I can’t believe I paid that much for a room for a hotel that was nowhere near the quality of a nice hotel and the rating it had received. I was unable to drive home because of the severe storms and had to stop somewhere . I had stayed in the area before, and hoped this would be a decent place to stay. The front desk staff was very efficient and very kind. My room smelled, the toilet was very very dirty, and the floor was dirty. I was placed right next to the elevator with a lot of loud people coming off (which really is no one‘s fault it just happened to be I was placed in that room probably because of high occupancy)

Stuff we’re super friendly and very helpful. Honest review, the facility needed updated badly. My issue is that the hotel one is not cheap and two paying money and having a terrible experience is not good for business. The first room we in had absolutely no hot water. Took almost an hour for us to give the “hot water heater” time to upgrade those. The toilet also leaked when flushed. The we got moved another room where the window seal was damaged and still no hot water. It was too late to go do it all over again. So no offense to staff because everyone was excellent. But I hope this gets to corporate and they do something about it. Would no recommend this hotel souly the needs major improvements. Don’t be upset like us.

Nice staff upon arrival and good coffee. Traveling with two kids and two adults. Adequate room but definitely could use some TLC - shabby/dingy tub tile/caulk, loose faucet in the sink, loose light fixture next to the bed, dinged up walls, stain on carpet. Wasn’t expecting a five-star stay, but there are little things that would class this place up. Also the pool water looked murky and the hot tub was empty (no sign or explanation). The place worked fine for us for the one night we stayed but I was glad we weren’t going to be there longer.

The equipment in the gym was broken. Many dumbells were missing. The floor was dirty and there were no yoga mats.

Our room was never cleaned during our 4 day visit. The water pressure in the shower was low and sometimes the temperatures were too cool. The front desk clerk was hardly ever visible. At times, the hallways and lobby smelled like pot.

There was a homeless person sleeping in the lobby on one day and he tried to say he was using our meeting room. Our group leader, I think, ended up talking to the front desk and the person was gone after that.

The breakfast as empty of items and no variety. When we first arrived the desk was friendly. When we got to the room ther was edging coming off the microwave stand. Had asked for coffee but never received.The lobby informed us the hot tub didn:t wirk it had a leak. We talked with manager because I only book hotels with hot tubs and she stated we should have received a email which we did not receive. The hot tub was still on website. It also stated a indoor pool so we went to check it out abd it was like ice bath.You assume with an indoor pool in KC, mo to be heated. This is definitely false advertisement..The second night the toilrt over flowed and the phone did not work so my daughter went to front desk and there was 2 men at desk and we were told the phones in all the rooms did not work, Also no maintenance so they found a plunger so my daughter to take care of it. so she plunged it and cleaned up.Also the 3 nights we were there not one time did a housekeeper come to the room for anything. Now I belive in enviromental measures but they could have at least emptied the trash and brought fresh towels. Again my daughter saw a housekeeper and asked for 2 to empty our trash. Another thing the coffee was never hot excep first thing in the morning. I tried to make tea and the hot water was lukewarm at best. We were there for my nephews wedding or I would of went somewhere else but we did not have time.Nothing worked. Only good thing was a decent bed. So what did we pay for?

Overall the stay wasn’t bad. The hot tub didn’t work which was a huge downfall. The pool was too cold to enjoy. The shower in our room was terrible as the head was spraying all over the place. The gentleman that was taking care of keeping the breakfast area stocked and clean was a little rude. You could tell that he didn’t really like his job. The room was clean. There needed to be more outdoor lighting. We arrived after dark and the parking lot was poorly lit. You can tell they are trying to do some renovations.

This is a safe and convenient option when visiting Kansas City. The staff was super friendly and helpful. It includes a small gym and pool, and lots of options for the breakfast that's included with your stay. My only concern was the cleanliness of the suite itself...lots of debris all over the floor in both the room and bathroom.

The young man at check-in was extremely pleasant as was the older gentleman cleaning up the breakfast area as we checked out! This Is the only positives I have to say about the property itself. We had called ahead of time to make sure the pool was up and running because we were going to have our grandkids with us right before school started. The pool was so cold that we could not get in it. The hot tub was emptied, but not covered or blocked off in any way. We also had mentioned that my husband has COPD and is very allergic to dogs and we could not have a room near any animals. It was after we arrived that they mentioned that all of their rooms are.” animal, friendly.” but they clean in between stays. This was severely lacking. I have pictures. There was white fur all over the stained couch and popcorn,wrappers There was a stain on the bedding and the phone is still sitting in both rooms, but did not work. The first room did have an animal smell to it. The young man behind the front desk was able to move us across the hall a dog had not stayed for a length of time… The room is better but again another piece of popcorn! Have a one and a half year-old grandchild if he found that he could have choked. There were still a few hairs (tub too) but it smelled much cleaner. For the price I knew it would need to be updated. I just need clean and no animals… They definitely withheld the truth with the hot tub being down and animals being allowed in all room rooms.

This hotel did not match the rating it has on hotels.com. It’s long overdue for a renovation. Mold all over the ceiling in bathroom. Dirty and old. Cracks in tile. Blanket was not clean (blood spots). Food left in fridge. Sub-par breakfast. Black specks in hot water dispenser for tea. Hot water dispenser for oatmeal etc was cold. Staff was friendly however, this hotel needs a serious overhaul.

We were very surprised how nice and clean the rooms were considering the great price. Unfortunately we only book hotwls with hottubs for a bit of relaxing and it was not working at the time. No warning when booking. I had called prior to confirn they had a hottub i should of asked if it was working. Also the cleaning staff came into our room prior to checkout.

Our room had not been properly cleaned. We found a leftover bath towel in the bathroom and hair in the tub and sink. The bathroom and entry way didn't look swept. The management did apologize and give us another room and they made sure we had everything we needed.

Went to check in, and the lady at the desk was super nice! Went up to the room and bedding was dirty. Along with some trash left in the room.
Went down let the lady at the desk know. She quickly put us in another room. Bedding appears to be clean however there were some trash left behind. Bathroom door wouldn't latch. Bathroom was dirty with chipping paint.
If hadn't been a long day of baseball and availability, I would of asked to get out money back and found another hotel. Really disappointed in this one.
On a positive note, the breakfast was pretty decent.

The room was nice, but the shower head barely functioned. It took an hour to check in, although I prepaid and the place seemed almost empty (the manager seemed unhinged, because she thought it was fine for me to wait an hour while she argued with Expedia). The breakfast was fine, but I mostly looked forward to the hot tub (which was not available) and a swim (the pool was very cold and looked dirty, so I didn't get in). So, nice room (except crumby shower), okay breakfast, unacceptable pool and no hot tub. I think I should get a partial refund for false advertising.

We were on a long road trip and stopped for the night. We were really annoyed the hotel did not have hot water in the morning so we weren't able to take a shower before an 9 hour drive. They even know this is an issue so that was even more annoying. The hotel was good but if you stay on a weekend you may not get a shower so won't stay again.

When I look for a room, I want a pool and a hot tub...The pool (indoor) was freezing and the deepest part was 3'6\". So I said, forget that, I'll get in the hot tub. HORRIBLE! No jet power - the water was lukewarm at best - water was below several of the exposed jets - the water was dirty...So I said, forget that...I'll take a hot shower... NOPE! Lukewarm showers too! My wife who is cold natured, thought that is was a cold shower! I want a refund!

I was very disappointed with the stay there. We were so looking forward to the hot-tub which did not work. No towels if one could use at the pool. No hot water in the morning. The peep whole had tape over the one room my daughter was in. There was trash on her floor. The elevator sounded like it was going to die. The assistant in the morning was less than happy and expressed so.

We were in town for a wedding reception and it was our first trip in a long long time. We are waiting on the $25 return for each room. For the rating.... and the money, I'm sorry but I expected so much more.
