It is a very nice hotel. However you need a car. If you are a leisure traveler looking to explore Madrid, this probably isnt the place for you. It is a nice property with a very nice breakfast buffet. The front desk staff were very helpful.

Excellent except for a design concern in that the bathroom door does not shut tight. Odors can escape. The frosted bathroom door is not appropriate for every occasion. Not all guests sharing a room are intimate couples!

I liked the neighborhood, the property is located about an hour from Madrid. We had a problem with our safe but was fixed on our return back to the hotel. Housekeeping did a good job. As someone who works in a hotel, the front desk should understand that foreigners need extra guidance and explanation, not look frustrated. I’m a Spanish speaker, so communication was not a problem, the attitude was.

Only two comments, otherwise excellent. There seemed to be no way of changing the room temperature, which was very hot. I think the thermostat may have been broken. We ended up sleeping with the window open. Also, the glass bathroom door. If someone uses the bathroom in the night, the bedroom is flooded from light from the bathroom, and wakes the other person up. Crazy design.

Good for access to Madrid airport

The hotel room was excellent and the parking was easily accessible. However, the hotel was further from the centre of Madrid than expected and there is not a lot in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. The bar in the hotel doesn’t open until 6 pm and the restaurant 8 pm.
The evening meal in the restaurant was superb with a very helpful waiter. Breakfast also offered a wide choice of good quality food.

Very nice hotel that fitted well with my trip. Only issue I have with the AC is the location, it's well located if you're driving but not if you rely of taxis or have to walk to and from the centre where the restaurants are, it's a good 40 mins each way.

Great choice near Alcala

This is a good, clean hotel near the charming town of Alcala de Henares. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really good, with Nespresso coffee makers. Room was spacious and clean. Bed was a wee bit past it’s prime but still more comfortable than many we have encountered in Spanish hotels. Only knock against it is that the lobby and elevators seem to be deliberately scented with a particularly virulent version of Axe body spray, but we overcame that by imagining it was evidence of the presence hormonal teens and then being glad they were gone. But you can find your own coping mechanism. Overall, a really good stay in a really nice place.

We stayed only one night, hotel reception spoke English & were extremely helpful, room was bright, clean & comfortable. Not sure why I booked this hotel for Alcala as it's in a residential area & 2.5km from the centre. Probably because it had parking available. However, there is an excellent & inexpensive bus service with the stop right outside the hotel & journey time is 20 to 30 minutes. WIFI was free but breakfast was extra. W'd certainly use AC Hotels again.

A very pleasant stopover hotel. Reception staff are helpful and welcoming. The hotel does what it sets out to be....a functional but comfortable 'business' hotel. There is little in the way of lounges or public areas, but the rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. There is secure underground parking (at a cost).

The hotel doesn't look like a Marriott hotel! Rooms are very small. Beds are very old & not comfortable. No drawers & no additional chair/ sofa was there in the room. Always you had to seat on the bed which is not at all comfortable. Few amenities.

We arrived from Santander 11.30 PM We where surprised that we never had tea coffee facility in room, we used to run straight through from Santander( off ferry ) to Costa Blanca.
We thought we could break journey by stopping half way both coming and returning to docks, but would have been nice to have had that tea before going to bed and relax before. Ken Williams

The AC Marriot in Alcala fell short of our expectations. Compared to other hotels we’ve used in recent weeks, at comparable prices, we felt squeezed for every euro they could charge for any amenity. Parking is provided off the busy street only at a premium charge. There is no clock provided in the room & only limited amenities, not including Kleenex, as offered by most hotels. It had one straight chair at the desk, leaving nothing else for people to sit on in a room for two people, much less a visiting guest. Want breakfast? It’ll cost 9€. Need an extra pillow? 35€. How about an extra closet hanger? (there were 4 in the closet) that’ll be 5€ each. But perhaps the real slap in the face in this mecca of capitalistic operations, was the inclusion of a “news channel” among the few English speaking TV channels they offered, that was actually a Russian propaganda channel (RT), direct from Moscow, that prides itself in deriding western cultures, by providing “an alternative perspective on major global events, & acquaints an international audience with the Russian viewpoint.” We had never heard of the channel before seeing it in the Alacala hotel & hope to never see it again. By the way, there was no channel guide in the room & the room directory referred to a “modern TV” being provided, however it was a older model, without even an HDMI port to watch a movie if you wished. The hotel is not a bad hotel, just not what we expected from the esteemed name Marriot.

Absolutely a great hotel chain. Great rooms, all the amenities. We are now staying in their Genoa property and heading for Venice with 3 nights booked there. Highly recommend them. It's a 4 star with a 4.5 rating in my opinion. Join there club (Marriott) and you get many benefits (IE. Free WiFi, parking, etc) Aloha

Excellent overall, except for a/c

Perfect hotel except for the fact that we were only given 1 room key for 2 people to share and the key had to be inserted into a slot inside the room for the a/c to work. That meant that when we left the room, the air automatically turned off. That might not have mattered if we were able to control the a/c temperature, but we were not. It took several hours for the a/c to cool the room off enough in June for me to need just 1 sheet as a cover. I recommend that you request an extra room key and keep both the window curtains and the bathroom door closed so the a/c is more effective. Also, wear ear plugs while trying to sleep because the a/c makes a strange noise at about every 3 minutes or so. (I didn't really time it because I was deliriously tired from major jet lag.) However, the guy at the front desk was super nice when we checked in and gave us a quiet room like we requested and when I called down about needing extra pillows, they arrived promptly. Also, the next morning we had the fitness room to ourselves and it's really nice with free water bottles available chilled in a mini refrigerator.

A Hidden Treasure!

I loved this hotel and I loved the rate even more! We needed to be near Madrid, but I did not want to pay Madrid rates. This hotel is out from the city center near the airport, easy to drive to with wide, uncrowded streets and good parking for much less than in the city of course! We were given a proper welcome from a very, very nice young man who couldn't have been more helpful! He even helped me with some translating of messages I was receiving on my mobile from my mobile company! We were delighted when we walked into our room to find a strong four star quality with contemporary decor, a large comfortable size room, a very clean, neatly made inviting bed - a king at that! - and a bathroom that I didn't want to come out of! It was all done in dark rich emerald marble and glass - very contemporary with a stand up DOUBLE size shower with a glass door adequate to keep the floor dry, a rain head and endless hot water! Two full length mirrors in the room and great reading lights on either side of the bed. A/C was self controlled - great - no carpet - wood floor. There is also a large desk/work area
With several outlets to make the electronics happy. The hotel is with in a short walking distance to several restaurants. Be sure to walk all the way to the fountain! I would highly recommend this property and would have loved to stay longer!

We went there for 2 nights, on business. The breakfast was very nice. The staff was very efficient. To take in to consideration, we asked for a room with 2 twin beds, and I thought they where TO close... probably less than 4 inches apart. They have a gym, but it opens from 9 am to 9 pm... and if you are on a business trip, usually you go to de gym before you leave or when you come back. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay, I would probably go back.

Perfect Location if You Have a Car

This hotel was ideal for my last night in Spain and just before I returned the rental car to the airport in the morning. It's less than 30 minutes to the airport and there was plenty of free parking. The hotel is a typical modern hotel with all of the conveniences including a gym and sauna. There is nothing in the neighborhood, however, so you do need a car. The center of Alcala de Henares (about 2 miles away) was an interesting 16th century town with a great university, long arcaded main street and the birthplace of Cervantes. It is definitely a great alternative to Madrid for your last night in Spain. The hotel staff was very attentive, particularly because there were so few guests.

For years now I have been staying at the AC hotel in Alcala de Henares, Madrid, when visiting family in the area and have received the service anyone could expect for a 4 star hotel. The hotel caters to businesses with nice rooms, bathrooms and facilities. As a token of appreciation the hotels provides a selection of refreshment drinks in the room, free of charge as well as a variety of news paper on each floor of the hotel. Downtown Alcala is a 20 minute walk with lots of window shopping along the way.

Nice hotel but too pricey for the money

I had to stay in Alcala and I booked this hotel. I loved both the room and bathroom in terms of neatness and confort, they looked very new. Staff was also friendly. But the hotel is very expensive, considering that breakfast was not included (and it was expensive too), internet in the room is not free either and the location is not the best, not even for Alcala.

Although the breakfast is a nice buffet, 11 euros is too much. Since there were no restaurants near the hotel (maybe 15 min. away, but we didn´t feel like going out), we had dinner here. It is not worthy. It is served as new cuisine but portions are small and quality isn´t the best either. It is also too pricey.

If you don´t mind paying, then I guess you´ll like it here.

Elegí este hotel por la cadena a la que pertenece, la cual me ha dado siempre mucho a confianza, y realmente el hotel está bien, la zona está a las afueras, eso lo sabía.
Lo que no entiendo es como en un hotel de 4 estrellas, a 110€ la noche, el fin de semana no hay ningún tipo de servicio de restauración, nada, solo el desayuno.
No hay bar, cafetería, ni nada que te permita cenar o comer algo normalito.
La excusa de hotel para empresas no me sirve, el fin de semana abre y alquilan las habitaciones.
La verdad me quedé en la estacada, en zona tampoco hay nada acorde a un hotel de 4 estrellas.
Por lo demás el hotel correcto.

The AC Hotel Acala offered us accommodation at a reasonable rate while the prices in Madrid were exorbitant. The hotel is 30 Kms from central Madrid and can be reached within less than one hour by car. A car is essential when you stay in this hotel.

The rooms are modern equipped with comfortable beds, a relax chair, and an office chair with desk. The WIFI is reliable. Unfortunately there is no kettle in the room. The bathroom is modern, but the ventilation is insufficient.
There is a McDonald and some other two fast-food joints nearby. For any other restaurant visit a car is required. Breakfast is charged at 14.- € and expensive comoared to the food selection.
The hotel has its own parking at 11.- € / night. There is ample public street parking available

Habitación amplia, baño moderno y agradable y en conjunto todo muy bien. El fin de semana el desayuno empieza a las 8 (cosa que no comprendo y debería cambiar) pero mi hija tenía un examen importante antes de esa hora, y la chica del turno de tarde nos indicó que nos darían una bolsa de picnic con un sándwich, agua, yogur y y una manzana. Pero cuando a las 7 fui a buscar la bolsa, la persona del turno de noche, Beatriz, preparó un desayuno variado y caliente para mi hija. No puedo dejar de darla las gracias, porque personal como ella, marca la diferencia, hace grande a un hotel y que pienses en volver allí.

Fuimos mi marido y yo a oasar el fin de semana a Alcalá de Henares, el hotel está bastante alejado del centro lo cual es incómodo por tener que coger el coche y por otra parte es súper tranquilo.
La cama muy cómoda, la habitación en general muy bien. El servicio muy bueno. El desayuno de calidad y nos atendió un chico encantador que atendía a todas nuestras necesidades.

todo me gusto,su ubicacion,lapaz y la tranquila que se siente es relajante,su limpieza a amabilidad del personal,y que decir del desayuno,gran variedad y todo muy fresco y natural,de doy un 11 de un 10,gracias.

Visita ad Alcalà de Henares

Hotel posizionato un pò periferico rispetto al centro di Alcala de Henares, il centro storico è raggiungibile tramite gli autobus che hanno una fermata a circa 20 metri dall'albergo. L'albergo, di tipologia moderna, dispone di camere pulite, di media ampiezza ma complete di tutto il necessario. Le stanze dispongono di frigobar, tv con canali di tutta europa e un confortevole e comodo letto. Il bagno ampio e fornito di una fantastica doccia dispone di tutto il necessaire compreso un phon professionale. Il personale è preparato, disponibile e cortese. Nella hall è disponibile caffe nespresso gratuito a qualsiasi ora. Carina la fornitura di acqua minerale di cortesia nella stanza. L'albergo dispone anche di parcheggio interno sotterraneo.
In proporzione alla categoria e livello dell'albergo la colazione è discreta e sicuramente migliorabile.

El hotel está muy bien, como todos los de la cadena, por poner algún pero, está lejos del centro de Alcalá y hace mucho calor en la habitación y el termostato no es regulable.
