Probably my 5-6th time staying here. Location is fantastic for reaching any place in Pattaya. Room was very clean. Restaurant on site was improved from my last visit. The front desk staff even remembered me from my last visit. Only reason for 4/5 vs 5/5 is the room was just a little bit worn. A little bit of a facelift would have made the place really sparkle overall. I doubt anyone staying here would have too bad of a time. It can be a little noisy depending on where your room is. Second Road gets very busy in front and Soi 15 can be loud late at night if you are in the back. Would have given 4.5/5 if I could. I will probably return on another visit to the beach in the future.

The Hotel is worn down. It's no longer a luxury hotel. It needs a total makeover. My room was a nice room, but not even the same cushions on the sofa. Bed ok. The room had this really smal bugs (Ants) many places. The good thing about this hotel was the staff. All very nice and helpful. Without the staff, I would give this hotel one or two stars.

This was not my first stay at the Baraquda. This stay was even better than the last time. The welcome cocktail is a great start and the room decor and amenity is great. The pool is quiet and shaded mostly. The staff are so helpful and the location is really good if you like Pattaya activity and proximity to the beach. Far enough away if you need some peace after. Excellent.

This is not a. 5* Hotel!!!!!


My experience at this hotel was terrible from the moment we arrived. The first room we were given had a strong, unpleasant smell and a noticeable dampness in the air. When I raised this issue with the staff, we were shown an alternative room, but unfortunately, it was in exactly the same condition.

The staff then placed a dehumidifier?? in the room to try to improve the situation, but even after leaving it running for a couple of hours, the room remained damp. This moisture affected our belongings — clothes in our suitcase became damp.

We asked to change rooms again and were shown yet another room, only to find the same issues repeated. There was visible mould on the walls, dirty shower curtain, and even rotten wall panelling. there was clearly an issue with the air conditioning system, which made the air quality uncomfortable and concerning.

Overall, the room was not suitable to stay in, and due to the poor and unhygienic conditions, we had no choice but to leave and find alternative accommodation. The standard of this hotel was completely unacceptable. It’s clear that there are ongoing issues with damp, mould, and general maintenance. I would strongly advise others to avoid staying here until these serious problems are properly resolved.

Walking to the room felt like walking along a cruise ship deck! The porter was really helpful and the pool was a really good size. The bar area was pleasant with a wide choice of cocktails and (welcome gift) mocktails. BBC news was on the TV in the lobby which made me feel at home and the whole hotel design and feel was modern and chic. I didn’t have time to try the food. Dated hotel with issues in great location

The location was excellent and the staff and breakfast were great. However, the rooms were very dated and had a major smell of mold and mildew. The beds need replaced, as well as all the sheets and comforters/duvets on the beds. They were old and stained. The beds smelled terrible. It was hard to sleep. The airconditioning helped keep the smell down a bit but this hotel needs a total makeover in the rooms. I would not stay there again under the current conditions. There are many other options in the area that are more modern and no smell. Also, note there is a loud open air rock music bar that played loud live music every night til almost midnight.

Where I went when Hotels.com messed up

Pleasant but not a 5 star hotel.

There’s good things and bad things to say about this hotel. It’s billed as a 5 star, but for this stay for me it only just hit a 4 star. Location is great, staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good quality with choices for everyone. The room let things down though - we faced out onto the back of the property, with no view at all, only a brick wall about 20 metres away. Even though I wouldn’t sit on the balcony, there are no chairs there. Inside, the room is quite small. The bed is centred in the middle of the room, there are no bedside tables. The bathroom is open plan meaning the wash basin is out in the open in the room. The shower only has a curtain separating it from the bedroom. There’s no iron, hardly any table top space. The bed itself was comfortable but not anything special.

This is one of the best hotels I’ve ever been in my room came with a king size bed and a porch. It was very affordable. It was extremely clean. They give you soap, shampoo and conditioner since I did not bring any staff was very friendly and trustworthy. I left money in the room and it was there when I return after they clean. The beach is only a five minute walk away. It’s almost impossible to find parking on the street. This hotel has a parking garage. I left my car there for five days and took a motorbike. It also has a beautiful Crystal clear pool with a bar. The most important part is the room had a very good air condition system so I was able to stay cool in my room when it was very hot outside

I have stayed here a few times. Once again, the staff did an excellent job. The hot water in the jacuzzi wasn't working. They tried their best to fix it, then moved me to another jacuzzi room. They also gave me a free fruit plate.

Although the lobby can get hot during the day due to the large panoramic windows and heavy foot traffic opening the doors, this is a great hotel. I stayed in the room with the hot tub, loved it! Strong air conditioning that can be left one while exploring is so nice to come back to from the sweltering spring heat. Staff members were the most friendly and helpful I've ever experienced in my trips to Thailand overall. Will definitely be staying there on my next visit.
