and the resort is RIGHT on the beach.

Fräscht och bra hotell med rymliga bungalows (bodde i de med poolutsikt). Perfekt läge på stranden med fantastiska solnedgångar. Frukosten var helt ok, trevlig liten restaurang med vällagad mat där vi åt lunch flera gånger. Restaurangen stänger och släcker ner kl 21 så det är lugna (och lite mörka) kvällar här jämfört med andra hotell längs med stranden där restaurangerna är öppna till sent. Passade oss som barnfamilj jättebra. Skönt med pool som variation till havet!

Ett mysigt och lugnt hotell. Bra läge. Trevlig personal . Frukosten ingick inte i vårt rum. Den kostade 300 bath per person . Vi tyckte det var dyrt så frukosten köpte vi på grannhotellet för 220 bath per person

The perfect stay

This hotel is fantastic.
The owner takes care if his customers, gives a lot of good advices, about restaurants, life on the island, visits.
Staff very efficient and smiling.
Wonderful pool.
Great view. Quiet.
Fresh food. It was the perfect stay.
And a plus this hotel takes care about the planet with special bins to sort out trash.
I think for family or couple it s the perfect pkace
Close for Saladan. You can go very fast to the other islands during the day ( ko rok, ko ha, and the amazing emerald cave)
In Golden Bay cottage the priority is the well being of his visitors.

Wir haben ein Zimmer mit direktem Meerblick gehabt - allerdings hat sich dieses derart schnell aufgeheizt, dass es unmöglich war tagsüber auf der Terrasse zu sitzen. Wir fanden den Service sehr unpersönlich, das kennen wir aus Thailand so nicht. Das Frühstück war ok, aber leider jeden Morgen das selbe, keinerlei Variation. Nicht mal an den Feiertagen (Weihnachten & Silvester) gab es eine Änderung. Wir haben bei anderen Resorts an Weihnachten gesehen, dass sich sehr viel Mühe gegeben wurde für die Kinder - im golden Pearl trugen die Mitarbeiter Mützen, das war es.

Der Pool ist sehr schön, die Beschattung funktioniert jedoch durch das feste System nur zu einer bestimmten Tageszeit. Hier wären variable Sonnenschirme besser. Am Rand vom Pool lag sehr viel Müll der nie entfernt wurde.

Der sehr junge Inhaber der Anlage war sehr nett, lief ständig beschäftigt durch die Anlage und hat sich gefühlt um ALLES gekümmert und die Mitarbeiter standen tatenlos und gelangweilt daneben.

Es gibt eigentlich nicht viel zu meckern aber uns hat in knapp zwei Wochen dort die Atmosphäre eins die Freundlichkeit die man aus Thailand sonst so kennt, sehr gefehlt. Schade!

La chambre pas mal du tout mais manque d’insonorisation.
Rapport qualité prix un peu décevant par rapport a d’autres hotel bien moins cher (ex : qu’une serviette, pas de savon pour le lavabo,..)

Les extérieurs auraient bien besoin d’un petit coup de neuf (la piscine, les bains de soleil, les espaces verts : manque d’entretien, ...)

Parfait pour un séjour aussi bien en famille et qu’en couple.

Vi bestilte De luxe suite med havutsikt. Her finns 3 suite i samme kategori som ikke er avbildet. De er noe mindre, har annen innredning. Vi fikk en av disse.
Vi utvidet oppholdet med 5 nye døgn og fikk De luxe suite med havutsikt som avbildet. Vi har bodd her 2 ganger tidligere og har stort sett vært fornøyde.
- Rolig fint område med egen strandomr.
- Frokosten kunne vært bedre. Lite pålegg, stort sett bare egg.

Very quiet neighborhood, even tough its location is very good because not far from Saladan pier, and several nice restaurant. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is ok. However, wifi connection can be improved a bit. It was not stable, and weak at the room.

O beställde mat som var kall.De i receptionen var ointresserade o verkade inte förstå engelska.Hotellet har säkert varit fint en gång men verkar inte som om man gjort något sen det byggdes.Vi hade deluxe villa men uteplatsen mot poolen var het som en öken efter lunchtid.Som tur var vi inte där då utan var ofta på utflykter.Wifi var gratis men det långsammaste jag upplevt på tio år.Sängarna tillhörde de mest hårda jag har provat,men vissa uppskattar det säkert.Frukosten var enkel o tråkig,Dock fanns olika äggvariationer att tillgå.Vi betalade mest för detta hotell jämfört med fyra andra ställen vi bodde på under vår Thailandsvistelse.Jag kan bara konstatera att detta hotell toppade bottenligan i jämförelse med de andra hotellen.Jag kan ek rekommendera detta boende./Jimmy

Bra lokasjon, men var uheldig med rom

Bra lokasjon på hotellet med stranden som nærmeste nabo. Utsikt over stranden fra uterestauranten. Var uheldig med rommet. Ingen utsikt - en hekk stegte for all utsikt. Ingen skjerming av dusjen i badet noe som medførte at det ble vått på klosettet og hele gulvet ved dusjing. Sengene var altfor harde etter skandinavisk standard. Betjeningen var hyggelig.

Generelt kedelig

Hotellet ligger perfekt på en perfekt strand, men så er det også sagt, generelt et kedelig sted at bo, morgenmaden meget kedelig, service er der ikke meget at komme efter, pool området ser okay ud, men resten var bare generelt kedelig, man får den fornemmelse at det kunne lukke imorgen.

Ett mycket fint hotell med belägring precis vid stranden och område var lugnt och skönt. Fördelen med hotellet är att den inte ligger i en trafikerad väg. Rummen var fräsha och fina, vi stannade 4 nätter. Vi förlängde med en natt till för att vi trivdes så bra. Max min promenad till Saladan ”walking street”, eller Tuk Tuk för 80-100 Bht. Sängarna är dock hårda, men det störde inte mig, 9/10 så är sängarna hårda i Thailand. Frukosten var bra inget jag skulle klaga på, frukter, mat, omellet allt vad man behöver. Personalen är sjukt trevliga.

Flott beliggenhet ved stranda. Frokost-terrassen og hagen med restauranten og utsikten utover sjøen var nydelig! Bra frokost. Rent overalt. Jeg bor gjerne der neste gang!

Amazing location, decent room, bad breakfast

The location is amazing, right on a great beach, easy accessible to the main street with many shops, restaurants and supermarket (rent a scooter makes your life much easier). The service is not really friendly. It is proper but for whatever reason you feel that nobody really likes his or her job there... which is really unusual in Thailand where everybody is so smiley always. Overall a very good stay but service can be improved.

Negatives: very very hard bed. really not comfortable. It felt like you're sleeping on lumber.
Breakfast is very simple. It is a omelette, tomatoes, cucumbers, 2 types of bread, cheap and non-tasty pastries, very basic jam, some hot dishes that look terrible and that's it. We ended up having an omelette and a little bit of butter on a piece of bread.
WiFi slow and we ended up using our own 3G Thai sim card that we used cause it was rather useless...

Fantastiskt hotell med underbar personal. Perfekt läge mitt på härliga klong dao stranden. Det som är negativt med detta boende är dom hårda sängarna och den något unkna lukten på rummer om man inte har AC igång.

Miellyttävä hotelli meren äärellä

Mukava hotelli aivan rannan äärellä. Majoituimme deluxe bungalowissa, joka oli vaatimattomalla tavalla viehättävä ja hyvin siisti, melkeinpä tarpeettoman tilava. Jämäkkä sänky, hyvät tyynyt. Perushyvä aamiainen, kohtuullisen hyvä kahvi. Henkilökunta oli hymyileväistä ja miellyttävän oloista. Uima-altaassa myös lapsille sopiva osio. Bungalowien keskelle jäävältä viheralueelta on mukava katsella rannalle. Hotellin tilat ja piha-alueet olivat muutenkin hyvin siistinä pidetyt. Tämä oli jo toinen vierailu tähän hotelliin, ja voisin ajatella majoittuvani siellä vielä uudestaan.

Гостиница - хорошая в том регионе. Бассейн чистый, уборка в номере регулярно, стараются не мешать. Мне нравится этот \"городок\" - там спокойно, огромный пустой пляж, но всё нужное под рукой.
Единственный минус, который раздражал - стеклянные окна, в которые постоянно заглядывают проходящие мимо (персонал, большей частью). Либо сидишь как на витрине, либо закрываешь плотные шторы.

Nous avons été accueillis par ce qui m'a semblez être la gérante car plus âgée qui a été très agressive en nous disant que le site n'avait pas pris en compte le fait qu'à partir de 13 ans, notre enfant était considéré comme une adulte. Cela nous est déjà arrivé dans notre périple et cela ne nous a jamais posé problème de payer mais avant même que j'ai compris ce qu'elle me dise elle a ajouté que nous devions payer ou que si nous n'étions pas content nous n'avions qu'à partir. Heureusement que nous n'avons plus vu cette dame et qu'une adorable jeune réceptionniste c'est occupé de nous tout le reste du séjour. Elle était adorable et a même appelé lorsque notre navette n'arrivait pas.
En ce qui concerne la chambre, elle était correct. Le 3 ème lit pour notre fille était un peux moyen mais rien de grave. Il faut dire que le cadre est magnifique. La piscine est bien entretenu excepté les chaises longues un peu défrechi mais nous somme près de la mer donc cela peu se comprendre.
Par contre, il faut savoir que pour un peu d'animation, il faut prendre un tuk tuk pour 200 Bath mais ça n'est pas dérangeant du tout. Nous n'avons pas testé le restaurant ni le petit déjeuner.

Djur på rummet och dålig service

Första bungalow Deluxe vi fick så funkade inte toaletten samt att det var myror i sängen. Efter typ en timmes försök till att laga toaletten fick vi tillslut byta bungalow. Samma kväll när vi kom tillbaka från middagen var det en ca 6-7cm stor kakelacka på rummet. Vi hittade ytterligare en lika stor några dagar senare. När vi bad om att få en kudde till, vilket vi tyckte dom kunde ge oss efter allt strul, så var det helt omöjligt att få. Det blev ingen extra kudde för oss. Frukosten var sämre än average som vi ätit i Thailand. Hotellet var slitet, soldynorna var väldigt smutsiga och slitna och även parasollen. Poolen kändes dock fräsch. Fint läge precis vid stranden men detta hotell är tyvärr INTE värt pengarna man betalar. Pga servicen, standarden på bungalow (vi bodde ändå i en deluxe) och alla djur på rummet så kommer vi inte bo här igen.

Wir hatten den Standardbungalow und waren sehr enttäuscht. Ameisenstraße übers Waschbecken. Das Bad allgemein war einfach nur eklig. Die Eingangstür hatte einen Spalt ringsrum dass alle möglichen Tiere ins Zimmer kamen. Kakerlake im Bett war nur eines davon. Habe hier Zum Glück nur 2 Tage übernachtet.
Nun zum positiven, das Frühstück war lecker und die Lage des Hotels ist super.
