Soaking up the breeze, right bang smack on the sand, arms flung wide open to the Atlantic, this is JANEIRO. Located in the middle of Leblon's marvellous beach-culture, we bring Rio's bossa vibe to life.

Nature is a joyful accomplice. And what about that view?

The Cagarras islands scatter across a horizon blue as far as the eye can see. No make-believe needed here.

At night, the Moon beams, and in the distance, the lights of Vidigal glitter and dance like fireflies. Pure poetry for the eyes, woven into the urban effervescence of the city.

The barefoot simplicity of the beach finds its way into the smallest of details; from the rooms to the food, the music to the art, all is an extension of the golden sands out front. We sway to no other rhythm but Rio's.

WENT RIGHT BACK WITHON 2 MONTHS!! The staff are ALL STELLAR very hard to say ever, but whomever is hiring knows how to add value to the team. We enjoyed the whatsapp concierge, the breakfast plan is a must. It's unlimited menu items PLUS the buffet. And the food was also, STELLAR. We did eat out most nights, but dinner and lunch room service were again...you know it lol STELLAR. Shower pressure was fierce! Bed was comfy. They had a smart tv and toilet. Lovely bathtub I used the 1st time. A safe, ample closet and cabinet space. The fridge was stocked daily. Flip flops and robe provided in the king ocean front room, i feel like it would be that way all around, or they would provide if asked. And the beach in front of the hotel has an excellent bar that makes REAL drinks...not watered down. Nicely strong. Seriously, I'm here to look at booking again and the app asked for a review. If you have or haven't been to rio and this place comes up in your search, look into it. Also the pool is small as well as the pool sitting area, BUT the view is crazy. Worth a look because it was empty one time we went up there and the other, there was a couple adjacent us. It was still so nice n quiet. But the beach!!

The modern style and ocean view are unparalleled - loved the suite and the little gifts we got every day. Breakfast is very good and with the best view, while the other guests are also quite a vibe.

The pool is more of a tub but there are definitely other (many) reasons why a stay is worthwhile here.

Incredible & Relaxing Stay in Leblon

Amazing stay! Stayed at the Janeiro hotel for 3 nights with a group of 4 friends and everything from the rooms to the service was impeccable. Rooms are large, very well designed, and very comfortable, with added personalized touches that made our stay all the more special. Bathrooms are also quite large and the shower is amazing. We enjoyed our welcome drinks from the rooftop which has a really nice view (and the drink options also top notch) and a nice ambiance at night. Did not get a chance to try the restaurant except for ordering from the beach, which I will say took a very long time to arrive. Other than that the stay was absolutely perfect. Will definitely stay again!

Wow! So spectacular. Breathtaking views. The staff were lovely and wonderfully solicitous. Marvelous decor. In a very posh, secure neighborhood. Very good food and fine drinks. Rooftop bar with little lap pool was very pleasant and again with very warm service.
One beef: the bed was too firm for my tastes, and the pillows lumpy. The room could also use more hooks and a bit more seating.

The hotel is very detailed in every way. The rooms are very nice with great beds, great showers, and the decoration is a very contemporary, neutral with wood tones, modern and elegant similar to the 1Hotel in the Miami/NY. The food was also up to standards and the breakfast probably has one of the best views in Rio. The location of the hotel is also ideal with beachfront access as well as minutes away from the best restaurants in the city. The staff was all highly educated and add to the overall great experience.

The property seems to have been renovated. The view is great and the room spacious and modern. Charging for a expresso is an irritant, and I believe that power plugs should be adapted to US/European systems — this is an international hotel. The food at breakfast was innovative but mediocre in taste. The service was good.

Just a delightful hotel. Location and services were excellent. The modern design and decor were wonderful, but the staff made our stay exceptional. It was a hotel that was very hard to leave and I hope to spend good times here again.

Leblon comfort and style

This is a beautiful hotel and we had a lovely stay here. The staff was all very friendly and accommodating and the location was great, right on the beach in stunning Leblon. We loved the free bicycle rental too. It was so fun to take advantage of the beach front street being closed on the weekend to cars. We also appreciated the cookie/water and accompanying turn-down service. The rooftop has fantastic views and the small pool does too. Our only complaint was the lack of filtered water (not in plastic bottles) and fresh juices (only juices were in plastic bottles). If Janeiro can improve on sustainability/eliminate so many single-use plastics, it will be truly perfect!

Excellent and safe location to see all the Rio classic sights. Staff were great and the late check out free of charge was very much appreciated as we had a late flight back home. Roof top bar and pool was stunning, great views and a fantastic place to chill after a busy day sight seeing or on the beach.

Its clear that they need to fine tune some of the \"soft opening\" kinks. And the walls could be thicker (can hear people outside the bedroom and walking in the rooms above).

Amazing renovated hotel on Leblon beach

The staff were very friendly, our “ocean front” room was clean, spacious and quiet with a large comfortable bed, a double shower overlooking the beach, a Netflix ready TV, all the amenities needed (plus a complementary pair of Havaianas flip flops) and a bathtub. Overall an amazing experience!
When booking be aware that the ocean view rooms are partial ocean view rooms; if you want a full ocean view book “ocean front”.

Conforto e boas vibes no Leblon

O hotel é muito confortável em todos os aspectos: cama, banhheiro, ducha, etc.
A vista da piscina e varanda (não é rooftop :D) é fantástica.
Localização perfeita em um bairro tranquilo onde se faz tudo a pé.Sensação de segurança surpreendente.
O serviço de personal na praia proporcionado pelo Bernardo Rasta é um ponto alto, pela simpatia e profissionalismo, não deixem de aproveitar!
O staff é muito atencioso, educado e solícito.
A vibe do hotel é muito leve, elegante mas não prepotente. A cara do Rio.
Único porém foram os preços do restaurante (em que pese a excelente comida) e do café da manhã, um pouco excessivos, fora isso seria 10 de 10.

Tudo ótimo! A localização, o atendimento, às instalações e a comida perfeito. A única coisa é a bateção de porta no corredor tanto de outros hóspedes como de funcionários. O hotel não estava lotado seria legal espalhar os hóspedes pra não acontecer isso já q o corredor é pequeno e as camas grudadas na porta do quarto.

O Janeiro é sempre minha primeira opção de hotel no Rio.

O bom gosto nas instalações e a atenção a cada detalhe são de uma elegância despretensiosa, mas que impressionam.

O staff é certamente o ponto alto do hotel, o serviço é impecável, eles estão sempre um passo à frente para que a estadia seja memorável.

Infelizmente não fui informado de que a piscina estaria em reforma, mas creio que as melhorias deixarão a estrutura do hotel ainda melhor!
