The location is great to walk to massage places, restaurants and right on the beach. The pool area/beachfront was nice and seemed to have enough chairs for all. The staff are excellent! Very accommodating and friendly!
The bed was comfortable, but linens and towels are worn.
Outside the bathroom (which is only screens and wood slats) the staff congregate and talk at all hours of the night. Maybe it’s the next door resort? They are very close with only a wall separating.
There are many floodlights along the path outside the door to the room and they shine right into the room. Someone kept turning it to shine into the window and we’d turn it back down to the ground so we could sleep and along would come someone else to turn it back to shine into the window. Very annoying! They need lower wattage or different angles for them.
The breakfast was a good- eggs, meats, salad, Thai dishes, yogurt and breads.
We liked the location a lot and rented scooters to visit farther away places.

Amazing pool and beachfront boutique hotel

Small boutique resort. Stayed for a couple of nights in April ‘24. The exterior is beautifully landscaped and what a pool overlooking the beach! It was not that busy so could always get a lounger. Happy hour specials at the pool and a wonderful breakfast. Located on the quieter side of Chaweng beach, but walkable to the central area. Had a ground floor room with a comfortable bed. The air conditioning unit is right above the bed which could be bothersome. Robes and slippers were provided and basic toiletries. Nice rainfall shower.

It was so bad we did not stay. We were not given the room we booked. Physically challenging for me and actually quite dangerous. Stairs with no railing etc. Reminded us of a hostel not a hotel. Was not anything like the pictures both rooms and grounds.Just beware!

The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Always trying to make the stay pleasent for you.

However, some guests were abusing the friendliness of Thai hosts, putting loudspeakers outside the rooms for an example.

It was a problem of some lizards (I think it was a lizard) that was leaving daily it’s excrements in the room.
I am not sure if something can be done about, probably it is a cost of staying close to the nature.

Perfect location I could walk out my door straight to the pool, pool bar, beach and lounging area.My room was huge and amazing. Staff was friendly and professional would definitely recommend a stay here.The restaurant closed early around 7 or 8 PM but great restaurants are across the street.

Centrally located and a reasonable price. Rooms were great and staff were beautiful.
We were offered an upgrade a few days into our stay, but declined as we were fully happy with the room we had.
Even on our early morning checkout to catch the ferry., the staff had prepared us breakfast boxes, filled with fruit, drinks and eateries for the trip!

Generally a nice hotel. Only downfall was that you needed the metal key inserted for air conditioning and lights etc. This meant that returning to your room in the daytime, you would not be greeted with a cold room. There was help for your baggage on arrival but not for leaving which was disappointing.

Beach was beautiful but very short. During high tide water comes right up to the wall. Chase lounges were in great condition. Pool was delightful. Not deep enough to dive. Waitstaff are very helpful when you get their attention but not too attentive. The room was gorgeous. The air conditioning works really well. I would definitely go back.

The hotel is lovely. all clean, friendly staff.
re pool towels they are quite funny, they will give u kind of token to get towel in the pool,but if u left it in the room you will not get the towel. a bit wired. I got to the pool and just took a towel the staff member literally run after me and raised her voice.
i have asked her to back off and not to bother me again re the token. you can't get even water to the pool area, since they want u to buy from there. So in order to go to the beach u need to cross the pool. I had a bottle of Ciders in my hand. the staff member run after me and told me I can't get it into the pool area
I explained that i going to the beach and leave me alone.
In the Breakfast I took few items for my daughter since she slept in. so the manager asked me not to take out any food from the restaurant.
they have few more rules that are ridicules that make me feel in high School camp.

Wonderful 2 night stay. Staff most pleasant n accommodative. The morning buffet spread was very much to our liking. Great morning views of the sunrise. Away from the hustle and bustle of Chaweng area. Half hour walk from.the Food Court where we had good seafood. Just diagonally across Restaurant NOI.

Beautiful quaint boutique hotel by the sea!

Did a 2 night most pleasant stay. Staff were very attentive. We had a couple of issues during our stay which were taken care straightaway.
A request of a tour to their duplex and sunrise suites during our checkout were done quite immediately. My girlfriend just love it and will return to use them with her family. Indeed pretty impressed with their suites.
It is situated away from the hustle & bustle part of Chaweng beach.
Indeed a beautiful place to watch suns rise each morning.

As the name says, it's a \"Boutique Hotel\", which suited us fine. We stayed for 17 nights during the low season so it was not crowded. The location at the quiet end of the beach gives you plenty of options, it's a short walk to the busier area if you want to party but quiet and relaxed if you just want to relax. Great little restaurants over the road. The staff are very friendly, our room was great. We had one issue with our toilet that was fixed within minutes of reporting it. Highly recommend!

I spent a wonderful holidays with my family. The staff is really friendly and they try to make you feel at home. I loved the swimming poll which connect directly with the beach. Rooms are comfortable and clean. The hotel does not have many room so it is not crowded and there is not noise. The location is really good, with restaurants and shops nearby.

Fantastic hotel close to the action in Chaweng

Great experience in this hotel. The staff were extremely welcoming, the facilities (pool/beach club) were super and the room was absolutely beautiful. Large bath tub is the main feature and the the comfortable bed on the mezzanine above was huge. Overall, very difficult to find any faults with the room. The hot water tap for the bath takes a long time to fill but that's a minor concern. The shower and bathroom is all top notch! Would recommend to anyone!

Awesome, friendly hotel that is on the beach!

Great, friendly, and reasonably-priced hotel. I stayed in a deluxe boutique room, which had a queen-sized bed, featured a large washroom with rain shower option.

3 bottles of complimentary water were offered, and enough toiletries such as shampoo, iron, cotton swabs, mini-fridge, tv, and Arctic-cold AC.

It's about a 25 minute walk to the Samui mall, but you've got many restaurants, Family Mart, and 7-11 right outside the hotel's front door.

Unfortunately our stay here was cut short. We booked this room when we already in Thailand only a couple day before arriving in Koh Samui. After checking in we were informed that the beach was not accessible and we would be welcome to use the beach at another hotel. The wall and staircase leading down to the beach had recently been damaged by waves and since major construction was going on it is blocked off and unsafe to use. The last thing we expected on our beach vacation was the sound of a back hoe working all day by the pool and to be brought to another hotel to use THAT beach.
The hotel and room seemed lovely but the construction zone was unwelcoming and we chose to get our money back stay at another hotel.

Upon checking in was notified a surge wave has taken out our section of the beach which would be closed during our stay. They quickly gave us vouchers for food, drink etc.... and if course the option to stay or look somewhere else or at their sister hotel. My friend and I decided to stay. This staff is amazing. Always looking after us and our well being. They made our stay in Samui great. I highly recommend this hotel. If our beach was usable they would of had 5 stars across the board.

It was raining terribly throughout the stay. Too bad the facilities within the hotel is limited, no spa nor indoor recreational activities. It can be quite boring. We had to settle for the nearby spa outside the hotel.
It was good that they have quite a selection of dvds to keep guest entertained.

Nice hotel situated on the quieter side of Chaweng

We stayed there for 6 nights with a 2 year old toddler. The staffs and doormen were friendly and smiley all the time. If you need to buy water, snacks, etc you can easily get them from the Family Mart across the street. We stayed at the deluxe room so we have 2 floors. The first floor has a hugh bath tub which could easily fit 3 people, a sofa, a TV, a bathroom with shower, and a rod that looks like a tree branch to hang your clothes. The upper floor has a king size bed on the floor, a small balcony, and a TV. I have asked for a cot when I made the booking and it was already setup next to the bed when we got there so that was nice. You can also see the floor below from the upper floor. It is half the size of the space below.
The only things that I would say are that the housekeeping did not clear out the sand and soda cans in the balcony almost the whole period we were there. I have noticed two dead cockroaches (one big one small) near the sofa area. The water pressure was strong but be very careful when you adjust the water temperature because the slightest movement of the tap can change the temp from warm to extremely hot.
When we were there, we experienced no flushing water once (they actually came to fix it quite quickly) and no showering water for a few hours. The hotel staff kept telling me water will come back on in 20 mins so I waited and waited but after an hour later there was still no water so I called again and they told me the same thing until 2 hrs later.

Lovely boutique hotel on Chaweng Beach

We had a lovely stay at this boutique style hotel. The friendliness of the staff made us feel most welcome. When the shower's hot water gave problems, it was sorted out promptly and efficiently. Our room was comfortable and the mattress good. Everything was spotless. There were enough pool and beach couches for all the guests. The breakfasts were good and the breakfast staff excellent.

The staff are probably the friendliest that I have ever come across and I have travelled a lot.
The hotel is located on a beautiful beach and very near some great bars and restaurants.
We had breakfast and sometimes lunch at the hotel and the food was always excellent.

Nice hotel in the quieter part of Chaweng

Very pleasant 10 night stay in a good room. Room was made available in advance of the normal check-in at no extra charge which was great. The bed was comfortable unlike the slabs found in many Thailand hotels. Staff are friendly and helpful. I was ill for a couple of days (nothing to do with the hotel) and it seemed like all the staff knew including the massage ladies. They all expressed their sympathies which was nice if not a little disconcerting.

Front desk staff very efficient and helpful - always got a greeting whenever passing.

Food was good and restaurant staff very attentive - after day 1 they knew my breakfast order without asking.

2 for 1 happy hour twice a day at the pool bar but drinks not that expensive anyway.

Great massages for those that prefer it on the softer side but you can always ask them to step it up.

Our stay at Kirikayan was very enjoyable. We loved the private beach and the smiles of all employees always being kind and helpful. Bed was super comfortable, and room was clean and welcoming after a long day at the beach. It's about 10 minutes walking from a more active part of the town, this allows the hotel to be very quiet at night and still close to shops and restaurants. I'd definitely recommend Kirikayan to anyone looking for a relax time and beautiful beach.

Very nice hotel with private beach and a swimming.

The hotel staff are very helpful.
The hotel has a swimming pool where you can just order food from the bar attached to it.
The hotel is located on the beach.

There is a restaurant in the hotel that operates during most time of the day.

The hotels location is excellent, not on the main noisy street but 10 minutes walk from it - it is a good combination for people who are looking for peaceful night sleep and are not willing to spend a lot of time getting to the action area.

Loved this place. Smaller hotel with great facilities. Sit at the pool which is right on the beach, watch the going ons at the beach. Always plenty of deck chairs and sometimes had the whole pool to ourselves. So relaxing with excellent staff, nothing was too much trouble. We had room 888 which I recommend as we had a beautiful view of the sea and pool.

This is a small 4 star boutique hotel with an amazing beach.
The water was the best at this part of Chewang Beach.
We also stayed in a 5 star hotel in the second part of out holiday which was amazing too (Sareeraya Hotel) but the see was much nicer here in the southern end of Chewang Beach. Crystal clean water , nice sandy beach , very quiet but still close to activities and only 10-15 mins walk to busier beach.

The hotel staff is very nice kind , always smiling and veryu helpful. The restaurants cheap and tasty nearby.
2 mins away from the famous Poppies Hotel and Restaurant and 15-20 mins walk from central Chewang.
We rented a moped just across the road it was cheap and started driving towards Lamai Beach and the South of Koh samui and the waterfalls in the middle of the island. It was also convenient from this part of the island.
Lots of massage options nearby.
Negative: You can hear your neighbours but normally its is very quiet hotel so it wasn't too bad. I would recommend this hotel. Good price and value. Pool is very small but the Beach compensate for it.

Wonderful stay

We stayed at this hotel for 8 nights over new year. We had a wonderful stay and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. A shout out to lay who was very friendly and attentitive.
We had a duplex room which we loved, very comfortable beds and loved the large tub!
They did an event on nye, with food on the beach and entertainment. It was a lot of fun.
Location was perfect for us and an easy walk to main Chaweng.
Pool was very clean and pool bar was perfect.
Would definitely recommend.

A slice of paradise

Well what can I say finally somewhere in Thailand with a comfortable bed. I was suffering with my sleep and this was a welcome luxury for my weary head. The room had the 'wow' factor due to the giant bath with the water fountain tap and would have been even more appreciated if I had someone to share it with.

The breakfast was great with the choice of cooked as well as a buffet style.

Moving onto the outside area with all the green and the little huts on water not to mention the view and infinity pool just polished this hotel for me. I would definitely return and I am not an easily pleased young man.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The staff were fantastic very helpful and a good understanding of English. Small touches like cool facecloths and welcome drink on arrival / elephant shaped towels on the beds / fruit bowl and complimentary water daily were appreciated.
The Breakfast was included was tasty and had a good variety of choices.
Overall the hotel had a nice ambience in a slightly quieter end of town but still in the midst of restaurants / massage spa's and shopping..we'll be back :-)

Boutique hotel all the way!

The hotel is near the end of Chaweng beach and occupies a very narrow plot of land. It is very unassuming from the outside, and driving past you probably would not thinking of staying there.. That however, would be a big mistake!

You'd be missing out on a hotel that has excellent staff (they don't always get the egg order right, but their passion makes up for it), beautiful rooms, wonderful pool and the perfect deck for sun tanning!

If you want a unique hotel where you feel like the only guests, this is the one! We will definitely be back!

The resort is a bit away from the Central Festival shopping center, but easily walk-able, which we did every night. There are numerous great restaurants on the way so you are spoiled for choice food wise. The only side of the island that compares is fisherman's village.

Tip: I would recommend asking for a room as close to the beach as possible. We stayed closest to the road and had our ears bombarded by advertising vehicles that circle the beach roads (no fault of the resort of course).
The most annoying was the shooting range one, playing gun shots, which is not what you want to hear on holiday.
Some work was being done on other rooms and we would have had to downgrade to a deluxe boutique room to move, suffice to say, we loved our deluxe suite and being from SA, can fall asleep to a few gun shots..

Small boutique hotel in the quieter end of chaweng

Better end of chaweng beach with not so many tourists walking along the beach. Good swimming (except for blue ring jelly fish- dangerous - which is this time of year only). Good restaurants across the road and a great bar further down to the left... Keep walking till you see the bamboo chairs and the bright Christmas lights ( looks like a scene from Gilligans Island). Great cheap cocktails 99baht !!!!😁. 4th visit to Koh Samui and 1st time to kirikayan but will stay here in future. Lovely friendly staff. I told them it was my husbands birthday during our stay and they checked his passport and that morning at breakfast they gave him a cake with candles and sang!!!! It was so thoughtful. It's these little things that you rate your experience on.

Lovely hotel, rooms are very spacious and nicely decorated. Staff are always friendly, polite and helpful. Breakfast was great with a big selection. Good location but hotel itself very quiet and peaceful. Pool and view is beautiful as is the beach. Would recommend to anyone looking for a hotel on Samui.

Fantastic small hotel right on the beach

Right on the beach! And this stretch of beach was very clean with clear water and soft sand. For me the best thing was the service which was warm and personal. The room was beautiful, clean and very comfortable, and the grounds were lush and well maintained. The on-site restaurant was pretty average but there are other options nearby, eg Poppie's.

Loved this hotel.
I booked the duplex room which is really stylish and spacious. It had a huge bath tub in the living room that was great to relax in. The bath room was large and again very stylish. Shower was really nice with great water pressure. The room also had 2 TV's with sound system and DVD player, also a good size fridge.

The pool looked small at first glance but once you get in it's perfect, with a swim up bar :)
The beach is just amazing, and right at the end of the hotel. great view from the pool area.

Breakfast was very nice with great staff. and they had great deals for lunch with drinks included for around 195bhat.
The only neg I had about this hotel was on the first day I left an open can near the TV and when I returned there was a line of ants coming from the bathroom. not good, this cleaned and sprayed immediately when reported. I just never left anything out again and we seen no more ants.

I would recommend this hotel to relax and enjoy the beach at Chaweng. If you want to go clubbing every night this may be a little far is it is on the far end of the beach, most taxis wanted 300Bhat to the end of the beach and shopping center.

I was sorry I only stayed here for 3 nights on this trip, I will be back..

Noisy, no privacy

The rooms seem nice at a glance, but have full window doors and windows with low standard blinds. Anyone walking by can look directly into your room, period. There is no fix for this, so there is no actual privacy, and everyone does walk by your room. The rooms are only at ground level with one access way walking between. To keep this one lane lit in the evening, walkway lighting is required, which with sub-standard blinds on your doors and windows means you have a brightly lit room from the outside floodlights. While there (Dec 2014), the hotel was also under construction, blocking all ocean views.

nice overall,however, no option for 2 beds. it is one bed with two mattress', a bit uncomfortable for 2 hetro guys! use caution with their 2 free waters daily, they charged us 30 usd for evian water, claiming the free water is the Thai glass bottle one. away from the crowds of chewang and polite staff

Speaking for my personal experience about the place,
I don't travel much but I have been very fortunate and lucky with where I've stayed, from Vegas Treassure island, to Hilton to some county retreat, to trailer parks,
It's the relaxed atmosphere service and staff that make the place and not the luxury and glamour,
My experience at Kirilayan B
The resort was clean and tidy with excellent service and plenty of smiles and help from all staff,
My day started with a good breakfast at the resort, some say it was pretty average, others say its hmm yeah,
I found breakfast was at its best early in the morning when it's freshly cooked, with eggs cooked as required to your liking,
I never felt as relaxed in a long time staying away from home as I did at Kirikayan Boutique, not once did I think of my home, I thank everyone at the resort for making my holiday as pleasant and relaxing as
It was beyond my expectations, and I will return again.

Great spot in Chaweng beach, quiet and th friendly

Incredibly friendly and wonderful staff. Also, the restaurant I the hotel was amazing! I am not one to eat in the same hotel we stay in, but we found the food fabulous and ate there two different nights. This hotel is also in the soured part of Chaweng, nicely away from the noise and mayhem (but accessible if that's what you want). Would def stay again.

Celebrated honeymoon loved our stay

We had the spa room for 9 days to celebrate our honeymoon. We were welcomed at reception with welcome drinks. We then had our luggage taken to our room where the hotel staff had a cake and champagne. They had also let our friends in before we got there who decorated our room with balloons and signs. In our stay there we had privacy we weren't over run with kids as it's small and personal hotel. Access to they beach is just past the pool and it's on a beautiful part of the beach. Overall a lovely place to stay and perfect for couples who don't want to share a pool with kids and have a hotel with hundreds of guests.

Wedding and honeymoon

We stayed here with the bridal party for our wedding (the wedding was not at the resort). We all had different rooms, ourselves the jacuzzi(perfect!!), &friends in the deluxe & standard so we saw all types. I didn't have ridiculously outrageous expectations (I think some people do) as We have been to Ko Sami a few times before& have stayed in several different standards of accommodation. This hotel was perfect for everything we needed. We weren't fighting with a hundred people for breakfast, the pool or sun lounges(like the big resorts!), the rooms were lovely, & the service was fantastic! Intimate&pefect, & they were happy to help out with organising the bucks party. Thank you for everything kirikayan!

The standard of the rooms were of excellent quality with excellent linen and very neat showers. Access to the beach was a 1 minute walk through the hotel. Access to activities, shops and massages around the area was easy. We enjoyed the walks exploring. The hotel staff were also friendly. The hotel impressed in all respects except their breakfast selections. Breakfast was very basic with not much on offer - fruit, yoghurt, cereals, eggs, bacon and pastries. This is understandable given its a very small boutique hotel (fewer beds) and a larger variety would go to waste anyway. The restaurant staff were not very attentive sometimes in their own world at breakfast.

Perfect location, relaxing atmophere

I would HIGHLY recommend the Kirikayan to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, relaxing place to stay with wonderfully accommodating staff. The breakfast was amazing everyday - they do made to order omelletes that are fluffy and fully of good veggies (or meat if you want), there's fresh fruit and vegetables, Thai selections and Western choices. It was huge and opens early so we could eat and then go on the dive boat.
The south end of Chaweng has the gorgeous white sand and doesn't have the herds of people selling things, but you're a 10 min walk up the beach if you want to get in more of the action. The far north end of the beach is a little \"sludgy\" and definitely not up to par compared to the south end.
The room was spacious, clean, and the bathroom was more than big enough. The pool is wonderful - cooler than the ocean so you can cool down after napping in the lounge chairs. Also, they don't have that many rooms so we never had to fight for a lounge chair which was a HUGE plus! There are lounges up near the pool overlooking the ocean, and also down on the beach if you want to be in the sand. You won't regret it :)

Great Location

We stayed at this hotel's sister hotel a year ago and used the facilities of this hotel. We loved it so much that we decided to make a reservation and stay at this hotel. In comparison to our last visit, the hotel has totally lost it's ambiance. They used to offer massage services which no longer are available. The pool assistant was rude. We were really disappointed.

Quiet place towards the end of the beach, so its about a 15 min walk to get to the main pubs and clubs. Still lost of restaurants and bars on the way. Internet was a little slow and hard to get onto at times but overall a nice place.

Chaweng Beach

Hotel is at the quiet side of Chaweng beach, which means at least a 20 min walk to get to the bars and action. The hotel has large rooms with comfortable beds and great bathroom, however lacks plug points for charging laptop etc. If you looking for a quiet stay book in here, the pool and private beach are awesome, if you happy not being in the heart of the action.

A quiet but intimate get away

I arrived an hour early and they suggested that I relax by the pool until my room was ready & served me a refreshing welcome drink while I waited. An hour flew by as I was relaxing on the lounge chair and they escorted me to my deluxe room which was exactly like the photos & i was not disappointed! It poured down with rain the following day but they have a wide range of dvds you can watch for free including free wifi & breakfast is delicious too!

A wonderful hotel that Is 20mins walk to main chaweng shops. A great place to stay if you wanna be close but far enough from the main center.

Disappointing hotel

Me and my wife had booked this place for three nights, but were very disappointed with the place and left after one night (September 2013). In our opinion this is not a resort, but rather a simple basic hotel. For those who wants to enjoy Chaweng Beach and a real Koh Samui experience we highly recommend to pick another place.
- The pool is very small and uninviting.
- The sea shore is narrow. The hotel is located in the the south end of Chawend Beach which is less attractive.
- The number of pool/sea chairs is pretty small, and with no shade (this was very important for us)
- The breakfast wasn't good, with limited selection
- The customer service is terrible. The girls at the front-desk could not help us and their English is very minimal. They suggest us to call the manager but he didn't reply to ours calls.

On the good side, the room was big and nice.

We do not recommend this hotel.
