Staff so friendly and helpful. We were glad we were in the bungalow with our own pool and veranda with se view as you got a lovely breeze from the sea. Only thing would have made this 5 stars if there was a communal air conditioned area as no escape from the heat other than your room. Lovely stay and highly recommend

We stay at Samui Resotel for 5 nights. From check in to check out was good. Every Staff were polite, friendly and really helpful with exceptional customer services from the first day to last day. Our air conditioning in the room was broken and didn’t work for hours. We reported to the reception and got offer to move to a new room if the issue couldn’t fix. They sent technicians to come to fix it promptly and finally, the problem was fixed in very short time. The room was good and spacious with all amenities you need! There were 2 water of bottles refilled everyday and you actually can ask for more if needed. The tv program was not great for foreigners. If the hotel can set up the Netflix app on telly, it would be great. The plunge pool was small but clean and good enough for morning and night dip in. The main pool with swim up bar was also great as well. The buffet breakfast was good choices each day and tasty. On the last night, my husband got food poisoning! He got vomits and diarrhoea many times and I asked the reception if I could get some more water and the housekeeper brought them right away! If you want to go to the main chaweng or Samui central, you can book the shuttle bus at the reception at 2 pm to drop you there or book at 6 pm to pick you up and back to hotel. There are many red songtaew taxis to go by yourself anytime and cost 100 bahts/ person each way. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and will stay here again next times! Highly recommend!

If you are aftering for a quiet and relaxing resort, this may be just for you. We decided not to pick resorts in Chaweng Central and so Glad we made the wise choice and we absolutely enjoyed our 6 nights in one of the Superior Seaview unit on the 3rd level.
IMO, Pool Access unit is not usable as outside your balcony is like a drain ( 2 arms length in width ).
Round trip shuttle to Central which make it very convenient though slow walk will take you less than 30mins. Breakfast items were more than adequate. Khun Nan the front desk staff service is simply impeccable.

The staff were excellent and accommodating, with Chao standing out for being especially friendly to my travel companions and I. All the staff—whether in as bar or wait staff, housekeeping, reception or behind the scenes—were always helpful, providing information or finding someone who could assist or just being friendly in general.

The pools were clean, and the rooms were spacious. Access to the beach was convenient, and the buffet breakfast was well-prepared, offering a great selection for both Western and Eastern tastes.

Ground floor room facing the swimming pool was great value for money. Restaurant food was very good albeit I mostly ate out in the local Thai restaurants. Location of the hotel is a a bit further away from the main nightlife than I would have liked but it was easy enough to pick up the local \"baht bus\" on the road outside.

Breakfast is good. We stayed at a garden villa, which had its own pool next to a patio. Bathroom is spacious, and so is the room. The property is older, but I have had no issues with the cleanliness. This hotel is next to a beautiful beach.

We got the swim up room for the first half and LOVED it. There were tiny things here and there you can tell the room just needs a deep clean and polishing of the silver but otherwise, it was WORTH the money for the swim up. The wifi is really terrible so don't try to work while you're there or take conference calls because you will be dropped. Great quiet location w good highly rated restaurants nearby you can walk to. Staff was so sweet and friendly, esp housekeeping. My only gripe was the crappy wifi. They even tried to fix it with our second room and it was still spotty and dropped conference calls at 3am at night even with a new router in the room.

Hotel is nice and staff very friendly.
But there was reconstruction during our stay in the breakfast/Lobby area which was leading to noise. Furthermore we found screws and other building material by the sunbeds not very good. I would advise that in future the hotel should be closed for such improvements.

Very nice hotel close to the beach. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful and included a separate buffet for Thai food which was excellent! Room was spacious and patio/deck was enjoyable. My one and only complaint is with the laundry. I had some laundry done and it came back reeking of smelly perfume. I had to seal up those clothes in a plastic bag because they smelled so bad and I could not wear them. Even after washing them at home three times, there is still the smell of toxic perfume chemicals. I do not know what was used on my clothes but I would encourage the hotel to stop using toxic smelly perfumey products in their laundry. Thank You.

Nice and quiet hotel right in front of the beach.

Got a room with private pool facing the sea. It’s a bit expensive but the view is fantastic. Able to watch sunrise from the room. Very friendly front office staff but can’t say the same thing for the engineer who came to fix the lock. Restaurants, tour booking offices and spa are within walking distance.

you will be attracted by the huge discount, the hotel worth it exactly what you pay.
It is nice resort, but staff is unfriendly and overall it is old, it needs an update. I am pretty sure 10 years ago looked better.
Wifi not always worked in the room and staff if so attentive if you take anything from the room, even if you paid already a lot the room.
when you check out they make you wait until someone check if you stole those precious flip flop! ridiculous for a 4 star resort.
reading other comments on this resort, I made sure I did use anything in the room and I did not to pay any extra.

We found the hotel a little run down, the cleanliness of the room was ok but the breakfast not so good, we paid for a spa room however the spa was broken and we couldn’t use it, there was no offer of help or room change or compensation, we probably wouldn’t stay there again.

Nice place to stay away from the noise and yet be close to the action. Poolside rooms are great to lay there n listen to the waterfall.
Bike rental accross the road at reasonable rates so everything is now at your doorstep.

I recommend it to you, my friends and I'd stay there again.

We arrived unannounced a few hours prior to check in and were pleasantly surprised when staff said they will have our room ready for us in half an hour. Staff would not let us carry our own bags. We stayed here for our honeymoon and they had a yummy little love heart shaped \"happy honeymoon\" cake waiting for us in the room. Staff were always very friendly and smiling. We stayed in one of the delux Seaview rooms on the second level, the room and the view was lovely. We did consider staying in one of the private pool rooms but we were glad we didn't when we got there because they weren't really private as they are all open to the main pool area or directly across from each other. The few at the very front looked amazing though. The room itself was large and felt fresh with all the white. Large bathroom. Good aircon. Rooms cleaned daily and they even folded and put a side some of my husbands clothes for him. Breakfast included was good; a great selection of food and eggs made to order. The resort was undergoing some renovations to the front which for us wasn't really an issue, we didn't notice much noise. The pool bar wasn't functional (not seemily due to the renos) which was a little disappointing. Gym is basic with a few cardiovascular machines and a few free weights but works and does have air con. We hired a scooter so went a little bit away from the area to eat but there was a few restaurants near by. We extended our stay here by another 3 nights and would stay again.

Dissapointed for the money we spent.

We arrived early, 1030 and were allowed to leave our luggage there and explore. This we did, having lunch and arriving back at the hotel at 2.45 only to find our room was not ready. We waited another 35 min in the lobby before it was right to go.
On entering the room we found it to be clean and comfortable with all the amenities we needed, even down to washing powered to clean our cloths. There were 2 queen size beds in the room, which would have been better if it was one bed and a sitting area with lounge or something similar, but that is just what we would have liked.
Beware, if you drop a glass by accident, they charge you!!!. We paid $250 Aus odd per night and one would assume that one broken glass would be covered by this fee, but NO.
The plunge pool included in our unit was very welcoming and we used it several times, however be VERY careful getting in and out as the grill that the water washes into is dodgy and my Husband stood on it and it fell into the grate cutting his foot. We informed them that the ledge the grill was sitting on was not wide enough to hold this but all they did was put it back in place for it to happen again.
BEWARE if you have children as this could have terrible results.
And the last thing was that the breakfast was stone cold every day we went. If you wanted other than cereal or fruit, Everything in the Bane Maries was always cold. WE ate at 8.30 one day and 6.30 another so it wasn't just the time, it was the service.

Checked in and was taken two a room which had 2 beds! I never book 2 beds so I felt as though they had tried to slip one past me with the shock and awe. Took them over an hour to clean the new room which we sat at the bar during happy hour and purchased our on drinks. This really took me over the edge. After waiting over an hour and the staff not letting me know the room was ready did it for me.

I cannot speak highly enough of this Hotel. Excellent spacious rooms, impeccably clean. Wonderful location on beach. However, the highlight for me was the incredible staff. The friendliness, efficiency, happiness and willingness to help at all times was as good as I have ever experienced. They are superb! Great Hotel. Definitely will stay again, next time for much longer. Terrific value for money.

Just a tourist trap, way over rated. I'm sure if you bother to stay here it will be only once, like us. We will never return as their are much nicer places to stay. Looks and sounds real nice but not, no sitting area except on the bed. No microwave, ac inefficient, view straight into your room from three neighboring rooms. I'm sure they have no repeat guests. Breakfast wasn't bad....

Water pressure a little unstable so the pipes under bath tub burst and staff were a bit slow to respond telling us to wait in our room and they would send someone, but no one came until sometime went to reception and yelled at them then they quickly resolved it.

After flooding the bathroom due to a blockage in the bath. The staff moved us to a new room at 1am. Rooms are comfortable and breakfast was of a good standard for Asia. Big plus point was a good powerful shower which refreshed you from the heat. Pool had jets which was very welcome for the muscles after walking on beach

The resort is near many restaurants when you walk on the main street. The breakfast was a simple western breakfast. I only realised that chaweng beach water is very murky and cannot snorkel at all, maybe it is because it has just passed monsoon when i went there. Overall it is good and not so noisy as it is away from the noisy area of chaweng which is central festival area while riding on a tuk tuk will get you there with a cheap fare. The pool linked room is a disappointment as the water is only 1.5 m and the width of the swimming pool was so small i cant even swim breatstroke luckily they have a bigger main pool nearby. The staff are friendly and helpful too.

a bit of everything, view, beach, hotel and resort

The view was not what we were expecting, room was clean but towels were not good enough. Beds on the beach not clean enough.
However it was welcoming and nice beach although crowded. The room looked at the sea but noisy because of the street right back at your door and then the water which was pumped to the pool. Instead of listening to the sea we heard water jetted into the pool. Breakfast was moderate but sufficient.

Samui Resortel, an amazing couples destination.

The resort was spectacular! At the far end of chaweng beach where it is away from the all the noise, but still close enough to visit alot of fantastic bars and restaurants. The beach side was private and quiet, making it perfect for a relaxing couples getaway. The ocean view villa was more amazing than I expected. The staff were friendly and welcoming, happy to help out when ever requested. The room itself was very clean, spacious and the bathroom was luxurious. The pool overlooking the ocean was the best part, very private and very easy to access the beach. The breakfasts where sensational! Freshly cooked eggs to your choosing and lots of other dishes to indulge in. Every room/villa in the resort has a private or shared pool! 100% worth it, will not disappoint, we will return again!

Nice location but the facilities need facelift

I wanted to spend weekend on Samui while on a business trip to Bangkok. The description and the rate at this hotel appeared to be reasonable, so I've booked a Superior Sea View room. Fortunately, a friend of mine arrived there few days earlier and realized that while the balconies face the ocean, the room doors lead to an open hallway overlooking the noisy street that goes along the beach. In addition to loud motorbike traffic there are also slowly moving vans with loudspeakers broadcasting commercials all night. So upon arrival I have upgraded my room to a garden villa facing a small pool. It was very nice and comfortable, but in need of facelift, just like the rest of the hotel. It would have been a solid 4-star, if not its condition. If I go to Samui next time, I will probably chose another hotel in a better condition.

Fabulous resort in Chaweng

My wife and I stayed 11 days at Samui Resotel. We booked an Ocean Pool villa and we loved it. It gave us lot of privacy and we had a wonderful seaview and easy access to the beach. The room is a bit updated and need some cosmetic but this is not a big issue. Samui Resotel is the only resort which offers Ocean Pool villa in Chaweng. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful as well. I highly commended the quality of the staff and their excellent customer service. My wife needed to buy some medication for her asthma and the product was only available at the clinic. The staff offered to drive us at the clinic with their shuttle bus. The resort is closed to town as well and is located at the end of the beach which provide us with fewer people on the beach. The restaurant across the street provides excellent thai food at a good price and the owners/staff are extremely nice. I definitely recommend Resotel if you want to spend a week in Ko Samui.

Although the weather was fairly poor (as expected in low season) we had an amazing time at Resotel. The hotel was situated the prefect distance away from the main Chaweng beach area so it was quiet when desired. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely consider staying here again and recommending this hotel to friends and family.

I stayed there for four days and we booked a ocean pool villa. The resoet is nice and the view from the room is amazing. Overall stay for satisfactory except some bad experience at the time of checkout.
We had a early morning flight and did ask for the final settlement. They said the room will be checked later. After we left the room with our luggage the front desk receive a call stating that we have used some items from the mini bar. We were charged for one bottle of water, bottle of soda and 2 bottle of colddrinks. These items were never utilised by us. Still we had to pay as we were getting late for the airport.
Would request every1 to check all these items in front of yourself before leaving the room.

Great deluxe rooms worth every penny

This hotel was great as the location at the end of the beach meant it was a little quieter than the hectic town end. We moved between. Private pool , public pool and beach easily with smile from the staff who were very friendly. Chaweng beach was a little more 'tacky' than I had expected with the shops being very repeative

Good hotel with reasonable price.

Location can be a bit better if you wish you to go out to Chaweng beach (20 min walk or short taxi ride).

The towels were a bit old (kind of gray). We had some ants on the table next to the minibar.

Nice holiday but disappointed in the hotel.

The hotel is suitable to meet your needs but nothing special. The pool is the nicest part and it's location on the beach is nice. i stayed in this area because I was meeting my daugheter and her friends who were backpacking. If you are not into nighllife and just want a quiet nice vacation don't stay in this area. Suggest bophut or crystal beach. You can walk to lots of restaurants near here but not the nice ones and in the end you will want transpositions anyway,. Shooters are the earliest and cheapest. The breakfast was strand are Asia fare. Felt this hotel was overpriced for its overall condition and service. The staff was not helpful in anyway to plan your vacation or give you any suggestions, they keep the room clean and the towels but other that that do not expect anything more, Disappointed and would not recommend them,

Great Villa in Beautiful surroundings

We stayed in a duplex villa which was fantastic. The rooms were amazing consisting of a a lounge area, wet room, bathroom and ifinity pool (Private) on the entry level floor. Downstairs in the duplex was a bedroom with another bathroom/shower and large bath. Very romantic and cozy rooms. The infinity pool was the greatest part of the villa for me. with amazing panaramic views of the south coast of Phuket. The lounge also had great views with curtain walling enabling you to view the beaches and ocean from the comfort of the living area. It was beatiful to watch the Sunrise and sunset. The hotel was under a soft opening and the staff and facilities were undergoing some work and we found it fustraiting when ordering food/drinks and the hotel bar/restaurant as many times the order was wrong. They were happy to correct any mistakes although it was fustraiting to have to wait for the staff to correct the orders. The villas were on a hillside and had a significant amount of stairs to climb daily to reach the villa/restaurant from the entrance reception. This was tyring. They are constructing lifts but they were not complete when we visited. There was also issues with the drainage and we had a couple of nights with a foul water drain smell lingering in the bedroom of our villa which due to on-going construction was something we had to deal with. The staff did offer us a new villa away from the drainage when we raised our concerns about the smell.

Great hotel, and staff are excellent

The hotel is good quality with nice grounds and facilities, we had a great stay for a week and were very well looked after. The location is good, being on the edge of the busy part of Chaweng, but only 5mins walk from the action. The staff are friendly and attentive and you lack for nothing. It's a very good option.

Stayed for a week for 2 friends!

Great hotel! We stayed in a pool assess villa which was a upgrade on what we had booked! The room was clean and spacious even for 3 adults! The facilities were great and the hotel is on the quieter end of chaweng beach which for me was a bonus! Only thing to mention is the food and drinks in the hotel are quite expensive but there is a family mart just opposite and lots of nice resturants within east walking distance!

Good Bang for your Buck

Make sure to stay in the new building by the pool which is marvelous. We did not see the interior of the private villas. Our sea view room 2301 was terrific. The breakfast buffet is more than adequate, the evening restaurant food was tasty. The staff are great. You definitely get a good bang for your buck at this place. I would stay here again. Ask for Jack. He's the duty manager who makes sure that all your needs are met.

Great beachfront hotel

Amazing time with wonderful staff who even left a birthday cake for my brother on his birthday!
Everyone was very friendly and the facilities were good. Small resort and wasn't fully booked which was nice for us. Would definately recommend this hotel if in Samui we would stay again
