We stayed here for several days and the proximity to the bus for travel into Old Town Dubrovnik was very easy.

The room was beautiful and bed very comfortable. We had a beautiful view of the ocean from our 5th floor balcony.

Restaurant called Piramida was just a short walk down the hill and was so delicious we ate there 4 times.

Breakfast was beyond outstanding from made to order omelettes, fresh breads, fruits and delicious meats. So much variety!

Lots for families from what we could see. Just an excellent experience all the way!

Nicely situated hotel outside of Old Town Dubrovnik. Many amenities. Only thing is if you have to go to bed before 10pm, request a room that isn’t over the main reception/and bar area since music is played and the bar closes at 11pm. Hotel has incredible breakfast options included.

Late check in went very smoothly. Amazing breakfast buffet, comfy beds no fitted sheets so the sheet went everything during the night. Also, screen in shower is too small and resulted into flooding half the bathroom. Lovely location on the water and quiet area, far from the bustle of old town Dubrovnik.

The property was located in an excellent area and bus no.6 is cross the street to take you to old town. The bus tickets could be purchased in the hotel and it was really easy and convenient to access the old town without a car.
The dining options are excellent, breakfast was included and had excellent choices and options. Really impressed with the whole experience at Valamar Lacroma Hotel. We also had access to the beach in the sister hotel President and the service and staff was excellent throughout the property. Highly recommend this hotel. 10 out of 10 ratings.

Excellent modern hotel, lots of activities for kids - the Maro World centre is brilliant (games, trampolines, soft play, video games, Lego, etc) and the pool options are great. Breakfast buffet also excellent. Lots of food options round the hotel and neighbourhood. Easy access to Dubrovnik Old Town area via bus or taxi. (Get the Dubrovnik pass)

Staff seemed lovely but some were not very effective.
The room was dirty, even after a few complaints, it wasn't fixed. They could so with an upgrade.
The spa was brilliant, and I had the best Thai massage.
The classes inntge gym which was one of the key reason I chose the hotel didn't happen, instructor didn't turn up and then said they wouldn't run.
The pool was packed.
Breakfast was delicious except for there being one drinks machine that you had to queue for
For 10 minutes each time to get water or juice which spoiled it.

I wouldn't stay here again, but I'm sure it would suit some people.

We stayed at a hotel that is impressively committed to sustainability and environmental responsibility, which I truly appreciate. The grounds were modern yet beautifully designed, with unique features and thoughtful touches throughout.

That said, the room had a musty odor, and the air conditioning was limited to a minimum of 22°C (set between 24–22°C), which could be uncomfortable—especially for someone like me going through menopause. Our room faced the full sun during the day, so it did get quite warm when the A/C was off while we were out.

One standout was the breakfast—truly one of the best I’ve ever had. There were countless options catering to a wide range of dietary needs, allergies, and preferences. It was thoughtfully curated and delicious.

Another highlight was the Coral Beach Club nearby—an absolutely stunning and lively spot where we truly felt like VIPs. There’s no entry fee; you simply cover the cost of food and drinks, and they provide everything else—an incredible value.

The hotel also seems like a wonderful place for families with young children, with plenty of activities to keep them engaged. Although I didn’t get the chance to try the spa, it looked like a serene and luxurious space worth exploring on a future visit.

Standard hotel room, needed to request a walk in shower instead of a bath/shower combo. The Buffet Dinning for Breakfast and Dinner provided great food. Wait staff would benifit with better training. Cleaning staff would definately need further training, and be on hand throughout the dining times. Some patrons were very messy and didnt care.

Our stay at Valamar Lacroma was delightful! We informed them we were on our honeymoon and they upgraded our room to a stunning Suite, such a thoughtful gesture! We especially loved every staff member we met, their service was top tier. We especially want to give a shout out to Dubravka and Hrvoje at the front desk who helped us with a very complicated issue and spent quite some time translating for us! We also got great recommendations and service from Dominik and Marin! Also have to mention breakfast, loved the selections!

One side note, you do have to walk pretty far for the beach. We definitely wished that there was a more private beach option we could use with lounge chairs that you don't have to pay for.

Gorgeous hotel and loved the indoor pool. The check in staff were friendly. The only downside was the buffet restaurant - breakfast was okay but the service was poor. Many tables had not been set, and we had to take cutlery off another table. Food was just okay. The dinner buffet was worse. Took 20 minutes for our drinks to come, again no cutlery. Food was just okay again but definitely not worth €35 pp. breakfast was included in the price of our stay, but I would suggest going out of the hotel for dinner. Otherwise, it was clean and bright, restaurant was the only let down.

Nice location and lots of natural light. Decor was clean but dated, circa late 70s or early 80s. Hotels.com website claims gym is 24/7, which was a big factor for those of us suffering jet lag. Actual hours were 7 am - 9 pm, and the staff was prickly but ultimately accommodated our early entry. Tons of kids - best for families and not suck a great pick for a quiet, older couple.

Nice hotel, rooms are much more dated than reception and key areas of the hotel. Noisy till late on the ground floor and did not enjoy that drinks were at cost at dinner (even water) and extremely overpriced. Spa was great but treatments are overpriced. Good variety of buffet food for breakfast and dinner but allergies not handled well at all - no nut labels for me as a nut allergy sufferer and staff were clueless about helping me which was disappointing

Great hotel and very handy for buses they stop just across the road outside the hotel. Direct to old town, lapad, and gruz harbour which is where most islands boat trips leave from .
Lovely walking trails just down from the front of the hotel that takes you along the promenade of lapad past the cave bar or to gruz harbour if walking the other direction. I would definitely stay here again

Enjoyed our stay. Nice pool and private lounger area on the side. Breakfast was huge and had a lot of options. The private beach nearby was nice and we were only about a 10 min walk from Coral Beach Club which was great. The hotel had a beautiful sunset and live music outside on the terrace. Rooms were a good size and although it had carpet it wasn't that bad. The only negative thing was that the bar fridge and safe were not working but then they came to fix it. It was about a 10 min /10 Euro Uber to the old town. I would recommend this property if you want to stay near Dubrovnik but still be near the beaches.

It’s doesn’t feel like a 4 star hotel more like a 3.5. No complementary water, breakfast is decent, the advertising online isn’t very accurate. The images do not fully dictate what you actually get, the “ocean view” - there is an ocean view but not as beautiful as advertised. The pictures show a volleyball court - they don’t have one. Old town is about a 15-20 minute drive away.

We loved the hotels location to sister hotels that you can visit and enjoy and dine in. Along with ease for paying with your room key at any of the restaurants. The gym was great and pools and breakfast buffet was on a par with those on cruise ships. The a la carte option was wonderful and great value for the 3/4/5 course options.
Lounge bar serving Decaf was great too.
We had a wonderful stay and the hotel smelled fantastic fresh and clean and aroma of lemon verbena.
The staff are helpful, knowledgable and friendly.
Concierge was wonderful at organising a boat trip with someone reputable with amazing food and drinks and information with no none se transfers door to door.
Everything runs on time and the bus station nearby meant we could go into town cheaply by buying a ticket from the hotel shop and hop aboard ahead of the crowds further down the hill into the old town.
Totally recommend and would love to come back.

We had a short stay here. All staff were welcoming and accommodating. Coming just after the summer school holidays also an advantage as the pool area never felt over crowded or noisy.

Light entertainment in the evening if you decide to eat at the hotel.

Bus stop is just outside the Hotel with buses running around every 10 minutes to the old town. Time to and from between 10 and 20 minutes depending on the time of day and tickets can be purchased for a small discount from the hotel shop.

We also went down to the beach which is public but not bad through sunbeds are a little expensive.

Over all I would definitely recommend to a friend and happily stay again.

Seldom do properties seem as great as they are advertised but this place was remarkable. First class service and wonderful accommodations. The multi room hotel is broken up into smaller segments, making it seem more intimate than it would otherwise. The setting is sublime, set back from the sea but high enough in elevation to get a view. Southern and western orientation makes the expansive outdoor terrace and pools shimmer at sunset.

The hotel is clean and well-maintained.

The staff were universally friendly, helpful, and efficient.

The room was good, with a massive bed, but the linen was undersized and kept untucking.

It was unusually hot while we were there. Our room was on the top floor and the air conditioning struggled to keep the temperature down. Reception kindly reduced the minimum temperature when I raised the issue. That helped, but even with the aircon set at 17 deg C 24 hours a day, the room was never really cool other than in the early hours of the morning. Our sons stayed on the second floor and their room was fine, so I assume the issue is heat soaking through the ceiling from the roof space.

It's a short walk down to the water. We went for a swim in the sea every morning before breakfast - best bit of the holiday!

The buffet breakfast was great. I was less impressed with the buffet dinner (which I only had once). There were lots of options, but nothing was particularly impressive. I tried several of the desserts at the end and was genuinely surprised at how poor most of them were.

It's a small thing, but both the filter and espresso machine coffee were dreadful. It really took the shine off an otherwise excellent breakfast experience.

Another small thing: the shower gel was rubbish (both smell and lathering) and there was no conditioner.

Despite imperfections, overall we were happy with the experience and would return (as long as they could guarantee a room on a lower floor).

This hotel is really great. It is modern, in great condition, with good amenities. You also have the added bonus of using the amenities of the several sister Valamar hotels next door. The only negative is that the location is surrounded by hotels so eating options are limited and there isn't a fun strip to walk to.

The room is satisfactory and clean but airconditioning can be further improved. The phone in the room is also not working and was not repaired even after reported it. They provided us a free bottle of proseco for our anniversary so it was a great touch. The beach in front of the hotel was impressive with clear waters. The breakfast was amazing as well with great variety. Gym, spa and pool are also open for extended periods compared to other hotels (7am to 9pm). Highly recommended

I don’t feel this property was exactly as advertised. The pool area was small for the number of guests, I never managed to find a lounge chair. The beach required you to pay for a lounge chair for the day and was difficult to find - about a 15 min walk from the hotel. Upon checking in a bit early, I was happy to wait for the room. When I returned at the advised time, the room still wasn’t ready. Rudely the staff told me to wait for official check in, later checking in other guests behind me in the line. It felt like a mid level all inclusive resort, which was not what I was anticipating.

Gorgeous hotel, pristinely clean, facilities are great with plenty to do around the hotel and beach 10 minute walk away.
Staff so friendly, breakfast buffet is delicious, everything fresh and lots of variety. Location is great 10 minutes on the bus to old town (bus stop end of the driveway) 20 minute walk into Lapad on a gorgeous coastal path. My only negative comments are that our room was a little dated in decor and the bed was 2 singles pushed together instead of a double. However these were only small negatives and were not enough to outweigh all the positives of a great hotel and perfect holiday. I 100% recommend this hotel!

It was an amazing place with private beaches. Our room faced the Adriatic Sea and the sunsets were gorgeous! The breakfasts offered a variety of foods and so did the dinners. The staff was very helpful and friendly! We had a great experience!!

Excellent facilities at the Valamar Lacroma which ad a real luxury feel. The views of the islands from the hotel were excellent especially at sunset from the Vero bar. The bus to Old Town was easy to catch from outside the hotel and only €2. We had the best time and would recommend to anyone.

We had a lovely weeks stay at this hotel, nice and clean. Our room had a view of the sea and elephiti islands which was so beautiful to wake up to in the morning. The pool both indoors and out was not overcrowded and there was always sun loungers available for everyone to enjoy ( no mad rush with towels to reserve your spot)!! The buffet breakfast was fabulous with a wide range of choices for everyone. We also dined at the meditteraneo restaurant and enjoyed the vegetarian options available on our 1st visit however on our second dining experience the we found that the options available were more for side dishes and the choice for vegetarians was limited in terms of main dishes. The Veno bar is great for drinks and cocktails as well as light bites..(their fries are very yummy 😊) The waiters were attentive and pleasant. We did use the bus and it took around 15 minutes to old town. The bus stop is just outside at the top of the entrance to the hotel so super convenient. We did have a problem with our telephone in our room so every time we needed concierge we had to actually go downstairs to the reception and talk to them in person. We mentioned the telephone issues with the staff at the reception desk but the issue remained unsolved, however this didn't deter from our enjoyment of our stay at the hotel.
