This hotel was perfect! I had the room with a balcony and a bathtub and I loved it. However it is at least 30-45 minutes outside the city of Madrid where all the main attractions are so keep that in mind!

The room had underwear left from a guest in the drawer, the carpet and the fridge were dirty. There wasnt a tea pot or coffee machine in the room to have some tea. The toilet paper was the cheapest and roughest you can find

We had alot of ants in our room. It was very loud and noises morning and night specially from cleaning it felt like they breaking things in our room. Also they lied about their destination timing on expedia. Also not even free drinkable water service never had that in any of my stays anywhere. Water should be common thing for free at least provided by a hotel. Alot of other things so i just dont recommend it and im not coming back here for sure!

We stayed here a night before our flight back home. The hotel was clean and it was in a nice area with ample parking. The room was clean and the shower was wonderful. I had to call down because the hairdryer was not working properly but they sent me one right away and it was great. Highly recommended!

It is haft empty and still selling the room on line but told me that it is fully booked and upgrade is not possible. The VIP perk is a bottle of water. Free breakfast and free parking is not honored. I suggest Expedia to remove those hotels that do not honor VIP access from the VIP access list. It is unfair for those hotels that honor their VIP perks.

El hotel en general me pareció que estaba muy bien, aunque apenas pudimos disfrutarlo, ya que sólo estuvimos unas horas.
Al adelantar nuestro vuelo no pudimos desayunar allí, por lo que pedimos que nos prepararan un picnic, que resultó muy malo. El sandwich de dos pisos sólo llevaba relleno en uno de ellos, el otro era sólo pan. Además, un paquetito de galletas maría, un plátano y una botella de agua. Por lo que había pagado por el desayuno ya se podían haber esmerado un poco más en el picnic.

Room was clean but bins were full of trash. Lock did not work properly and hotel have only one iron to share for all the guests. Swimming pool on the on the roof was not working and without water in the mid of May.

This is a very clean newly constructed hotel with quiet ventilation system and huge closet space for large or small luggage. We were traveling for a month for ATP tennis tournaments so welcomed the closet space! A ten minute brisk walk thru a park area to historic Alcara with lots of restaurants and pastry shop. When we didn’t feel like going out would allow us to bring our hot food up on trays. Huge grocery market a block away in quiet residential area . Beautiful sunsets on west side

The staff went out of their way to make a very difficult distressing and upsetting time for me very welcoming. The room bathroom and aspects in the room could have done with attention from maintenance which i did request on a couple of occasions but it couldn't be fixed. I thought just live with Trevor for once you already have enough stress to kill an elephant... why add to it in making a fuss.... and as I'm moving to the city shortly I may find myself in the hotel enjoying a drink when the summer weather arrives..... best not to leave the staff with a bad impression of me.

Avoid this hotel. Ridiculously priced during CL

Stated during champion league final for 5 nights. This hotel service was well below par. Breakfast at 12 euros is definitely not worth it as the food is not all fresh. No iron they want you to spend on laundry service which is not acceptable. The room was boiling hot on arrival. Many more issues. I would not stay here again.

Very few amenities in bathroom (no shower cap, eat buds)
No tea/coffee making facilities.

It was clean and tidy. Breakfast was good.
Far from central Madrid. Takes 50 mins and costs £10 each way by public transport.

When we checked in guy wasn't very helpful when asked him about getting into Madrid but came down a few hours later and the lady was great , she gave us info and looked up what metro line we needed once we got there and wrote all down on paper for us.
Paid for breakfast next morning but wish i hadn't as done myself a cofee went back for food but most had run out ended up waiting nearly fifteen minutes for more to come out and then got back to my table someone had taken my coffee away. It was really busy and they were bringing hot food out in small silver trays just simply not enough dont think they could cope with the amount of people. Room was nice and clean tho lovely comfortable beds.

It was nice that it was 10 min away from the “plaza,” and 3 min away from the bus stop (since taxis and uber were unavailable due to them being on strike.) however, the bed felt like it was gonna break if we even turned at night, the bathroom was dirty, and there was no soap, shampoo or conditioner (we had some, but they didnt provide any.)

Excellent Hotel for a relaxing holiday.

The Rafael Forum Alcalá de Henares is a short walk from the centre of Alcalá de Henares (about 10 minutes) where there is lots of history and plenty of places to eat and drink. About 5 minute walk away was lovely park. The hotel itself is both a business and leisure hotel with a mixture of guests, although i would not say it was suitable for families with very young children. The room i had was a superior room with a jacuzzi bath which i would highly recommend, although the room was clean and comfy, it could do with a little bit of maintenance (such as the board at the back of the bed was starting to come away). On the roof of the hotel was a jacuzzi plunge pool which was very refreshing on a hot sunny day and covered places to sit away from the hot sun. The breakfast in the morning was absolutely fabulous with both hot and cold options of food, bean to cup coffee machines and a huge selection of teas as well as orange juice and water. There was something for everyone although there is a supermarket a few minutes walk away. The food in the hotel was surprisingly good, the restaurant has a good range and the room service had a great selection which was cooked fresh and brought quickly to your room. The hotel was easy to get to by bus from the airport, with a bus stop just across the road with buses to the airport every half hour and busses to Madrid every few minutes. I would recommend this hotel if you are visiting alcalá de henares and will stay here again.

On The hotel website it says the jacuzzi at the terrace opens in spring and summer. On arrival, I was told it is closed and only opened in summer.

Wifi at the hotel is horrible. I could not place WhatsApp calls not to talk about watching movies online.

The hotel location is very far from Madrid and the area is not the greatest.

The hotel is a short distance outside the center, but inside walking distanse. Breakfast was very good. Wi-Fi-not very fast. The bed was in the middle of the room facing the window ,facing an appartment building. Needed to have the blinders down at all time. It was very hot ouside, but the aircondition was very good.

Comfortable and a good deal but....

Very comfortable hotel, beds were better than most. More dust in the room than there should have been. One big problem is there was no mention when I booked this hotel that the restaurant was closed from July 16-August 26. Good thing I didn't select the breakfast plan. Nearest restaurant was 1/2 mile from hotel. Also no mention of a 12eu/day parking fee. There is parking on the nearby streets but all of these items should be listed under hotel notes.

Lovely hotel, little attention to detail

Facilities were nice enough, though the tv speakers were absurdly loud and i was unable to adjust them. I'm sure if i asked for assistance they could have fixed it, but being welcomed by blasting speakers after a long day of traveling isn't really ideal.
The day I checked out I waited ten minutes before having to access the employee area to get a reveptionist to check out. She was nice, and i appreciate the waiting taxi they have out front. Room and a/c were nice, but for the price i would hope for better customer service.

I highly recommend this hotel!

Hotel staff super nice. Our flight arrived to Spain from US at 7:00am. We got to the hotel at 9:00am. We were exhausted by the trip. The receptionist had the housekkepers prepare a room for us and let us check in at 9:30am at no extra charge! The attitude was one of kindness and compassion and how can they help us. No begging on our part.
Very pleased and impressed. Room clean. Quiet. Comfortable bed.
Thank you for a pleasant stay. Definitely would go back. Very professional!

Nice modern hotel away from the centre of Madrid

A nice modern hotel within a short walk to the very nice town of Alcalá de Henares. The WiFi was a bit hit and miss (not reliable) but the cabled internet in the room thankfully worked all the time at 20Mb. There were no tea/coffee facilities in the room, but the desk and safe were good, also a mini bar fridge to keep your drinks chilled from the Mercadona supermarket a very short walk away. I ate in the restaurant once and the food was of a good standard. Plenty of nice restaurants in the town too. Maybe the cleaners could pay a bit more attention to dusting/cleaning the floor under the chairs, but overall a pleasant stay.

Clean modern hotel w good transport links

This hotel was fantastic and I recommend it to anyone who visits Madrid and doesn't want to stay in a busy, overcrowded hotel in the centre. Upon arrival, after reading several reviews I requested a 'room with a view' and after hotel didn't have any 'view' double rooms left, they kindly upgraded us free of charge to superior suite double room, with the 'view'. The view overlooks Alcala and the rest of Madrid. Room is lovely, super clean and large bathroom with two sinks, jacuzzi style bath tub and shower. There is small (cold water!) shallow pool on roof top which is great too.

We bought the package with the breakfast (recommend), buffet style continental with a little hot food, fresh fruit and meats, and freshly squeezed orange juice. Recommend breakfast as although theres a really cheap supermarket next door, theres only one other cafe about 5mins walk which serves food very nearby, but it looked pretty cheap outside. Staff at hotel were friendly, spoke English and were helpful in giving info for tourist needs.

Hotel is easily located by bus from T2 Barajas airport. Get the 824 bus and stop at 'Puerto De Madrid' (3.60EUR single) and takes around 40mins. We were told a taxi would cost min of 40EUR so I really recommend bus as they are spacious, clean, air conditioned. From that exact bus stop (facing the opp direction), take the 223 bus (3.60EUR) and it takes you to Av. de America stop (central Madrid) which is on the metro.

Overall, brilliant hotel & highly recommend!

Our only com-paint was the total lack of information in either the hotel lobby or in the room information concerning the cost of breakfast. This was excellent but the cost should have been known in advance.
