I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The room wasn’t properly cleaned—I found hair in the bathroom—and the toilet and overall room condition felt quite run down and in need of maintenance.

Air con did not work the whole week I stayed. I spoke with reception more than 5 times requesting that they please sort the air con but nothing was sorted. It was over 30 degrees in Rio de Janeiro the entire time and without air con i struggled to sleep every night. Upon checking out, I requested a discount due to the air con not working and they told me no. The woman at the reception desk was rude and when I asked to speak with the manager she refused to call them. She simply said I must pay. To spend this amount of money per night at a hotel and receive such poor level of service and have an air con that does not work is unacceptable.

The staff are kind and work well. The location is good and the rooms are mostly clean. That's where the positives end. The bed feels like sleeping on concrete. The pillows are equally awful. The ac barely works and is incredibly loud. Sometimes ice builds up and makes an incredibly loud noise when it hits the blower. The included breakfast is ok not great. Ate it twice in ten days. The buffet has little variety: the dishes do not change throughout the days, which can become repetitive if you plan to stay for several nights. Regarding cleanliness, we found mold in the bathroom, which shows a lack of proper maintenance. I believe this is not about the staff’s attitude, but more about the management not providing the right tools to deliver better service.
On the positive side, the staff was very kind. Both in the breakfast area and in housekeeping, they were always attentive and friendly, which made the stay more pleasant.

I was mislead, service such as transfer one of the reasons I booked this hotel, they do not offer that as state, they also do not have bath robes. They didn't answered my messages until 2 days before I had to check in. Bed is very hard, service was good once I arrived. Cleaning was terrible, there was black hair all over the floor my whole stay, I don't have black hair. I stayed 6 nights, they never changed my bed sheets. Breakfast they kept running out of food, plates and silverware. I wouldn't stay there again.

The hotel was in a good location (10 minute walk to the beach) and in a safe area.
The hotel itself is nice but it does need some updating with minor repairs to get it looking in quality shape (repainting and caulking)

Was in room 211 . Breakfast was good. Front desk was not overly friendly , but okay. Overall I would probably stay elsewhere next time. Good location .

Most hotels along Copa ad Ipanema are from the 60-70s including apartment buildings.But this is a modern hotel. Location was excellent but didn't feel comfortable walking around at night with my family. The daily breakfast was great and better than American hotels that include monotonous and plastic breakfast!

Overall, our stay was pleasant. The hotel is in a great area- minutes walk away from Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, close to restaurants and supermarkets. Breakfast was decent. The rooms were small but that's normal in Rio. The WiFi connection was very good which is actually unusual in Rio.
The main complaint is that the bathtub was DIRTY! I mean covered in the kind of soap scum that takes weeks to build up dirty. We went to buy a scrub sponge and clean it before standing in it to take a shower kind of dirty. After staying for several days and cleaning the tub a little more each day, we decided to take a chance and take a bath. Bad idea! There was dirt built up around the jets and I ended up with a painful rash. It's a shame because few hotels in Brazil have baths and a Jacuzzi tub was part of the appeal but it was just gross. I even hung our wet bathing suits on the metal bar at the top of the shower to dry and ended up with black streaks that permanently stained them. Not sure if it was grease, dirt, mold or some combo... The rest of the place seemed pretty clean and housekeeping did a good job tidying up during our stay. Not sure why the tub was so dirty...

Las instalaciones y nuestra habitación fue simplemente perfecta, viajamos con nuestro perrito y nos colocaron un kit para el con cama, tapete y bebedero, el desayuno estuvo bastante completo. La ubicación a 10 min de la playa de Copacabana o de Ipanema, el área es bastante patrullada por los policías, sin embargo es importante estar atento. La atención del staff podría mejorar para hacer de la estadía de los clientes más personalizada y especial. En general me parece muy bueno en cuanto a relación precio y calidad, lo recomiendo.

This hotel had potential. Bedroom was spacious and appeared to had been recently renovated. But I was placed on the second floor facing street, and it was SO NOISY. I could hear what people were chatting on the street. Metal carts retrieving linen in the morning was so loud.
Breakfast was good. It had a good spread with fruits and pastries. I am familiar with Brazilian food and the language, but there was no sign in English explaining what the pastries were. I know some had ham or chicken, for example. But a vegetarian wouldn't know. I asked one of the attendants one day and even he didn't know what it was.
I also had issue getting the shower at the right temp. Again, there was no indication which side was hot or cold.
It seems the hotel is not really geared toward foreigners, and the experience may be better if at higher floor.

This property is convenient located between both major beaches in Rio. It's a short easy walk to shops of Copacabana or the restaurants of Ipanema. The room I had was the king suite with the large bathroom and soaking tub and I absolutely loved it! The 12th floor room offers great views of the city including the Cantagalo–Pavão–Pavãozinho. The staff was super friendly and helpful and the included breakfast was a perfect way to start my day in Rio.

Lication, Location, Location is key! This place is in a GREAT spot in Rio. Near everything really. Breakfast, really good and light. Had fun my entire stay. Agents were very helpful in what I seeked. Close to transportation, bike raxks across street and a little xommunity grocery store at blocks end. Not a slight, but my only observation was power surge issues happened throughout stay (could be weather relayed, or not). Not the surprise you seek when you're relaxing in the big-bowled tub. But a gem hotel and location for sure!!!

Incredible design, wonderful room set up, the bathroom is amazing. Great Covid safety measures. On the negative side, the air conditioning, which is placed on the wall in the middle of the room, leaks water, and clearly is an older issue since the wall is damaged. I had to use a bucket to collect water at night and towels. I reported it to the reception to two people, and both said “ah OK,” no I’m sorry, no accommodations for the unpleasant experience. both people seem to be busy playing with the computer. Breakfast was really good, unfortunately not enough staffing. There was no hot water for the tea, when I request some it came in on old carafe that was so dirty that particles fell into the cup.

I had a very pleasurable stay! Gabriel at the Front Desk was absolutely amazing and took care of all my needs every time I needed help. The hotel was incredibly clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect! The only thing that wasn’t that great was the wifi. The signal was very weak and it got to the point that I had to leave my room on the 11th floor and come down to the lobby floor to get a good signal and be able to get my work done. Other than that, I have no complaints! I would definitely stay again on my next trip to Rio!

I was a bit surprised with the high reviews. The first floor feels like a basement. You can’t open the curtains and the rooms are below street level with a very insecure sliding door. Everyone seemed so friendly in Rio, except for a few of the people working the front desk. The man who helped with my luggage was very kind and continued to be throughout my visit. My front desk calls were never answered in the time I was there. The toilet seat needs to be changed and the sheets should be fitted on the mattress, rather than just a regular sheet laying across.

I do think they should have dedicated shower/changing room for guests that check out early but have late flights, and they could probably do with a pool. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay!

Breakfast was acceptable. The rooms are decent and quiet. I would stay at this hotel again, though I would probably look for one that was right on the beach next time.

However, they didn’t provide “face towels” to wash your face or body with... not good for those who actually uses hand/face towels to bathe with. That was a challenge, so I got myself to a more expensive Hotel and helped myself to a few wash towels in order to properly bathe/clean my body with.

The good: amazing location which feels fairly safe even at night, which is super important in Rio. There was great food near by. Breakfast was really good.
The Bad
We arrived at 10pm and when we got to our room we discovered that we were given a room that was never cleaned from the previous guests. We went down to the reception and got a new room. The down button for the elevator on our floor never worked so we would usually go up a few floors and only then down. When we reached our new room its looked good from a first glance but after we got in and looked around we discoved that all of the sheets had stains on them, when say all I mean all of them. The Bad
We arrived at 10pm and when we got to our room we discovered that we were given a room that was never cleaned from the previous guests. We went down to the reception and got a new room. The down button for the elevator on our floor never worked so we would usually go up a few floors and only then down. When we reached our new room its looked good from a first glance but after we got in and looked around we discoved that all of the sheets had stains on them, when say all I mean all of them. It was really clean and spacious. The staff was amazingly nice and accommodating. The breakfast was also delicious! It's in the safe area of Ipanema and a short walk to the beach and General Osorio square. Easy to access by Uber as well - the porter also helped us spot the Uber. Would stay there again if we are back in Rio!

Beautiful hotel. But it is seriously understaffed and unable to handle full capacity. The manager was professional and courteous in handling our problem. Our room was not cleaned when we got back to the hotel at 7pm after a hot day touring Rio. And the breakfast was chaotic and the food was repetitive. This should not happen at a supposedly 5 star hotel.

My stay was horrible as I have been to brazil many times and have accumulated a lot of friends there I was told I was not allowed to have guests in my room whether they checked in or not and if I was to have a guest I would be charged 100reais even though they weren’t staying the night. They said it was hotel policy. I told them if they had this policy they should of told me at checkin so I could stay somewhere else. They told me I could sit in the Lobby and converse there. I have stayed in many hotels in Rio and never had this problem.

When we asked again on the day of checkout, a lady immediately agreed to our request. A simple request need to be asked 3 times and we got 3 different replies.
