The resort itself was nice for the price, pool was good with lots of activities both in the pool and on the beach. The food-both buffet and restaurants were definitely lacking compared to all of the other places we have been. The lobby bar made great drinks. We would likely not return to this resort and spend a little more money on a nicer one due to the food.

The private beach was my favorite part. Great spa experience. Also Super close to downtown. But For the most part, staff could be nicer. The food was pretty bad. We only ate at the hotel once during my whole trip. Lacked entertainment and EVERYTHING closes at 12 midnight. Be advised, the beds are very hard and lack comfort.

I liked the evening entertainment, especially the Dominican Night and the Circus. The Tappanyaki restaurant gave us good food and a fun night. The room maid was very good and friendly. The room was clean, well lighted, and comfortable. The gardens were beautiful and maintained well. There are three swimming pools, one was very noisy with a party atmosphere, but the other two were quiet and much more enjoyable for me. The Fitness Center was clean and had a variety of weights, treadmills, and weight machines.

I like about how the guys behind the counter , bar food truck try their best to keep up with the visitors.. they work the hardest to make it happen.. I didn’t like the way they manage the hygiene of the place , the restaurant and bars.. a lot of mosquito out of control . Came back with a lot of mosquitos bites. Plus they don’t refill the coffee or refrigerator on a day by day basic only when you get in..I wasn’t sure if to stay or just leave at one point I was ready to cancel everything and leave the place .. great job by Ignacio, Steve, dairy, and the security personal ..

My wife had fragments of a broken cup in her leg that was dropped in front of her by a staff member and they were not concerned about her and told her it wasn’t bad. There was at least 10-15 fragments in her leg. DO NOT STAY HERE! If you do, just remember I told you so

The first night the ac stopped working. They took a while to fix it. For three days they didn’t clean the room even though I gave them a tip. Upon leaving I asked for a late checked and they charged me which in USA they wouldn’t and they didn’t want to help me contact the taxi service I paid for. The drinks were the cheapest and so was the food. All inclusive means the cheapest stuff I wish I knew!

I'm telling you this place is 10 out of 10 and everything was just amazing I've been to numerous all inclusives in the Dominican Republic this was the best price and not only the best price the best at everything it was just amazing. Jose in the front was great at checking in and Monica and guest services was also amazing the only thing I didn't like at all was having lines at the bar no one goes to a bar to wait online that's just ridiculous and also there is no ice machine anywhere on the property that's a little bit annoying also other than that it's just perfect in every way

We loved our destination/resort. Our rooms was clean, and we stayed in the VIP area, which was absolutely fantastic. Our accommodation's were all we hoped they could be. The advertised hot tubs were not hot just pools with bubbles and the food was terrible. We took care of the staff each day but we were there for 9 days and were only permitted to book dinner 4 out of the 9 days. We would love to recommend Vista Sol, but we were get dissatisfied with the food.

First stayed at this property in 2012 and liked it very much. It was beautifully landscaped and various types of tropical flowers always seemed to be in bloom. The peacocks were a nice touch too.
We went back twice before Covid. This stay was our fourth, and best. This time even more plants were flowering. The lawns were lush green and the palm trees and pine trees are probably 70 feet tall now, providing shade when you want it. There is an abundance of pathways to enjoy walks. The paths are lighted and security is present around the campus.
Beach chairs and towels are readily available. Pizza, burgers, and snacks are available at the beach, as well as soft drinks, coffee, and a full bar. The beach has been protected by a sea wall and a lovely pier has just been built. No beach erosion at this resort. There is plenty of room to lounge in the sun as well as in the pleasant pine grove just off the beach.
The staff is always pleasant and helpful and there are many English speakers among staff.
The rooms are cleaned daily, public spaces are constantly cleaned. The three pools are clean and inviting.
There is regular entertainment each night at 9:30 PM and preceding that, there is a children's program at the theatre.
The buffet is great, with great variety and delicious food. There are options to eat in several specialty restaurants as well. This property is our little piece of heaven.

1. The room is unsanitary and the toiletries are very poor.
2. More importantly, our body has been bitten by dozens of red and swollen areas caused by bugs on the bed.
3. The food was not fresh. On the first night of dinner on 12/24/2024, I had rotten shrimp and had diarrhea at night. The next day, they used the remaining shrimp for grilling on an iron plate. I thought it was new shrimp, but I ate it and immediately spat it out because I tasted the rotten meat.
4.On the third day, I saw again that the remaining shrimp was used by them to make risotto. I tried, but it's still the rotten shrimp from the previous two days.
5. I'm scared, I can't believe they're using leftover food in different ways to reappear on the table. I can't believe it they use leftover food from other restaurants to serve to customers again in the self-service restaurant.

This place sucked please don't go there. Building #5 young punks play loud music till 4am security at hotel refuses to stop even though quiet time is 11 pm. Management was a joke never addressed issues didn't sleep to four nights they moved us to a mosquito infested room. We left and went to Impressive much nicer hotel. They were rude to me and my wife they can suck it.

Overall for a short trip it was nice for the price. I was not pleased with the food. It could have been better. Breakfast was the only ok meal they offered. The room view was nice! Garden view with partial ocean view! The restaurants were within walking distance. I always like to visit a place at least once. If I were to be honest I will not return back for a future visit.

Los empleados tratan los dominicanos como perros el señor de la pizzería del Carito en la playa casi nos da gorpe a parte de que hubo que llamar a seguridad porque quería pelear con otra clienta y los chicos de bar de la playa a los dominicanos los trata malísimo en el restaurante todo muy bien en el buffet las camareras nos trataron muy bien y las recepcionistas pero en los bares pésimo servicio y que no hay variedad de comida

El buffet es muy regular y descuidado, sirven en los restaurantes especializados en platos rotos. Tienen una linda playa y las personas que se encargan del entrenamiento están muy bien.

Nos quedamos 5 noches en el hotel, nos pareció que el lugar está precioso, tiene bellos jardines, la playa muy bonita, las habitaciones muy cómodas, creo que si podrían mejorar en el buffet, la sección de jugos y refrescos no está tan abastecida y el personal es un poco mal encarado. El check in fue un poco complicado porque solo estaba una persona en el front desk. Pero debo de decir que las actividades que hacen por la noches son diversas y para todo público, si nos hospedaríamos sin ningún problema otra vez.

Some of the staff was a little bit rude and bored. We were treated a little bit bad by some of them. However, there were very good staff in the hotel like the lady’s in the Spa, I loved them.

We wanted to keep an open mind since this was a cheaper resort. However, while trying to stay positive it became very difficult. Check-in took forever and staff was being rude to guests. We decided to walk over to guest services to book our dinner reservations since they don’t allow you to do it ahead of time. They were booked 2 nights out so we were stuck with the buffet for a few days. The food was AWFUL, it also wasn’t cohesive at all if you could find something good (ex: pasta, nachos and cheese with a side of watermelon). The biggest issue we had was a ton of mosquitoes EVERYWHERE. Obviously, this comes with being anywhere warm or near water. The problem was that our room was full of them as well so you would wake up with multiple bites. The drinks were good, however, there was a small list to choose from and anything not on it would cost extra. The only positives I can think of were that the circus show was awesome and we slept good every night. Other than that we only enjoyed our trip while we were on excursions and we were just ready to come home.

My family recently stayed at Vista Sol Punta Cana and overall, my experience was mixed. The hotel rooms are spacious and quite cold which my husband enjoyed. I did enjoy that the hotel was on the smaller side so that we didn’t have to walk miles to get to either the beach, pool or dining area.

One aspect of my stay that was disappointing was the buffet. While the food was decent, I found that it was the same options day after day. For guests staying for an extended period of time, this could become monotonous.

Additionally, I was not a fan of the main pool. It had a strange odor that reminded me of stinky feet, which was off-putting. It made me reluctant to spend much time there.

I also wanted to mention my experience with the beach area. Unfortunately, I found it to be quite disappointing. There were a lot of pine needles scattered around, which made the area look unkempt and not very clean. It was not the picturesque beach setting I had hoped for. Furthermore, the layout of the beach area left much to be desired. The lounge chairs were all placed very close together, leaving little room for privacy or personal space. It felt crowded and cramped, with limited seating options available. This made it difficult to find a comfortable spot to relax and enjoy the beach.

Overall, I would say that Vista Sol is more of a hotel than a resort. If you are looking for a place where you will be catered to and have all of your needs taken care of, this may not be the best choice.

My kids n I enjoyed our vacation n the property.. if I had listened to the reviews I would not have booked.. the rooms were clean, the food of was good, it was easily accessible n we had a wonderful time.
The only mishap I had was the rude towel attendant.. she needs to work in the back somewhere where she will not interact with the guests.
I will definitely be back.

This resort needs a lot of improvements.The food was not good at all.The service was barely existent. And to top it all off we had to ask three times for shampoo and conditioners and one of the housekeeping lady’s said they have some at the store to buy since they don’t have some with them. And I can go on and on about this place but if it helps, Other people just do your research before you book your resort and be smart where you spend your money.

I typically don’t leave reviews but felt I needed to after this stay. The resort has a ton of potential. The buffet is TERRIBLE. The restaurants are good. You must wait in line for a kiosk to book restaurants and make sure to take a picture of your confirmation as sometimes the machine doesn’t work. Most employees don’t speak any English and there are a lot of employees who are not friendly at all. The beach is beautiful but it does have some areas of erosion where there are large tree stumps with exposed roots. While on the beach people will constantly try to sell you services, goods, and excursions. All music is played in Spanish. The resort doesn’t offer washcloths either. The beds are hard. The resort does have a ton of potential.

Vista Sol Punta Cana is an excellent resort. Suitable for all ages. Delicious food and a lot of activity; there is always dancing in the theater after performances. The staff is polite and solves problems quickly. I stayed at the end of April and had only one problem - humidity at night.
