The Hotel Martinique Copacabana is in a great location. It's just behind a beach front apartment so it's a stone's throw away from the famous beach. It's also a short bus or UBER ride away from all the major tourist attractions: Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf Mountain etc. It's generally a comfortable enough hotel but the rooms are small and the bathrooms, in particular were extremely small

Excellent hotel! Located close to the beach. Comfy beds and best of all quiet at night. The shower pressure for water in the shower was outstanding! Everything was walkable. There was a grocery store and pharmacy on the same block. They have a list of safe local tour operators that are excellently priced and make all arrangements for you. The buffet breakfast was top notch as was dinner. Highly recommend 👌 The only draw back is this hotel is busy, if you arrive on an early morning flight its difficult to get an early check-in. However, the staff are quite hospitable and will store your bags and you can wait at the roof top pool. The Manager was wonderful and did get us in for 130pm although check in is 3pm. Excellent hotel overall. I would definitely stay again!

Our room was not attended to by housekeeping at all for our 3 day stay.no beds made, no bathroom cleaned, no towels changed. We had to chase up the housekeeper to get a couple of clean towels on the second day. A complaint to the management did not make any difference.

My stay at Windsor Martinique Copacabana Hotel was very disappointing.
On December 26 at around 7:00 AM, I went to reception to meet my tour guide and asked for help calling them using a local number. A male staff member at reception spoke to me in a rude and dismissive manner and refused to assist. His behavior was unprofessional and unacceptable, especially in a time-sensitive situation.
The same staff member had also ignored my complaints the day before about a non-working toilet and broken room phone, which were not fixed for two days.
Additionally, the room was much smaller than advertised.
Overall, poor service, rude reception staff, and unresolved maintenance issues made this a very negative experience. I would not recommend this hotel. Bad food in the restaurant.

My son and I spent 22 days here enjoying all the football, foot volley, Açaí, Roxy, Marcacana tour, Copacabana and Ipanema Beaches, Christ the Redeemer, Urca Mountain, Sugarloaf, Lapa Steps, Roxy, Brazilian culture and more! The hospitality and helpfulness of the desk speaking Spanish, English, and Portuguese was awesome. Housekeeping kept our stay clean! Thank you for sharing your country!

I felt very welcomed and there's very good customer service by the front desk and room service. I felt safe. The doormen and security are also very friendly and helpful. Front desk told me that they do charged an extra guest fee which I thought was very strange because the guest was visiting me and not staying over with me, but I was also told that this is something common in Brazil. They were nice and made an exception for me because I had health issues and needed a guest to assist me with my health issues during the day. So I was not charged an extra guest fee and they were very friendly. I would definitely stay here again due to the location, safety and cleanliness of the hotel. Beds are comfortable and you have your own air thermostat which is also great. I had a slight beach view which was a treat. I enjoyed my stay. Photos of the king size bedroom was accurate and the bathroom had a great bathtub and lots of space on the counter for your toiletries. I was always answered promptly and treated with smiles. Even the housekeepers were excellent and nice.

The Windsor Martinique is a charming, slightly older-style hotel a few steps from Copacabana beach. The staff were extremely professional, welcoming, and friendly. I stayed for nearly two weeks at the property, and throughout my stay I found them to be accommodating and helpful at every turn. This hotel is clearly popular with tourist groups from all over the world, and they managed the flow very well. My room had powerful AC, the cleaning crew visited every day, and the water pressure was great. This is the sort of hotel you see in Paris, Rome, or any other top-tier destination city.
In terms of the location, I found it extremely convenient, near both Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, and an entrance to General Osario station, it was in an ideal location for public transit or walking (and uber rides were also a great option). For those concerned with safety, I never felt unsafe walking around this part of Copacabana or Ipanema, even at night (it felt comparable to the Times Square in NYC). The area gets much quieter after 11PM and I would recommend using common sense in venturing out at night, stick to areas with more people, like the ocean promenade.
We opted not to do the breakfast option, and if you are a budget traveler there is a great juice stand across Av. Nossa Str. de Copacabana and several smaller cafes and breakfast place, we liked Drop Coffee and Panadero.

just back from a Wonderful Stay at the Windson Martinque Copacabana. Just steps from the world famous Copacabana Beach where i spent every day enjoying the warm temperatures and lovely sandy beach. We were all greeted by wonderful Customer service at the hotel. Everyone at the front desk were fabulous. Marcio Andrade and Gabriela Martins checked us all in and explained everything we had to know about the hotel and the area. Both are complete professionals and were a great help while we were there. Gabriea arranged all of our tours to Christ the Redemer and Sugarloaf. We had the most fantastic guide his name was Gus. These two tours are a must. The breakfast buffet is perfect, There is something for everyone, all fresh. All of the employees in the restaurant were great and always helpful. The bellboys in the hotel were also terrific, They were always there to help us and spoke english. Security also always present and always greeted us when we returned from out night out. Next door is a money change store. make a left at the corner and we had a good souvenir store and also a grocery store. Also a really nice buffett The outdorr grill. This is a Fantastiv Hotel to stay at and filled with wonderful professionals. Our room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep after long days of exploring Rio. The bathroom was modern and tidy, and we appreciated the amenities like the in-room safe and small fridge. However, it would have been a nice touch to have a coffee maker or electric kettle in the room for heating water for tea or instant coffee, especially for those early mornings or late-night cravings.

Staff polite and professional. We arrived very early and were offered room at half day rate or leave bags for free and use of roof top pool. Excellent location. Few minutes walk to Copacabana beach. Nearest metro 15 minute walk. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Uber from hotel to GIG airport £9.50. Airport taxi to hotel was £28! Room spacious and clean. Wardrobe and three drawers. Safe for valuables. Very little counter space which was frustrating and we travel very light. Air conditioning very efficient. Room was quiet. Free beach towels in reception. Buffet breakfast very good. Lots of choices.

The staff (specially front desk) was very unfriendly. I had an early flight so arrived before check in time and despite having rooms leaving way before noon, they didn’t prepare any for me until 2 pm. The explanation ‘they enter to clean at noon’. Zero hospitality and service knowledge. I explain to them that i had booked the room for an extra night because my flight was late and since I was waiting and i was going to miss that one breakfast if I could have it the day of check in and they said no… all and all, very bad experience with the staff!

A Great hotel a Great Price
I highly recommend the hotel. 1. It is very well-staffed (over-staffed really) and everyone is extremely helpful and gracious. Your concerns, questions, and requests are immediately acted upon. 2. It is clean and comfortable. 3. It is in an extremely good location, and is just short of one block from the beach, and close to bars, restaurants, stores, etc. and to Ipanema. 4. the neighborhood (including the block from the beach, and Rua de Nossa Senhora de Copacabana, parallel to the beach ) has tons of foot traffic and is safe at least till around 9PM, when stores close. 5. There are safes in each room. 6. Our room was quiet, even though facing the street. 7. Wifi quality was usually good, but sometimes slow. 8. Our room and bathroom were very clean, but there was some rust and mold on the edges of the shower door. - The hotel is very-well maintained, but can use a makeover. I found this a minor inconvenience. 9. The pool is 4 1/2 feet teep (1.5m), and 15 ft long - more of a huge tub than pool. It takes 2-4 strokes to swim a length. The gym is a small room with 2 treadmills, 1 bike, a few light free-weights, and no scale.
All in all, this is a great place to stay at a great price, and I will always come back here.

Staff were very polite although surprised that they did not have more information on trips/ bicycle hire etc. but this is only a small negative to what is an amazing location. Supermarket, pharmacy and shops within 100m. There is a full deluxe hotel in the same chain opposite.

You can see this hotel has history, but still kept in a very good condition, the rooms are small and can only accommodate 2 people, we were travelling as family so we needed to book 2 rooms, it’s literally on the beach, very convenient to go to Copacabana and Ipanema beach, on the main boulevard there are all kinds of stores and restaurants, I would stay in this hotel again and I recommend it.
