The staff at breakfast and happy hour were great. This hotel seems a bit older, for some reason they only had accessible rooms when I checked in when I did not request this style room. With the accessible room water gets everywhere in the shower, house keeping didn’t come by when I didn’t have my privacy sign up. Overall a great location to walk to seaport, gaslamp, convention center and other wonderful places. Also, not far from airport.

Great for a family stay, nice breakfast, clean, airy, enjoyed the social buzzing happy hour. Pool was a nice touch- open from 5am so perfect for the transatlantic arrivals.

Location is brilliant- very close to all the amenities- Top Gun Bar practically next door!

Rooms were clean and spacious. Nearly instant hot water in the shower. :) Definitely use the restaurant/gift shop credit to offset the destination fee. Breakfast and restaurant were great. Evening reception a bit less so food-wise but people enjoyed the free drinks.

Husband and I decided to visit San Diego last minute and after researching the downtown area decided the location of ES fit us perfectly. Short walk from the 992 bus stop to and from the airport. We booked through Expedia and selected a King Corner Suite. We had a wonderful view of the Harbor and will miss waking up to that in the am. Room was very spacious and clean. We enjoyed the nightly reception, bartenders were so friendly. Breakfast ran like a well oiled machine and food selection was wonderful. We were able to use our resort fee at the on-site restaurant and gift shop. The pizza at

This ES was the best one we have stayed at in a very long time. The location is a perfect for Seaport Village, walking to the Gaslamp District, Midway, and we even walked to Little Italy. Will definitely stay here again!

I’m giving this place 3 stars mainly because of the breakfast issue. We were told that breakfast was served until 10:00 AM, but when we arrived at the lobby at 9:15, everything had already been cleared away. I paid for breakfast but didn’t get to eat, and no one even apologized for the inconvenience.

Another concern was the parking fee — charging $70 for parking is simply too expensive and didn’t feel reasonable

The hotel went beyond my expectations. We have a six year old and she loved the room and stay. The location was great and the hotel was family friendly. We had a great time. The room was perfect. The pool was warm and very clean and we enjoyed our time. The breakfast was great as well and very convenient.

Yes, the location is good, the reception is friendly, and the rooms are clean—but that’s it.

Parking is falsely advertised. The site says “valet parking optional,” implying self-parking exists. It does not. Valet is mandatory at $75 per night plus $25 every time you retrieve your car, easily reaching $150–$200 per day. This is forced valet, not optional.

Breakfast was the worst part. What’s advertised as a buffet is not self-serve. Staff control portions, refuse seconds, and create an uncomfortable, almost humiliating atmosphere—especially for families. My child was denied extra bacon twice. That’s unacceptable at a $420/night hotel.

Service also felt inconsistent, with noticeably better treatment given to some guests who speaks spanish, which left a very bad impression.

Clean rooms and a good location do not excuse misleading parking and a restrictive, disrespectful dining experience. Families should think twice. I would not stay here again.

Great location, right by Seaport Village. The valet staff was extremely helpful but note that overnight parking is $70! The front desk staff was also great. Room was spacious with an anteroom separating the bedroom. The daily resort fee was returned as a food & beverage credit and guest also had access to a 1-hour stand up paddle offsite. The daily breakfast and evening hour was decent.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with friendly and fast service. The hotel and our room was clean and well stocked. We had everything we needed but if we didn't then it was provided to us quickly. The breakfast was phenomenal and thankfully complimentary. The only downside was hotel parking because it costs $70 a night! Otherwise staff was friendly and helpful. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Our stay was wonderful. The hotel’s location was convent to all of our interests. The staff was superb: helpful, courteous, and attentive. Breakfast was delicious. The nightlight above the in-room sink interfered with sleep. It could be unplugged.

When you go to travel , you actually miss your home . The moment I met Madison in front desk whose smile and greeting with such a warm heartedly made me feel I am home . Not only that , her concern of me be there with my teenager daughter alone and giving me all the additional information for my safety and everything else I need is just made me feel like I will have my best time . And later on , she didn’t forget to check on me if everything is going well and if there anything she can do make my vacation comfortable.. In one word “Outstanding!!” . Evan I am a Hilton honor l, I had to pay for parking $70 per night which is very expensive. Also, the room did not smell good and the carpet was not clean. They refused to give us a cart to bring our stuff in and they said we have to have their bellman do that which is also extra tips. I do not mind paying tips at all and I do that always, but they can’t force me to have someone looking at what my stuff and felt rushed off loading our belongings.

The room was great. But there parking fees were way too high. I got a welcome letter through Expedia for my stay and it stated that parking was $60. the hotel said they now charge $70 (per nite). the checkin girl said she would talk to her manager about it and she never got back to me. I had to talk to a different person right before we left and she took it down to the $60. They also have a weird additional $25 fee per night, that they said you could get $25 worth of food or stuff from the store or restaurant to compensated for that charge. I got $25 worth of Altoids

Room was great only thing is we had a leak from the shower that kept going on the floor. Besides that everything was good. The breakfast was decent, would be helpful if there are people down there monitoring and guiding people where to go and to check the tickets which they never checked mine. Overall I would come back it’s a nice hotel and the staff are awesome :).

Mandatory Valet parking of $70 plus another mandatory \"destination charges\" of $25 per day is a big turn off. Even though they give you an allowance of $25/day (that must be used at the same day) there is no place to spend.
The only place will be the mini market where 3 to 4 candies will cost you about $25. Breakfast is bad. Look somewhere else. There are better options near by.
