The lead up to and check in, emails and telephone calls in process of booking and checking in was very stressful and left us uncertain whether we had a reservation or had paid twice as Expedia had already confirmed we had been charged .Reception would not listen . This has never occurred with any previous reservation I have made worldwide. Pity because restaurant staff were very helpful and friendly.

Considering the price/level of the hotel, lack of a coffeemaker in the room was a surprise. Second time we've stayed there and I would stay again.

Perfect hotel for a golf holiday
Excellent staff, very professional and nothing too much trouble, very thoughtful, excellent food and good amenities. Surrounded by 4 good courses and staff happy to drop off and pick up at any time. Excellent bar after dinner and great piano players. Highly recommended!

The hotel has a fantastic location, next to the nature reserve and the beach. The view from our balcony was amazing. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Loungers and towels were provided at the beach which is a real bonus and only a few minutes walk. Overall, a very enjoyable and relaxing stay, we will definitely be back.

Very nice hotel, with a good restaurant and excellent food. At first we thought that the prices were high, but in fact, relative to similar standard restaurants, prices were reasonable. The rooms were very good, but the air conditioning was a little noisy.
The pool area was a little small, but overall the facilities were good with a lovely garden.
The only draw back was that it is very close to the flight path into Faro airport, so it does suffer from aircraft noise throughout the day.
Staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you.
The Laguna bar was especially nice with great views at sunset.

Lovely hotel a little 'remote'
There is nothing to fault about this beautiful and stylish hotel, except its location... Nothing wrong with where it sits overlooking the Ria Formosa and close to the beach etc. But if you want to go to a restaurant/shop etc. it is a long taxi ride with nothing walkable apart from one beach restaurant. So its car hire, which negates restaurant exploring! That said, the recently open Bovino next door (although a 20 min stroll on the road) is likely to become a firm favourite of steak loving visitors.
